I looked at the paper in my hand and revised it one more time.
"Narcissa! I finished the song! Do you want to hear it?" I asked as I turned to my best friend-slash-crush.
"You did? Sure sing it loud and clear." she said dramatically.
I waved my wand wordlessly as the piano started playing by itself.

I ended my song with a smile to see Narcissa staring at me wonderstruck as I giggled.
"So.. I'm guessing that your crush has ocean eyes??" she asked.
"Yep" I nodded.
"Come on (Y/N)!! Please tell me who your crush is!!"
"I'm sorry Cissa but I can't"
"WHY?!? I'm your BEST FRIEND I deserve to know!!" she said irritated.
"THAT'S EXACTLY THE PROBLEM!!!" i snapped.
"Wh-wha?" she said with a hurt look on her face.
I felt guilt surging through me at her saddened expression. I took her hands in mine and said softly.
"yes Cissa, the reason I can't tell who my crush is, is because you're my best friend. you see, you're my crush. I am head over heels for you. and i don't know if you like me the same way, and i don't want you to hate me because you're my best friend and i can't afford to lose you."
I looked at her to see her staring at me with tears in her eyes.
"oh (Y/N) I could never hate you. In fact, I fancy you!! I fancy you so much!! I was jealous because I thought you liked someone other than me. Oh (Y/N)!"
I brought her into a kiss, grabbing her face gently as we both smiled into it.
