"When exactly are you going to see her?" Sekido asks, folding up the letter he wrote for you.
"I have this feeling that... Tanjiro will want me to go with him to the village soon." You hum, "Even if he doesn't ask, you and I will be going anyway in 3 days."
"Ah, okay," Sekido ties the paper around Tu Cielito's leg, "So um... how are you feeling-"
"-I'm going to train with 'Nemi," You stand up, already walking to leave the room.
You're not going to talk about it. Sekido was the one who took the initiative to make you move out of Kyojuro's place. If Sekido knew you were this close to falling off the deep end, he'd probably take the initiative to send you home.

"We'll be back soon," You said, "Don't be mean to Damien while we're gone."
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever." Sanemi rolls his eyes.
"Who's Damien?" Tanjiro asks with a smile.
You and Sanemi share a look.
"No one."
"Who?"
Tanjiro sighs in defeat.
"Anyway," Sanemi shakes his head, "where are you two going?"
Tanjiro had shown up at Sanemi's Estate with two kakushi with him. After you both sobbed in joy from finally seeing each other again after months, Tanjiro invited you (and Sekido) to accompany him to the swordsmith village.
He'd broken his sword during his fight with Upper Moon 5, and Kyojuro had gifted him a matching flame hand-guard, anyway.
"It's a super-secret," You smile, "It's um... plot, I guess."
The Hashira nods in understanding, "Ah, okay."
Tanjiro leans forward, "What does plot mean?"
"Let's go, Tanjiro!" You clap your hands together, "I can't wait to spend time with you!"
"..."
"..."
"Oh."
Tanjiro's face bursts into red while a stupid grin takes his features. He grabs your hand and pulls you towards the kakushi.
"Y-YEAH!! LET'S [fucking] GOOOO!!!"

"But I think it might be a good look on me," Tanjiro says, "What's wrong with all black clothing?"
"Well, some people might say that all black clothing will make you look like an evil villain," You grin, "Not me though; I think you'll look like a sexy motorcycle-vroom!"
Tanjiro's cheeks heat up at the word 'sexy,' but he had no idea what your compliment meant.
"What's a motorcycle?" Tanjiro asks with an embarrassed smile.
Before you can answer, the kakushi (who were, unfortunately, listening in to your weird conversation with Tanjiro) had stopped walking.
Carefully, the kakushi lowers you to the ground, making sure you're on stable feet before untying the blindfold.
"I'll take this off now," She says, already pulling off the fabric.
You're taken aback by the sight. You seriously underestimated how big the village was. It was very beautiful, and you felt a bit nostalgic from seeing the big buildings.
"WHOAAAAAAAHHH!! Those are amazing buildings!" Tanjiro gushes, suddenly right by your side, "And I know this smell! There's a hot spring nearby!"
"Yeah, there is one!" The female kakushi who carried Tanjiro nods, "You'll see a large house when you turn left there. Make sure to greet them first and foremost, you two."
"Okay!" Tanjiro grins.
"By the way," You speak up, "Where is Eno Miku staying?"
Eno Miku? Tanjiro doesn't know that name, but she shared the same name as Gerik, so maybe they were related in some way?
"Yes, we were told that you'd be visiting soon," The male kakushi- who was carrying you -nods, "After you two meet with the chief of the village, you will be taken to see her."
The kakushi bows slightly, "We'll be taking my leave now."
"Thank you-"
"-Thank you so much!"
Tanjiro is so precious.

"Hey, (Y/n)... Who is Eno Miku?" Tanjiro asks.
"She is Gerik's wife... well, was..." You clear your throat, "But uh, anywho!"
You grab Tanjiro's left hand and pull his sleeve back.
You gasp dramatically and hug his hand up your chest, "You still wear the bracelet I gave you??"
Tanjiro's cheeks flare up as a chuckle weakly escapes him, "Of course, (Y/n)! It's very precious to me because it's from you!"
"Tanjiro, you're so precious!"
"Oh! I-I think you are precious, too!"
AAAAAAAAHHHHHH!! HE'S SUCH A HIMBO!!! YOU LOVE HIM!!!!
You lower Tanjiro's hand to swing your joined hands between you two;
"So... what's a motorcycle?"

"Hello there. I am the chief of this village, Tecchiawahara Tecchin," The old man with the clown mask greets, "Very nice to meet you."
He's so small. He's so tiny.
"I may be the smallest in this village, but I am also the best at my craft. Now bow your head so low it touches the mat."
Rude slut.
"Kamado Tanjiro!" Tanjiro slams his forehead on the floor, "Very honored to meet you!"
You refrain from rolling your eyes and bow down, you don't slam your head down, but it still touches the mat.
"(L/n) (Y/n)," You introduce quieter, "It's a pleasure to meet you."
"(Y/n)? You're Miku's and Gerik's kid?" Tecchin asks.
You look up with wide eyes, "...Yes. I-I am..."
Tanjiro raises his head with a confused look. Is he missing something?
Actually, now that he thinks about it, Tanjiro doesn't really know anything about your home life and your biological mother.
Maybe he should ask later when he can.
"Losing Gerik was a great loss to us all, and Miku never admits it out loud, but you are the most important person in her life now. So, even if you are a Demon Slayer, this village is home to you as well, (L/n)," Tecchin hums, "When we finish here, you'll go visit her, won't you?"
You sniff back your tears and slam your forehead on the mat in gratitude, "Yes, I will. Thank you so much...!"
"What good children you two are," Tecchin picks up a basket from his side, "Now come over here and take some dough cakes."
"Thank you so much!" Tanjiro smiles, taking the basket.
"Thank you." You take a dough cake.
"Now, Tanjiro," Tecchin turns to look at the redhead, "Hotaru has gone missing right now. We're doing our best to look for him, so please be patient."
Tanjiro tilts his head, "Hotaru?"
"Yes. Haganezuka Hotaru."
"What a cute name!"
Tecchin nods, "I'm the one who gave it to him. But he keeps bad-mouthing me since he says it's too cute."
"That's pretty sad." Tanjiro pouts while offering you another dough cake.
"He's always been like this ever since he was a child. He always throws tantrums right away, then he goes off somewhere," Tecchin sighs, "Sorry about that."
Tanjiro frantically waves his hands, "Oh, no, no! I'm the one who ends up either breaking the sword or chipping it."
"No, you're wrong. It's his fault for creating a sword that could actually break."
"Ooh, shots fired," You mumble behind your cake.
The man sitting on Tecchin's right swings his fist, "As soon as we find him, we'll seize him and bring him over. So don't worry about anything."
"Please don't be so violent..." Tanjiro smiles nervously.
"I heard your body still hasn't recovered enough to be sent out into the field, Tanjiro. So if Hotaru doesn't forge your sword by then, we'll have someone else do it." Tecchin informs, "The hot spring in our village does wonders for the body. So please spend some time there, then go visit Miku."
You and Tanjiro stand up and bow, thanking Tecchin for his hospitality.

"I think we should do some kind of performance," You say a bit timidly, "We've been going through one tragedy after another; something silly to do will be fun, no?"
"Yes!" Tanjiro stops in the middle of his tracks, taking your hands into his, "You... You don't smile as genuine as you used to. And it hurts my heart because yo-your smile is beautiful!"
The man who was escorting you and Tanjiro stopped as well, though he kept his back towards you two. Of course, he was listening in; he couldn't help it!
Tanjiro was blushing, and you were embarrassed, too.
"Let's put on a show! For Miku, too!" Tanjiro squeezes your hands, "Anything to see you smile once again!"
"SIMP!!"
"SHUT UP, SEKIDO!!" You roll your eyes, "Ya que estas metiche, what kind of performance should we do?
Tanjiro releases one of your hands, pulling you along to follow the swordsmith.
Sekido speaks from the box, "Have you ever seen the movie Burlesque?"

"AAAAAHHHH!! IT'S TANJIRO AND (Y/N)!!" Mitsuri runs towards you two with tears in her eyes and titties in the air, "TANJIROOO!! (Y/NNN)!!"
"Kanroji, your titties are gonna spill," You say bluntly, very obviously staring, "Unless that's the look you're going for."
"(Y/n), that's too blunt!" Tanjiro purposely looks away from Mitsuri as you help her cover-up.
"LISTEN, LISTEEEEN!" Mitsuri grabs your hands while falling to her knees, "I GOT IGNORED! I GREETED HIM, AND HE IGNORED ME!"
"Who did?" Tanjiro pops his head over your shoulder.
"I don't know! I asked him his name, and he ignored me! Isn't that just cruel? I'm a Pillar!" Mitsuri cries, "Now all that good energy I got from coming out the spring is completely gone!"
Ah, she's talking about Genya!
"He was probably just too embarrassed to talk to a cute girl," You pat her head,
"You think so?" She sniffs.
"It looks like they'll be done with dinner soon. I heard they used Matsutake Mushrooms." Tanjiro comments.
"WHOAAAA!!! YOU SERIOUS?!" Mitsuri scrambles to her feet.
She doesn't bother to say goodbye before she's running away.
Yike.
"That happened," You shrug, pulling Tanjiro by the hand, "By the way, Tanji! Sekido and I thought of the performance you'll do!"
Tanjiro balks, "Wait-I'm the one performing??"
"Yeah, obviously, dude."
"Oh... w-well, what am I doing then?"
"Ever heard of pole dancing?"
