AT THE END OF THE DAY
" Oh! Harry? If you die down there, you're welcome share my toilet. "
- Myrtle Elizabeth Warren.
( Moaning Myrtle) .
" Myrtle! " Y/n called, after entering the abandoned bathroom. The ghost appeared, looking around timidly.
" Oh, it's you! "
She stated and Y/n smiled slightly,
" Oh! Hello Harry. " She says, batting her eyelashes.
" What do you want? " She snapped suddenly, realising he had guests.
" To ask you how you died. "
" It was dreadful. It happened right here in this very cubicle. I'd hidden because Olive Hornby was teasing me about my glasses. I was crying, and then I heard somebody come in. "
Myrtle weeps and Y/n frowned.
" Who was it? "
" I don't know. I was distraught. But they said something funny, a kind of made-up language. And I realized it was a boy speaking, so I unlocked the door to tell him to go away and I died. "
" Just like that? How? " Harry asks, his eye brows furrowed.
" I just remember seeing a pair of great, big, yellow eyes over there by that
sink. " She says, pointing at the sink behind them.
Y/n grabbed Harry's arm and led him towards the sink." This is it. " Harry exclaimed, and Ron joined his side, his wand still pointed at Lockhart.
" Say something in Parsletongue." Ron nudges and Harry nodded. Harey hissed again and the sink clicked.
As the sinks start to move and revealed an abyss, Lockhart laughed heartily.
" Ha! Very good, kids. Well, then I'll just be... There's no need for me to stay. " He says, making an attempt to run away. Harry quickly stopped him.
" Yes, there is. " Harry says and Ron pushed Lockhart towards the sink, who yelped slightly.
" You first. " Harry said and Y/n smirked.
" Now boys, what good will it do? " He asks.
" Better you than us. " Ron says and Y/n bit her lip, before he could say anything, Ron poked him with his wand, pushing Lockhart inside.
He screams as he falls down and hits floor with a loud thud. " It's really quite filthy down here. " We heard him say.
" That's nice. Doesn't it seem like your house? " Y/n yelled and heard a grunt. She grinned at Harry, " Let's go. "
" No, you're staying. Actually, go warn Dumbledore and tell him about everything. " Y/n frowned but nodded slightly.
" Oh! Harry? If you die down there, you're welcome share my toilet. " Myrtle says and Y/n coughed, trying to cover her laughter.
" Er.. Thanks Myrtle. " Harry flushes and Y/n laughed, pulling him in a hug.
" Don't die down there, you two! I swear to God I'll haunt your ghosts if you do. "
Ron chuckled as Y/n hugged him too.
" We're supposed to haunt since we're ghosts. " Y/n rolled her eyes, " Oh, shut up! And go. I'll go to Dumbledore. "
Harry nodded and Y/n glanced at them one more time before rushing outside. She sprinted down the hallways and suddenly crashed into someone.
A groan escaped her lips as she realised someone was toppled over her and opened her eyes. Draco groaned too and looked at the person with a sneer.
Once he met the green eyes however, his face instantly softened against his will. For what seemed like an eternity, the two stared at each other and Y/n couldn't help but notice an all too familiar glint in his eyes.
The one Y/n was used to see in someone who she figures are the nice people at heart.
And just like that, Y/n suddenly snapped out of the trance. She realised it was Draco Malfoy, and she also recalled she needed to get to Dumbledore.
" Shoot! " She pushed Draco off of her and stood up, dusting her robes. Draco regained his composure and glared at her, " Couldn't you watch where you're going? "
He snapped and Y/n rolled her eyes.
" Not now, Malfoy! I need to warn Dumbledore we found the Chamber! " She rambled and started heading towards Dumbledore's office.
" Found the chamber? " Draco matched her pace and Y/n nodded. " Yeah! Ginny is down there and Harry too with Ron and Lockhart. "
As they reached the Gargoyle, Y/n stopped. She didn't know the password. Draco scoffed, " What's the password then? "
He crossed his arms and Y/n bit her lip, thinking herd. " Lemon Drops? " Draco jumped as the Gargoyle moved. Y/n shot him a smirk and jumped on the stairs, waving at Draco.
The blond bit back a smile, cursing himself before he turned on his heels and marched away. He would never accept it, but he was glad Y/n didn't go down to the supposed Chamber with Harry Potter.
Once Y/n reached the door, she knocked and stepped in. " Professor?! " Dumbledore smiled, " Come in, Miss Moonstone. "
Y/n sighed in relief and ran towards his desk. " Professor, Harry went down the Chamber of Secrets. It was in the abandoned girls' lavatory. " Y/n took a dedo breath and Dumbledore smiled, sitting up straighter.
" Who else with him, Y/n? " Y/n bit the inside of her cheek, " Ron and Lockhart. Well, we more of a forced Lockhart to go in there but anyway! "
Dumbledore nodded, " Thank you for informing, Miss Moonstone. I'm sure Harry needs help. " Y/n beamed as the bird she knew, Fawkes, a phoenix flew away.
Once the old wizard dismissed her, Y/n rushed to the Hospital Wing. She couldn't help but worry, hoping Harry, Ginny and Ron were okay. She couldn't care less about Lockhart but a part of her wanted him to be alright too.
She settled beside Hermione and grabbed her hand, sighing.

Dinner.

" Hermione! " Y/n squealed, pulling her best friend in a tight hug. She was glad everyone was brought back to their normal state with the help of Mandrakes.
" Are you alright? " Hermione nodded,
" Yes, I'm fine. " Y/n sighed and looked behind her.
" Luis!! " She threw her hands around the boys neck and the two stumbled,
" Oh, thank God you're okay! " She mumbled against his shoulder and Luis flushed.
" I'm fine, N/n. " He smiled and Hermione giggled in the background. Once Y/n pulled away, she looked at both. Hermione jumped down the bed,
" Are Harry and Ron alright? "
Y/n nodded, " Ginny was taken down in the chamber. Actually, Riddle, I mean Voldemort was possessing her and he took her down there. Than Harry went down there with Ron and Lockhart and saved her. "
Hermione grinned, " Oh, thank Goodness! "
" Let's go, we don't want to be late for End-of-the-Year feast. " Y/n grabbed Luis's hand and then Hermione's and dragged the two outside.
Once they reached the Great Hall, Sir Nicholas passed them. " Welcome back, Miss Granger. Mr. Bennett. "
Y/n smiled as they spotted Ron and Harry. Hermione instantly broke into a sprint while Y/n dragged Luis to her table rather then Hufflepuff.
Once they settled down, Y/n giggled as Hermione went to hug Ron but ended up giving him an awkward hand shake.
She shared a funny look with Harry.
Once everyone settled down, McGonagall clinked her glass with a spoon.
" Before we begin the feast, let us have a round of applause for Professor Sprout, Madam Pomfrey whose Mandrake juice has been so successfully administered to all those who had been petrified. " Dumbledore says and everyone burst into cheers and applaud.
".... Also, in light of the recent events, as a school treat, all exams have been cancelled. " Dumbledore says the cheers only got louder.
" Oh, no! " Only Hermione sulked and Y/n laughed. Once the dinner was served, she chatted and laughed either four of her best friends, glad that everything was back to normal.
Across the Hall, Draco couldn't help but feel satisfied that Y/n was smiling again. He'd never say it aloud nor accept it.
But he knew he had to bite back the smile on his face. He never smiled and he hated that Y/n was making him.
Harry was in the middle of telling everyone how he freed Dobby, the house elf that worked in Malfoy Manor when the doors of the Great Hall opened and Hagrid stepped in.
" Sorry, I'm late. The owl was lost and confusing. Ratty owl named Errol. "
Ron turned the same shade as his hair and Y/n giggled.
