One day when you both were 14, he made a conversation with you. It was the first time he spoke first after 7 years of knowing each other.
"Hey Y/n." he spoke up for once.
"Yes Kiyoomi." you spoke excited.
"Can you make me a promise." he said as he made eye contact with you.
You felt flustered since this hasn't happened in the years you've known one another.
"Yes." you quickly spoke up to him.
"We've been friends for so long, thank you for putting up with me,"
"It's no problem!"
"Let me finish, what I want our promise to be is.." he said nervously.
"Let's promise to not let love destroy us!" he spoke loudly.
Your eyes shot wide open, you felt loved for once.
"I promise!" you replied with tears in your eyes.
He smiled at you and you smiled back.
"Maybe in the future, we can be together Y/N" he said as he got on the swing. His feet finally reached the floor so he didn't have to swing his feet back and forth.
