"I'm Vanessa, your mom."

Andy was frozen. Her eyes stared right into the woman in front of her, unmoving and unspeaking. Her six year old mind didn't remember much, but this woman did not look like the woman she remembered. The woman she remembered was skin and bones. Her hair was falling out of her head and her teeth weren't white, but yellow and rotten. Andy stared at this woman like she was an imposter.

"My mother?"

"Yes your mother. I know I probably don't look like you remember me. I got clean. About a year after I lost you I went to rehab. I met my husband there too." She smiled. Andy took this time to take in the rest of her. Her outfit looked expensive. The diamonds in her ears and the Louie Vatton bag added onto the affect.

Andy wanted to ask a million questions, but she couldn't. In that moment Aisha and Miguel came running out to tell her the meet was starting.

"I-I have to go." Andy stuttered, still dumbfounded.

"Yes go. Make me proud." The woman smiled. "I'll be in the audience. I hope we can talk soon."

Vanessa walked away, leaving Andy dumbfounded. She stared after her. She almost felt like crying again.

"You okay?" Glancing over, Andy saw Miguel.

"Yeah..."

"Who was that?"

"Vanessa..."

Miguel didn't ask for a further explanation. He instead grabbed her arm and led her towards their Sensei.

Andy wanted badly to talk to her dad, but now wasn't the time. Her father lined them up, and as soon as they were about to be announced, Johnny led them out with a chant of "Cobra Kai."

Everyone's eyes were on them. Andy beamed at the attention they deserved.

"Now that's what I call an entrance!" The announcer yelled. "And a badass name for a dojo! Let's hear it for Cobra Kai!"

The crowd clapped happily, and through it all Andy heard Moon cheering for Hawk. A frown covered her face. Glancing over, Andy searched the crowd. Her eyes eventually met Vanessa's, who grinned and waved. She unfortunately had to sit next to Carmen and Rosa.

"Go Miguel! Go Andrea!" Rosa shouted. Andy smiled softly at the sight. Carmen sent her a wave and blew a motherly kiss.

"And finally fighting unaffiliated from North Hills, we have Mr Robby Keene." Andy has never looked over so fast in her life. True enough, her brother came running out by himself. The two connected eyes as he passed, but he only gave a wink and a smile.

"Alright Folks. Get ready. It's karate time."

While everyone was preparing for the first match, Andy walked over to Robby.

"What are you doing here? Fighting alone?" She looked at him like he was dumb.

"I thought you were mad at me." He smirked.

"I am, trust me. But these past couple days have been terrible. I don't need you getting hurt!" Andy exclaimed.

"I'll be okay." He reassured.

"Please, Rob. Don't do this."

"It's too late. I'm already here. You should go watch Miguel, he's first up." Robby pointed towards Miguel who was preparing for a fight.

"We'll talk later." He nodded in response.

"Face me. Bow." Both did as told.

"COME ON DIAZ!" Andy screamed encouragement.

"Face each other. Bow. Ready?" Miguel got into position, and Andy couldn't help but smirk. "And fight!"

One kick was all it took. The man was on the ground and Miguel had won the round. Andy screamed in joy.

A few rounds later, after Aisha and Hawk, it was Andy's turn. The man she was fighting was around 6 inches taller than her, and easily had 30 pounds on her. She would have to use her smallness to her advantage.

After the beginning of the fight was announced, Andy wasted no time in swinging a punch. The kid dodged it and went to sweep Andy's feet if she hadn't jumped and kicked him right in the head.

That was her point. Over the screams of the crowd, she somehow found that Demetri's were the loudest. Andy smiled at the sound of her friend.

The next match was Miguel, who took him out with two kicks. Andy couldn't help but admire how hot he looked. Next was Robby, who Andy watched in fear but he won. Then Aisha, who won the first round and lost the last. Andy decided to let her cool off.

Then it was Andy's turn. This man was skinnier, lighter. That meant he was easier to bruise. He was flexible though, and fast. Although it Andy swiping his feet and punching him in the chest to win.

"There can only be one true winner, and he-or she-is standing on this stage right now. Will it be Miguel Diaz from Cobra Kai Karate?" The crowd went nuts, especially Rosa. "Will it be Hawk...well I guess it's just Hawk, from Cobra Kai Karate?" The crowd yelled again. "Will it be Andrea Lawrence, from Cobra Kai Karate?" Andy watched Her mother stand, screaming and jumping about. Rosa did the same, ignoring the woman giving her an odd look. "Will it be Robby Keene, unaffiliated?" The crowd clapped. "And last but certainly not least, last years champion, fighting out of topanga karate, Xander Stone!"

Xander decided to do a whole bunch of kicks and flips to show off. Andy looked at him like he was stupid. When he finished, he looked at the girl and winked. Miguel's whole body tensed as he crossed his arms.

Xander then grabbed the mic from the man. "I just wanted to say, even though I love to fight, we all need to fight together against hatred."

"Oh my god." Andy mumbled in annoyance.

"No kidding." Hawk mumbled. Andy toned out the speech he gave until they were all forced to put their heads down in a moment of silence.

"Kick that pansy bitch in the face." Johnny whispered to his two best students.

"Yes sensei." Miguel and Andy held in their laugh. The announcer then took the mic back, announcing the first match of Stone and Lawrence.

"You got this Andy!" Miguel yelled as he walked off the mat.

"Come on kid!" Johnny yelled. Andy took a deep breath, eyeing the kid in front of her.

The fight was announced and for a minute it was just running around. He would swing and she would block, she would swing and he would block. After a long while, Andy got bored and grabbed his leg as he kicked, swinging her feet and taking him to the floor. That announced Andy's point.

Eventually the match was 2-2 and Andy only needed one point to win. This kid was obviously getting serious with it, doing kicks and flips and trying to hit Andy. But suddenly she was distracted.

A man and a little girl had gone to join Vanessa, who gave the man a kiss and pulled the girl into a hug.

This gave Xander the advantage he needed, landing a kick to her stomach and announcing his point, and the win.

Miguel was at her side in seconds.

"I'm fine." She mumbled, allowing him to help her stand.

"Nice fight." She glanced up at Xander. "Next time, tone everyone out, nobody else matters but your opponent." He held out his hand for a handshake. She shook his hand with a nod.

Next up was Miguel and Xander, who promised to kick him in the chest for her. She watched on the slide lines as he fought. Xander was good, but Miguel was fast. He caught him off guard, kicking him in the side and getting the win. Luckily Xander was a good sport about it, unlike his mother.

And then, Hawk and Robby. This is the one Andy was afraid for. She knew Robby had heard what Hawk had done to her and knew he would go rough on him.

Hawk hopped on the mat, ready for a fight. Andy reached over and grabbed Miguel's hand without thinking, breathing heavily. The boy ran his thumb across her knuckles to calm her down.

"Prepare to face the fury of the Hawk." He smirked.

"Any time you feel pain in this match, know it's vengeance for Andy." Robby said in return, looking towards his sister and winking. Andy smiled softly at the man. Hawk scrunched his eyebrows in confusion.

"Did he just-do you two know each other?" Johnny turned towards his daughter. Andy pierced her lips. She wasn't suppose to know about Robby.

"Long story." Andy answered, not looking at him.

Andy didn't know if it was a good thing or bad thing when Hawk won round one. She didn't even know who she was suppose to be rooting for. She chose her brother, as she was still heavily upset with Hawk.

"REMEMBER WHAT YOU LEARNED ROBBY!" Andy was pissed when LaRusso yelled, and wanted nothing more than to smash his face in.

The second round Robby got the point. After the two angrily made comments at each other, Hawk made a stupid decision. He kicked Robby right in the shoulder outside of a match.

"Robby-" Andy ran off before she could stop herself. Johnny followed.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Get the hell away from me." Robby yelled.

"Back on your side." The referee tried to shove them both back.

"I'm his sister please." Because she was already out, he let her stay. But he did force Johnny back. He then screamed at Hawk for his stupidity. Andy helped him up, not noticing the look both Hawk and Miguel were giving her. Because Hawk was disqualified, Robby won and went to the finals.

"Glad I won. He's a douchebag." Robby mumbled. "Can't believe you dated him."

"Yeah me neither." Andy smiled tightly. The staff unfortunately wouldn't allow her back to the locker rooms, and she was forced back to Cobra Kai's side.

"Me and you will talk later." Johnny was furious.

"What was that about?" Miguel whispered.

"Do me a favor, don't use his shoulder against him. I'm not saying show mercy, I'm saying don't take the pussy way out." Andy mumbled, walking away from him. Unfortunately, Miguel saw Sam in that moment.

"You okay?" Andy looked and saw Aisha.

"Not really..."

"What happened that distracted you?" Aisha then asked.

"...Aisha, my mom is here." Andy looked at her friend.

"Wait what? Your mom?" She looked shocked.

"Yeah, her name is Vanessa and she has a husband and a little girl..." she mumbled, tears gathering. "I don't know how to feel."

"It's okay. You're okay. I get it. This is stressful and you have every right to be upset. He just...caught you at the wrong moment. You totally would of won." Andy nodded but did not look like she believed it.

And then, it was time. The final match between Miguel and Robby. Andy's stomach bubbled in anxiety. She quickly ran over to Robby right before the match.

"Good luck." She gently hugged him. He gave her a one arm hug back.

"Yeah? Who you rooting for?" He smirked playfully.

"Don't know yet." She sighed, pulling away. "Try not to get too hurt."

"Promise." He nodded. "Now go, your boyfriend looks like he's gonna blow a gasket."

Andy turned back to Cobra Kai and saw Miguel looking away, tightening his jaw in anger. She sighed and walked over, wrapping her arms around his waist from behind.

"Don't be mad at me." She mumbled.

"How do you know him?" He asked in a pissed off tone. Andy didn't want him to know.

"It's hard to explain right now, Diaz. But you know you can trust me...you know that right?" A moment of silence before Miguel sighed and nodded, turning around.

"Of course I know that." He nodded.

"You're gonna do great." Andy put her hands on his arms. "Jesus what happened to the twig that couldn't do push-ups." He laughed at her remark, glancing down and seeing he did in fact have muscles.

"So who exactly are you cheering on?"

"Don't ask me that. If you win, I'll be happy for Cobra Kai. If he wins, I'll be happy for him. Don't ask me that, Diaz." He laughed at her playfully distressed look.

"Maybe this can change your mind." Andy gave him a confused look.

Until his head ducked down and he kissed her. For a second Andy forgot everything and enjoyed it. This wasn't a drunken kiss. He tasted like strawberry gum not beer. He did this out of his own will.

By the time the two pulled apart, it seemed everyone in the crowd was going nuts. Apparently a romance between two students was interesting. But out of everyone, Andy saw Rosa and Carmen on their feet dancing away. Then her eyes flickered to her mom, who was smiling softly at her. The man next to her waved happily.

"I think my Yiayia is gonna have a stroke." The two laughed at her and her crazy dance moves.

"Why did you do that?" He turned back to her with a gentle smile.

"Talk later, okay?" He pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead and approached the mat. Andy wondered over to Cobra Kai and the rest of its students.

"And what was that about?" Aisha smirked, nudging her friend.

"You're asking what I'm asking too."
