"In todays class, we will study the a Ageing Potion." Snape said clearly, walking through the classroom, dressed in his long black robes.

"A Ageing Potion haves as purpose, to make the drinker, temporarily older, and, the more potion you drank, the larger the ageing will occur." Snape said firmly, stopping at his desk with a cauldron on top of it, and a few more ingredients to demonstrate the potion.

"Now, I will only explain this once, so be very attentive to it..." He rolled up his sleeves carefully, and took his wand out of his pocket. "Can somebody tell me which ingredients, lay on my desk, use to concoct this specific brew?" Snape asked, his gaze looking between all the class.

Hermione raised her hand imediatly, asking for permission to speak up and answer, but Snape, not being quite a fan of Gryfindors, and besides, being the master of our house, ignored her like if her presence was unexistent.

I knew what ingredients were, my grades are quite neat, not as much as Hermione, she's the best of our class, but I was impeccable with my grades.

I was about to raised my hand in the air, but Snape's voice stopped me from doing so.

"Mr. Malfoy, would you like to answer my question?" Snape asked firmly, raising an eyebrown at Draco.

Draco was with his arms crossed in front of his chest, layed with his back on the chair, not even looking at Snape, clearly focused on his own thoughts, switching the quill between his fingers.

"Newt spleens, bananas, an orange snake and a green leaf." Draco answered firmly, not even looking at Snape, like if he was one hundred por cent sure about his answer.

He was right, those were indeed the main ingredients to brew an Ageing Potion, I've never cared before but, Draco is actually a boy with really good grades, almost as good as Hermione, better than me actually.

"Correct. Thank you Mr. Malfoy..." Snape said and then focusing on his cauldron. "All of you, write that down at once." He said firmly.

Hermione rolled her eyes in frustration for not being the one answering Snape's question, and lowered her hand, sitting properly on her chair.

I took my quill, and wrote the ingredients down, even already knowing all of this, but while doing so, my gaze focused itself on Draco.

He wasn't writing, he was clearly bored, as playing with his quill between his fingers, swinging his chair back and forth with the help of his foot, sat in the middle of Crabbe and Goyle.

He must have noticed me staring at him, because he drove his attention on his quill, directly at me, locking his gaze with mine.

He didn't made any expression, and neither did I, we both just stared at each other from across the room, none of us wanting to break eye contact.

His eyes were so beautiful, the grey made me remember of beautiful shining diamonds, looking at me, not some type of eyes I would thought a person like people say Draco is, to have such astonishing eyes, that made me feel comfortable while staring at them.

"Lara?" I heard a soft voice on my side call me, but ignored it.

His, platinum blonde hair perfectly divided in the middle, falling until hitting his eyebrowns.

"Hey?" Charlotte hit my elbows slightly, catching my attention, which made me broke my eye contact with Draco, and turning to the girl sat on my left. "What are you doing, Snape started brewing the damn potion minutes ago, and you aren't listening?!" She said quietly in my ear, but with a hint of pure surprise in her tone.

"Oh, sorry I was just...distracted." I said as an excuse, I don't know if Charlotte noticed me looking at Draco, or for how long we were staring at each other, but, I gotta admit, there's something in Draco that still intrigues me, he's like a mystery box, that have to be opened very carefully and slowly.

"Lara Blackwell distracted, now that's a new one." She said not looking at me but at Snape, writing down everything he was spelling.

I did the same but not before looking at Draco one last time, he wasn't looking at me anymore, he was now with a hand supporting his weight of the face, and the other one, was writing everything down.

{☆~☆}

In the afternoon, me and Matthew went to the library together, study there for a few hours like we usually like to do.

Once again, Charlotte was nowhere to be seen, disappearing again, lefting me alone, therefore I was with Matthew.

They are both my bestfriends, however, quite interesting how none of them as talked that much, usually when I hang out with Matthew it's because Charlotte is busy with something else, or vice-versa.

"So tell me, how's your little...Malfoy impossible mission?" Matthew asked amusingly, while peacefully reading a book, sat in front of me, with one of his elbows supporting the weight of bodie.

"Actually really good, thanks for the concerning...means a lot." I said sarcastically, sending him a fake smile on my lips, which he received with a laugh.

"Well, after you realize by yourself that Malfoy is a lost cause, which probably will be soon, please you can tell me so I can enjoy being right...like I always am." He said teasingly, locking his gaze with mine.

I rolled my eyes at his sentence."Don't worry, I will let you know." I said sarcastically.

"Quick question, have you been like, talking with him?" He asked softly, eying me carefully, from the corner of his eye. "Or do you just watch him carefully from behind like a creepy stalker." A smirk found it's way towards his lips.

"Well, that's not really of your concerning, is it?" I raised an eyebrow, locking my gaze with his.

"I was just curious." He said softly, focusing his gaze on the page he was currently reading, and I did the same.

I was reading a book about Potions, focusing on the theme of Ageing Potions, as I lost my concentration today in class, not usual from me being that carelessly which was odd.

While reading on how to brew it, I wrote everything down in with my quill on my appointments, as the next class we were to brew it ourselves, I had to be prepared.

"Well, it's getting late, I should probably got to sleep, before it's past curfew..." Matthew said, closing his book, and putting it back in the shelve along with a few others also on the top of our table, with a flick from his wand, making them float till there. "...You coming?" He asked softly, taking his hair off his eyes with his hand.

"Go without me, I still gotta read this a few more times." I said not taking my eyes off my book.

"Okay...but why are you writing everything down?" He asked, tilting his head to read my appointments.

"Because, I kinda get distracted in today's class and, got lost, so now I gotta do, extra research on my own." I said firmly, looking between forth my quill and my book, I was holding with one hand.

"You got distracted in a class?! You?!" Matthew said unbelievabin his own words. "That's not possible, am I in a parallel universe or something?" He asked sarcastically, making me release a sigh of annoyance, and unfocusing on my reading to look at him.

"Yes, I got distracted, so would you please let me finish this without interrupting me." I said firmly, locking my gaze with his.

"Alright, I say no more." He said, making a surprise face and standing up, leaving the library.

I read a few more times, until my head was already spinning around for reading the same small letters over and over again, so I closed it, placing it back in the shelve with the help of my wand, and rubbed my eyes, before slowly stading up, and gathering my stuff to leave the library.

I didn't know what time was, I just knew it was already the nightfall, so, before I got to my dorm to place my things there, I went straight to the Astronomy Tower.

As I climbed the stairs all the way up, I found Draco, already sat there, looking at the sky, I didn't thought he noticed me until he spoke to me without even looking back.

"I was beginning to thinking you wouldn't come here tonight." He said coldly. "But you did, looks like the luck is not on my side today." He said firmly, still not looking at me, but at the sky.

"Well, would you care if I wouldn't come?" I asked smiling, taking my bag off my shoulder, and sat besides him, on where I usually sit, placing my bag on my side.

"Not at all, I actually would appreciate it, not having to hear your annoying questions, would be a relief on my soul." He said smirking, and then, finally looking at me, catching the wide smile on my lips.

"I'm a curious woman." I said softly, looking at the sky, watching the thousands little shining, white pots on it.

"Yeah, I have noticed that." He said coldly. "Anyways, what's your question for today." He asked, focusing his gaze on the sky again.

I wasn't expecting this from him, not at all, I was surprised by his, slight interest on my question, not showing so much annoyance like usual, not that I was bothered about it, I appreciated the fact of him being more talkative.

"What are your goals for the future?" I asked softly, smiling at the view reflecting on my eyes.

"I don't really have any goals..." He said vaguely.

"What do you mean? Everybody have some ambition in their lives, specially a slytherin like us." I said, driving my gaze at him, still smiling.

"Well, it's not like I really have a choice, my father prepared me my whole life to be the next Master of my Manor, it's almost like a tradition at this point." He said coldly, not making eye contact with me.

"So wait you don't have any wish, anything, you just do what your father says." I asked, furrowing my eyebrowns together.

"No, actually...I've dreamed in living in a house, not really big, with three or four kids, my wife, far from everything and everyone, just us." He said coldly, still not taking his eyes off the sky.

"But why don't you say that do your dad, it's your life not his." He gives a sarcastic laugh at my sentence, finally locking his gaze with mine.

"I'm the only heir of the Malfoy family, I'm supposed to being in the command of everything when I marry, it is what my fate is." He said firmly, like if he was already used to that future, but clearly not in agreement with it.

"I don't believe in fate, I believe in us writing our stories." I said softly, giving him a thin smile.

"Yeah, whatever, fate or not, my life is already written...anyways, what about you? Do you, have any ambitious?" He asked coldly, driving his gaze at the sky again.

"I guess the same as you, have kids, a house, a husband, and on the top of everything, be happy." I said softly, slowly looking at the sky as well.

"So basically, you want a fairy tale." He said amusingly, smirking when I looked at him, furrowing my eyebrowns.

"Why do you say that?" I asked firmly.

"Oh, Blackwell, you're too naive to understand." He said amusingly, hitting my nerve.

"Naive?! Well at least my father isn't putting pressure on me to heir our family generation." I said abruptly, but quickly regret every single word, realizing how rude and cruel that sounded.

I saw the grin of his face vanishing, and his cold mask being putting on again, just like our first day here, and I knew at this moment I screwed up.

He had told me something, that probably he has never told to anyone before, and I used that in a way against him, making me feel terrible guilty.

"Draco I-" He cut me off by standing up abruptly, without looking at me.

"I gotta go, getting late." He said quickly and firmly, and started climbing the stairs down fastly.

"No wait Draco!" He ignored me, and I quickly stood up, following him the faster I could, the needing to apologize myself taking over my body.

I climbed the stairs all the way down, following the heavy sound of his footsteps, not wanting to lose him in the hallways.

As soon as I saw him, turning into a corner, I imediatly rushed towards him.

"Draco wait please-" He turned abruptly around, facing me, cutting me off.

"Don't call me that, you have no right to call me by my name, asides from what you may think we're not friends, and we'll never be." He said angrily, his expressions making it seems he meant every word of it.

"Dra- Malfoy I'm really sorry, I didn't meant to-" Once again, he cut me off.

"Shhh!" He said firmly, driving his gaze of me.

"What?" I furrowed my eyebrowns, trying to figure out what was happening.

"Shut up." He said firmly, focusing all his attention to behind us. "Someone is coming, quickly, come here." He pulled me by my hand, pulling us both into a corner of the hallway.

The corner was too small for both of our bodies not touch together, I could feel his hot and heavy breath on my face, and I looked up, tilting my chin up due to him being taller than me, to stare at his eyes who were searching through the hallway.

The footsteps slowly started to disappear from our ears, making us realized however it was, it must be far way from now, turning into an opposite direction from where we were.

I only noticed his hands, gently grabbing my arms to hold me still, after he removed them, and turned around, his cold and cruel mask on, the same he wears everyday during classes, and only removing it when he was alone.

I was probably the only person, who peeked through Draco's hard mask, only for a split second, until I stepped way over the line, making him locks himself in his cage again, and making all of our conversations useless by now.

He walked away from me, without even looking at me, and vanishing in the darkness of the hallways, leaving me there alone, filled with guilty and regret.
