Finally, after a week, all of my dresses had arrived. I had to wear each of them, just to make sure that it fit me perfectly. I was currently wearing the last dress that was Slytherin green, it was a little loose on the side, so that needed to get altered.
"Yeah, Nina, see, here" I said pointing at the sides of my chest, "it needs to be a little tighter, like the other dresses. And here" I continued and pointed at my waist, "I don't think this needs to be that tight"
"Alright, I've marked the changes. I'll have the costume designer on it" Nina said as I changed back to school clothes. We had to film the scene where the head of the houses are teaching the students how to waltz.
"Hey, did you get the fitting done?" Tom asked as he sat down on the Gryffindor side of the hall. The Slytherins and the Gryffindors were doing the practice together. A few were in the middle already practicing, while I was getting my makeup done.
"Yeah, all of them are perfect except the Slytherin green. It needed a lot of fitting" I said making Tom nod. Rob and I were still dating, but due to the pressure of filming, we saw each other lesser and lesser. Luckily, now, for the Yule Ball, I was Cedric's date, so, I will see him more except the usual 'see you at home after work'
I was still deciding what to do. I couldn't just get up one day and say 'Hey, you know what? I think I'm in love with my best friend, who has absolutely no idea and probably doesn't even like me or see me more than a best friend, but I think we should see other people' I cannot just breakup with him like that - out of the blue, I have to think about our families, the business and everything.
Speaking of family, my phone should ring about now-
"Hey, Daddy!" I said when he FaceTimed me. He happily waved at the screen and said, "Oh, hey, pumpkin. Are you on set?"
"Yeah, we're going to start filming the Yule Ball scenes"
"That should be fun"
"Yeah, what about you? How are you? And mom? What's Julius doing? Richard? How about the business?"
"Calm down, calm down. We're all great and the business is going good as well. I called to ask- Hey, it's that Tom?" I turned my phone towards him and scooted a little closer, so that the both of us would fit in the screen. Tom put an arm around my waist, so that his arm wouldn't take up space and that the both of us would be visible.
"Hello, Y/F/N" Tom said waving to the camera.
"Hey, young man. You better be taking care of my little girl-"
"I'm not little anymore. I am 18, Daddy"
"No matter how old you grow, you're still going to be my little baby girl"
"I'm taking great care of your daughter. Though she can be a handful sometimes"
"Yeah, I know" Dad said making me roll my eyes while the both of them laughed.
"Y/N, I called to ask, did you apply to any college?"
"Yeah, I applied to University of Hertfordshire. I mean we're filming here, I live here and it's like half hour away. So, it'll be easy for me. I applied to few others as well, but I hope I get accepted in UH"
"Don't worry, I know you will" he said re-assuring me. I decided to continue my education, while Tom didn't. We were going to soon graduate from high school, we still had prom.
"What about the course?"
"Oh, erm, I took up, BA with International Business"
"That's great. You'll be a great help, when you come here. Do you want me to pay-" Tom tightened his grip when Dad said 'you come here'
"No, Daddy, I got it. Don't worry"
"Alright, let's take positions" Mike shouted and I turned back to the phone. "Alright, Daddy. I'll see you soon, I have to go now. Love you, bye" I hung up and hurriedly took my position. I was sitting next to Emma with Harry and the boys behind us.
Olivia's POV
We were practicing with Slytherins, while Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff were together. Mr. Filch was adjusting the instrument while Professor McGonagall and Professor Snape were talking to each other. Gryffindor was on the left side of the room, while Slytherin on the right.
"Silence!" Snape said in his cold tone.
"The Yule Ball has been a tradition of The Triwizard Tournament since its inception" McGonagall said coming to the center of the room.
"On Christmas Eve Night, we and our guests, gather in the Great Hall for a night of well-mannered frivolity" Snape said taking a place by McGonagall's side.
"As representatives of the host schools, I expect each and everyone of you to put your best foot forward" McGonagall said walking over to the Gryffindor side.
"And we mean this literally, because The Yule Ball is, first and foremost... a dance" Snape said as all the boys groaned and slumped back in their seats while all the girls started chattering about boys and dresses.
"Quiet!" he said again. "Now I would like to make one thing abundantly clear, this is a complete and utter waste of time" he completed and McGonagall cleared her throat.
"We will not have you, in the course of single evening, besmirching the name of your house and our school by behaving like babbling, bumbling band of baboons" she said sternly.
"Say that five times fast, Fred" George said from behind me.

"Shh" I said as McGonagall came to Ron's side and Snape went to Pansy' s side.
"Mr. Weasley" she said while Snape asked Pansy to stand up.
"Will you join me?" she asked as Ron reluctantly stood up, so did Pansy.
"Thank you, Pansy" Snape said and they both came to the center of the room.
"Now ladies, at some point of the night you will be approached by these dumb boys, to which HE should have etiquette" he bowed his head lightly in front of Pansy and Ron copied him.
"Now, we will accept" McGonagall said as they took the hand of the male.
"Hand on my waist, Mr. Weasley" she said as she put a hand on his shoulder. Draco and his goons snickered.
"I swear... if I hear a SINGLE snicker, Mr. Malfoy, your father will not hear from you for a long time" he said to which I snickered and he said, "Let's begin"
"One, two, three" McGonagall said as they begin to dance and showed us the steps.
"Now, all the girls please take position, while the boys will magically find you and will forcefully stand up" Snape said and at a flick of his wand all the boys stood up and scattered around the room, finding their dance partners. All the Gryffindor girls were with Slytherin boys and the Gryffindor boys with Slytherin girls.
"Cut! Let's take it again" Mike said as we all took our positions once again. Since, we weren't actually speaking, there were a lot of less takes. Though, Mike made us take 5 more, we all stood up and waited for the practice to begin.
"And... Action!" The camera zoomed in on my face and I started to look around for my partner.
Olivia's POV
"Thinking that I wouldn't be your partner, Middleton?" Draco said from behind me while taking his position in front of me. I mumbled "Shit" under my breath. "Not getting rid of me so easily" he said smirking.
"Now, positions" McGonagall shouted.
We straightened our posture. Draco, no matter the bully, is a perfect gentleman. He offered his hand to me and bowed down, I took his hand and he pulled me closer, making me gasp a little. He placed a hand on my waist and I placed my hand on his shoulder, not breaking the eye contact.
The music started and he took the lead. We started with the basic box step, ignoring all the groans and chatter around us. As we began dancing the whole room stopped and stared at us, while we had our eyes locked at each other. Him looking down and me looking up, with the obvious height difference.
Since, the both of us looked at each other, we tried so hard not to laugh. We were doing a step, where Tom had to twirl me around and pull me back to him, so after twirling me around, Tom pulled me in but I accidently stepped on his shoes and made us both stumble to the ground, him on top of me. We looked at each other, groaned and started laughing.
"Cut!" Mike shouted and Emma and the others rushed to us for helping us up. "Are you both okay?" Mike asked while we straightened out some creases. "Yeah, everything's okay, no worries"
"Alright, then let's take it from the top again. Positions! Scene 67, take 2... Action!" We did the scene from the beginning and didn't stumble again.
We then did a few more steps, him twirling me around, going at distance, coming back, every step, without breaking eye contact. At the last part of the music, Draco twirled me for a few more spins and then he ended the dance with a dip, still looking in my eyes.
We broke eye contact and snapped out of our own little world when everyone in the room started clapping. He helped me up and we stood smiling, with his hand still on my waist.
"Say, Middleton, will you do me the honor of going to the ball with me?" he asked looking at me. I took a deep breath in, not wanting to turn him down, since he saved me from the intruder, and said, "I'll think about it, Malfoy"
"You two are exceptionally good. How do you know how to waltz?" McGonagall asked coming over to us.
"I took classes" I said smiling at her.
"And my mother organizes formal balls all the time, so I picked up a thing or two" he said politely.
"Well, good for you, but bad for us, because you two aren't one of Hogwarts' champion and worse for us if you two go together and look this good while dancing and the champions don't" McGonagall said shaking her head.
"And cut, I think we can do better, Y/N, try to..." Mike continued to direct us for the next take. After taking 7 more takes of our dance, we aced it.

Tom's POV
'Tom never lies to me' 'We're just best friends, nothing's ever going to happen between us' These words keep ringing in my head since she told. The time Y/N told this, I was shattered. I tried to brush it off and maintain the best relation I have with her, but it keeps getting difficult day-by-day. When I see her happy with Robert, it hurts me, I know I shouldn't, I should feel happy for her, but I can't help it.
She walked over to me, smiling widely. She was currently in a black ballgown, they decided that she would film all her scenes that needed the black dress. The cameraman was behind us taking all the bloopers and behind the scenes. I complimented Y/N, she looked really beautiful. I could see the crimson color on her cheeks.

She's currently dancing with Rob, practicing her performance, the cameraman is next to me, filming them. Since her Slytherin green dress needed some fitting, our scenes got pushed back. We were still going to do it today. He twirled her around, pulled her closer to him and kissed her.
"Oh, look at that.. look at that. Lucky man! Lucky man" I said quickly, so that no one could see that I was hurt. I was walking around when Y/N came to me. "Don't you look dashing" she said fixing my collar. I placed my hands on her waist, making her smile, "You look really beautiful, though I would love to see you in Slytherin colors"
"Nina just informed me that the dress will be ready in an hour, so I guess then we will have to dance" she said nervously. Dancing in school clothes with shoes and everything was easy, but now, with a huge ballgown and heels, I knew she was nervous.
"So, Y/N, how are you feeling?" the cameraman asked as he came next to us. We looked at him, my arm still on Y/N's waist, "Really? Very nervous. With the huge ballgown, I couldn't even walk properly. When I made my entrance in the first take, I actually tripped a few stairs, luckily, Rob was there, holding my hand..." I tightened my grip on her waist, when she mentioned him and I'm sure she took notice.
"What about you, Tom?"
"Well, it is something, the set is just beautiful, it's something I have never seen, it's just amazing. Plus, everyone is really enjoying or can I say, very nervous to dance as well. I'm very nervous to dance my number with Y/N. As she mentioned..." I looked at her, she was already looking at me, "...with the ballgown, there are just, some steps that will need caution, plus, we have to look like there is no care in the world, so yeah, it's difficult. But I can say, with Y/N, in my arms, it won't seem that difficult"
"Y/N!" Robert called her and she teared her gaze away from me and behind us. She nodded to her and the cameraman went to them, while Emma came to me. "You look beautiful, Emma" I said sweetly.
"Thank you, Tom. You don't look bad yourself" she said making us chuckle. We made small talk for a while and the cameraman came back to us. "And I will bow my hand" I said looking at Emma and back at the camera.
"And I'll come over to the dark side" Emma joked taking my hand. After filming a few scenes, all of Y/N's scenes were done, just ours were left and a few others, where Y/N and I were supposed to slow dance in the background. Her dress had arrived, so she was changing and I was roaming around about the set.
"So, Tom, now you'll have to dance, in front of everyone, did you get enough practice?" the cameraman asked making me turn around.
"Yeah, man. I've been doing my steps. I've been working my feet. You've seen my feet work" I said moving my feet a little. Y/N came towards us, fixing her earring. She really did look great in Slytherin colors.
"Let's go, Tom" she said holding my arm. I smiled at her, turning back to the camera, I said, "Doesn't she look beautiful?" She blushed furiously making us grin.
"Let's get into positions. Roll, camera... And action!" Mike shouted and we started acting. I pulled Y/N's hand and pulled her close to me. We were both nervous, you could see it.
Olivia's POV
The music started and I looked around us.
"Everyone is staring at you" I whispered to Draco, since no one was dancing and everyone was gawking at us, the only sound around us was of the music.
"Believe me darling, they're staring at you" he said whispering too making me blush.
Y/N and I eased into the dance as we had already practiced it. I thought dancing with a huge ballgown would be difficult, considering the steps, but with Y/N, it was kinda easy. We did actually forget about everyone else beside us, watching us. Y/N and I were staring at each other for real.
For the rest of the dance, we didn't break eye contact, just like we didn't the other day. At few steps I heard him chuckle and it was the absolute best thing.
"Jump!" he ordered. He picked me up and spun around with me, while my hands stayed on his shoulders and my eyes looking down at him. He was smiling with his teeth, I never noticed him smiling genuinely. He showed his perfect white teeth when he smiled, with a slight hint of dimples. He ended the dance with a dip and the hall roared with applause and whistles. "That completes part one of your wish one, Malfoy" I said and I went back to Cedric.
"And, cut! Perfect scene! Great work, Y/N and Tom. It felt very real. Get ready for the slow dance" Mike praised and we took our positions. For this scene, Y/N and I had to dance really close, I had to place my hands on her hips, while hers would be either around my neck or on my chest. The song by Paul Anka - 'Put your head on my shoulder' which she sang started playing. Y/N and I locked our eyes and started moving to the song, slowly.
Olivia's POV
Draco's hands were nowhere near my waist, but on my hips. I looked up at him and he smirked. I shook my head lightly and placed my hands on his chest. The song started and we stared at each other.

I rested my head on his chest, but closer to his shoulder, as I was wearing heels, when he 'squeezed me oh-so-tight' and laughed lightly. My hands went around his neck and I looked up.

I was looking up at Draco and he raised his eyebrows listening to the lyrics of the song, asking for a kiss. I shook my head.

He shrugged gesturing that maybe him and I could fall in love.
"Did I tell you that you look amazing, darling?" he said moving slowly to the song.
"Quite a few times" I said smiling.
"Slytherin green suits you more than Gryffindor red" he said looking down at me.
"Thank you, Draco. Since you are a Slytherin, I'm sure you're bound to say that" I replied as I fixed his bow tie mid-dance. He smirked a little as I fixed his bow-tie. His arms went around my waist, like he was hugging me. He tightened his grip around my waist making me look up to his eyes.
It felt so good to hold Y/N so close to me, so close to my heart. I could see, she liked it as well. Her eyes met mine and I placed a kiss on her forehead. This wasn't scripted but I decided to do it anyways. Her grip on my shoulders tightened as I kissed her forehead.
"So, I don't see your date anywhere" I said placing my hands back on his chest again.
"Right now, who cares? I'm dancing with the prettiest girl at the ball" he said shrugging.
I closed my eyes as I pulled her closer and rested my head on hers, none of what I was doing was scripted, but right now, with Y/N in my arms, it didn't matter, plus, Mike seemed to like it, because he didn't tell us to stop. She sighed loudly and placed a soft kiss on my chest, which of course, wasn't scripted.

"You know, this voice sounds too familiar. I just can't place it" he said and I knew he was joking.
"Oh, yeah. Erm, I heard Dumbledore gave this Olivia Middleton girl to sing something, so she recorded few songs and they are playing it now" I said as he twirled me around and pulled me closer than before. He chuckled and we continued dancing.

"Indeed, it is. I wish I could've asked for something more. Hmm, maybe I still can" he said pretending to think. "Maybe what the song was asking. A kiss?" he asked smirking.
I kissed him on his cheeks, which seemed to be more than enough for him.
When she was about to kiss me on my cheeks, Mike shouted "Cut!" and I moved my face a little, so she kissed me on the lips, accidently. The both of us blushed.
"Let's take the last part again" Mike continued and we took our positions.
