The next day, I was on set with Emma talking about our scene. Everyone had noticed that Tom wasn't talking to me. "Yeah, so, you know, you could say it, like-" Emma stopped when she saw Tom standing in front of us. I looked at her and followed her gaze.
"Did you want something?" I asked bitterly. If he was going to be like that, I was too. He looked at Emma and then back at me, "They want us in the Great Hall set, for the dance lessons"
"Dance lessons?" Emma asked furrowing her eyebrows. "Those weren't scheduled for three weeks" she added and I got up.
"Not us" Tom said when I got up. I looked back at Emma but she was already gone. "Why not us?"
"We have to do our scene first and then join the others or have the dancing lessons separately" Tom said before walking off. I sighed and went over my script, while Tom sat down on his chair, scrolling through his phone.
"Alright, positions!" the assistant director shouted. Tom laid down on the bed with a book, while I stood away with some clothes in my hands along with two or three books.
"And... Action!" she shouted again.
Draco's POV
"It's already 3:50 and you're still not completely packed" I said as she was running around the room with clothes and books.
"Yeah, if you would've helped me, I would've been ready on time" she said hitting me with a pillow.
"Ask me nicely then" I said keeping the book aside.
"Alright, Draco, will you pleeeeeaseeeee help me pack?" she asked while putting both of her hands on the bed, partially bending. She wore a loose t-shirt; I could see her chest through the shirt. I tried so hard to not let my gaze fall down, but it did and she noticed.
I was wearing a loose t-shirt for this scene with a black lacy bra underneath. I saw Tom bite his lip a little, he got lucky as the camera faced me.
"Sorry" I mumbled quickly before clearing my throat.
"Draco, you don't need to walk on eggshells around me, go back to that flirtatious bully phase of yours" she said standing up and placing a few items in her bag. I sighed and got up and picked her lingerie from her drawer in my hands and went over to her and said, "Here"
She looked at me wide eyed, turned red and said shyly, "Where did you find those?" and shoved them into her bag. I laughed out loud. She playfully hit me in the stomach.
"Scene! But let's do it again. Take it from the top and then we will continue the scene outside the house" she said looking up from the screen.
We completed the scene quickly and headed for the next one. I had to kiss Tom in this one. Lucky for me, Rob was not there, so I didn't have to worry about him getting annoyed at me.
"Okay, now Y/N, in this scene, Tom's going to act awkward and you'll..." she started directing and I zoned her out when I saw Rob approach towards us. Why does he drop by times like these?
"Alright, give me 5, we'll arrange a few things" she said and went back to check on the arrangements. I smiled at Rob and he hugged me, "You act like you didn't come here with me" I said pulling away.
"What? I missed you" he said kissing my head. Everyone on the set knew about us. I didn't need to worry, since all of them have to sign a non-disclosure agreement - 'What happens on the set, stays on set'
"So, what scene do you have now?" the cameraman asked us. We had a man for filming all behind the scenes, bloopers and edits like that, so that we could watch it after the premiere and reminisce our moments together.
"Well..." I said and looked at Rob, who had a proud smile on his face, "We're going to do the farewell scene before I leave for the Weasley's"
"Uh-huh, this is the second kiss that Tom and you are going to share on screen, isn't it?" he asked as Rob took his arm off of my shoulder.
"For this movie? Yeah, it's the second and last one" I said taking Rob's hand, reminding him that I will not have to kiss Tom anymore. He smiled with a sigh. The guy left and I looked at Rob.
"Look, don't get mad-" I said but he cut me off with a kiss. I sighed and pulled the collar of the school shirt he was wearing.
"I'm not, baby" he said wrapping his arms around me. "Did you learn how to ride a bike?" he asked as the assistant director called me up.
"No, not yet. I still have to learn that, ice skating and the waltz" I said and kissed his cheek hastily and went for my scene. Tom and I stood in front of each other. Before he saw me, he looked angry but the minute he saw me, his eyes softened. He gave me a small smile. I smiled back thinking that he'll go back to normal.
"Action!"
Draco's POV
We finished packing and went downstairs. We were standing outside her house.
"Alright, Middleton. See you soon" I said awkwardly, I was always bad at goodbyes.
"Come here, you, big oaf" she said and pulled me into a hug, she was short in compared to me, so I picked her up and didn't pull away. Her head rested on the crook of my neck and mine on her shoulders. We both sighed loudly, knowing that we won't be able to be like this at Hogwarts.
I really sighed with content, when I rested my head on his shoulders but snuggled a little closer to his neck. He tightened the hug before putting me down.
I let her down, but she still didn't pull away.
"Thank you, so much, Draco. I-I don't know what I would've done, if you didn't come to rescue me. No matter how much I thank you, it'll never be enough" she said and pulled away.
Okay... Breathe... It's just a kiss, like the others, just finish it in one take.
She pulled my face down and placed a huge kiss on my lips. I smiled into the kiss. My hands went around her waist and I picked her up again, not pulling away. Her lips felt soft, even though she ate so much chocolate, she tasted like strawberries. She pulled away and smiled. I blushed and left.
I felt content when his lips met with mine. The type, I didn't feel with Rob. When he picked me up, I tightened my grip on his cheeks, and he replied by tightening his grip, just like he had been trying to talk to me, whenever we did scenes. I folded my right leg, when he picked me up, which wasn't in script. We pulled away and smiled at each other. For real.
"Cut!" she shouted and I grabbed Tom's hand and pulled him out before he could ignore me.
"Now, do you want to tell me why you're ignoring me? It seems like it's clear that you want to talk to me, because your grips, or hugs just keep getting tighter. So, do you mind telling me?" I said folding my hands over my chest.
"I don't know what you're talking about" Tom said rolling his eyes and leaving for the Great Hall. "Hey, let's go to the Great Hall set" Rob said putting an arm around my shoulder, acting like nothing happened.
When we reached, people were already dancing, Emma was dancing with Alfred a little, Daniel was nowhere to be seen, Rupert was with Maggie, the new actors were also there for the practice, Tom was standing at the side, watching everyone intently.
"Ah, Y/N" Mike said as he walked over to me and Rob went to the choreographer. I looked at Mike and smiled. "So, now, let everyone do their thing, your main focus is Tom, I mean, Draco. You guys have to perfect it, I'll be okay if the dance with the others will not be up to the mark, but yours and Tom's should be" he said as I saw Tom approach us.
"Yes, Tom. I was just telling Y/N about the dance, you can start the practice now with the others, if you do it, well and good but if you don't, I suggest, you give in a few late hours for today and then we can practice tomorrow again. Got it?" he asked making the both of us nod.
"Alright, now, you move..." the choreographer started to show us the steps for the dance along with a few others but since they were already there, they knew how to. "Now, you place a hand on her upper back - that's the actual way of waltz and the other in her hand. Y/N," he said looking at me, "Place your hand on his shoulder and start with the basic box step"
"So, start to go forward with your left, side with the right and close left to right, got it? Then same with the right, but go backwards, like making a box" he said and went over to the others. I was looking at our feet trying to remember what was told just seconds ago. I looked up and saw Tom already staring at me. He smiled as he saw me struggle, "Oh, like you're a better dancer than me" I said tauntingly and we started the step. The both of us were terrible at this, the minute we lifted our legs, we stumbled.
"Let's try again" I said as he placed his hands on my upper back. We straightened our position and started again, but quickly stumbled again. We laughed and looked down at our feet.
"Okay, you guys are struggling on the basic step, we need- look, try it with numbers. Waltz is always 1... 2... 3... So keep counting and try to do the step. And perfect it, when I teach all the basic steps, then we're going to move on to the actual dance that the both of you will do" the choreographer said quickly and left to help Emma. We sighed and looked at each other. "See, I was right" I said cockily.
We practiced for an hour or so, we hardly learned four steps of the waltz. I was drinking water when Rob sat next to me, "So, what did you and Tom talk about?" he asked raising his eyebrows. I shook my head, "Nothing, just the dance, he still hasn't told me why he's ignoring me"
"Come on, up, Y/N" the choreographer yelled and I sat down to take a break. I kissed Rob's cheek, "I'll be home late today. We need to learn at least, eight more steps" He just nodded and left with the others.
"Alright, so for this step, you both will go out, holding hands, come in, go out again and come back in. Then, Tom, you will spin her around with your hands still intact. Do you get it?" he said showing us the steps.
"A little" Tom and I said in unison. We looked at each other before bursting out in laughter. It didn't feel like we had not been talking the whole week. "Come on, enough laughing. Let's go"
"1... 2... 3... Music"
The both of us tried doing the step but failed miserably. So, for a few minutes, I practiced with the choreographer as he showed Tom's steps and I tagged along with it. He took a short break to attend a phone call when Tom pulled me and said, "Let's practice"
"Oh, so, now you want to talk" I said as he took my hand and pulled me closer. A little too close. He said nothing and straightened his posture. I placed my hand on his shoulder, while he placed a hand on my waist. The music began and we started dancing. "I think, when we've known each other for 17 years, at least, I get to know why you're acting like this"
"Oh, your boyfriend didn't tell you?" Tom asked rolling his eyes. I stopped dancing, but he pulled me and we started dancing again. "What do you mean?" I asked with furrowed eyebrows. He just shook his head. I stopped and stared at him.
"Come on, Tom. I miss you. We haven't talked properly in a week. I- I thought Melissa was making you not talk to me, since I saw her smirking in the cafeteria. I didn't know Rob-"
"Don't you think I miss you too?" he said cutting me off. He sighed, placing his hands on my waist he pulled me into a hug, "Y/N, everyday, when I saw you for the last week, I just felt like hugging you, or talking to you, or placing small pecks on your cheeks and head or even just sit in your trailer with you, even if it's in silence" he continued and I swear I heard him sob.
"But Rob- when you guys fought, you were very upset, I didn't want you to be upset because of me, I just want you to be happy, okay? So, I decided I would talk to Rob, when I did, he said that I should stay away from you and then you guys would have lesser problems"
"He, what?" I yelled angrily pulling away. "Come back here" Tom said pulling me again for a hug. I chuckled and wrapped my hands around him. With every increasing second, he tightened the hug. I hit his arm repeatedly.
"Too... tight... Need to live... Oxygen..." I said and he pulled away. I sighed and looked at him, "Tom, why didn't you come to me? I think I told you that it's Rob's fault, you're my best friend, I wasn't going to let you go. Not for him. Not for anyone" I said straightening his collar as we were still in costume.
"You're so beautiful" he blurted out as he tucked a loose piece of hair behind my ear. He blinked his eyes for a few times, before staring into mine. At this moment, our faces were terribly close to touching. We shouldn't do this, we're both in relationships. We were about to share a kiss when, "Alright, I'm afraid, we need to continue this tomorrow" the choreographer said and we stood beside each other.
