Mishti was still irritated with Abir and his antics. She angrily put her bags on the bed and thought: " yeh kaisa Ajeeb insaan ha ? God he is so irritating, I mean muje kaise trick kiya aur main kuch bhi nahi kar paye, uff, main kal hi ja kar application de dungi for change of room. I can't share the same apartment with him. Aaj ka phela din hi aisa tha toh aage kya hoga"
Her thoughts were broken when the door bell rang.
She opened the door only to find a pretty and bubbly girl with a bright smile on her face.
G:" Hii! I am Naira, your next door neighbour. She forwarded her hand for a handshake."
M: " Hii Naira! I am Mishti. Please come inside.
Naira came inside and sat on the sofa.
M: Toh aap aaj hi ayye ha?
N: Ek second.. phele toh no aap, Tum . Ok ?
M:( laughing) yes tum
N: good. Haa I came today itself. And you ?
M: yes Today.
N: By the tumahri room mate kaun ha ?
Mishti s irritation was back at the mention of the word roommate.
M:" don't ask yar, ek ajeeb ladka ha.
N: Oh matlab hi-fi
M: As in ?
N: Aarey Mishti, mera bhi roommate ek ladka ha, Mendak kahi ka..
Naira made a cute face and Mishti giggled.
M: Mendak ?
N: Aaray jab se aaya ha, yaha waha ulchal raha ha aur tar tar kar raha ha.. toh hua na Mendak ?
The girls giggled and suddenly stopped as Abir came out of his room.
Abir gave Mishti a mischievous smile and a warm smile to Naira
A: Hii beautiful, I am Abir Rajvansh and aapki tarif ?
N: main toh hoo hi naturally beautiful.
Abir gave her a confusing look.
N: You said aap ki tarif? Toh maine apni tarif kar li..
The girls again laughed and hi fied.
Abir was looking at them.
The door bell rang again. Mishti went to open the door. Before she could say anything a young man dashed inside screaming: " Abir , " Abir"
Abir turned and saw that it was Kartik. His long lost friend from Rajkot.
A: omg Kartik mere bhai.. mere yaar
They ran towards each other and hugged each other tightly.
Mishti and Naira were watching them.
K: " Abir.. after so many years! I am so excited to see you..
A: Haa.. same here..
K' waise how was your journey ?
A:( eyeing Mishti) bahot maza aya..
Mishti gave him a cold stare which was noticed by Naira
K: Chal yeh sab chodo aur chal chill karte ha? U know right ?
A: of course man.. food and video games.. done .. tum 10 mins main aao.. I ll do the setup..
K: yes bro..
Then did a fist hi fi..
Abir left for his room.
Kartik gave annoyed looks to Naira and she also showed her tongue to him. Before leaving he saw Mishti and smiled.
She reminded him of his little sister Mansi.
He looked at her and said: tumhe dekh kar muje meri choti bhehen Mansi ki yaad aati ha.
M: toh phir aaj se aap mere bade bhai aur main aapki chotu si sister.
Mishti found him genuine and she could trust him.
N: Mishti tuje yeh Mendak hi mila apna bhai banane ko ?
K: dekho, Mishti.. main frog Prince bhi ho sakta hoo..
N: 👊
K: par na tum muje kya bulaogi ?
M: aah.. soch me dijiye..
K: kyuki agar tumne bhai bola toh sari ladkiyo ke samne meri image damage ho jaeygi na..
M: ummh haa.. main aapko bff bolungi! What say ?
K: wah wah meri behna.. bff.. aacha naam ha..
M: thanks bff.. and they shared a hi fi
K: aacha main aato.. muje kuch kaam ha.. " Abir I ll be back".
A: (screaming) jaldi aana bro..
M: oh God! Yeh kitna chillata ha..
N: bye Mishti main bhi chalti hoo.. so I hope this friend ship is for lifetime.
M: yes of course.
They gave a light hug and Naira also left. Mishti sat on the bed wondering about the changes on her life.
From Ajeeb insaan to a friend and also getting an older brother.
She was smiling to herself and suddenly her mom s call brought her back to reality.
Bm: radhe krishna meri bacchi
M: Radhe Krishna badi maa.. aap kaisi ha ? Aur bade papa? Vo kaise ha ?
Bm: him dono theek ha meri gudiya rani.. tum theek ho ? Khana khaya ?
Mishti saw the clock and realised that it was dinner time.
M: bhii bas Abhi khaa lungi.. aap chinta mat kariya.. main theek hoo
Bm: theek ha meri gudiya rani. Tumhare bade papa Abhi soo rahe ha. Kal baat kar lena unse.
M: jii
Mishti hung up the call and went in the kitchen to prepare some food. She could not find anything and hence decided to cook the instant noodles which she bought.
She put water for boiling and went in her room to fetch the packet of noodles.
Meanwhile Abir came to the kitchen to prepare coffee. He did not want any drinks and just wanted some hot coffee.
He saw the water boiling and thought : lagta Kartik ne bataya hoga uss Angry Chorni ko ki coffee pene ha.
Without thinking he took the water, poured milk and prepared his coffee and went back to the room
Mishti came to the kitchen only to find that her water pot was not there. She thought that it's Abir s prank to irritate her more.
Angry she dashed into his room with out knocking.
Abir was changing his t shirt since some coffee fell on it.
M: aah! ( Closing her eyes)
A: ( screaming) aaaah! Yeh kya?
M: vo tumne..
A: vo side dekho..
Mishti turned the other side and Abir quickly put on his t shirt
A: ab sab safe ha.. aur tum muje badi manners sikha rahi thi.. aur tumhari bari aaye toh sab hawa main udd gaye ?
M: dekho You Ajeeb insaan!
A: Abir.. naam ha mera..
M: wo jo bhi ho.. you listen to me.
Abir crossed his hands on his chest and took some steps towards her.
Her heartbeats suddenly increased but she composed herself and said: " tum ne vo pani kyu pekh diya? "
A: excuse me?
M: vo pani maine noodles boil karne rakha tha!
A: ohh! Waise ab jane do..
M: urrgh! Kaise ho tum!
A: main toh hot, dashing aur cool hoo..
M: ( getting angry) main jaa rahi ho..
A: suno..
She stopped and looked at him
M: kya ha?
A: apna naam toh batati jao, angry Chorni ?
M: nahi bataungi..
A: Main khud pata kar lunga..
M: tumhe jo karna ha karo..
She again starting walking
A: suno
Mishti stopped again
M: kya ha ?
A: Kuch nahi jao
Mishti got more annoyed and left the room.
Abir chuckled and finished his coffee, waiting for Kartik.
Meanwhile Mishti was self talking about her irritations and preparing noodles.
Soon Kartik came and he and Abir had an awesome boys night. They binge watched some shows, played video games and ate food. Abir forgot to ask him Angry Chorni s name.
Since it was late, Kartik left and Abir came to see him till the door. He saw that Mishti was already sleeping, so he locked the main door and prepared to sleep.
Next morning:
Mishti woke up with a smile and did her daily routine. Her classes were starting
at 11:am. Since it was the first lecture today, she did not want to get late. Plus she had to go to the admin office to apply for change of room.
She finished her work and left without even checking on Abir. He was annoying her since she had entered the apartment.
She went to the admin office and applied for the change of room.
The officer denied her request as all the rooms were full and the students had been allocated the roll numbers and everything was done. Now no chance of shifting or settlement in any other room. She requested him but the officer was firm on his decision.
Dejected Mishti walked towards the canteen since there was time for class.
Abir had woken up, taken shower and got ready for his classes. He checked that Mishti had already left. He had made it a point to know her name anyhow.
He also entered the canteen and went towards the counter. He saw that a rich boy also having good looks as his was already standing there. The boy smiled at Abir and he also reciprocated.
Abir and the boy both said together:' ek can Rio ka dena "
Canteen person: Rio ka can ek hi ha mere pass.
Both Abir and the boy looked at each other.
The canteen person was expecting that a fight would break out between the two.
Surprisingly the boy forwarded his hand and said: Hii I am Parth!
Would you like to share the drink with me?
Abir was surprised but agreed.
So they took the can and sat on the chair nearby.
A: Hii! I am Abir Rajvansh.
P: nice to meet you.
A: yes same here
Abir noticed that all the girls were drooling over Parth and some at him too. Parth noticed this too.
They understood and laughed.
A: tum bhi fresher ho ?
P: yes!
A: great going! I found a buddy and a nice friend.
P: same here.. people think that I am from a rich background and arrogant but waisa nahi ha..
Abir nodded and they chit chatted over the college atmosphere and subjects.
Soon it was time for class. Mishti was sitting on the extreme corner hence she did not notice them. She also got up and left for her class.
