CHAPTER 002.

NERVOUSLY, XIMENA'S HANDS WERE SLIGHTLY TREMBING AGANIST ONE ANOTHER. Her heart pounding at each building that grew closer and closer to the destination. Jimmy was behind the wheel of his vehicle tapping his finger to the melody of the radio humming the tune. There were times where he would jump into a conversation leading to her nerves to calm down. The talk was of the basic catch up talk, 'how is London?', 'are you doing good in school?', just the normal talk you would have with an old relative.
Once they arrived at the warehouse though, it was a completely different story. Her body felt as if it turned on autopilot like she wasn't even in control. A slight rise of her heart, clampy hands sweating, the constated need to move or else she would scream, it all came at once.
"Hey," an echo of a voice spoke. "I'm sure they're going to be happy to see you." The words felt as if it was in slow motion. Then a car door slamming brought her back to trans.
The bearded male was stood in front of the vehicle before trailing off. With her eyes widen, she wipes off the sweat on her pants to open the door then shuttting it. Ximena feet hits the ground a few times getting used to it before catching up to her friend.
Ximena groans at the laugh of Jimmy's. "You're a real dickhead."
"I know you wouldn't want to be left alone plus," he grabs a hold of the doorhandle, turning to face her. "I thought it was funny."
She rolls her eyes as he opened the door letting her in first before trailing behind locking the door beforehand. They walked in seeing the rest of the boys there. Two of which caught the attention of the female before rushing over almost trampling her in the process.
"Ximena!" They applauded detaching themselves from the group hug.
"What are you doing here?" Chris asks ruffling his hair a bit. He was wearing black t-shirt with the MrBeast logo plastered on his left peck and matching were gray shorts. The brightest thing to be seen on his character was of his blue shoes which from a distance look clean but up close not so much.
"I have a school project and I decided to film here."
"You could've went anywhere and picked this place?" Chandler jokes leaning his arm on her shorter figure. He was wearing all black unlike his red-orange color Nike shoes paired with white Nike high-top socks.
"Mhm." She nods turning to a brown haired boy fiddling with his hands being in the background among the four. "Hi, Karl."
His eyes flickered up to her seeing a warm smile which made him smile. "Hi." Only small steps were taken with caution.
Ximena places a hand on his shoulder before pulling him into a hug. "I heard you like hugs." She muffles in his ear which he giggles holding her by her back not wanting to overstep boundaries that haven't been discussed of.
After the introduction, they ended up filming the rest of the video that was plan. Ximena was mostly around Chris since Jimmy was usually in the back. From time to time, she would be near Karl who was always nice to her poking her shoulder which she thought was cute, so she did it back.
She could tell the boy's love language was touch and didn't mind him being near. From the videos she seen around, she like his character and was already comfortable with the male before even meeting.
Their day ended with the crew heading to Karl's place since his was always empty. It was roomy though, from the house tour he had given Ximena, she liked it. Unlike her place, his was a bit messy. Like a shirt being in the middle of the hallways which he dismissed it by kicking it and stating, 'friends were over.'
"Okay let's say hypothetically, bingo was his name o." Ximena spoke from the floor back laid down with a pillow hugged close to her chest.
"I like that song. Bingo was his name o, b-i-n-g-o." Karl started singing with a head sway.
"You're so cute." Her eyes were shut so she didn't see the damage she made which was of the boy smiling and blushing which the others caught.
"How long are you staying by the way?" Chris questions shifting in his seat.
"Two weeks or so. We're filming a video or two before I leave and I'm going to be meeting Tucker and your wife. Maybe even pet a cat or two."
"Cats or dogs?" Karl asks after taking a sip of his monster.
"Cats. I like dogs but cats are cats. . . you remind me of a cat."
"Really?" It was just as if a signal pops inside his head, wheels turned to the right position after hearing a compliment that he never knew he needed.
"Mhm. I had this calico friend who I named Cat when I was fifteen and they remind me of you. Simply because they were fluffy and colorful."
"Get a room." Jimmy jokes.
"Speaking of room. The room you gave me sucked, the air conditioner in there doesn't even connect to me. It's hot, I can't handle hot." She had sat up now looking at her old high school friend. "You did that on purpose you little whore."
"You're so mean holy moly." Chandler laughs. "You never changed."
"I got even sexier in the city of London." She muffles with a smile before laying back down.
"You can stay with Karl if you want, he lives by himself."
"I see why."
"Hey!"
"No offense."
"None taken."
"Offense should be taken."
