You never know how much you will love something until it is just to late. You never know how much something meant to you until it is no longer there. You only open your eyes when it is just to late. It is too late to go back and it is too late to fight but it isn't impossible,sometimes no matter how much you try to say goodbye to certain people they stick around because they are not meant to leave. Those are the people you fight for until you have nothing left in you because those are the people who are meant to be in your life.
There Sheldon was holding Amy in his arms. He woke up in the same position he fell asleep in. His neck started hurting from sleeping upright but it was all worth it because next to him was the most beautiful, breathtaking woman who smelled like lavender and her dandruff shampoo and he felt home again. All the smells and all the senses was overwhelming but it was a good overwhelming.
He recalled back the last 24 hours. They reconnected and her lips were on his again, it felt so right like everything else was wrong but this right there was the thing he wanted more than anything. That moment he looked forward to for months. He pulled her in deeper and each one had more passion than the last.
They refused to let each other go like if they let go of each other the dream was going to slowly vanish and they were going to wake up . It will all just be a dream. They refused to let each other go so scared that they were going to leave each other again. They needed each other so much they forgot all the fears just to keep that perfect moment because they needed it.
They would eventually need to catch their breath and then kiss again just incase the last time was the last time. So they could savour it more. Once they did the cleaning up and sat on the couch to watch a movie to be quite honest they didn't care about the movie. Most of the time they would catch a glance at each other and smile. Amy's cheeks would go rosy once Sheldon caught her staring but Sheldon stared to.
They both looked into each other's eyes like when he had to do it with Penny. Except he felt completely comfortable staring into her emerald eyes that sparkled a little because of the reflection of her glasses.
"Wow this doesn't feel real. I'm so scared I'm going to wake up and this would all be a dream." Sheldon said softly not letting go of eye contact.
He took his finger,put it under her chin and he pulled her in so softly to kiss her gently on the lips. She put her arms around his neck and deepened the kiss till it was now them seeing how long they could last without oxygen .
"I missed you so much,Sheldon. Im so sorry for not being patient with you. I'm sorry I didn't talk to you before I broke up with you. I never want to be apart from you ever again." she said as their lips parted and looked to the ground with disappointment.
"Now Amy Farrah Fowler don't you ever apologize for doing what was best for you. I'm sorry I hurt you and didn't see it. I'm sorry I didn't show you how much you mean to me but I promise to show you everyday how much I love you. Every single damn day until you get sick of me." Sheldon cupping her face with his large hands that she perfectly fit in.
She giggled a little. "I don't think that is possible,Dr Cooper. I could never get sick of you." she said thinking if they should talk about this more but refused to and resumed the kiss.
"We are in this together." he smiled wondering how he got so lucky.
This all still didn't feel real. He felt weak everywhere like his body couldn't support his weight anymore. He kissed her once more on the lips. It was quick but sweet and made some tea for them both.
So when he woke up with her in his arms it still felt like a dream but it felt more real to. He kissed her forehead and whispered "Good morning Amy.".
He slowly placed her gently down without waking her up and went to take a shower. He didn't bring clothes now that was smart of him. He felt completely disgusting being in his old clothes but he would just have to keep it on for now till he changes later.
He went to the cupboard to get a towel and tried finding it on top but his hand landed on a box. He couldn't remember a box ever being there and he had an eidetic memory so it was recently put there. He grabbed the box along with the towel and placed it on the coffee table. The box was taped up securely and it has his name on it and hers. What could it be ?
He opened it up to see all the stuff he gave back to her. The tiara,the comic book,his shirt(it smelt like her now),her costume,the coin,the Indiana Jones movie.
When she ruined the movie for him but she left his mouth hanging open that she had to close it again. Sheldon kind of liked it when Amy took charge sometimes. She was so powerful and independent. She kissed him on the cheek once she closed his mouth and whispered in his ear "told ya.".
She knew all of Sheldon's buttons and knew how to press every single one of them. "You're a vixen Amy Farrah Fowler." Sheldon said with a smirk .
She smiled just a little and responded," What you planning to do about it ? Spank me ? ." she giggled a little and Sheldon chased after her,she was just a little to fast and squeled.
They were now at opposite ends of the brown,leather couch waiting for one to give in. He eventually used his long legs to some good use and was able to catch her.
He gently tackled her to the ground until she had no choice but to surrender.
"No Sheldon, That's unfair you are so much taller,so you have an advantage."she said in between her giggles until she opened her eyes to see his beautiful baby blue eyes that pulled her into another galaxy.
He was on top of her now but there was still so much distance between them. She was speechless and didn't know what to say or how to respond, not a word was was uttered between them both. Their eyes said all the words their mouth refused to tell. It was like they were meant to be like they were training for this day for so long but no one remembered when they were able to communicate with just their eyes now and nothing else.
They both weren't there anymore. A knock on the door pulled them back to a reality they didn't want to go back to anymore. It was something they dreaded. Sheldon looked at the door then back at her and gave her a quick kiss on the lips and whispered ," We will talk about your punishment later." . He got up, dusted himself off and gave his hand to help Amy up off the ground.
"Hoo."was all Amy could let out until the door slowly opened. It was Leonard but Sheldon wasn't quite there in that moment listening to him,he just nodded to whatever Leonard was saying while staring at Amy that was now behind Leonard and they continued to communicate with their eyes again. It was like discovering a secret language that they found better than words. He didn't want to loose eye contact with her.
"Sheldon ? Sheldon ?" Leonard kept calling out for him. Sheldon finally tried focusing on what he was saying and waited for Leonard to repeat what he was saying.
"I asked if I'm still going to take you home since I'm finishing a little later at work tommorow." Leonard kept hoping silently he didn't have to because he didn't want to hear Sheldon rushing his work but Sheldon was also his friend. Sheldon looked at him for a second to think about it and just nodded.
"Yes please I don't mind waiting. I can get extra work done in the mean time." he said so nicely that Leonard was so shocked on him saying please.
He choose not to question it before he would never get to hear it again and he said goodbye to Amy knowing maybe she had something to do with it and left.
He loved his eiditic memory. It was bittersweet to him but in this moment he loved it so much and was so glad he had it. Their was a bunch of other stuff in there like the photo of him on Santa's lap that he gave to Amy to put in the kitchen,Alot of photos of them,her scarf and even the little chess piece she kept because it was the first time she beat him in 3D chess or actually anyone for that matter. She said she would never forget the look on his face when she won.
He heard Amy starting to slowly wake up so he closed the box and left it on the coffee table. He decided to go quickly shower and he felt so much better when he did and he changed back into his sticky,sweaty clothes. The only thing that helped him not go completely crazy was that it smelt like her a little. He made some more tea then saw a very sleepy Amy walk slowly out of her room still a little clueless of everything that was happening.
"Sheldon ?" she asked forgetting that he was there for a second till everything came back to her and she walked to him so fast,Sheldon was scared she would trip and hugged him. He could get used to this was all he thought.
He hugged her tightly scared to let her go and everytime he did,he felt a drop in his stomach like he was on a rollercoaster.
"Good morning" he said with a smile on his face and retrieving another cup for her. She slowly looked around the apartment until she had a huge smile planted onto her face,happy that is wasn't some dream.
She stopped to look at the coffee table again like she was seeing things and there it was. The box she kept everything in. Sheldon saw her slowly walking up to it and he put his hands on her shoulders to stop her behind the couch now.
"I was looking for a towel to shower this morning and found it up in the cupboard. I hope you don't mind that I got a little curious on what was in a box with our names on it. "he said it in such a hush tone trying not to be to loud like Amy had to much to drink the previous night.
"No it is okay,I don't mind you gave it to me anyway. I just haven't seen it in so long. I forgot it was there. "Amy said trying to dismiss the little lump slowly rising in her throat as all the unwelcome memories came with it and felt like a slap on the face.
Trying to change the topic,Amy immediately said," how about I make French toast for breakfast?".
Sheldon knew she was changing the topic which hurt him a little because he wanted to talk about the break up. He didn't want to actually but he needed to. He needed to let Amy know he was trying. Yes the past 24 hours has been amazing but as much as he was trying to deny how they both reacted when they touched each other unexpectedly, how their skin would jump a little. It wasn't because they didn't love each other or because they didn't like contact like this. Sheldon was still a little new at it so it was overwhelming but he enjoyed hugging,holding Amy's hands and the little bits of physical contact.
He could see it is because they are both still scared that this is all a dream,that they were both going to leave each other. The way Amy left him because he wasn't good enough and he was scared he wasn't going to be good enough. He was scared that all of it would have been for nothing because it took to long. He was still terrified Amy would leave him and he didn't know if he could recover from that again but he knew that he needed her and he was willing to try but it didn't mean the fear wasn't there.
Amy was also scared Sheldon would run away like he did when she brought up moving together. She blamed herself for scaring him knowing he got scared easily. She was scared he was going to mistreat her again. She was worried that he would stop loving her and wouldn't care anymore. She was worried he would stop trying and just give up on them. She was worried that he wouldn't fight for her and leave saying she wasn't worth it.
They were both ridiculous but there they both were in the same room but in totally different places. They let their fears creep in and it was getting harder to dismiss now but were they going to communicate about it or wait till it blew up in their face. Sometimes you got to go through difficult stages to get to a happy place. The question was,was their relationship worth fighting for? Worth the talking ? Worth the yelling? Worth the fights ? The end of the day was this something they truly wanted and didn't want to let go. Were they both going to stop hiding and fight for their love ? Everyone knows they belong together even them but does knowing that change things ?
"Breakfast is ready Sheldon" Amy yelled a little louder as they both broke out of thought to eat breakfast. They smiled and talked. They both missed this so much but they both felt the constant nagging of their mind that they needed to talk. It was an irritation.
Sheldon left to go back to his apartment to change into better clothes and Amy agreed to meet at his apartment that night,just them alone.

Sheldon heard a knock on the door, Leonard and Penny left next door to give them their alone time. Sheldon opened the door to see Amy and her arm was rubbing the other,she hardly looked at him in the eyes like she was avoiding him. Sheldon felt a slight crack in the heart but tried ignoring it and took her hand while closing the door to seat her on the couch.
Who would have thought Sheldon would be the one starting the very much conversation they both needed.
"Amy, I'm really glad we are back together again more than words can say. I want to say how thankful I am that you gave me the chance to be better for you and I will try not to disappoint you but I know you still have your fears about this relationship and I have mine to. I think it is time we talk about them instead of waiting till one of us breaks up with the other one or runs away." Sheldon said so gently and calm trying to pick the words out correctly but it still didn't come out the way he wanted it.
Amy didn't want to talk about her fears. She felt like she was ridiculous for having them. It stung when Sheldon referred her mistake back to her but I guess he added his mistake to. She wanted this to work but she didn't know where to start. How did they let out their fears without offending the other one. What if he runs away if she tells him. Her head was spinning out of control she didn't know which thought to put first. He noticed her taking long to answer and looked into her eyes again with his beautiful blue eyes that were just as beautiful as the ocean.
"Amy,tell me what is going on in that beautiful brain of yours ?" Sheldon said with a little concern in his voice.
She smiled a little at his compliment.
"Okay but then you have to promise not to run or laugh. It is stupid." she quickly looked at her hands again picking at her nails trying to find a distraction.
"Nothing you ever say will ever be stupid Amy. I promise not to run. I'm not going anywhere even if it makes me mad.I will try sitting here and hearing you out." he said.
Amy took a deep breathe and couldn't believe she was going to do this but she knew for their relationship to work they would need to do this. So here goes nothing.
"Sheldon,I love you so much I really do but I'm scared that you will never love me as much as I love you because of intimacy and I know it is something you are trying to work on really I know you are trying everyday for me and that makes me happy but I can't help but get impatient sometimes especially when you don't tell me in words that you love me either. So my mind is left with a ton of bad thoughts and I'm terrified that if I give myself to you completely that you will leave and I can't go through that,Sheldon I don't think I could survive that." she said in between the tears that were now falling down and staining her cheeks.
Sheldon didn't know what to say,he was frozen and hurt that he could possibly have been responsible for making her feel like this. It was all overwhelming. He took a deep breath himself and pulled Amy into his arms. Amy crashed into his arms and couldn't help but completely lose it now . She fought how she was feeling for so long it was hard to feel this . Amy got up to look at his eyes again waiting for a response scared she made him leave for good. He just took his thumb and wiped the remaining tears on her face.
"I know that must have been very hard for you Amy. Thank you for telling me and I'm sorry I made you feel like that but I want you to know that I love you so much. Sometimes more love than the world is capable of and it is scary but I will try to prove to you more often that I love you. I'm sorry I can't give you all the intimacy you want but I'm really trying. Please know I'm trying really hard for you but till then everytime you feel like that you let me know." Sheldon said not dismissing her vulnerability and gave her a quick kiss and then moved to her ear and said,"I will reassure you each time that your thoughts are so far from right because I love you so much."
Amy smiled a lot fuller now and nodded not knowing what to say.
"What about your fears ,Sheldon ?" she asked wanting to calm his fears like he calmed hers.
She was still scared but it helped to talk it out. Sheldon stopped looking into her eyes now and looked at the TV that had no picture .
"I'm scared that I can't be a better man for you. I'm scared that I won't be able to change and you will leave me because I can't make you happy. I'm scared that when I do something wrong you will leave instead of talking to me about it because the night you broke up with me was all a big misunderstanding. I was going to... to ... "he stopped talking and Amy couldn't help but wonder if he was going to propose that night.
She knew about the ring. She pretended she didn't. He looked sadder and you could see he was trying to fight the tears.
"going to what ?" Amy said hoping he would tell her about it.
Sheldon looked at her and her eyes were glistening because of the water still in her eyes. He couldn't tell her about the ring. It would break her and it would break him going back to the past,talking about a future he had planned and had to get over.
"Nothing,never mind. What I'm saying is that I wish you had come to talk to me. I know I'm not the easiest person to talk to or the easiest in understanding things but I would try for you and I would continue to. I'm just scared you are going to get impatient with me again and decide your life is better without me."he said trying not to show the crack in his voice.
Amy's heart shattered that he felt like this but the same way he reassured her,she reassured him.
"Sheldon,I'm truly sorry I didn't talk to you about it. I guess I was tired of trying to explain something to you that you just wouldn't understand. I didn't stop to think that maybe I could have made you feel the way I felt but Sheldon my life most certainly isn't better without you. I spent months in complete agony and even when I was somewhat okay,I still hurt because I missed you and I love you. You are the best thing to ever happen to me."She held his hands in hers and looked in his eyes.
"You can be difficult sometimes but you are worth it in the end. Next time I will talk to you instead of leaving,I promise and I will try to be patient with you. You become a better man everyday Sheldon and you trying is the best I can ask for. You are trying for me and I love you even more for it. I'm not going anywhere or planning to anytime soon." Amy continued after taking a deep breathe in and out.
They just stared at the ground but their hands interlocked to let each other know they were there still but they were also absorbing the words that were said. They did this without fighting or Sheldon saying something rude and that meant progress. It meant they were both willing to do anything to keep this relationship even talk about feelings which Sheldon didn't really like doing. She was really proud of him for stepping up and leading the conversation. They were going to both be fine. They were the best couple they knew.
Sheldon just held Amy in his arms and she just layed her head on his chest. They both needed to talk about it, they were both glad they did and they would take it from here everyday. It didn't completely make their fears vanish but they were glad they could address their fears and understand each other better.

Sheldon was really going to do this. He wouldn't believe this if you told him last month that he was not only going to be back together with the only woman he has loved since he their eyes met,he would never admit that to himself though and not only that he was going to make love to her for the first time. His first time. He couldn't imagine anyone better to be honest but he was nervous.
It would be the perfect gift. Except what if she didn't want it anymore. What if she gave up on the idea and he embarrassed himself. So he choose two other things he could give her. Penny and Bernadette would know what she would want. So he made sure Amy wasn't with them and knocked on the door. Once the girls teased him,they eventually let him in.
When he brought up the coitus gift,Penny broke the wine glass in her hand. Sheldon wasn't surprised on how strong she was but he didn't expect that reaction. Penny didn't even really care,she brushed it off to focus on the topic at hand. Once they all agreed that Sheldon having coitus with Amy was the best gift, he grew more scared but happy. He walked out with his legs like jelly and a big smile.
He was excited,this was the next step of their relationship and it would dismiss one of Amy's fears a little. He loved her enough to do this and he wanted it to but he refused to tell himself to avoid the extra nerves.
After Professor Proton,Penny and Bernie gave all their advice and the day arrived. He was sad that the guys were going to Star Wars without him but he could always watch it later . He prepared. He got flowers and a Balloon. The balloon flew away while getting to the apartment but he couldn't catch it. He got to her apartment door and knocked on the door taking a deep breath.
She let him in and she looked beautiful. Seeing her calmed down any nerves he had. She had that effect on him. He was still scared but seeing her made him more happy that he could hardly recognise the fear. They discussed it and she seemed happy about it. They kissed on the couch and after a while they took it to the bedroom.
She came back into the room with her light pink nightgown and she was shaking. She was obviously nervous and it was a surprise that Sheldon was so calm about this. He couldn't get over on how beautiful she really was. The way her hair perfectly fell into place and she had that kind smile. He really missed her and that was the only thoughts running through his mind.
"We can find out together."He said in a soothing tone .
He settled her nerves a little and they both couldn't believe this day had finally come, if it even came at all. It was most certainly the most perfect gift that no one could top ever.

When Amy had to go to her neurobiology convention,Sheldon was disappointed because he had to spend more time away from her. The night before she had to leave they had dinner as a group and they all said their goodbyes when she left to sleep early. Sheldon walked her out of the apartment and as Amy was going to walk down the stairs ,Sheldon pulled her arm to pull her into him and he kissed her passionately that Amy was frozen in surprise like the first time he kissed her. She eventually placed her arms on his that were now on her waist. Once their lips parted ,Amy's breathing became heavy and she was just staring in his eyes,communicating the words she couldn't never utter out of her mouth.
"You weren't going to leave without a kiss. You promise to call everyday?" Sheldon said still having his hands on her waist. She smiled a little and went red.
"I promise, Sheldon. I won't be gone to long. Just a couple of days."Amy said trying to reassure him about her absence.
He just got her back and now had to let her go again. It was unfair and he was going to hate every second of it.
"I'm going to miss you every second that you are gone." he said and he was already imagining her arrival back.
He took her hand in his and they walked down the stairs,he walked her to her car. He kissed her on the cheek once more as they said their goodbye. He was to afraid to kiss her again because he was sure he wouldn't let her go.
Just a few days he kept telling himself. He already missed her and she was only in the car . His friends would have to entertain him and distract him.
He was trying to be enthusiastic about hanging out with one of his friends and he picked going with Raj to be observing the telescope. It was quiet and this would be something he would love doing. He still did but his mind kept counting the seconds till she was here again and that made his heart ache because he missed her so much already, how did he survive months of this.
They found a comet ,Rajesh and Sheldon had to pick a name. Eventually after alot of bribing Rajesh agreed to let Sheldon name it after Amy. The look on Amy's face while on skype was worth it. Once she found out the cost was naming all their children Rajesh ,her face dropped a little.
She was so happy he was thinking of their future together which caused a flutter in her heart. She missed him so much to. He was thinking of children with her but she wasn't quite certain of naming them all Rajesh to get a comet named after her but he fought to have it named after her which caused another flutter.
They spoke a little about Sheldon talking to Rajesh about not naming their children after him. She loved the name but she didn't want the name to be forced on her. They continued talking after that about what he missed and what she missed.
When Amy said that she wished he was there. He wished that so much to that he was fighting the urge to get down there himself just to see her and it has only been a day. He needed her to say that she didn't want that and how else to do that but be a Sheldon about it. It helped with the temptation.

When Sheldon's meemaw came to town he was so happy for his girlfriend to meet her and the other way around. He didn't want some of his favourite people to not like each other. He tried to force them to like each other but it didn't work out. They were both stubborn which was their strength and weakness.
He didn't like fighting so this was making his heart beat so fast he was sure it would jump out of his chest. He was struggling to breath a little and his mind was no longer there. He wasn't there. He tried so hard to get out of there and to find an excuse for them to work it out for themselves because it was bringing back childhood memories that he didn't like. It was bringing back the crying late at night because his parents were fighting. It reminded him of the pressure he had to bear to keep his father's secret. It hurt him that he was different from everyone else and didn't know why.
As Amy was about to leave and Sheldon was trying to stop her because he wanted them to get along. Was that to hard? His meemaw mentioned the ring. Of course like it could get any worse. Amy seemed surprised but not as surprised as he thought she would be. Like she kind of knew but he brushed that off. He just stared at the ground not being able to look at both of them. He could already see his heart about to jump out and just lie on the ground. It just got faster and faster which made his stomach feel sick.
When Amy finally heard about the ring,she acted surprised but it was mixed with real surprise because she wasn't aware it was a family ring. If that was the case then he spoke to his mom about this and she agreed. She didn't know but getting Mary's acceptance made her so happy and loved the idea more knowing Sheldon told his mom because he told his mom everything. Also because she considered Mary her second mother in a way. She was always so kind and made sure Sheldon treated her right. She knew it was partly because her mother never really paid any attention to her as a child which was a part of her past she hated. She hated not knowing why she could never get her mother's approval,why her mother could never accept her for who she is and her mother constantly tried to change her into something she didn't want to be. She felt happy and honoured to be part of the Cooper family,too bad that was just a dream which hurt her a little.
His meemaw allowed him to leave while she talks to Amy. He wanted to defend Amy but he looked at her and she gave a slight nod to allow him to leave. He couldn't get out of there quick enough. He knew Amy understood his childhood and why he would hate the situation. She understood him better than he understood himself. His meemaw was one of the people he went to when he had no one else to turn to. She understood his problem with conflict and she didn't blame him for it like others did. She tried to understand. Which is why he couldn't choose between them both. He was begging and pleading who ever was listening that he wouldn't have to.
He went next door to Penny's and they both tried to distract him from the arguing next door. They both let him know it was best he went next door and talked to them both. He wanted to stick up for them both and he didn't want to choose but he couldn't let his meemaw split them up. He needed to defend Amy because he loved her so much,she was his future wife and mother to his future children. They couldn't be like Romeo and Juliet. He found it sad when couples related their relationship to Romeo and Juliet because that just meant you saw an end to a relationship like their was an end to their love story.
Or maybe they referred to the loving each other so much they would die without them analogy. Leonard and Penny started the conversation which he thanked them for later but it didn't stop his stomach from flipping around and his heart from still beating so fast. He kept trying to take deep breaths in and out to reason his difficulty of breathing. He did the same procedure he did everytime there was conflict or he would run. He did it though and his meemaw agreed for them to be together.
Eventually after some talking they didn't quite love each other but they didn't hate each other which was a start which made Sheldon happy. When Amy tried to signal that she wanted him to propose, not now but soon,he was so overwhelmed with his emotions that he couldn't think about it right now. Plus when he proposed to her he wanted it to shock everyone even himself. He wanted it to be perfect. So when he proposed she would be knocked off her feet and he couldn't wait till that day but not at the moment he wanted to keep being better for her first.
While Leonard,Penny and his meemaw were catching up,Sheldon found it as the perfect opportunity to talk to her outside. He interlocked his hands with hers and pulled her outside without anyone noticing. Amy looked a little sadder because she thought she lost that opportunity completely and they were never going to get married it was just a dream now.
"Amy? What's wrong ?" Sheldon said concerned. Amy looked into his eyes and cupped his face in her hands and kissed him. Sheldon was surprised but he didn't pull away.
Once their lips parted ,she finally said something. "Sheldon,do you ever want to marry me ?". Sheldon was shocked to hear her ask this.
"Of course,Amy. Nothing would make me happier but I want our relationship to get better first. We only got back together now and I just don't want to rush into anything."Sheldon said knowing where she was going with the conversation. He kissed her on the forehead trying to reassure her.
"Okay that is understandable, it is just that... that I didn't know if your mind changed since after we broke up. "Amy said feeling a little better that he didn't quite give up on that idea.
"Amy, I can't wait till the day I get to marry you and spend the rest of my life with you. I love spending time with you every day and what did I say ? You are my heartworm.I love you so much and I know that every day will be okay if I have you in it and nothing else." Sheldon said.
Amy smiled and a tear rolled down her cheek. He really came a long way and he was willing to go much further for her.
He kissed her which he managed to do while she was off guard. None of them wanted to pull away but Amy was the first to pull away and just kept staring at him. "I love you so much to and we can get through anything together."she said trying to catch her breath.
He pulled her into his chest and they just stood there letting time pass by just in each other's arms. They both knew they were going to get through anything if they were together. The world had nothing on them. They could keep trying but they were meant to be and Leonard and Penny were leaning in the doorway while meemaw went to the bathroom.
They wanted to see what took them so long. Penny smiled and whispered to Leonard,"We all knew it from the start before they did and I knew their story wasn't over. This was quite a long chapter.I know I know it isn't the best ending but I added some qoutes in there that I loved and I hope it showed a road to more possibilities for this couple.
