Looking over the landscape False grins to herself. The landscape looks amazing, the spaceship is coming together quite nicely. Her base is finally starting to feel complete .
Cleo's transformation had been a few weeks before and while she's been adjusting to the change, the meteor has been unusually quiet. Normally he's at least a little chat but dead silence since Tommy went home.
Gathering up her picks and shulkers False heads into the nether. The sweltering heat washes over her as she flies out to a good mining spot. Putting some headphones she slips them on and gets to work.
Slowly, stack by stack False gathers up the needed netherrack when she gets to the third box her communicator buzzes with an alert. Pulling it out she frowns, it's the meteor, a small jolt of energy runs through her body.
Shaking it off she sends a message saying she got the message and continues mining. Noticing that she's low on torches she thins out the placement bit by bit.
After about ten minutes she whirls around. The nearest torch is at least twenty blocks back, "Crap."
The area is still well lit despite the lack of lighting, "Maybe there's some lava..."
No such luck, there's no lava just netherrack. Stuffing her boxes into her inventory she pulls her communicator out and shoots Doc a message.
False Symmetry: Doc I think I might be affected.
DocM77: how bad
False Symmetry: not bad so far, just night vision I think
DocM77: I'll stop by? Or send TFC?
False Symmetry: Uh I'm ok for now. I'll let you know if anything really starts to happen.
DocM77: give updates every so often
False Symmetry: will do
DocM77: Thanks
RenDog: Stay safe False
Jumping into her base False walks down to her storage room and starts to sort out all the shulkers. Sighing softly she wanders between chests and barrels.
Once she's done there she wanders back to her house area. Since she's not super tired she decides to make dinner. Sure it's easier to just eat gold carrots, but they dont taste to good and she has the time.
A look out the window reveals the full moon rising into the sky. Puttering around in the kitchen she gathers up some food, after a few minutes she hears a soft scratching at the door followed by a sharp bark.
"Hold on Ren," She laughs, "Give me a moment."
The barking stops. A moment later false lets him in.
"Hey buddy," She pats his head scratching his ears a bit.
Ren boops her with his nose and curls up under her table.
"Let me get this done real quick," False murmurs as she grabs a plate.
Perking his ears up Ren sniffs at the food. Unaware of the wolf lingering behind her, False takes her food and turns away. Popping up behind her Ren snags a bit of chicken.
False sets her plate down, "Really?"
Ren nods the chicken still in his mouth.
"Do you want a plate?"
He nods again.
Grabbing one False gives it to him and he very gently sets it down, "Do you want me to cut it?"
He does a little happy dance around the room as False gets him the food.
"Ok, Ren here you go," False sets the plate back onto the ground, "Don't eat too fast..."
As the pair eat Ren shuffles around to lean against her legs. Once he's done eating he jumps onto the counter snags an entire baked potato and bolts.
"Oh my goodness, Ren, get back here," False yelps as she chases the hyper wolf.
Reaching the end of the glass walkway Ren huffs and turns around, False is close behind. He yelps though the potato and scrambles into the nether portal.
He makes it over to Tango's portal and turns around... hold up, her eyes are glowing. Ren thinks, turning his head. He carefully walks into the portal and darts beneath a nearby bush.
"Found you," False laughs, she's slightly out of breath but is keeping pace pretty well.
Yelping Ren drops his potato and runs. It takes a moment but False chases after.
Grabbing at him she manages to pull him to the ground, "You're getting slow."
Ren wines in protest, wiggling around he tries to lick her face.
"Stop that... how did I catch you. You're normally like super fast. Did you let me?"
Rolling to his paws Ren shakes his fur out and shakes his head no.
False flops back and looks up at the stars, "You dont think it's part of whatever the rock is doing?"
Ren turns his head to the side and growls softly. Gently biting down on her boots Ren tugs her towards her base.
"I'll take that as a yes..." She yawns.
Yipping Ren starts to herd her over towards the nether portal. He's being pretty vocal but False doesn't really know what he's trying to say.
"Ok ok, I'm following you."
Ren pads into the nether and walks out into the Goat's Château. Barking he snuffs around and walks up to where the creeper is huddled in front of a stack of notes.
"Hey Ren, and False... what can i do for you?"
False shrugs, "Well this nugget dragged me here after i managed to catch him as he was running."
Doc hisses softly, "I think your eyes are glowing a little bit as well..."
Taking this moment to slink away Ren padds off to go play around with Etho and Joe.
As Doc walks around her slowly he yawns, "Why don't i run some tests and you come back later."
After a moment she agrees. Doc takes some tests to run and False heads back to her base. As she gets there she doesn't feel too sleepy so she does a bit of exterior work before turning in for the night.
As the sun rises the next morning False makes her way over to Doc's base. It's still dawn when she arrives for she has to wait for a while as he is still sleeping.
Doc yawns as he wanders into his lab, "So your transformation is like an improved human. At last for now. Night vision and speed are probably just the beginning."
"That doesn't sound good..." She murmurs.
Hissing Doc shrugs, "I don't think it's too bad. From the particles, there will be more to the transformation, but this part looks fine."
"Okay," False nods, "What else do you think will happen."
Hissing thoughtfully Doc murmurs, "You might get super strength, beyond that who knows."
"Hu, well that doesn't sound too bad."
Doc shrugs, "I'd just be careful moving things around."
Nodding False grins, "If I do get super strength will I need to get a reinforced communicator?"
"Depends, comms can handle getting concrete and gravel being dropped onto them, so we might need to test some things."
"That's fair."
As she makes her way back to her base she frowns. Strength seems ok but it might have some not so pleasant side effects.
Brushing the negative thoughts off she gets to work placing netherrack. Doing a simple repetitive task is pretty relaxing. As she works the task gets easier and easier. The dirt is easily replaced by the netherrack.
Taking a moment to look at her work she stops, "I wonder..."
She walks to the edge of the biome and punches a tree with all her strength. The block instantly pops into her inventory, "Well, that's good to know."
Pulling her communicator out she shoots Doc a message telling him that he was right.
A few minutes later Stress shows up, "Hey False."
"Hey, did Doc want you to see how strong I am?"
"He did," Stress grins, "So what do you know?"
"Well it looks like I can insta-mine a lot of different things with just my hands."
"Do you still need tools?"
"Yeah, that's still a thing."
"Ok, so can you try to pick up this?" Stress places a wool block.
False shrugs and moves to pick up the wool. She does so easily, "Ok."
"Now can you pick up this," Stress puts a block of concrete down.
With a slight oof False picks it up, "That's lighter than I thought it would be."
"Hmm, this?" Stress sets a block of cobble down.
Again False picks it up.
"Try to crush it!?" Stress grins.
Pressing her hands together False cracks the cobblestone, "Whoa, that's crazy."
"Try brick!!" Stress instructs excitedly.
Again she picks it up; she's starting to struggle a bit, and breaks it.
"Stone brick!?"
False picks it up and gets it to crack a bit but doesn't break it.
"Try gold!!"
Picking up the block False pushes the gold in and squishes it slightly, "Wow."
Stress grins, "That's awesome!"
This continues for some time, until they get to obsidian.
She can barely pick it up and after a few moments drops the lava glass back to the earth.
"Is that all?" She pants slightly.
"Yep," Stress grins, handing her a water bottle, "You did good."
False grabs the bottle and moves to take the lid off. She yelps as she squeezes it a bit too hard and sprays her on the face, "I think this'll take a bit of getting used to."
Stress snickers, "Sorry love, you'll get the hang of it," Yawning she shakes her head, "I'm off as fun as this is it's exhausting."
"Really? I don't feel tired at all..." False murmurs.
"Hmm, take a shower and get food and if you don't feel tired it might be part of the transformation."
"Oh yeah, good point," False waves as they part ways.
After she gets all clean she notices something a bit odd, "Wait am I glowing?"
The normally dark area was ever so slightly lit up. Due to the night vision it's not very obvious but it's definitely there, "That's pretty neat," She murmurs as she sends Doc a message about the new development.
Since glowing is pretty harmless that problem is left for the morning. The stars glitter as False wanders her base. The creepers go around as she does some work on the base. Little things are fixed here and there, as the night goes on a few of the more nocturnal hermits show up. Time is spent talking and a bit of showing off. By morning the hermits have a good idea of just how strong she is and how fast she is.
