Cody POV
I was currently sitting in the main room studying, a few of the avengers were here, Loki was currently playing chess with Bruce,
Nat, Clint, Tony, Steve, Bucky and Sam were watching,
I was too wrapped up in the book I was studying for this exam to even notice what the hell was going on,
"Maybe Cody can beat him she's smart," I hear Sam say
"And is studying if you don't mind," I said as I turned the page,
I had my legs laid across the couch,
"It seems the mortal Child is too afraid to be challenged by me," Loki said
"No we both know that would be a waste of my time," I said
"And why is that child?" Loki said
I finally looked up at him,
"Because I have far more pressing matter to attend to than to beat you in a simple chess game," I said
I heard a Chuckle from behind me, I see Tony
I looked back down at my book,
"I think you are afraid," He said
"Please, the only thing I'm afraid of is how badly you play," I said
"What?" He said darkly
"It would be a waste of time," I said turning the page,
"Oh come on," Clint said
"Begging is useless, I'm busy," I said
"I swear she there is no denying she's related to you Stark," Nat said
Next thing I know I'm sitting in a chair in front of Loki,
I glared at him,
"You really are not used to people telling you no," I said
"You have no idea," Bucky said
I sighed in frustration,
"Don't say I didn't warn you," I said in a board tone,
Not even thirty minutes later,
I beat Loki four times,
I looked at the other's they had sweat drops on their head,
"What?" I asked
"Never seen anyone beat him before," Nat said
I sighed,
Loki smirked at me,
"Alright I accept defeat I cannot beat you child," He said
"I did warn you," I said slowly standing up,
I looked around for my crutches,
"Could someone," I asked
"Yeah, sure," Bucky said grabbing my crutches,
"Thank you," I said taking the crutches and hobbled out of the room so I could get some studying done,
Loki POV
I have to admit, it does interest me that the child beat me not only once but four times, and yet there is a sense of sadness and loneliness in her eyes,
"I've got my eyes on you little Fennec" I said smirking watching her hobble down the hall,
