In the living room, Rose handed Dylan a cup of coffee. "Careful, it's hot." she told him, then she noticed he was smiling. "You can't hide your excitement, huh?"
He chuckled. "Yeah" He lifted his cup and took a sip. "I'm excited to see you for the first time. I'm also a bit nervous." he said, still chuckling. "Okay, hold this." He handed the cup back to her.
She took it.
He turned his body to her and held her face. "Let's see. Mmm... You have a small pointed nose, thin lips. Your lashes are pretty thick, and your eyebrows too... Your face is small. Your hair is very long, and you have little bangs right here... I bet you look lovely." he asserted.
She was looking at his face smiling. "Don't expect too much. This face is not a super model face." she told him.
"I don't have to expect. I'm very sure I will still love you no matter what you look like." he said confidently. "Hey, if my eyes got better before Valentine's Day, let's go back to the church that day." he requested.
"So you like that place now, huh?" she asked.
"Yeah. Let's make it our secret place." he replied.
She sniggered. "Okay"
Serena overheard their conversation. She was hiding behind the wooded divider. She was full of hatred at that moment. She feared she would lose if she would not take an immediate action. Desperate, she left the house with a thoughtless decision.

The next day, Rose helped Dylan take his first eye exam before his surgery. The doctor took measurements and looked for any possible unrelated problems that might occur during the operation.
He was also instructed to stop taking medication three days before his cornea transplant schedule.
"All my test results are fine. The doctor said I'm a good recipient for the donor's corneas. She's 95% sure the operation will be successful. That's a pretty good rating." he said.
"Yeah. Just follow what your doctor told you." Rose replied.
"Our contract will end next week. You have to sign up for an extention." he told her.
"No need. I'll stay until you fully recovered." she responded.
He chuckled. "Yeah, but you still have to sign."
She looked at him suspiciously, then she sighed. "Fine"

In the afternoon, Rose left to get her violin back. While she was away, Serena accompanied Dylan in his bedroom. "Let's have a little drink. Let's celebrate your upcoming surgery." she invited him.
"Thanks, but I'm not in the mood to drink right now." he refused.
"Come on, just one glass." she insisted, then she handed him a glass of J.D.
"All right, just one glass." he said.
"For the success of your surgery. Cheers!" She raised her glass, then she had a toast with him.
He drank up all the whiskey in his glass.
"Your life will finally return to normal." she told him.
"Yeah, I kinda miss running, driving, and going to school." he replied.
"I'm planning to stay here by the way. I'll enrol at your school. We will be together just like before." she said happily, but he gave her a different expression.
"Serena... things are different now. We can still be friends, but I have to set a boundary between us." he replied.
"Is it because of Rose? ...Are you two planning to stay together when your sight is back?" she asked in a bitter tone.
"Fine. Anyway, you already know about it... Yes, because I love her... Although she's not telling me yet, I know she feels the same way for me too." he told her certainly.
"What if I tell you she's not pretty?" she asked in a scornful tone.
"I don't care about that anymore... but I doubt that." he answered, then all of a sudden, he felt heavy. He shook his head and held his face. "This is weird. I only drank a little." he mumbled, then he began to feel tipsy.
Serena watched him until he turned completely high. Then, she walked to the door and locked it. When she came back, she took all her clothes off in front of him. Then, she sat next to him and held his face. Desperate, she kissed him lustfully.
Even though he was drunk, he knew what was going on. He held her arms and pushed her away gently. "What are you doing?" he asked in a drunken voice.
Without answering, she kissed him again.
He turned his head away and pushed her again, but that time, he did it with annoyance. "Stop it!"
She didn't listen. She grabbed his hands and put them on her breasts. "Touch me, Dylan. I'm willing to give myself to you." she told him eagerly.
He felt her body, but he didnt let his temptation take over him. "I said stop it, Serena!" he shouted as he pulled his hands off her. "Why are you doing this to yourself?" he asked, trying to bring back his senses.
"Can't you feel it? I'm in love with you!" she confessed in an upset tone. "I've been in love with you since high school. I travelled faraway to find a doctor who could change my ugly face, so you can finally notice me. (gasped) I'm back now, and I look pretty. I can assure you that." she said under her cries, then she took his hand again and put it on her face. "I don't have that hideous birthmark anymore. You can try to like me now."
He let out a deep breath. "My heart already belongs to someone else." he replied in a low tone.
After she heard that, she cried louder. "How about me? I've known you first. We're already friends before you met her. This is so unfair to me!" she burst out.
"I'm sorry... You're really just a friend to me. You can't change what I feel... Go home, Serena. Give yourself a rest... and forget about your feelings for me." he told her. He tried his best to sound sincere, and serious at the same time.
Serena got up from the bed. With a heavy heart, she put her clothes back on. Then, she faced him again. "This is not over yet... I will only stop... once she told you she's in love with you too." After she said that, she walked away and left the room.
In her mind, she was bent on not to let that day come.

When Rose returned home, she found Dylan in her room sitting on her bed. She felt bothered something might have happened to him again.
"Dylan?" she called softly.
When he smiled, she felt relieved he was okay. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm waiting for you. I want to tell you something." he told her.
She approached him and sat next to him. "What is it?"
"Um, well... Serena did something earlier while you're gone. She... She tried to seduce me and asked for... um, you know... sex." he admitted tensely.
She was shocked, but she remained calm. "Okay... and then?"
"I refused of course. I just thought I should not keep that from you." he answered.
"All right, I'm not mad. Is there anything else you want to say?" she asked.
"Um, yeah... She kissed me... and forced my hands on her breasts." he revealed.
She raised an eyebrow. "Oh... Does she have a nice pair of breasts?" she asked sarcastically.
He traced her hand and held it. "Yours are better." he said, then he smiled childishly. "How's your shoulder?" he asked.
"It doesn't hurt anymore." she answered.
"So, um... Can we do it now? ...You should reward me. I'm a good boy today." he claimed, smiling.
"Oh, so this whole confession thing is about that, huh?" she asked.
"Honestly, what Serena did turned me on, but I controlled myself because I don't want to do it with her... and I'm really waiting for that good, long sex you promised me once you got better." he told her, pouting.
She rolled her eyes, but she did not deny he really behaved well that day. "Fine... but can I take a shower first?"
"Sure. I'll wait here. Just jump on me when you're ready." he answered excitedly.
She chuckled voicelessly. Then, she took off her clothes and went to the bathroom.
In just a few minutes, Dylan became restless and impatient. His whole body wouldn't stop calling for hers. When he could not take it any longer, he got up from the bed and traced his way to the bathroom door. When he found it, he knocked repeatedly. "Rose, come out already!"
She was still under the shower. "I just got here ten minutes ago!" she yelled.
"Open the door!" he yelled back, begging.
"What a sex-freak." she mumbled.
When he kept knocking, she grabbed the towel on the wall hanger and quickly wiped her wet body and hair.
