DD: (grabbing his collar) kaha tha na apni shakal nahi dikhayega Tu... Phir yaha kyu aaya hai tu? (angry)
Neil: (releasing his collar) calm down guys calm down..main kaha tumhari behan ko utha ke le gya...(smirks)
Vid: Himmat kaise huyi teri yaha aane ki..
Neil: business ke silsile mein aaya hoon... (dusting his coat)
Vid: tu....
He was interrupted by a sudden entry at the door.
They shift their gazes. It was karan.
Karan: hello Mr. Luthra.. DD, Vid.. inse milo yeh hai Yuvraj luthra hu,are business Partner.
DD: humein is neil ke saath koi deal nahi karni...
Neil: (feigning innocence) Ab main kaise samjhau aap dono ko... main koi neil nahi hoon.. Yuvraj Luthra hoon main..
DD: kabse ?
Neil: kabse matlab main... bachpan se hi yuvraj hoon (shrugging shoulders)
Vid was about to say but karan interrupted.
Karan: guys... batao to sahi chal kya raha hai?
Neil: dekhiye mr. karan jabse yeh log mujhse mile hai yahi keh rahe hai ki main neil hoon... arrey meri baat ka yakeen karo main koi neil nahi hoon.. yuvraj hoon main ... yuvraj luthra.
Vid: yeh jhooth bol raha hai yeh neil khanna hai...
Karan: vid yeh tum kya keh rahe ho? yeh Mr. Akshay Luthra ke bete yuvraj hai.. naki koi aur.
DD: par...
Karan: bas karo DD kyu tamasha bana rahe ho?
Neil: enough is enough mujhe yeh deal karni hi nahi hai (fake anger)
Karan: sir... please aisa mat kijiye aap please baithiye...
He made Neil sit and Turned to DD and vidyut.
DD: karan you don't know him yeh wahi Neil Khanna hai..
Karan: pagal samajh rakha hai tum dono ne mujhe?
Vid: kehna kya chahta hai tu?
Karan: guys please maine sab check kiya hai.. yeh Yuvraj Luthra ki file hai... isse avni ke saath kaam karna tha isiliye I never took any risk.
DD and Vidyut looked at the file and then at karan.
Karan: abhi please guys dad aur avni dono ke liye yeh project bohut zaruri hai... ab isme koi rukawat mat daalna...
DD and Vid looked on at his pleading face and nods.
Karan went back to neil.
Karan: i'm really sorry Mr. Luthra it was just a misunderstanding. kuch purani yaadein... i hope you don't mind.
Neil nodded in okay.
Vid: kitna bada dhokebaaz hai Neil..
DD: insan ke halaat badalte hai fitrat nahi... (gritting his teeth)
Vid: I think ab humein aur wait nahi karna chahiye aur prakash papa se baat kar leni chahiye...
DD nods in affirmation.
They left for Khanna Mansion.
Avni was already there.
DD: avni tum yaha kaise?
Avni: arrey kuch nahi woh site pe jane ke baad sidha ghar hi aagyi... waha to karan sambhal hi lega.. par tum dono?
Vid: bas prakash papa se kuch baat karni thi... isiliye... (nervous smile)
DD too nods in affirmation.
Avni: okay... agar free huye to sunheri aur juhi ko bhi le aana...(smiles)
Vid and DD nods.
Avni left towards her room.
Vid and DD to went towards the study room where prakash was busy reading some file.
Prakash saw them and greeted. he dialled for shweta on intercom and called her up.
As soon as shweta came they sat around the table.
Prakash: dekho beta hum tum dono se ek bohut important baat karna chahte hai...
Vid: infact papa humein bhi aapse kuch baat karni hai..
They sat there discussing their important things for a while and later departed.
Here Neil and Karan had discussed about the task and were about to go..
Neil: Mr. Khanna i hope aapko pata hai ki ab aap is project se backoff nahi kar sakte and please make sure aapke woh do dost phir se mujhe neil neil bolke mere upar na chade...
Karan: I'll surely take care of it. unhe bas ek misunderstanding thi...(smiles)
Neil things something to himself smirks, nods and left.
soon it was night.
After dinner the kids went to sleep and so did the pregnant ladies.
Avni, Karan, Prakash, Shweta, DD, Vid were sitting in the hall.
Later four were looking at each other to start the conversation.
Avni and karan were confused looking at them
Karan: mom dad agar kuch kehna hai to kehiye na...
Avni: haan DD vid kya baat hai?
DD: woh avni... actually... (looking at vid)
Prakash: finally said beta hum kuch chahate hai tumse...
Avni: kahiye na dad kya?
Shweta: tum dono shaadi kar lo...(she said in one go)
Avni and karan looked at each other surprised.
Vid: dekho avni hum sab yahi chahte hai... please mana mat karna...
Karan: le..lekin shaadi kaise? me...mera matlab hai... hum dono..
Prakash: beta kitna waqt aur chahiye tum dono ko.. dekho avni karan.. kuch bhi jaldi nahi hia beta... hum to bas tum dono ko khush dekhna chahte hai...
Avni was dumfounded hearing her family's sudden request. she stood up and left towards her room.
All others looked at her leaving.
DD: (holding karan's hand) dekho karan please... main ek bhai ki haisiyat se maang raha hoon... dekho jo bhi kuch hua tha 7 saal pehle sab tumhe pata hai... please usko mana lo...
Karan: par main... mom dad aap log acche se jaante hai ki hum dono saath kyu hai.. phir bhi..
Prakash: neav ki haalat dekhi thi kal.?..
karan stood in his place.
Prakash: beta sach yahi hai.. please avni ko aur khud ko mana lo...
Karan went towards the room.
As he entered he saw avni standing near the window looking at the night sky.
Karan: Avni....
Avni turned at looked at him.
Karan: avni dekho main..
Avni: acche se jaante ho tum mujhe? (teary eyes)
Karan looked confused and nods.
Avni: main yeh faisla nahi le sakti... (sitting on the couch with a thud)
Avni buried her face in her palms she started sobbing.
Karan immediately went down on his knees reaching her level he tried cupping her face.
Karan: avni dekho.. main acche se jaanta hoon ki tumhare liye its not that simple... yeh sach hai neav ke liye humne yeh faisla liya tha... hum saath aye the...
Avni looked at him with teary eyes. they both recalled something dreadful of their past.
FLASHBACK
It was an year back when neav was 5 years old.
They lived in shimla.
One evning neav came back from the schoool and went to his room straight he didn't even greet anyone.
Avni and karan both found it weird. when they tried to talk to him he said he won't be going to school ever after that day.
Avni was taken aback with his sudden decision.
Karan too was surprised but it was completely normal for him to do this as there might be a tussle in his school. he promised him nothimg will happen and sent him off to school.
but the next day he came he was even more disturbed.
he went to the room and searched the drawer for something.
as soon as avni came back from office she enquired about neav and got to know he was sleeping.
she carefully went towards his room she saw him sleeping with cute pout.
avni caressed his hair lightly.
just as she was about to go her attention was caught by something in his hand.
she frowns and tried to take a look at it.
she was shcoked seeing it there.
Avni: KARAN!!!!!!
Karan came running
Karan: avni sab theek hai kya hua?
Avni was crying badly keeppinng neav's head in her lap, constantly asking him to wake up for him but neav was not responding.
Avni: k...karan... neav.. neav ne pills..... yeh dawai... kha li hai..... (crying)
Karan looked at the pills he was shocked to see hypotensive pills.
All of them immediately rushed to hospital.
After a long procedure avni and karan were called in by doctor.
Avni: doctor mera baccha theek hai na... usko kuch ... kuch hua to nahi na..
Karan: haan doc please bataiye na...
Doctor: I'm really sorry asking you about it but.. aap dono ka aapas mein relation kaisa hai?
Avni and karan looked at each other.
no doubt they were best friends but they didn't share a room.
they stayed in a house like housemates nothing more than tha..
they both loved neav equally.
they cared for him like mother and father but karan hiimself told avni that he will never ever ask neav to call him papa or dad.
karan very well understood that avni had always loved her first love. there was meagre attraction at starting but he tried to get it off.
Avni on the other side had gratitude for karan she was always thankful to him for coming to her life.
she had decided she will never fall in love with someone
both shared an equation of care respect and friendship.
They were snapped out by doctors words.
Doctor: MR and MRS KHANNA please aapke relation ka asar neav par dikh raha hai...usne sirf kuch hi goliyaan khai hai.... abhi woh sirf 5 saal ka hai... is age pe aise suicidal thoughts is not at all good. i requeat you kam se kam apne bacche ke liye ek ho jayiye... at least jab tak woh sambhal nahi jata...
Avni and karan looked at each other.
It was then when they started sharing a room they moved to london to live with prakash and shweta.
Sharing a room and often seeing someone had increased his attractions where as avni always took it as friendly as anything else.
for first some days karan slept in the couch but then later they started sharing a bed beacause of neav who would often show up sleeping with his parents.
thsi continues even today.
FLASHBACK ENDS
Karan: avni lets not think about it please.. chalke so jao.. subah dekh lenge
Avni nods and went to the bed.
Karan layed by her side at a suitable distance.
Karan: (to himself) pata nahi kyu sab kuch ajeeb sa lag raha hai...
Other side neil was talking to anita on call.
Anita: yuvi.. Pakka na tu kuch galat nahi kar raha?
NEil: han mom.. aapne hi to kaha tha pyaar je liye hum kuch bhi kar sakte hai...
Anita: (nods) dekh beta khud ko zyada stress mat karna okay?
Neil: haan maa nahi karunga...
He hung up the call.
Neil: main acche se janta hoon ki DD aur vid zarur mere piche gunde bhejenge... lekin haath kuch nahi aayega saale sahab ke.. (devilish smirk)
