The multitude of rain pounded against the classroom windows that took up most of the wall. It was the last class of the day at Hopes Peak Academy. Kiyotaka Ishimaru, the ultimate moral compass, was fully focused on his school work with a hand resting atop a calculator ready to input an equation. Leaving his best friend, Mondo Owada, all alone to watch the clock tick by. Sure he could be doing homework or..anything productive but as the ultimate biker gang leader he wasn't really the type to follow the rules of a school.

"Uuuggghhhh finally!" Mondo stretched his arms and back in his chair with a yawn. The shuffling of chairs and chatter filled the room as Taka closed his assignment. He picked up his book bag then stood in front of his desk which was in front of the class. "If anyone needs an umbrella I have five spares." He smiled pulling out the number of umbrellas from his book bag as well as putting the calculator in one of the small pockets on the front. Of the 78th class, Leon Kuwata took one whilst ruffling up Takas hair to mess with him, which worked out as the hall monitor made a small pout then fixed his hair. Then Sayaka walking with a nervous Toko, the orange haired punk hung his head with a sigh watching his crush walk past him umbrella in hand. Byakuya took the third with a side way glance, then Makoto when Byakuya called for him. Finally Hifumi grabbed the last one pushing up his glasses then turning to Celestia who covered her mouth with her hand probably holding a grimace.
Kiyotaka pulled out his own then zipped up his book bag and swung it on his shoulder. He then turned to the one person who hadn't left their chair yet, his best friend. "I apologize for your bike." Taka bowed to Mondo, who tilted his head in response while getting out of his desk. "What ya talking about Ishi?" Mondo asked in a passive aggressive way grabbing his bag from the floor. "The rain" he gestured to the window "your bike must be soaked, but I'm sure we can fix it if something is majorly wrong." Taka held his fists up to his chest, sparkles in his eyes and a smile on his face. "Ah-" Mondos face immediately flushed up in red "Y-You mean..t-together!!?" You dumbass! Say something so he doesn't think you're gay!! "B-Bro!!?" How can he make such a cute and handsome face?? Mondo instantly threw his head down making his pompadour useful and hiding his face. "We could ask Kazuichi" Taka blinked with concern. The moral compass has made the false consumption that Mondo is ashamed to do anything with anyone instead of the truth that Mondo can't handle being alone with his biggest crush. Mondos eyes widen as his head shot up "WHAT?! NO!! THATS NOT WHAT I MEANT!!" He bared his fangs while steam was practically coming off him. The room fell silent besides a soft cough from the teacher. "Ah right, we should leave." Taka bowed to the teacher, told them to have a good day then left the class next to an embarrassed Mondo.
"So why aren't ya just heading to your dorm bro?" Mondo asked with his hands behind his head. "I need to return a couple books from the library, I figured I could just walk there. What about you?" Taka looked up at the biker who turned away in response. "I ain't got nothing better to do, I could...join ya if you like." Takas face immediately lit up which usually meant one of two things: school work. "We can do your homework together!" He raised his fists up to his chest. Mondo guessed right. The biker whined and hung his head down shoving his hands in his coat pockets. "On second thought.." He started receiving a gently nudge from Taka and a laugh. Mondo laughed with him raising his head. "You don't mean that-" Taka blocked his friends path then raised a fist up in a confidence stance. "Your school work is incredibly vital to the rest of your life!" He extended his index finger out "I won't stop pushing you to do your very best! Even past graduation, which you'll pass with flying colors, I'll never give up on making you the best Owada you can be!!" Taka was the embodiment of confidence and Mondo was smiling lovingly the entire speech. "Bro! I love it when you get all poetic!" Mondo threw his arm over Takas shoulders and Taka did the same both of them with wide smiles.
After going down stairs and hallways the two made it to the entrance. The rain had gotten more fierce but it wasn't hailing at the least. Mondo could see his bike in the parking lot, sadness ran through him. "You sure you still wanna go, bro?" Mondo asked not that he expected Taka to refuse. "Of course, once you have a plan you can't go against it." He pushed open his umbrella then walked out the doors holding it above his head. Yet Mondo didn't get under. His pompadour was slowly getting soaked and falling down. Taka hummed with a pout and raised the umbrella up stepping closer to him. Mondos face instantly grew red again "I-It's okay bro! I don't want ya to reach up the whole time." He waved his hands embarrassed stepping out from under the umbrella. "I'm not letting skip class by getting a cold! You can hold it if that's the problem." Taka exclaimed with a pout then stepped closer to Mondo again. Dammit I'm really not getting out of this. Not that I want to but- As Mondo grabbed the umbrella his hand brushed up against Takas. AAAAAAAAAAAAA
The two walked off the campus and onto the sidewalk, the library was very close by. The rain pounded against the umbrella unfortunately getting their sides wet from not being able to cover both of them. The moral compass took in a deep breath of the cold air then exhaled unconsciously hugging himself to warm himself up a bit. "Geez bro" Mondo started catching Takas attention, the biker handed the umbrella back to him then began to take off his jacket. "Mondo! What did I say about you catching a cold!" Taka held the umbrella tighter to replace pointing his finger at him, he made sure to raise it high enough for Mondo. "You're the one that's shivering n shit, plus I know for a fact that if you got a cold you'd still go to school even if you were feeling miserable." Taka huffed before closing the umbrella and placing it in a side pocket of his bag. "Taka?" Taka grabbed Mondos jacket that was almost off and pulled it back on him. "If you got a cold, people would care" Taka spoke in a somber tone hanging his head low, Mondos eyebrows scrunched up almost like he was just insulted, before Taka could continue his lecture Mondo shouted.
"What the fuck is that supposed to mean!?! You think people don't care about you?!" Mondo clenched his fists, he could see Taka flinch slightly but only slightly. "I don't want to argue about this, it's just a fact." Taka tried to pull out the umbrella again all while continuing to stare at the concrete beneath them but Mondo grabbed his wrist. "BULLSHIT! You're fucking amazing Taka! You're so passionate about school, you're always ready to help people even if they're shitheads like me!" Takas eyebrows scrunched up he forced his eyes to stay open so tears didn't fall down. "How many people do you think actually care about me?" Takas fists shook, he swung his head up, crimson eyes burning with tears that blended into the thundering rain. "List them Mondo! list the amount of people who don't think I'm just...Who don't think I'm just some annoying fucking hall monitor!!!" Tears poured down Takas face, he instantly covered his mouth after realizing what he just said. His breath hitched taking in sharp short takes of air. "I-I..I.I.." Taka couldn't speak nor could he breath. Mondo knew Taka only cursed when he was truly upset. Mondo threw his arms around Taka, squeezing the back of his uniform as if if he let go Taka would vanish. Takas arms pressed against Mondos, the pressure somehow making him feel a bit better. The biker slowly sat the two down in the middle of the sidewalk, his pants got soaked because of the water but he couldn't get less of a shit.
"I..I-I'm s-so so-sorry-y" Takas voice bounced up and down gripping onto Mondos shirt. "Don't apologize for anything Taka." Taka rested on Mondos lap, Mondo made sure that they were close as they could be together. Sniffles and sharp breaths could still be heard from the hall monitor but they were slowly starting to calm down. "I-I" Taka stopped himself from continuing noticing how shakey his voice was. He gulped and took a deep breath before continuing "I..I'm sorry I dragged you out here, I-I'm sorry you had to hear me curse" Taka shoved his head into Mondos chest more tears started to come "I-I'm sorry I asked you to even be m-my friend! I-I'm just so-" "amazing." "Huh?" Taka looked up at his best friend wiping away a tear, his eyes widen once he saw that...Mondo was crying too. Mondos lips were pressed deathly against each other, holding in any sound that resembled crying but that wouldn't stop the tears to fall down whenever he blinked. Mondo hid his face in the crook of Takas neck holding onto Taka even tighter, Taka removed his arms from Mondos chest and wrapped them around the biker. "D-Don't- fuck" Mondo started but immediately cursed himself when he heard how shakey his voice was.
"Dont f-fucking talk about yourself like th-that! God d-dammit Taka why don't you see it?!" Mondo pulled away but only so Taka could see his face. "You're so fucking amazing! Everything you do amazes me, everyday I think about how lucky I am to have someone like you! I don't give a shit about what anyone else says about you and neither should you! Because! ..Because." Taka stared at Mondos sparkles in his crimson eyes, Mondo could feel his heart rate escalate but he had already pushed himself into a corner to where he had to confess. "BECAUSE I LOVE YOU TAKA! I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU! FROM YOUR FACE TO YOUR PERSONALITY, I LOVE EVERYTHING!" Mondos eyes were screwed shut fear that Taka would reject him coursing throughout his entire body but that fear disappeared when..
Taka pressed his lips against Mondos, eyes closed and one of his hands cupping Mondos face. The bikers eyes shined in amazement, he quickly closed his eyes and kissed him back. The moment was tender and soft, the rain falling down on them as Mondo gently ran his fingers through Takas short hair. The two never wanted to pull away but they eventually had to when they ran out of breath. Taka smiled "I love you too Mondo..that..wasn't a joke was it?" Before Taka could even feel sad about the possibility Mondo spoke. "Hell no!! I love ya Taka!" Mondo threw himself at Taka once more knocking the two into the puddle below them, the two of them laughed. Mondo went to kiss him once more but the soaked pompadour hit Taka in the face. "Shit- sorry" Mondo pushed his hair back revealing a laughing Taka. His heart swelled at the sight, a dopey smile forming on his face. "Your pompadour is ruined" Taka said between laughs. "Hah. Hah. Hah. Give me a kiss Ishi" Mondo cupped his cheek then kissed his lips, Taka kissed back with a smile. "Does this mean we're?" Taka began, Mondo got off of him then grabbed his hand to lift him up. The biker rubbed Takas knuckles as he held his hands "Will you be my boyfriend Kiyotaka?"
