yoongi had taken a month to feel somewhat okay. he felt that he had finally reached a point where he felt like he could function.
even though he felt miserable everyday, things were getting better like seokjin said.
he had mixed feelings. he still felt horrible about being a useless father, he spent most his days trying to interact with minji but he usually ended up just sitting next to her in silence while watching a show.
it hurt him more than it should've, the last thing he wanted was for minji to feel detached from him. he was scared to lose his strong bond with his daughter.
the boy also tried to quit smoking but, as expected, he only ended up sobbing and shaking when seokjin said he couldn't have a cigarette.
he hated all this so much. everytime he thought of it, he cried until he couldn't no more.

he laid in bed, trying to find motivation to get up and make food for when minji came home. seokjin said he could take care of it but it only made him feel even shittier.
the boy sighed and got up, shivering when his feet made contact with the cold floor. he looked in the fridge and immediately felt unmotivated, he let out a distressed whined and sighed.
"hey yoon, what's up?" seokjin said, walking into the kitchen, "i want to make food but it looks overwhelming" he mumbled, seokjin hummed, "how about we do it together? baby steps yoongi" seokjin said, yoongi smiled a bit and nodded, "okay"

yoongi wasn't allowed to cut anything, seokjin was really strict about that and he honestly couldn't blame him.
"how have you been doing these days? you look a bit better" seokjin said, he noticed a difference in yoongi, he lived with yoongi but yoongi wasn't always honest.
"i feel okay for once" yoongi spoke, washing some vegetables that seokjin had asked him to wash. seokjin couldn't help but smile upon hearing that, "i'm glad, i just want you to be happy, yoongi" seokjin said, yoongi showed a small smile.
"what happened to namjoon?" seokjin asked, yoongi's eyes widened, "shit, i forgot to answer and it's been a month" he gasped, his heart beating as fast as it could.
"oh gosh yoongi" seokjin said, yoongi dashed to his room to get his phone and answer namjoon. poor boy.

seokjin grinned, "i hope he's a good one, when's the date?" seokjin said, he felt so happy for the boy. yoongi's deserved someone who cared and loved him, someone unlike donghyun.
"today" he said, seokjin smiled, "that's amazing, i'll help you get ready. sound good?" seokjin asked, yoongi nodded. this was his first date in years.

he politely sat down on the couch, glancing at namjoon who was grabbing drinks, "soda or juice? we're going to have fried chicken, i ordered delivery so it will be here soon" namjoon said from the kitchen, yoongi hummed, "anything is fine"
namjoon hummed, grabbing a soda for the boy. who drank juice with chicken anyway?
he handed yoongi the soda, yoongi smiled and opened it, taking a sip from it.
"what are your favorite movies?" namjoon asked, making eye contact with yoongi which instantly made yoongi look away.
"uh, i usually watch disney movies with minji, i don't really watch grown up ones because she's usually around me" he chuckled, namjoon let out a small laugh.
"you pick then, i'll watch anything you want to watch" namjoon smiled, yoongi felt his heart warm up, what was this feeling?
namjoon handed yoongi the remote control to yoongi once he heard a knock at the door. the food was here.
"you don't seem much of a talker" namjoon said, yoongi nodded, "i'm shy" he responded, namjoon smiled, he was so happy to be around yoongi.
he truly believed yoongi deserved the best, yoongi deserved nothing but good things in his life.
he put the chicken in the living room table, "you can grab a piece whenever you want to" namjoon said, yoongi nodded and reached out for a piece.
it tasted good and satisfied yoongi's taste buds, he smiled widely. namjoon had good taste in food.
namjoon turned off the lights, only the tv was producing light. yoongi liked this, a lot.
"your house is cold" yoongi shivered, pulling his knees to his chest, "why didn't you say so earlier?" namjoon said, yoongi shrugged, namjoon went to grab a blanket for the boy and made the a/c a bit warmer for yoongi.
yoongi placed the blanket on himself, a satisfied smile on his face. he loved namjoon's apartment, it was so comfortable.
namjoon wasn't paying attention to the movie, he was paying attention to yoongi. he loved how yoongi pouted his lips, his smile, his face, his everything.
'fuck it' he thought, sliding his hand into yoongi's, rubbing small circles on the boy's hand. yoongi tensed up a bit but let his hand be caressed by namjoon's. it felt..good? he didn't even know what he was feeling but one thing wss for sure. he felt happy.
the atmosphere was comfortable and nice, yoongi loved this. his eyes felt heavy, he began getting tired. before he knew it, he was asleep on namjoon's couch, curled up in a small ball with a blanket wrapped on top of him.
"yoongi" he whispered, not getting a response, "don't tell me you fell asleep" he frowned, he ruffled yoongi's soft hair and managed to get some movement from yoongi.
he smiled, yoongi was too cute. it was getting pretty late, it was almost 8. they had talked, ate, and watched the movie. he hummed as he thought of what to do.
he did have seokjin's number on minji's emergency contacts, seokjin could probably pick yoongi up.

"let's go to my bedroom, i promise my bed is much more comfy" he chuckled, yoongi stood up, namjoon's hand slipping into yoongi's as they walked.
yoongi loved this, he missed this so much. his brain went back to four years ago when he was with donghyun.
donghyun would hold his hand everywhere they went, buy him sweets on day's he had exams and always cuddle him afterwards as a way to tell him he did a good job.
he couldn't believe that donghyun threw everything away, he hated him so much but still couldn't let go.
"here's my bedroom, sorry it's a bit messy" he chuckled, yoongi looked around the room. it wasn't small but it wasn't big. the bed was simply white with some stuffed animals. the kumamon really caught yoongi's eye.
"the kumamon is so cute" yoongi smiled, sitting on the bed and putting the kunamon on his lap, caressing it with his fingers, "i know! i love it" he smiled, "though, i really prefer ryan" he said, yoongi hummed, laying down on the boy's bed.
"comfy bed" he smiled, namjoon laid down next to him, a small yawn leaving his lips, "it must be uncomfy to sleep in jeans. do you want some pajamas?" namjoon asked, yoongi shook his head, "i'm really tired" he mumbled, "ah, okay. goodnight!" namjoon smiled, turning off the light which made yoongi gasp.
"this is weird, i've slept with a nightlight for the past 3 years because of minji" he said, "fatherhood changed you" namjoon chuckled, yoongi let out a small laugh, "it did but it's okay" he smiled, "would you prefer to keep the light on?" namjoon asked, doing his best to accommodate yoongi, "whatever you prefer" yoongi said, curling back into a small position.
"actually, i'm not tired" yoongi said, sitting back up, "you were sleeping two seconds ago" namjoon said, yoongi hummed and shrugged, "why are you not going to sleep?" yoongi asked, namjoon's kumamon still in his arms.
"i have lesson plans to make" namjoon said, pulling out a thick binder from under his bed which made the boy gasp, "why is it so thick?" he asked, genuinely shocked at how big the binder was.
"i have 22 students. these are just lesson plans and the curriculum. i have 3 seperate binders" namjoon said, yoongi hummed, "why did you decide teaching?"
"i always wanted to be a teacher, i'm actually qualified to teach until 12th grade" namjoon smiled, yoongi raised a brow, "aren't you 25? how do you accomplish so much in so little time?" yoongi asked, namjoon was so smart, too smart.
"i started college at 16" namjoon said, yoongi groaned, "how?" he mumbled, throwing his head back on the white pillow, "i always took advanced classes" namjoon said, yoongi mentally rolled his eyes. did he just go on a date with a nerd? he jokingly asked himself.
"do my homework" he laughed, namjoon chuckled, "well, what's your major?" namjoon asked, "i'm majoring in advertising and media and minoring in business and photography" he said, namjoon gasped, "ah! i was going to major in business! i can do your business homework!" he smiled, yoongi chuckled and shook his head.
"i was kidding, do you like school or something?" yoongi asked, his eyes getting droopy again, "yes i do, i probably seem like a nerd" namjoon sighed, opening the thick binder on his lap, "it's cool how smart you are, i could never. i hardly remember my time tables" yoongi chuckled, "thanks yoongi, how about you get some rest? i'm not going asleep anytime soon"
