we were running around the track, it was hot as hell, and I was so out of breath. he finally stopped, and looked disappointed in me
dylan: what's the problem?! we always run together PERFECTLY FINE

I panted and squatted down, catching my breath
dylan: you're?
eli: on my- per-
dylan: OHHHH! makes sense, why didn't you tell me?! let's go sit down
he picked me up and walked over to a tree with shade. not many people were at the park that day, at least not on the running track
eli: I can walk by myself
dylan: yeah well, I already strained you enough
he sat me down and I laid on the grass, he came over to lay next to me
dylan: at least you're not pregnant!
he said as he propped himself up on one elbow to face me, I turn to him
eli: mf- im still a virgin!
dylan: I can change that
eli: yeah?
dylan: yes ma'am
eli: you can also warp yourself back to your house

I shook my head and he laughed at me

eli: HARD, she works my ass off everyday, like yeah I get that she's building me up to take over her hero agency one day but still, she acts like I don't have homework to do when I get home!

eli: yes, I can backtalk to my dad, but my mother... I don't play around with that woman
we spent about an hour at the park, talking about random things till it get cold and we decided to call it a day and he warped us to my house
eli: living alone is still weird to me
dylan: really? I got used to it already
eli: I mean like, it's not a bad weird but I find myself saying "look at this!" but then I remember no one else is here

eli: well it's not all that bad, I get to walk around the house butt naked

we took turns showering, he had most of his clothes here since he would always spend the night, and then we ended up watching a movie in the living room
2 weeks later~
dylan was over, again, we were almost falling asleep until my phone rang
dylan: who is it..
he said, still half asleep
eli: one of my co-workers
he buried his face in my chest

sam: hey, arely! listen, i'm going to need an extension on the papers due tomorrow, can you talk to your mom-
eli: I already gave you two extra days
sam: it's just, my girlfriend has been really stressed out about work and she wants to have a date night tonight, so.. can you please put in a word for me..?
eli: yeah, no that's not gonna work
sam: things at her job have been real hectic for her and-
eli: I do not care. i honestly couldn't care less. i'm stressed as well due to YOUR incapability of turning your shit in on time.
sam: arely-
eli: i've gotten in trouble multiple times because of you already, sam. I don't want anymore fucking excuses from you.
sam: my relationship is on the line here
eli: no no, your JOB is on the line here.
sam: ...
eli: tell your girlfriend to take a fucking nap or some shit. if I don't have those papers on my desk by 9 am tomorrow, you're fired.
sam: ...
eli: am I clear.
sam: y-yes... I apologize.. i'll have them on your desk by tomorrow morning..
I hung up the phone and placed it on the coffee table.
dylan: this is the second time you've scolded sam this week
eli: he's so irresponsible, then danielle scolds ME for it
dylan: doesn't sound so bad
eli: you wanna get yelled at by her?

I stared at him and then laid back down, closing my eyes

I pulled the blanket up, covering my face. he lifted it up and came under with me
dylan: I wouldn't want anyone else but you
he kissed me, slowly. he started kissing me neck, ever so gently that it almost tickled. his soft lips up against my skin, his hands exploring my body. he took his shirt off and then slowly started taking mine off. he trailed his kissed down my chest then undid his jeans but I stopped him.
eli: wait... I.. I don't want to..
we both sat up, he nodded and then put his shirt back on. we've tried this, so many times, but every time we're about to do it, I get this uncertainty in me.
eli: im sorry..again..
dylan: it's..fine
he always says it's fine, I know deep down it isn't though. he got up and went over to look out the window
dylan: eli...
eli: hm..
dylan: do you.. not want to do it.. with me?
he sounded sad, it hurt me, really
eli: of course I do! I just... i'm not ready yet..
dylan: we've been together for a year.. and we still haven't done anything..
eli: ...
dylan: im not saying a relationship is based off of having sex.. but it's a big factor.. isn't it?

dylan: ..I better get going, I have work tomorrow..

I felt like I was on repeat, all I said was "yeah" but.. what else is there to say? he came over to give me a kiss on the forehead and then warped back to his house. I sat there in silence, what is wrong with me?

the next morning I decided to sleep in, I couldn't get the conversation out of my head and didn't even want to get out of bed. I heard my door bell ring so I checked my front door camera, it was kayla. I texted her and told her to come in. I heard her walk in and towards my room
kayla: damn bitch, can't even get up to go greet me?! I hate you
she flopped in bed with me and hugged me
kayla: ...what's wrong?
eli: hm? nothing, just tired from work
kayla: you're still a bad liar, what happened
eli: ...dylan and I tried again last night
kayla: uhu
eli: and.. it ended like always..
kayla: oh, girl don't feel bad about that! dylan can wait, if you're not ready, then you're not ready, that's perfectly fine! don't worry about it, babes!
eli: thats what he said too but..
kayla: but?
eli: I know it bothers him.. he just doesn't want to make me feel bad..

eli: of course I do.. i'm just not mentally ready I guess.. it's pathetic to be honest

kayla: let's go to a party tonight, all of us. you, me, andy, and dylan! maybe after a fun night, it'll get you in the mood!
eli: so like.. get drunk?

she pointed at me and I chuckled
eli: I know that! you gave the wrong impression though
kayla: right... sorry hehe.. anyways, you just need to loosen up a bit, then if and ONLY IF you're ready, you give me the signal and you guys can come back to your place!

kayla: come on! it's a friday! my friends friend is hosting a party!

we got up and walked over to the kitchen, I was making some eggs and toast while she was off texting andy and dylan in the groupchat. she managed to get them on board and soon enough I was taking a shower, while kayla was picking out my "sexiest underwear" she left the room and I changed.
kayla: you are looking mighty fine!
eli: look at YOU though! when did you change clothes?!
kayla: girl I always have a change of clothes in my car, for every occasion

she grabbed my hand and danced her way to the door, opening it only to see

I hugged him again and closed my eyes, even if it was a dream, I didn't want to wake up.
kayla: perfect timing! you're coming to the party with us!

kayla: yes, party, let's go
kairi: but I just got here-

she pushed us both out of the door and we got in her car. we picked up dylan and andy, they had their bromance reunion with kairi and we were off to the party. we got there and things were already pretty loud, we danced for the most part, I didn't drink because... that doesn't go very well. kairi didn't drink either. on the other hand, kayla, andy and dylan were taking shots.
kairi: it smells like sweat in here!
he leaned over to tell me, over the loud music
eli: let's go outside!
we walked out back to the pool area and sat down on the grass catching eachother up.
