y/n: and your dad was bright red and he had this rose in hand and he goes- HAHAHA HE GOES- "tienes cara de burro, mi amor"

(translation: you have the face of a donkey, my love)

bakugo: I DIDNT KNOW WHAT IT MEANT!
y/n: your uncle, denki, and sero were just laughing their fucking asses off outside my dorm and your dad was still leaning in for a kiss-
eli: BAHAHAHA
bakugo: I HATE YOU BOTH, I SHOULD'VE KILLED SERO FOR THAT
eli: sero is the homie for that
bakugo: your mother acted like it was perfectly fine too which made it worse!
eli: why
bakugo: BECAUSE I KEPT SAYING IT FOR THAT WHOLE WEEK

I spit out the water I had and tried to control my laughter. after a while of talking I started thinking about how I really thought kairi was "the one" when we were still friends, now I wasn't too sure

eli: so uh.. how did you know mom was the one..

my parents looked at each other and then looked at me in shock, my dad almost choked on his food

bakugo: well-

he cleared his throat

bakugo: um.. to be honest I didn't think she would be the one
y/n: WHAT

my dad laughed

bakugo: i'm kidding!

he looked back at me

bakugo: she was someone who would always make me feel accepted, she made me feel things that I didn't even know about, I was always happy when she was around no matter what she was doing. whether it be talking about something she really likes, laughing at random things, even just sitting next to her made me feel like I was on top of the world. she pushed me to become the best version of myself and when we first kissed, it felt surreal. I was always thinking of her, I told myself i would do anything for her — that's when I knew I was in love with her, and wanted to be with her for the rest of my life.

bakugo: SHUT UP
y/n: I love you
bakugo: I love you too, dumbass

I asked for some clarity on my feelings, but now i was just more confused than ever. kairi couldn't be the one, could he? he left me, with no hesitation, so how could he be the one..

y/n: why do you ask, have someone in mind?
eli: HUH?! UH- N-NO! WHAT ARE YOU EVEN SAYING! I-I WAS JUST CURIOUS IS ALL!

my face felt hot and my parents laughed at me

y/n: you really are your fathers daughter

my dad chuckled and we continued eating. my dad was washing the dishes while my mom and I cleared the table. the whole time I just kept thinking about what my dad said, I really didn't want kairi to be the one, because deep down I knew that if I convinced myself he was the one — all the time it took me to get over him would just go to shit, and I would be back to square one. then again, even thinking about it was just me going back a step.

bakugo: eli!

he shouted from the kitchen

eli: yeah?
bakugo: choose a movie!
eli: you sure?
bakugo: yes! ...j-JUST NOT A SCARY ONE

I smug smiled grew on my face and my mom laughed

y/n: you evil child
eli: my uncle told me you guys used to put on scary movies just to see his reaction
y/n: well, his reactions are kinda the best part

I laughed and went into the he living room to choose a movie. my mom ended up falling asleep through half of it and my dad was trying so hard not to seem scared which was super funny to watch. my dad wanted to carry my mom upstairs but she woke up

y/n: no no, i'll go myself
bakugo: what? why?
y/n: you can't carry me
bakugo: what are you saying? of course I can

he picked my mom up bride style

bakugo: see? light as a feather

he gave my mom a kiss on her cheek and he carried her up stairs.

bakugo: wake us up when you have to go, kay?

he said from across the hall. I nodded and went to my room, flopping on my bed.

eli: stop thinking about him.. tomorrow you go off to new york and you're gonna have fun with your friends. leave these thoughts behind... at least for the time at new york.

I covered my face and ended up falling asleep. though, I had forgotten to put an alarm on for the next morning and if it weren't for andy calling me, I wouldn't have woken up

6:00 am

eli: MOM! MOMMY!

I busted through their door and abruptly woke them up

y/n: HUH?! WHAT?! ARE YOU OKAY?!
eli: NO I FORGOT TO WAKE UP! THE BUS IS ABOUT TO LEAVE! CAN YOU PLEASE TELEPORT ME!
y/n: OH! Y-YEAH GRAB ON

she got up and grabbed my hand

bakugo: W-WAIT CHANGE INTO SOME DAMN CLOTHES FIRST!

she was in spandex and a tank top, my dad threw a pair of his sweats at her and his hoodie

eli: i'm missing something... MY SUITCASE. DAD GIVE ME YOUR KEYES

he thew the car keys at me and I ran downstairs almost falling and opened the back to get my suitcase out and ran back upstairs to my room

eli: charger.. WHERE IS MY CHARGER- oh here it is

I threw it in my suitcase and ran to brush my teeth and tie up my hair really quick. I was in sweats and a hoodie as well and my mom ran into my room

y/n: you ready?
eli: uhhh yes I think so
bakugo: have a safe flight, baby, I love you
eli: I love you too!

I gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek and my mother teleported me to school

eli: bye ma, I love you!
y/n: I love you too! behave yourself!

I gave her a hug and a smooch and she left

andy: eli! over here!
dylan: hurry!
eli: ah, sorry!

I ran towards them and checked in with my home room teacher.
