Requested by christinaxolivia: One day, Tom is flicking through movies and trying to decide what to watch when he comes across a movie that Y/N is in. He recognises her immediately as they used to be friends when they were younger, but they drifted apart when both of their acting careers took off. He watches a few more of her movies and completely falls for her before they get reunited at an awards show.
Tom's P.O.V
Tom sat on his parents' sofa, his thumb clicking the remote's button and making the channels flick by aimlessly as he looked for something to watch. He puffed out as there wasn't really anything peaking his interest. Suddenly, he stopped on one movie, his eyes widening slightly as he immediately recognised the main actress.
"No way." he mumbled to himself, his eyes squinting and his eyebrows furrowing as he sat forward to get a closer look. His eyes widened. It had to be her, surely. He looked over the back of the sofa as his mum walked in.
"Mum, am I being stupid, or is that Y/N Y/L/N?" he scoffed, making her look at the screen too.
"No, that's her, did you not know? She's a big actor too now. You weren't the only one in the neighbourhood who could act, apparently." she chuckled before leaving the room again. Tom smiled and bit his lip as he looked back at the screen, back at Y/N. Wow. She looked good. Tom and his brothers had grown up just down the street from Y/N's family, meaning that he had always played with the beautiful girl when they were younger. They had actually grown to be really close, best friends, even, with Tom always harbouring a secret crush for her. But then high school had come, and Tom had started to see his future in acting. His career had taken off and he hadn't really heard from her since, which was painfully evident from the fact that he didn't even know that she was also in movies. He sat back and continued to watch, his lips seemingly plastered into a small smile as he watched. Y/N's character laughed and shook her head, the sound like pure music to Tom's ears. If he was honest, it always had been, but this was just something else. He was slightly shocked at how much she'd grown up. Tom had always found her beautiful, but when they were younger, she was the type of beautiful that just gave him a giddy little crush that he knew that he'd never have the confidence to pursue. But how she looked on screen now was far beyond that. Her hair was curled perfectly around her shoulders, the lights behind the cameras bouncing stunningly off of her eyes and making the colour in them just look perfect. Not to mention her body. In the movie, she was clad in a gorgeous red dress that swept along the floor and had a slit up the leg, allowing Tom to see halfway up her thigh. And fuck, did she look breathtaking. He chuckled at something funny that her character said, his body relaxing against the sofa as he continued to watch the movie, his heart already starting to fall for the girl as his eyes remained glued to her.
Tom's eyes clung to the TV, his mind mesmerized by the really fucking sexy image of Y/N playing a spy in the fifth movie of hers that he'd watched that day. To say that he was whipped already was an understatement.
"Tom?" he looked over the back of the sofa, his eyebrows furrowing as Sam and Harry walked into the room.
"What are you two doing here, aren't you meant to be at uni?" he scoffed.
"Mate, it's five-thirty." Sam chuckled. Tom's eyes widened and he grabbed his phone to look at the time.
"Fuck, I completely lost track of time." he shook his head.
"What were you doing all day?" Harry asked.
"Literally nothing. I've just been watching Y/N's movies all day." he shrugged. His eyebrows furrowed as Sam groaned and Harry smirked.
"What's going on?" he scoffed.
"We made a bet as to how long it'd take you to realise that she's also in movies now. Sam reckoned six months. It's only been four. He owes me a tenner." Harry chuckled. Tom rolled his eyes at his brothers and turned back to the TV before turning the movie back on.
Y/N's P.O.V
I climbed out of the car, a smile immediately forming on my lips as the camera flashes blinded me. But that's what I lived for. I put my hand on my hip and sauntered along the red carpet, my midnight blue dress sweeping the ground as I walked.
"Y/N, GIVE US A SMILE!"
"LOOKING GORGEOUS TONIGHT, Y/N!"
"YOU EXCITED TO BE HERE, Y/N?!"
"Of course." I chuckled at the last question before walking to the interview bit.
"Y/N! How are you doing, you look stunning!" Jess laughed, the microphone held to her mouth as we hugged.
"I'm great, you look gorgeous too! Who are you with tonight?" I asked.
"Sky News. Say hi to all of our viewers." she chuckled as she gestured to the cameraman standing beside her.
"Hey, everyone." I smiled and waved at the camera.
"So, here we are, at the Oscars, and I believe that you'd been nominated for 'best leading actress' in your most recent movie." she stated, making me bite my lip and nod along.
"Yeah, it's insane. I never thought that when I started acting, I'd be standing here now. It's a real honour to be considered a big enough name to be nominated for an Oscar." I smiled.
"I bet that it is! Do you recognise any other faces here?" she asked. I bit my lip and looked around.
"A few, yeah. I've worked with Scarlett, with RDJ, I've worked with Tom Hanks-."
"I bet that she'll recognise me, Jess." my eyes widened as a familiar voice sounded behind me and a pair of hands were placed on my waist. I turned around, my eyes widening further and my heart jumping as Tom Holland stood there, a smile on his lips as he looked at me.
"Tom, oh my god!" I exclaimed, making him laugh as I tightly hugged him.
"It's been far too long, darling." he mumbled into my ear, making me smile and bite my lip as he placed a kiss on my cheek before I pulled away.
"I take it that you two know each other?" Jess chuckled.
"Oh, yeah, we go way back." Tom nodded as he hooked his arm around my waist and pulled me into his body. Not that I at all minded. After all, I'd had a massive crush on the boy that used to be my best friend, and so it broke me when we had lost contact in order to pursue our acting careers. But now he was standing next to me, with his arm holding my waist into him. And fuck did he look good.
"We actually grew up on the same street. We used to play together all of the time, but we haven't really talked since both of our careers took off." I nodded, making Tom sigh and give me a small smile as we looked at each other.
"Well, I think that this is the perfect reunion!" Jess laughed, making us smile and nod.
"We better head in, but it was lovely talking to you as always, Jess." I smiled.
"The same goes for you too, enjoy the awards." she chuckled.
"Thank you." Tom nodded before I took his hand and pulled him away from Jess. My eyes widened and I looked at him, making him smirk as we stepped to the side.
"I can't believe that it's actually you!" I squealed, him laughing and nodding as we tightly hugged again.
"I know, it's incredible. I was really hoping that I'd see you here, I haven't been able to stop watching your movies recently." he admitted. My eyes widened slightly at his words.
"You're not saying that you're a fan of me, Tom." I scoffed.
"That's exactly what I'm saying. I'd even go as far as to admit that I've fallen for you all over again through watching your movies." he confessed with a nod. I looked at him with wide eyes, my heart almost thumping out of my chest at his words. Not only had Tom just admitted to being a fan of me, he'd admitted to being in love with me too. This was perfect.
"I feel the same way, Tom. I always have if I'm being honest." I nodded, a laugh leaving my lips as he breathed a sigh of relief and held his hand to his chest.
"In that case, can I take you out sometime? I'd love to explore this more." he smiled.
"Sure, Tommy. I'd love that." I replied. His smile widened and he bit his lip, making me return it as he gently took my hand and intertwined our fingers before leading me into the venue for the Oscars.
