Since the ages of ten and five, Selene Vervain and Remus Lupin were cursed with lycanthropy, and for the rest of their lives, once a month, they would suffer the agonizing pain of transforming into the versions of themselves that they were painfully ashamed of.
Both, however, continued their lives as teens, attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, both unaware that they were not the only werewolf in school.
Selene Vervain didn't exactly have anyone, apart from her parents. And that was that.
Remus Lupin did have someone. He had four "someones", who, since their fifth year, were there for every one of the full moons, that would loom over Remus Lupin till the day he died.
Selene Vervain and Remus Lupin had never really spoken - they were different in so many ways, and yet so similar in a form that they were both so humiliated by.
Their sixth year at Hogwarts school bought tonnes of homework, visits to the Shrieking Shack and Selene's isolated cave, and scars they could only try to hide. Professor Albus Dumbledore decided it best if the two students of the same species were kept apart - locked in separate locations, and told they were the only one of their kind on campus. And yet, familiar screams and yells from across the moors, made Selene and Remus begin to 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠.
