Ni-ki's at his apartment feeling gloomy . Jay had forced him to have a day off because it's his birthday . Yes , it's his birthday but he felt empty .
His nana had greeted him before she went to the market to work but she never forgets to make him a seaweed soup for his birthday .
Sunoo and Jungwon were at his apartment but are busy making him a personalized cake . Ni-ki told them just to buy a cheap cake but they insisted to bake it for him instead because it'll be more special if they do it themselves . ' They just won't admit that they love hanging around my place because it's quiet ' Ni-ki said in his mind while listening at them bicker at something he doesn't know .
" it's our birthday Shai , I hope you'll remember me " he let out a sigh
He heard his phone notified with a 'ting!' sound .. He opened it to see who texted him and it was from Hae Jin .
" Happy birthday my babiee Ni-ki ! Please come at the cafe now .. we have a gift for you . If you want , you can bring Jungwon and Sunoo with you . We'll wait for you here and don't be a stubborn child . You should get ready now ."
He smiled at the text . He and Hae Jin got closer now and he wouldn't deny that the girl is such a sweetheart . She always take care of him like a real mom . Maybe she was got influenced by Jay who acted like a dad to him , but he wouldn't complain .. He loves how they all cared for him .
" hyungs , are you done baking ? Hae Jin wants us to come at the cafe " He said loud for the both older boys to hear him then Sunoo answered him back
" Just a moment bub , we're almost done . Jungwon's just designing it "
Ni-ki went to them to check what they are doing . If it's okay to eat it or not . He wouldn't risk his own tummy just to be poisoned by them .
" Is it edible ?" He asked jokingly while looking at the purple cake that Jungwon was designing . He's sticking his tongue out trying to concentrate in making a perfect smiley drawing on the cake but failed because he was too clumsy that he accidentally smudged the edge of the head. And it's an adorable sight to see for Ni-ki even the older was now frustrated at his own work
Sunoo on the other hand was writing something on the cake and Ni-ki leaned closer to see what is it and it says ; 'Please shine always , we love you ' with a little heart at the end . 'How cute' he whispered
" Should we bring this to the cafe ?" He excitedly asked at them . He's proud to show off his hyungs' cake made for him .
Sunoo looked at Jungwon trying to ask if it's okay with him because they're not quite confident at the outcome of their work .
" Gosh hyungs , it's okay .. It's the best birthday cake I've ever had . Thank you!" he grabbed the two males by their shoulders and moved them closer to him .
" Aww .. really ? You're welcome Ni-ki " Jungwon said smiling with his adorable dimples
" Then we should pack it now .. I had a box here " Sunoo said while opening a box . He was kinda prepared .. I mean , he's always prepared
The three of them went to the cafe using Sunoo's car .
Hae Jin and Jay welcomed them with a smile when they arrived .
" Happy birthday munchkin !" the both of them cheered for the celebrant
" Why are you giving me multiple nicknames ? Can't you just call me by Ni-ki ?" he said annoyed by the new pet name he received
" Okay love .. we will " Jay said chuckling but Hae Jin just slapped his shoulders lightly
" Stop teasing my babiee " she defended Ni-ki but Ni-ki had enough of them and left them outside the shop . Hae Jin had became worst than Jay . She's the most cringey girl he ever knew .
When he entered following Sunoo and Jungwon , he saw Sunghoon sitting at the first vacant table near the entrance . Well , Jay had closed the cafe just to celebrate Ni-ki's birthday .
" Ni-ki , my boy ! Happy birthday !" Sunghoon cheered for him . Ni-ki went to him and do a fist bump .
" Thanks hyung "
Sunghoon looked at him then smiled . Jay and Hae Jin entered and the three of them nodded at each other then Sunghoon pushed a box in front of him that Ni-ki thought it's his gift for him . He opened it and was confused because it's all letters . He picked one and read the back portion of it to make sure it was for him . But he raised his eyebrows when he saw Jake's address and name on it . He confusedly asked Sunghoon .
" Hyung , it's for Jake hyung " He thought Sunghoon had mistaken
" Nope , read carefully .. " Sunghoon just answered , then Jay came closer to him
Ni-ki reads it again and looked at the bottom part of it and there's a cute note , 'To Riki' .. He gasped . He opened it immediately and reads it . He collapsed on the floor while reading it knowing it was from Shaira . He begin to cry .
Jay just patted his shoulders to calm him down . The rest just gave him an apologetic look .. All of them knew about this but just kept quiet because they had planned to give it to him on his birthday and explain everything to him .
" Shaira had supposedly given me this years ago but why is it that I just received it now ? " He asked still sobbing
" Jake hid it from all of us Ni-ki .. but-" Jay was cutted by Ni-ki who kicked the chair by his feet
" But what hyung ? Are you gonna cover him up ? How dare him hide this from me ? He knew how I longed for Shaira all these years and now , I found out that she keeps sending letters to me ? " He shouted out of anger . He doesn't now what to do know . He scratched his hair in frustration
" Listen to me kid .. yes Jake hid it to you . We just knew it also . Sunghoon accidentally found it on his apartment , he confronted him for that .. Even Heeseung hyung . He went there straight to Australia just to confront him . He acted tough at first .. he was hard headed . But he now realized he was wrong . And he felt sorry for everything . " Jay explained to him but Ni-ki just furiously looked at him then to Sunghoon
" I don't know what to think about this hyung but why did he do that ? All this time he knew where Shaira is and he didn't let me know .. I thought we were friends" Ni-ki said but Jay just looked at him and Sunghoon answered him
" Jake was inlove with Shaira .. He just did it because he loves her . " Ni-ki stared at him blankly
" What?! He.. loves her?" he stuttered
" Yes .. he's in love with her even before you and Shaira met but he chose to keep silent " Ni-ki just remained silent knowing Sunghoon still has more to say
" And he even had a deal with Hae Jin before .. to befriend you and make you fall inlove just for him to tell Shaira that you had moved on . But as you know , you're the one who approached Hae Jin to be your friend and also Hae Jin didn't even try to make you fall for her and made Jay fall for her instead . He and Min Jooyun planned to force Shaira to be married to him but Heeseung hyung made him realized that he was doing wrong . He was now regretting all the things he had done to you and Shaira "
Ni-ki was mad right now .. but he can't be totally mad a Jake , maybe a little .. he was really mad at the situation actually . Jake had been his reliable hyung and he can't be disheartened with him but he had done wrong . He was just tired of hating a person again . He had enough of Min Jooyun that caused him to lose the one he loves .. He's afraid that he'll lose someone again if he let his heart to hate again .
"Where's Jake hyung now ?" He just asked , not knowing what to say anymore
" Australia .. Are you going there ?"Sunghoon asked him back
"Nope .. I'm just checking . " They were all confused at Ni-ki . He was so mad earlier but now , all the dark aura in him had vanished .. what exactly had happened ?
"Ni-ki , are you okay ?" Hae Jin asked worriedly
" Not really .. but it's my birthday today . I think we should have fun ?" he said unsure .. trying to wipe some tear stain in his face
" Ni-ki I'm worried .. Are you really okay ? It's not normal for you to change your emotions this quick . Have you gone insane ?" Sunoo asked the younger but Ni-ki smiled at him
" I'll deal with him after my birthday hyung .. and I'm not that mad actually . At first of course I was but Sunghoon hyung said he regretted it now . I'll just wait for him to apologize " He answered him honestly
" You should be mad at him Ni-ki " Hae Jin said almost in a scolding voice . She couldn't believe why Ni-ki is acting so oddly . It's not how normal people reacts
" I can't hate him totally .. because the last time I hated someone , I also lose someone dear to me . And I can't afford to lose someone again " He just told them and all of them gets what he means . They understand where he was coming from .
They just let him be . And do what he wants .. to enjoy because it's his birthday .
Sunoo and Jungwon's home made cake was placed at the center of the table by Ni-ki's order of course .. even Jay had bought him an elegant looking cake .. also costumized because it had a mini version of him on it , a mini dancing shoes , a soccer ball on the side and some things that Ni-ki likes but that brat chose the home made cake instead because he said it's made out of love that Jay accepted that he was defeated by a smiley and a little note decorated on the cake . Hae Jin just ruffled Jay's hair and whispered 'we can just go simple next year love ' and a little giggles after .
All of them had enjoyed their mini celebration and forget about what had happened just for today . They could just talk about it tomorrow or the next day because they also want Ni-ki to enjoy his birthday .
They were busy singing on a videoke when the door bell chimes indicating that someone had opened it . Ni-ki was confused because it's clearly announced at the wide board outside that they're close for today . All of them were excited and Ni-ki the only one who's confused .
All of them anticipating the entrance of the person they were waiting . Their surprise gift for Ni-ki .
Ni-ki waited for that someone to enter . He stood up from his seat when he finally saw who's entering .. it was Shaira .
Both of them just stood at their place and stared at each other's eyes .
All of them just looked at Ni-ki who's starting to walk closer to her . When Shaira dropped her bags and run to meet Ni-ki .
They hugged tightly .. enjoying the moment thinking maybe it was just a dream and by the moment they'll opened their eyes , all of this vanishes .
" Are you really coming back to me ?" He asked as he released his tears
" Yes Riki .. I came back for you " she said also in tears ..
The both of them couldn't get away from each other instead they just hugged tighter not wanting to release sooner .
After a few moment , Ni-ki released from the hug and glanced at her face .. wiping some tears from he eyes . It's been so long since he last hold her in his arms . The both of them really missed this moment.
" How about your dad ?" Ni-ki asked her
" I escaped from him .. Jake helped me and Heeseung oppa and the rest of the guys " she explained . Smiling at them at their back
" Why what happened ?" He asked worriedly .. He let's Shaira sit in a vacant chair near them and wait for her to answer
" He desperately wanted me to marry Jake .. but Jake already had turn down their plan . He just acted like he was still doing it just for me to escape . Dad had gone insane . And maybe by now , he already knew I was missing because it's our wedding day today " she told him
" What are going to do now ? He would follow you here for sure "
" Don't worry Ni-ki , we already had a plan for that . Shaira would stay with Hae Jin for the time being then will stay at one of Sunoo's rest house from time to time to not get caught . We could just pretend we haven't seen her " Jay explained to him . They all knew it already and agreed to it . It is just Ni-ki who is clueless .
" okay then ? She can't hide forever hyung " Ni-ki said to Jay who's now at his phone .
"this plan is just for the time being .. we'll come up another one if this won't work. Wait , Heeseung just texted "
"Jay .. Jooyun already knew . This is bad . He deployed his men there to search for Shaira . You must leave the cafe now or let her leave with Hae Jin so no one would suspect you that you're with her . I'm deleting this message after I sent it . Don't reply . Also Jake's now anxious about Shaira . I hope you'll take care of her . "
Jay reads it out loud for everyone to hear . And they were all scared of what will happen next . Jay instructed Hae Jin to bring Shaira with her .
"Please call me if you've arrive .. or something might happen " Ni-ki said to Shaira then looked at Hae Jin because she's the only one who have a contact with him .
"Okay .. let's go now Shai , we have to hurry " both of them went to Hae Jin's hometown before they moved to Seoul .. in Busan . Her mom and brother were left at her apartment in Seoul because she doesn't want them to get involved by this .
After few hours riding on a train , they arrived at a small house by the sea . They will stay there for now before transferring to Sunoo's at Daegu .
Hae Jin gave the phone to Shaira to let her text Ni-ki . She can't risk to call because what if her dad's men were near him . She opened the message inbox and was shocked at the last text were Hae Jin called Ni-ki , babiee .. She looked at Hae Jin with raised eyebrows but the girl understood it and explained everything to her that it was just an endearment for him because he sees him as her child and she's Jay's girlfriend .
After that , she finally texted Ni-ki that they're okay .. using the endearment Hae jin used not to make any hints if his phone got confiscated by someone . But Ni-ki called her instead and Hae Jin answered it first to make sure . It is really him . They talked for a while .. after they ended it , Ni-ki deleted the traces of Hae jin's call for that day also the last text .. and leave the previous where she greeted him a happy birthday .
The two of them stay there for almost a week with Ni-ki and Jay visiting them secretly mostly at night where no one would see them .
This day is when they'll transfer to Daegu to hide again .
They just commuted to avoid those men searching for them .
They were on a taxi when they noticed a black tinted car following them . They were nervous because they knew who's that car . They had been tailed .
They paid the taxi driver double just to escape them . But ended up having a race on the road .
Jay and Ni-ki was also following them to make sure they're okay but they saw a car following the taxi where the girls are riding . So Jay called his dad for back up and Ni-ki also called Sunghoon .. he knew what to do . They keep tailing the two cars until they reached a zigzag road . The two girls were so afraid and crying plus the taxi driver was cursing them because he was involved with their trouble . Now he has to drive fast for his dear life .
Jay was bumping the black car to stop it from following the taxi but it keeps following them . So he had no other choice but to grab his gun . It was licensed so it's okay . Ni-ki looked at him unsure what to feel .
Jay pointed his gun to the wheels of the black car . If he'll shoot it , it has a chance to lose it's balance and fell off the cliff but it'll also had a chance to crash to the taxi before them so he was not sure if he'll do it or not . So he asked Ni-ki.
"Should I shoot them ? But what if they'll crash at the taxi .. the girls might fell off the cliff also " Ni-ki thinks on what to do
"Shoot them when they're far from the taxi hyung " Ni-ki answered
So they waited for the taxi to widen it's gap from the black car then Jay shooted two of their tires . The black car wiggled it's way while still going forward . Jay thought their plan worked when the black car hit the back of the taxi . The taxi hobbled while the black car fell on the cliff . Minutes after , the taxi also fell off the cliff .
Jay cursed loudly as he saw how the taxi fell . Ni-ki was almost jumping out the car but Jay stopped him . It's dangerous since the road was so narrow .
Ni-ki couldn't believe that this is happening . Is it destiny doesn't want them to be together ? How rude it is .
Jay parked his car when they passed through the zigzag road then went out . He was anxious because his dad's men aren't there yet . He even called someone from the government just to help them rescue Shaira and Hae Jin .
An hour had passed and they rescued the girls but they were unconscious so they were sent to the nearest hospital together with the taxi driver . The men in the black car died .

A month passed by and Shaira was still in coma though Hae Jin had waken up but had her legs was injured . Jake and Heeseung had came back also after they heard about Shaira and keep blaming Jooyun for everything .
The said old man repented all his sins but what can he do now ? Shaira was still not waking up .
Ni-ki is now believing that the universe was so unfair that they didn't want them to be together .
They once got separated , he couldn't take it anymore if Shaira would leave him again .. for good . But there's still hope in him that the girl will wake up .
He was caressing Shaira's hands when her fingers moved . So he called the nurses and doctors to check on her .
When he came back , Shaira had waken up and smiled at him before closing her eyes again .

also the title end- .. it was supposed to be endhypen but I changed it to end- because it's a bit off lol .. just saying :)
I hope you still enjoyed it even it's not that good for an ending .. Actually I don't know how to end this haha ! So I just write whatever comes to my mind while writing it ..
