He is now at Min's residence to finally talk to Shaira's father . He was now losing hope on pursuing Shaira ..
" Don't give up yet Jake .. She'll eventually love you as the time passes by . You just have to stick to our plan " He firmly responded
Jake looked at the man who's lying on his bed . He wanted Shaira to be his but he doesn't want to force her . She will hate him for the rest of their lives if that happens . And he doesn't want that . Now that Shaira was angry at him because of what he hath done , he was sure she would be angrier if he'll force her to do this .
" I believe you can't force love uncle . And I had proven it in Shaira . She's still inlove with Ni-ki .. I give up " Jake said lowering his head
" No ! You have to marry my daughter and that's final ." he sternly said as if he's the father of Jake that would just order him and he'll do it .. But Jake had enough of him and just wanted to go home
" I don't know if I could still do this .. I'll just go home for now " he said and leave the man even though he hasn't answered him . It's bothering him why is it Jooyun was so eager to let him marry Shaira even he knew that Jake had given up
As he opened the door , he saw Shaira leaning on it and almost fell .. Shaira's eyes widened when she saw Jake in front of her
" Shai .. " He said first .. he was sure the girl had heard everything
" What do you mean by force marriage Jake ? Are you both planning for us to be married ?" She asked Jake who can't find the answers to her questions . She shouldn't know about this
" umm .. Shai , I'm sorry but-" he said in a few stutters but cutted off by her slap .
" How dare you Jake .. You are my best friend yet you planned something you know I wouldn't like ? How insensitive are you ?" She scolded .. He felt hurt . Not because of the slap but because she just indirectly said that she didn't want to be with him .
" I'm so sorry Shai .. I had given up but your dad was still convincing me to do it " He honestly said
" I don't know if I could still trust you Jake after all you had done to me and Ni-ki . I thought you're an angel but I'm wrong .. "
" I'm really sorry if I had caused you pain , Shai .. I just love you so much that I had to do it " He tried to hold the girl's hand but she just moved it away from him
" You know Jake , if you really love me .. you should give my happiness and that happens when I'm with Ni-ki .. I don't know if that's really love or obsession but you have to stop " her words were like a knife stabbed in his heart. Sure he was hurt by it but he didn't want his feelings to control him once again . " And please stay out of my sight .. I'm still mad at you " She added
He doesn't want the girl to be angrier at him so he just went home lowering his shoulders and head like he was defeated .

Heeseung was so bothered at Jake .. and he can't just stay still and let Jake be mad at them so he decided to go to his house to talk to him even though he's not sure if Jake would face him this time . He gathered all his guts to talk to his friend again .
As he was about to knock , he was surprised by Jake who opened the door .
" Jake.. " he said unsure on what to feel at the moment when he saw Jake's apologetic eyes
" hyung .. umm , I was about to meet you today actually .. to say sorry .. I didn't mean to-" He was cutted by Heeseung who hugged him tight . He didn't hesitated to hug back his older friend it felt comfortable to finally settling things .
" it's okay Jake .. you're just hurt , it's okay " he caressed Jake's back slowly patting it to reassure him that it's really okay
Heeseung released from the hug first and hold Jake on both of his shoulders . He smiled at the younger .
" Can we talk ? I mean inside ?" He asked
" Of course hyung .. come in" he guided him to their living room . Once they was seated , Heeseung cleared his throat before starting the conversation . Jake just looked at him allowing him to speak first
"I know you're not okay , and I don't came here to confront you again and make you feel that I'm insensitive or hurt you and invalidating your feelings but you have to know that you're wrong this time Jake .. "
" You just have to understand the whole point Jake , I'm sorry to say this but .. Shaira doesn't love you because she still loves Ni-ki and Ni-ki does too . You don't have to push yourself to her just to fullfil your dreams of having her in your life . You still have her tho , but as a best friend and not a lover . "
Heeseung could sense that Jake was so hurt by just listening to him . Well , sometimes the truth hurts . Jake's so good at hiding his feelings but this time he failed . He was at the verge of tears . The older just patted his shoulders .
"It's okay to cry when you're hurt Jake .. I'm just here to comfort you "
And by that , he cried .
He sobbed uncontrollably as emotions engulfed in him . He covers his face with his hands as he pours his tears . Heeseung hugged the shaking male . Heeseung just let him cry for a moment before he starts to speak .
"You know hyung , Ni-ki even messaged me last night and I felt guilty after I read it " he said with a little sobs in between .. He fetch his phone on the pocket of his trousers
Jake offered his phone for Heeseung to look at the message .
" hi hyung ! Wherever you are right now , I hope you're okay and happy .. Always remember that even we're not together , you're always in my heart .. But you must come back because I really missed you so much . I kept asking Jay hyung where you are but he was just saying that you're on an important business and doesn't want to be bothered . I wish you success in everything you do hyung . Fighting ! "
Heeseung give back his phone and looked at Jake who's now wiping his tears with his arms
"Ni-ki's always been a good friend to me . Even he's the youngest , he still cared for me . He always supports me in whatever that I do and never failed to cheer me up when bad days comes . I was so stupid that I was blinded by love that I haven't seen Ni-ki's effort for me . I felt guilty that I do him bad instead . I was sorry that I ruined them both " Jake stated looking blankly at the floor after he finished crying
" Shaira was the first girl that I loved , she was my only best friend .. I didn't knew that I would became like this , I'm so possessive on something that I don't even own . I'm so obsessed with her that I didn't know that I am slowly ruining our friendship and myself . I was so wrong .." He continued
Heeseung was happy that Jake finally realized that he was wrong .
" You know Jake , I am proud that you had finally came to your senses .. You're a brilliant kid Jake , I know you'll understand . " He smiled at the younger
" Yeah , I know I should give up hyung . Shaira's too good for me . And she's for Ni-ki since the beginning . I'll accept it even it hurts . "
" You can lean on us Jake .. Me , Sunghoon , Jay .. and even Ni-ki . We are all her for you . We'll let you heal . " He reassured the younger
" But I must tell Jooyun that our plan was cancelled .. " Jake said as Min Jooyun pops out of his mind
"What's your plan ?" Heeseung strikes him with an intriguing look
"On Shaira's birthday , well announce our engagement even though she doesn't know " Heeseung gasped as he heard of it
" What ? Isn't it too harsh for her ? You're planning behind her back .Are you really that obsessed with her ? You're still young and her.. she's younger than you " Heeseung freaked out
" I was just partly agreed to it hyung . All I wanted was her to be with me but it's so hard for her to do it that this idea came to his dad's mind .. And I'm mad that time that I eventually agreed to it . Her dad was the one who's eager for us to get married and I don't know why "
"Maybe because of their company's bankruptcy ? .. I heard from dad that the Min's are having a hard time coping up with the lost of stocks and some shareholders backed out on them but dad still helps that old man because he was his friend "
The both of them looked at each other like they were thinking the same
" Yeah .. I heard some rumors like that hyung and it turns out to be true huh .. that's why he was so eager to push Shaira to me thinking he'll save his company from breaking down . But even if Shaira wouldn't marry me , I'll still help her even without saying "
"And I heard from him that we won't do the engagement thingy and just proceed on the actual wedding on her 18th birthday . And I'm feeling guilty thinking about doing it . Shaira would really hate me if I would do that . I don't want her to lose her trust in me totally hyung . " he added and Heeseung just nodded his head , holding his chin and thinking hard on what to do now that he knew what Min Jooyun had planned for her daughter .
" Maybe we could sabotage his plan ? I mean you would still act as if you're really doing what you had planned but in reality , you're turning your back from him . But I'll ask you , Are you finally letting her go this time ? " Jake stared at him
" I am hyung .. I'll do it even it hurts . I just want her to be happy even if it's not with me " He sadly said but a small smile crept in the edge of his mouth .. he was slowly accepting it
"Cool! We needed Jay and Sunghoon for this also Hae Jin and the guys " Heeseung said after reassuring that Jake's okay with this . He doesn't want to hurt Jake one more time .
" Hae Jin ? Why is she involved ?" He confusedly asked
" She's Jay's girlfriend .. And we could also ask for her help in some things" His eyes widened at the news he heard . He was happy for Jay
" I hope Jay would forgive me for using Hae Jin in my stupid plan "
" Sure dude .. they're cool about it . Hae Jin explained it to us and Jay understands it . Actually , she didn't even do anything about your secret deal .. everything just go as destiny dictates and you just payed her for doing nothing " Heeseung chuckled as he remembered how the girl told him the situation . It's still funny how she outsmart the great Jake Sim
" What ?! " Jake loudly said and Heeseung looked at him observing if there's a sign of anger in him but nothing .
" I mean , it's okay .. I don't have anything to spend on my money so it was just my help for her mom . She's sick after all " Jake softly giggled . His adorable and innocent giggles came back .. Jake came back
" I thought you're mad .. but Jake , Shaira's birthday is in the next four days . We must sent her to Korea by that time . If Jooyun won't change his mind . We must save her from this mess . Are you in for this ?" He asked Jake
" Yeah hyung , I'm on it . Maybe by this , she'll forgive me . And also Ni-ki .. I fucked up once and I won't let myself to be the villain this time "
The both of them agreed to the set up made by Heeseung ..

Shaira was now at the veranda to get some fresh air . She was so stressed at what she heard earlier when someone offered her a cup of tea .
She looked up to the person and it's Heeseung
"oh ! thanks .. I needed this . I'm so stressed " She blurted and Heeseung just chuckled
"Shai ..about Jake , I hope you'll forgive him . " She looked at him with horror . She never expected him to say these things to her .
"What ?! Are you insane ? He fooled me and you're telling me now to forgive him ?"She's now mad .. again
"I mean , he changed .. I talked to him and made him understand that he's wrong . He accepted it now , didn't he said sorry to you ?" Shaira now thinks about their conversation earlier . Jake really apologized sincerely to her but she didn't accepted it .. instead , she said mean things to him and even slapped him which he deserves from all he had done .
"He do but I'm still mad at him and I still can't forgive him at this point " She just said and Heeseung let out a sigh
" Listen to me .." Heeseung said and the both of them leaned closer
" We have a plan to help you escape " he whispered but Shaira was confused as to why is she going to escape
" oh , but before that I'll tell you why .. Jake and you will be married on your birthday "
Her eyes widened at the news she heard .. Why doesn't she knew ? And why is she being married to Jake ? He is her best friend ..
" Why would I marry him ? And it's on the next day .. what in the world is happening ?"
" Shai , you have to listen and cooperate in order to escape . Your dad was the one who really wanted this . At first , it was just the engagement but he change the plan to wedding . Jake told me everything because you never listened to him . He'll just act and pretend that he's still following your dad's order but in reality , he was helping you escape through me . You have to find your passport first " Heeseung told her
" I don't know where dad hides it .. It's been years that I haven't seen my passport . "
Heeseung couldn't believe she was really like a hostage in her own house .
" I'll help you find it . I'll inject some sleeping drug on him to keep him asleep as we look for your passport on his room . But dad is the problem . He was there with Jooyun all the time . I don't know what to do to let him go for a while "
" But what if you'll distract your dad for a while ? Just tell him excuses and buy me some time "
And with that , they had come up with a plan .
That night , Shaira sneaked to her dad's room after Heeseung had injected him some drug to make him sleep .
She dug up the drawers first but she found nothing .. next is his cabinets but still nothing . Then she remembered that her dad had a vault where he keep important documents and money . She knows where it is . She went to her dad's secret vault and think of a possible code to it . She first thought of her mom's birthday and it eventually opened . How sweet of her dad to actually put her mom's birthdate as a vault code .. she thought
As she opened it , there goes her passport greeting her . She grabbed it then closed the vault after . She went out like nothing had happened and informed Heeseung that she had successfully took her passport .
He then let his dad to check upon Jooyun and went to Shaira's room to talk about their next plan .
Heeseung called Jay as soon as he is saw her passport .
"Jay .. book a flight for Shaira . She has to escape here as soon as possible ." Heeseung told Jay on the other line
" aye aye captain ! .. What else ? " Jay asked excitedly .
"Just book a flight first . We'll talk about other things later "
He heard a hum from Jay then he ended the call
"Will we be okay with this ? I mean what if dad will know .. We're in trouble " She's afraid of the come out of it if they'll fail
" Don't worry , Jake's on our side .. he'll make up a story if he'll find out that you're not here .. And I'll help also . All you need to do is to escape and be with Ni-ki . It's your birthday tomorrow , this will be our birthday gift to you " He ruffled her hair
"Aww thanks .. I haven't met Jake but I really want to thank him for this . " She said
The older just smiled at her .. Shaira then packed some of her things to bring . Heeseung help her also .

After Jay had booked Shaira a ticket , Heeseung told Shaira to meet up with Jake . The said boy knew what to do this time since the both of them had planned it beforehand .
Tomorrow's Ni-ki and Shaira's birthday . And the wedding celebration planned by Min Jooyun .
Heeseung made sure that the said old man wouldn't notice Shaira's absence so he'll keep him distracted . And if he'll notice it later on , maybe by that time .. Shaira was on her way to Korea or arrived at the said place .
Both Shaira and Jake went directly to the airport with tensed feelings . It was like they're on a movie and running away from the antagonist .
Clutching on her bag and passport , Shaira looked at Jake who's seriously focusing on the road . She keeps looking at him from time to time that it became distracting for Jake . He can't focus now on driving that Shaira keeps looking at him .
"Do you have something to say Shai ? You kept looking at me .. " Jake asked still eyes on the road
" umm , I just want to say thank you .. Jake . For helping me escape "
Jake looked at her at once and smiled .. then looked again at the road before speaking
" I'm always willing to help you Shai .. and I'm deeply sorry for all that I had done to you . I was just blinded by love and didn't know that I almost ruined your life " he apologized
" I understand Jake .. but I still feel the pain . I can't promise to forgive you right away .. I don't want to lose you as my best friend but it's hard for me to forget about everything . " She stated honestly , glancing at Jake . The boy just holds her hand with his spare hand .. the girl just let him .
" I know Shai .. I'll wait until the day you'll finally had forgiven me . And by that , I hope we could still continue our friendship " he said then Shaira holds his hand also but tighter . They smiled at each other .
Minutes passed and they both arrived at the airport . Jake accompanied her inside ..
" I'll follow you there after I fix this mess Shai .. to apologize to Ni-ki personally . And please tell him that I'm really sorry " He said while giving Shaira her things .. she nodded before speaking
" okay .. I'll tell him "
The both of them looked in each other's eyes then smiled . Jake waved his hand then slowly turned his back at Shaira and walk away .
"Jakey ! Don't worry , you're still my best friend " she loudly said and Jake looked back at her with a wide smile . She opened her arms , allowing Jake to hug her . Jake moved to hug her
" Thank you Shai .. Please be happy with Ni-ki " He said almost crying but he tried not to . It's still hurt to let her go but it's for the best .
"I will Jake . I hope you'll find happiness too " Shaira said before releasing from the hug
"bye" both of them said simultaneously . They just laughed .. they waved at each other then Shaira proceeds to enter when they heard the announcement .
Jake went home feeling light . As if he had released a heavy burden in his heart . He never felt this happy in his entire life . He just wished that one day , Shaira would forgive him totally .. he's looking forward for that day .
