It's been almost two weeks since I've asked Melly about her health. Melly hasn't said anything and I still hear her retching in the bathroom almost every single day. Every time she exits out of the bathroom after she had her episode, she would tell that she's fine, that there's nothing that I should worry about. But the sound of her voice, makes me think otherwise. Which makes feel extremely worried about her. I mean what if Melly is really sick and there's nothing that I can do to help her? I don't want to live with the idea that my girlfriend is seriously ill or anything. I want her to be happy and healthy. It hurts me to hear how sick she is in the bathroom. I just wish she'd tell me what's going on, then my mind could be a little bit at ease.
Today, Melly and I are at my friend's Mike's house's garage for another band practice. Before I get into this story, let me introduce you to everyone in the band.
Mike Cook is a seventeen year old, Japanese boy. I met around the seventh grade, immediately becoming good friends with him. Turns out he's really talent with almost every basic instruments a person could play, but he's mostly a bass player. With me, Melly, and Mike as three musician, we've decided to come up with a rock band called "The Black Pilers". Though we only had a few people, so we decided to have an audition in the neighborhood for those who wants to be featured in our musical group.
In came, Amy Valentine. She was a blonde, sixth grader during the time of the audition. After hearing her cover of "Children Surrender" by Black Veil Brides, we immediately put her into the band. She's really talented and you can tell she puts dedication to her work.
Then there's Jack Nelson, who's in my grade. He's a shaggy, brown-haired kid who really knows how to play the drums. I met him in the beginning of eighth grade, making him the final member of our small, rock band.
Again, we're not too popular. We haven't gotten anywhere outside of Mike's garage. But we do have a really fun time together and that what counts to us.
Melly starts the song with her wine red, electric burny guitar.
She sang, "Get out of my hair,
Get out of my face.
I don't want to get out of bed today,
So don't waste your time in trying,
Get out, get out.
Are your ears working well?
I thought I was speaking English very well.
I said, I don't want to get out of bed today,
So close the door
And let me snore.
Get out, get out.
I don't feel like going to school today,
It's will be just another day.
I won't be missing anything,
So I don't know what's the point of getting out of bed,
I just want to rest my head.
I don't feel like listening to my teachers drilling my head with another lesson,
I don't feel like putting up with the teenagers being obnoxious.
I just want to dream about kissing my boyfriend,
So please, don't bug me today.
I just want to sleep in peace.
Please don't try,
I just want extend the night.
I just want peace for one day in my life.
Please, mom
Let me be a lazy bug today.
I swear I won't miss anything today.
Get out of my hair,
Get out of my face.
I don't want to get out of bed today,
So don't waste your time in trying,
Get out, get out.
Are your ears working well?
I thought I was speaking English very well.
I said, I don't want to get out of bed today,
So close the door
And let me snore.
Get out, get out.
I don't want to deal with people today,
I just want to be lazy by watching Netflix and going to sleep.
Please don't bother me today,
Please don't do this to me.
I just want some peace today.
(Speak)
Just one day, please.
(Instrumental)
Please don't try,
I just want extend the night.
I just want peace for one day in my life.
Please, mom
Let me be a lazy bug today.
I swear I won't miss anything today.
Get out of my hair,
Get out of my face.
I don't want to get out of bed today,
So don't waste your time in trying,
Get out, get out.
Are your ears working well?
I thought I was speaking English very well.
I said, I don't want to get out of bed today,
So close the door
And let me snore.
Get out, get out."
We laughed as we finished the song. It wasn't supposed to be taken seriously anyway.
"Kids, I got pizza." Mike's mom said from the kitchen.
"Lets have our break." Mike said, before running up the stairs screaming "Pizza!" with everyone else behind him except Melly and I.
"Are you coming?" I asked, my girlfriend.
"I will, but I-I need to tell you something." She said. She looks pretty serious. "Please sit down."
I looked at her as I sat on the red couch that's in the garage.
Melly grabbed an acoustic guitar from a guitar hold and sat down besides me.
"What's up?" I said, kind of scared.
"Don't be scared." She assured me. "I just wrote a song this morning and I want you to know what you think of it."
"Okay." I said. This is a normal thing that we do together. Whenever we write a song, we sing it to each other afterwards to see what the other thinks of it. But something tells me that I should really listen to the words of this particular.
Melly strums the guitar and sings, "Hey, baby
How are you doing?
I hope you're feeling happy lately.
I got some news to announce to you.
Come, baby,
Take a seat in this chair,
I got some news that I would like to share.
I hope you will be happy.
It only took one act of affection,
It only took one love action.
Baby, are you catching on?
Do you have a hint on what's going on?
You're probably thinking,
"Come on, Melly,
Quit beating around the bush,
Tell me what's up.
You know you can spill your guts".
You're probably thinking,
"Whatever it is,
Everything will be okay."
I take a deep breath,
And say what I need to say.
Oh, baby,
We're having a baby."
She stops singing and looks at me with a nervous expression on her face. I nodded my head, processing her lyrics in my head, "Wait, you're having a baby?"
"Yes." She said, biting her lips.
"Told you." My conscious told me.
I smiled nervously at her, not knowing what to think of this whole thing. I feel light-headed.
"What do you think of this?" She asked, nervously.
I closed my eyes, fell back, feeling my head hit the arm of the couch.
"Derek!" Melly screamed as I faint.
