Anakin

Your day had been horrible. The chancellor was in a foul mood and was taking it out on you. Multiple trips across the city, multiple calls with dignitaries who were so pompous you nearly went cross eyed with how many eye rolls you were doing.

Lunch was your only saving grace today. You immediately brought your little bagged lunch with you to the designated green area. Trees were planted in stylish designs and some flowers added brilliant color to an otherwise very industrial world.

You sat next to what you deemed 'your' tree and started nibbling on a sandwich, going over the ways you wanted to flush the Chancellor's head in the refresher.

You heard a scuffing noise, making your heart jump for a moment at the familiar sound. Looking up, you saw exactly who you had hoped.

Wearing his dark robes and shaggy hair, you had gotten used to seeing Anakin Skywalker in passing. Yet, it never failed to leave you wanting more. More conversation. More time.

The tall Jedi stood over you, a smirk playing on his lips. "What a place to find a lady. Sitting in the shade of a tree, almost walked on by an unsuspecting Jedi."

You chuckled and swallowed your last bite. "Luckily he's a bit more observant than that."

He chuckled as well, taking a seat beside you. How funny you must have looked to the passerby. A little human woman and a large Jedi sitting beneath the rare bit of green.

A few silent moments passed, the two of you slightly awkward but still happy in each other's presence.

"Many do not enjoy the greenery of the world."

You smiled, remembering fond memories of your lush home. "I love it. It reminds me of home. The breeze there isn't from passing ships though." You laughed.

He smiled while looking at you. "You do not speak much of personal things."

"It's hard to when I only see you for a greeting, a question and then a goodbye."

He nodded and looked down at his robes.

"I had hoped I would see you today." He said softly and turned his face to you, looking earnest and quite handsome.

"For a greeting and hopefully more." His fingers fumbling with the fabric of his robes. Was he nervous? How odd for the cocky Jedi.

You scrunched your brow.

"I thought Jedi aren't supposed to want things like that." You tried to shy away from him echoing your own feelings back at you.

"I am still human."

You nodded and let a few moments pass.

Your heart was pounding, feeling like it was in your throat. This stupid Jedi, with his stupid smirk and pretty eyes. You clenched your hands and sighed.

"I need to be going soon. The Chancellor is on a tear today and I think he wants the whole galaxy to pay."

You went to stand up and saw your companion shoot up before you, hand out to help you.

You looked up at him and felt butterflies once again. You took his hand and were easily pulled up. He pulled you closer and looked you in the eyes, like he was trying to decipher something.

Feeling his warmth so close made your thoughts fuzzy.

"Would it be alright, if I met you here for lunch? When I was in the city, that is." He nodded away, mentioning the constant missions he would go on.

You swallowed hard, "I-I don't know." You shook your head and looked away.

The part of you who hated bending rules was adamant. The part that wanted to listen to your heart wanted to rally.

He stepped back into your view. "I couldn't think of a better way to spend my time."

You blushed immediately, his hand squeezing yours.

"I always take my lunch right here. Daily."

He smiled a brilliant smile at you. "Then I shall see you soon, my lady."

Obi-Wan

You worked in a restaurant in the middle of the city. It was an average job, with average pay. Nothing special happened nor was there anything special in your life.

You were going through the motions.

It was your break, but instead of smoking some death sticks like the rest of the staff, you went outside and watched ships pass by.

You didn't mind living in such a busy planet. But part of you yearned for a simpler existence. That part of you was saving to buy a ship of your own and be at your own beck and call.

You sat there on a large stone railing for the next ten minutes. Dreaming of the adventures and the peace you would find once you left everything you knew behind.

Someone cleared their throat behind you. Turning, you saw it was the handsome man from a fortnight ago.

He smiled his warm smile. Causing your insides to flit around a bit.

"I had thought it was you."

You smiled back. "At least this time I'm not falling."

He smiled a shyer smile.
"No, it just might be me who is falling."

You blinked. Surely this Jedi wasn't flirting with you.

"What brings you out here?"

"I was having dinner with a few others, I had noticed you serving another table and then you were just gone. I was worried I lost my chance at seeing you again."

You patted the railing next to you, where he quickly sat, his shoulder brushing against yours every so often.

"It's my break." You said awkwardly.

He chuckled. "I see. And you chose to sit outside and watch the skies?"

You nodded. "Some day I hope to be in them, too. Fly far away and see all the galaxy has to offer."

"It's not all as beautiful as you might hope."

You nodded. "I know. But it'll all be my choice. And that's worth it."

He set his hand down close to yours, you could feel his warmth through your pinkie. It brought a blush to your cheeks.

"I have a ship that's quite fun to pilot. You could try, if you like."

His beautiful blue eyes looked at you hopefully.

Your smile turned huge. "I'd love nothing more!"

Without thinking you reached out and enveloped him in a hug. He hesitated a moment then wrapped his arms around you.

You felt his head bend nearer and nuzzle into your neck.

You heart felt like a little bird trying to escape a cage. You were downright delighted and giddy.

He pulled back and took your hand.

"I shall be on a mission for the next month or so. When I return, I'll come find you for our adventure."

He kissed your hand, looking into your eyes and stood to leave.

"I shall be thinking of you, in the mean time." He nodded and strode back into the restaurant.

You held your hand to your lips and smiled.

Qui-Gon

It had been a week without your holopad.

Well, your first one.

At first, it was hectic and completely debilitating.

You couldn't reach anyone and no one could reach you.

You didn't know your calendar. Just nothing. You stayed up late every night just to put it all back together in a brand new one.

You still held the complete contempt for the cocky Jedi that you had run into.

You almost wanted to put the blame on him, but you knew better. It was you being completely plugged in and not paying attention.

Today you had to stop at the Jedi Council to retrieve verification on a few requests put in by the chancellor. Being an in-betweener was a complicated job, yet you learned a lot of what was going on in the galaxy.

You had managed to get into the temple using your credentials and stood waiting for a representative to read over and sign. You sighed and looked out over the city. The place was well guarded and you felt off just being here. You certainly were not a force user and the whole idea shook you a little.

You heard someone walking up, relieved to finally get moving and hopefully leaving. When you turned your mouth fell open.

It was him!

A huge smile on his face clued you in on him remembering you as well.

"I certainly hoped we would meet again. I just never thought it would be here. Not with you needing something from me."

You grimaced. What a jerk.

"I need you to read over these statutes and sign your agreement on the Councils' behalf." You held out a larger holopad and stylus for him. Hopeful he was a quick read.

He nodded, then turned and started walking towards one of the few green areas at the temple.

You huffed after him.

"Sir..." You ground out.

He turned to you with a smirk. His hands in his robes, he just stood there looking at you.

"I am Qui-Gon Jinn. Not sir. Not to you."

Your mouth fell open again.

"And what is your name?"

"I'm y/n." You said quietly.

He nodded and held out his hand for the holopad.

You handed everything over and backed away so he could read by himself.

"Y/n."

You quickly came back, a look of confusion in your face.

"It seems as though this shall take a long time to read over these statutes. And, it is quite close to meal time."

As if to answer your stomach growled loudly. You placed a hand on it and looked up at him with wide eyes. That was too close to be coincidental.

He smiled like he knew what you were thinking.

"Let's have dinner and you can go over the finer points of these." He held up the holopad.

Again, your mouth hung open. This man was...was...you didn't even have a word for it!

He began walking away and you blinked and managed to keep up.

"I know a wonderful place in the lower downtown. We'll go there. You're not afraid of trying something new, are you?"

You looked up into his eyes, a mischievous glint had to taking in a quick breath. He was flirting with you!

The handsome Jedi was flirting with you!

He lightly took your hand and brought you to a transporter.

It looked like a casual business meeting, but you knew he had more planned.

And secretly, you liked it.
