Y/n and Levi made it to their dead friends bodies, the first they encountered was Gunters
Their eyes darkened looking at the hanging body and they both could already guessed that all of them died
Next was Eld his legs were completely gone and he was staring up at the sky with dead eyes
Y/n clenched her jaw, she knew she couldn't break down at the time. She needs to find Eren and make sure his safe
They didn't talk. Only looked. They made it to Olou he was facing down most likely being attacked by insects
And then after going around a tree Petra was found, back completely broken and so as her neck
This one definitely had a effect on the two, it was simply horrible to see and neither of them would never want to watch their squad get killed
They continued on nevertheless "Fall down for this one, it's smart and there's a person in there. I'll handle it myself." Levi told Y/n
Y/n glanced at him "Why should I watch from the sides while your fighting? If we attack together-"
"No." Levi cut her off he didn't want her to infer with the titan. He made a promise to Kristan that he would keep her safe. No matter what he will not her die. He will not break that promise.
"I'll protect you. Just stay by my side. Better yet go ahead and head to Erwin. That titan is obviously coming for you as well-"
WHOOM!!
The female titan suddenly appeared again "Back down!!" Levi yelled stopping in his tracks and guarding Y/n with his body
The female noticed Levi and she quickly thought of a plan, Levi and Y/n were near trees if she pushed him into the tree she could end him then grab Y/n
"Give him back!!"
Levi isn't her only threat Mikasa chased after her and followed her along the way yelling and screaming for her to give a Eren back
Mikasa came in aiming for her nape but the female covered her nape then hardened her skin causing Mikasa to break her blades
Once Mikasa retreated back into a tree the female pulled a move on Levi
SLAM!!
She cornered him, since Levi was guarding Y/n with his body she took the advantage of trapping him
She crystallized both hands and "crushed" him to death, if he hooked onto her face she could easily bite him
He really didn't have a way out and accepted it "Levi!" Y/n yelled looking back at him horrified
The female then threw his body down before running to Y/n again,as she was in the state of shock
Mikasa also was shocked her mouth gaped she couldn't believe the Captain fell off that fast
Levi laid on his stomach bleeding from his head and hands lying beside him, he could see Y/n running away to Erwin
Y/n didn't have a choice but to run to Erwin she couldn't kill the titan or else she'll be in trouble
She needed someone to act as a distraction in order to attack this situation was a lose or lose
Her head was spinning and the thought about Levi being dead made her tremble, she was in danger. And she couldn't do anything but run away.
But no.
Mikasa thought back on Eren she needed to retake him. She forced her eyes off Levi and looked directly to the female
Just as Y/n was passing by a tree the female went from the other side and appeared in front of her
Y/n gasped and flinched back but it was to late. The female used her hand to slam Y/n into the tree knocking her out
Y/n cracked her head "Nrgh!" and slowly lost her control on herself then began sliding off the tree
To which the female caught her then shoved her inside her mouth.
Levi watched everything happen his heart was beating quickly his hands were trembling and he was filled with rage
Mikasa couldn't move a muscle before Levi snatched his blades from the ground "GIVE HER BACK!!!!"
Levi's scream shook the whole forest, birds flew away into the air and the atmosphere become dark
Mikasa flinched but then followed behind Levi as he zoomed past trees furiously charging to the female
Levi's scream was so loud it was heard from where Erwin and his squad were positioned at "Her?" Erwin mumbled "The female has also gone for her? Y/n?"
Mikasa wasn't to far away from Levi and had the same amount of angry built inside her "Eren was captured his alive. Inside her mouth." She spoke
Levi listened but didn't respond he completely forgot about Eren and was only attacking the female to grab Y/n
The female was running full speed she was the one in danger now, having two skilled soldiers ragging at you.
Y/n forced herself to not completely lose herself her opened her eyes slowly, it was dark. Of course she was inside a mouth
Eren was seen lying beside her, she quickly sat up and held onto anything she could to prevent herself from sliding down the tongue
Y/n placed her hands on Eren "He's alive" she mumbled she then Slide his body towards her and held onto him tightly
"I need to find a way out of here. I won't let her take me away."
Levi and Mikasa were right behind the female "You'll be distraction, I'll attack don't infer. And when I say don't infer. I mean don't.infer." Levi ordered having deadly aura around him
Mikasa only nodded and headed in front of the female using her body as a distraction
The female saw Mikasa but then sensed someone from behind her, the female raised her fist and swung towards Levi
Levi already had his blades ready and even if his head was dizzy he is still going to attack. All to get her back.
Starting from the wrist allll the way to her shoulder Levi cut the female up using a spinning motion
The females arm dropped down and Levi moved to her eyes he stabbed both but only blinded one since the female hardened the other
Levi knew it was useless to try and kill the titan since it could just hardened its body over and over again so that wasn't his goal
Levi then dropped down to her legs and ankles her sliced her leg then ankle making her lose balance and fall against a tree
Levi was too fast for the female to react.Levi seemed faster then ever. It was the females mistake for capturing his girlfriend
"GIVE HER BACK!" Levi yelled again
The female had her arm covering her nape, which so Levi reacted by aiming for her arm
He sliced her arm to pieces and forced the female to uncover her nape, her nape was now opened
Mikasa noticed the opening and debated about taking the chance to kill the female but before she could do that
"Rasengan!!"
Y/n slammed her ball of chakra into the females mouth and made an opening for herself and Eren
"Y/n!!" Levi yelled calming down knowing she was alive, Mikasa saw Eren in her arms "Eren!"
The females arm had healed and she covered her mouth "Tch, damn you." Levi furrowed his eyebrows downwards
Once again Levi quickly charged and began cutting up the arm into pieces quicker this time
Mikasa only waited and watched from the trees amazed at Levi's skill. Was it his skill or a certain power?
Levi then moved onto the females mouth and cut it open "Levi!" Y/n exclaimed holding Eren tightly
Levi felt relaxed hearing Y/n say his name it comforted him and let him know that she was still with him
Both Levi and Mikasa come down to the females mouth "Eren!" Mikasa took him out of Y/n arms
Eren was filthy he was covered in saliva and he was unconscious, Mikasa looked down at him in his arms relieved to see him okay
Levi stepped inside the mouth and grabbed Y/n from her waist, he noticed the bleeding on her head and knew she didn't have much strength
Levi then used his gear "We leave now Mikasa!" Levi ordered "Right!" Mikasa nodded following after him with Eren
Y/n was bleeding uncontrollably possibly more then Levi but still used the strength she had to hold onto Levi
Levi helped her out by touching her thigh then pulling and controlling it around his waist he did the same to the other, then held her close to him by having his hand on her lower back
Y/n was facing the female and saw that "She's crying..." Y/n said in a small voice she didn't feel bad at all
Levi kept his eyes forwards all he cared about was having Y/n by his side. He kept his promise to Kristan. He did in fact get her back.

Now outside the forest was the bodies of the Levi squad lined up in a row
Everyone was collecting as many bodies as they could
Levi had Y/n sitting on the wagon and wrapped her head in bandages "Ow not to tight." Y/n grunted
"Sorry."
Levi loosened it up "Alright all done." He said grabbing her arm and putting it around his shoulder
They silently walked over to their comrades bodies and kneeled down
Y/n pulled off the white covered and then her kunai knife, she cut off Petras badge and held it tightly
Then did the same to all the others with the help of Levi, he didn't talk much but allowed her to gather all their badges
"No! I refuse! We can't just leave them out here!! He was there I saw his body! He was right in front of us!" Sudden screaming interrupted their silence
Levi got up and dragged Y/n along with him "Stop shrieking. If you've already confirmed his death, there's nothing more to do. Whether we have his body or not makes no difference now. He's still just as dead either way." Levi glared at them
"That's cold..." one said "Ivan and the others will be listed as missing in action. That's my decision and it's final now let it go." Erwin stated walking away
Levi followed behind him with Y/n
The soldiers looked at Y/n for her response but she just shrugged "His decision." She said
"You heartless bastards!! That's the kind of respect you show to the men who gives their lives for you?!" His Captain scolded him and shut him up

Everyone is back on the move and everyone is heading back to the walls
Mikasa rode on her horse beside the wagon Eren was put inside, she looked at him with a soft gaze
In the other hand Y/n sat on a different wagon with her head wrapped in bandages she shared the wagon with the dead bodies of her squad along with two other men
"Are you feeling okay?" Levi asked next to her riding his horse
"Yes"
"Has the bleeding stopped?"
"Not really"
"Any of your bones broken?"
"Probably"
"Do you need me to wrap new ones?"
"Nah I'm fine"
"Want some water?"
"No"
"Are you cold."
"Levi I'm fine." Y/n raised her voice
Levi quickly shut his mouth and glanced at her
"Heads up we've got company!!" A soldier from behind yelled, another soldier was riding along beside him
Two abnormal titans were chasing them out the forest, Y/n held her head then looked up "Damn fools." She spat
A Captain quickly fired off a red flare "Enemy spotted at the rear!!" Someone announced
Erwin heard "Full speed all soldiers!!" He ordered
Levi looked back then forwards to Erwin "We can't put up much of a fight out here." He said to Erwin
"Our best option is to continue to the wall." Erwin stated "Tch" Levi looked back over to Y/n
One of the abnormal titans swung its arm to one of the soldiers carrying a friend on his back
The soldier controlling the horse managed to duck down and dodge but his friend was unconscious and unfortunately fell to the ground
"Ah!" The man screamed he looked over to his right and saw his friend being grabbed by the other abnormal "Ah!"
He stopped his horse and pulled out his blades then hooked onto the abnormals back
Meanwhile the other abnormal continued on to the others, he was very close to the people at the back
"Looks like we have no choice but to fight!" Jean said to Armin "Well soon be out numbered!" Armin looked further back to see three more abnormal titans running
"So what do you suggest we do?! You genius!" Jean asked "The only thing we can..." Armin had his eyes on the bodies of the dead
The soldiers that was going to strike and kill the abnormal was caught mid air, luckily Mikasa passed by
"Ah!" Mikasa yelled slicing the titan nape and saving the screaming soldier, the titan fell then started evaporating
Mikasa landed on the grass and stood watching the titan. The soldiers crawled himself out of the titans hand.
"We're done! It's heading for us!" Soldiers yelled looking up at the tall abnormal a couple feet away
"I'll use myself as a distraction-"
"Don't bother." Levi cut him off "We'll get rid of this extra weight. Dump the bodies." He ordered
Y/n flinched and panicked looking around "But sir!" The two soldiers on the same wagon as her hesitated on dumping the bodies
"Do you know how many corpse have been left out there? These aren't special, dump them." Levi ordered
"Are we doing this?! We can't seriously be doing this!!" One of the soldiers yelled holding onto the bodies
"Please no." Y/n said "Y/n! There's no other choice! Do you want to be eaten alive?! Correct me if I'm wrong but you've said you don't want to die in the hands of a titan correct?!" Levi reminded her
"I don't" Y/n answered barely able to keep her eyes opened "Then they will dump the bodies!" Levi said
"I'm sorry!" The soldier opened the wagon then started throwing the bodies down one by one "Wait!" Y/n crawled out her corner
Everything went in slow motion, one soldier held Y/n down while the other dumped the final body
Petras, Y/n watched trembling and shocked as her friends body was rolling on the grass "Thats it!" The soldier exclaimed "Were losing him!"
Y/n slapped the soldiers hands off of her and crawled back to her corner, she still didn't allow herself to break down yet
But the bracelets around her wrist made it extremely hard not to. She put on a poker face and become emotionless.

"Alright soldiers look sharp! We head out the moment our positions are confirmed!"
Everyone stopped in the middle of the grass
The soldier that lead the titans out the forest stood on the grass completely stunned
Y/n felt horrible over her friends, maybe she was starting to understand why people devote their hearts
With a groan and a couple stumbles she collected herself and walked towards the man "Captain I- don't know what to say." The man looked down ashamed
Y/n reached inside her uniform and pulled out someone's badge "We can't always carry our fallen comrades home,but we carry their memory" Y/n handed him the badge of her friends, she didn't who's exactly.
"This was Ivan's." She lied the guy held the badge tightly and teared up "T-Thank you ma'am!" Tears streamed down his face
Y/n glanced at him then stumbled back into her wagon "Let's move out!" Ordered were given

"Am i miscounting or are they fewer of them from when they first left?!" A man said
The scouts have made it back inside and everyone has something to say
"Look!" A man pointed to Y/n's figure sitting on the wagon "The Uzumaki even got injured they must have been hit hard!"
Y/n turned her head to them "Look it! She's bleeding out!" The man continued "Well of course! She's obviously weaker then Captain Levi over there" the mans friend looked at Levi
"What a useless soldier!"
That caught Levi's attention "Hey! You bastard! Say something-"
"Levi cut it out." Y/n cut him off and looked back down at her lap "But-" Levi looked at her
"Just stop." Y/n said
The men were right, she has always been in the shadow of Levi even if she's at the same level as him
What was so cool about him? What did he have that she didn't? Why can't people just accept her and know her name the way they know Levi's?!
"Hey! Captain Levi! Captain Y/n! I'm Petras father good evening!" Petras dad walked beside her wagon
"I wanted to talk before I see her! She sent me a letter saying how grateful and thankful she is to be in your squad! She really looks up to you guys and says you guys are good friends?! She made matching bracelets for you two! I just wanted to thank you guys as her father it means a lot-"
Levi speed up the horse and dragged the wagon with him "Oh...." Petras dad was left alone
"Give us some answers!! Was it worth it?! Was it really worth it?!" People continued yelling
"Look at Captain Levi's underdog!! It's been injured!!" Everyone looked at Y/n with curiosity
Y/n looked up to the sky and looked at the clouds "Underdog?..."
The vast expenditure of resources and lives in the expedition beyond the wall dealt a serious blow to the survey corps. Eroding their public and political support. Erwin and the other leaders were summoned to the royal capital, they were ordered to turn Eren over to the military police,and to bring Y/n along for questioning.
That same night Y/n drew all of her fallen friends as a final goodbye "We'll meet again."
