~Renesmee POV~
Me and Mel walked to her room.
"I don't know what's wrong with my dad Ness and it worries me" Mel said
"Why?" I asked sitting on her bed
"Because he seems so down lately, he doesn't bring women home anymore" She said.
I looked at her and just nodded.
"I think he likes someone but can't have her or something"
I stared at her. "Do you really think that?"
"I don't know what to think, I don't know if I should just go talk to my dad about it or not" She said
I nodded "I get you"
We talked for a few hours and Mel fell asleep.
But her words were still running in my mind

What if it's true? He likes someone and I'm crazy for him.
Crazy for my bestfriend's dad. I sighed, this is messed up.
I got up and walked to the kitchen to get some water.
I was sitting on the island when I heard footsteps.
I immediately turned around and was face to face with a shirtless Max.
"You're still up?" He asked
I nodded "Yeah, couldn't sleep" I said softly
"Me neither" He said grabbing some water and sat down next to me.
I sighed deeply.
"How is school?" He asked "Still A's?"
I smiled "Yeah school is fine I guess and yeah still A's"
He turned his head and looked at me "Nice"
"And how is the company doing?"
He took a sip "Amazing actually, we may open two more branches in different states" He said
"Awesome!" I said
He looked down at his glass of water then back at me.
"Did you like White?" He suddenly asked.
"Who?" I asked
"That kid, son of White & Co" He said
"Ohh Kendrick" I asked
He nodded "Did you like him?"
I turned my head looking at him "Yeah.. I mean as a friend, he seems like a good person to be friends with" I said.
Max nodded "Nothing more?" He asked
"No, nothing more"
"Good" He muttered
"What?"
"Nothing" He said, although I already heard him.
"What time is it?" I asked
He looked at his phone "2:30am" He said
I nodded "I don't think I'll go to sleep though" I said
"Me neither" He replied.. He stood up, walked to the fridge and pulled out a Vercade white chocolate.
"You want some?" He asked
"Hell yeah!" I said "It's my favorite"
He laughed and gave me a bar "Let's go to the game room and hang out"
We walked to the game room where his xBox, PS4 and that sort of things were.. He might be 30 but his looks and his spirit is young as fuck!
We got into the game room and he turned the tv on and we sat on the couch.
He connected his xBox on it.
"You want to play 15 Q&A?" He asked
"Yeah sure" I said "You start"
He nodded "Uhm.. I never asked you this but I wonder, where were you born?" He asked
"I was born in Italy"
"So Italiana" He said laughing
"Si" I replied
"Can you speak Italian?"
"Of course"
"Favorite Ice-cream?"
"Lemon"
"Favorite food?"
"Chicken with French fries or just season salad"
"Favorite color?"
"Purple and Black"
"Eye color?"
"They change, but sometimes grey-blueish"
"First kiss?"
"Uhm, in the first grade with Jordan Carter"
"Last kiss"
"Few days ago Trevor Johnsons, truth or dare game"
"Favorite sibling" He asked laughing
I laughed too "I love them both, but probably Vince because Cam is a pain in the ass" I said
"Favorite place to eat?"
"iHop and Denny's"
"Ever fell in love?"
I looked at him for a minute before answering him "Yeah" I said softly
After he asked me questions, it was my turn now.
"What did you wanted to be if you didn't have this company?" I asked
"Uh.. I don't know, probably a lawyer, accountant"
I nodded "First kiss?" I asked smirking
He laughed "Payback huh?" He said still laughing "I don't know how old I was but it was in high school before I met Beatrice, her name was Kelly Peterson"
Beatrice was Melanie's mom.
"Last kiss?"
"Some girl at the club, I don't remember her name"
I nodded "Alright"
~Max's POV~
Me and Ness kept playing Q&A and she was asking me questions now.
"Have you ever fallen in love?" She asked me. I looked at her and nodded.
"Yeah once" I said "With Beatrice"
She nodded and looked down. We continued to talk, I wanted to kiss her so badly. I wanted to know how she tasted, how her lips would feel against mines. But I knew I couldn't do that.
And that hurts.
"Ness, I'm going to sleep" I said
She looked a little bit sad, maybe that was just my imagination tricking me
"Yeah okay, goodnight Max" She said
"Night Ness" I said kissing her cheek and walked to my room.
Few Hours later, I felt the sun shining on my face.
I stood up, took a warm shower, walked to my walk-in closet and grabbed my grey suit, my black and white striped tie and black pants. I got dressed.
I grabbed my black coat and put it on. Before walking downstairs, I grabbed my phone and my briefcase.
I saw Ness and Mel making breakfast.
"Good morning girls" I greeted them and kissing them both on the cheek.
They smiled at me "Good morning" They replied back.
"I'll go to work now, see you guys later, enjoy y'all winter break" I said smirking.
I grabbed my car keys to my black Audi A5 and headed to work.
When I arrived to my office, my secretary Genesis greeted me.
"Morning sir" She said
"Morning Genesis, what do we have for today?" I asked
"Well, 10am you have a meeting with Mr. Ferrera from the Ferrera company, 2pm meeting with Mr. White from White & Co and your mom called and asked if you could call her back and yeah.. That's pretty much it, for today.." Genesis said.
I nodded "Thanks" I said "By the way, can you call the bank and ask them what happened with the money I should've gotten from the Cassano Enterprises in Italy?" I asked
Genesis nodded and wrote it down in her agenda "Immediately sir" She said
"Thank you Genesis"
She walked away, I grabbed my phone and called my mom"
"Wassup mom?" I said when she picked up
"Max baby" She said "It's been a long time since I heard from you, boy"
"Mom! I spoke to you three days ago" I said
"But you know you should call us everyday Maxi"
I sighed "Alright mom, what do you need?" I asked
"Why don't you come to France with Mel?" She asked "Your brother is here too and it would be good to see you guys together"
"Matt is there?" I asked
"Yeah" My mom said
"He didn't tell me he would go to France"
"Come to France, Max"
"Mom I can't, I have a lot of work here"
"Please please Maxi, come for at least 2 weeks"
I sighed deeply "Alright mom, we will come tomorrow"
"Yes!" She said "I'll go and tell your dad"
"Alright, talk to you tomorrow" I said and hung up. I swear my mom can act like a child to get what she wants. Ugh. I grabbed my iPhone 6 and texted my brother.
Me: Thanks for letting mom invite me over to France, lovely little brother -.-"
Matt: Hahahahahaha, I know you love me big bro XD.
Me: Yeah yeah -_-"
Matt: You love me right? *Innocent face*
Me: Lmao! Yeah you know I love you Matty XD
Matt: Love you too bro, btw when are you coming?
Me: Tomorrow.. G2G! See you tomorrow
Matt: Ight.. See yah.
Me and Matt were the closest a big brother and a little brother can ever be.
We were inseparable when we were little.
When I moved here to New York for college, Matt couldn't stop crying and he even got sick and I had to fly back to France to see him.
I really love my little brother.
I thought about Ness, I won't see her for 2 weeks, I'll for sure miss her.
My door flew open revealing Jeremiah.
"Sup bro" He greeted me.
"Hey Jer" I said putting my head in my hands.
"What's wrong buddy?" He asked and sat down in front of me
"Just talked to my mom, Matt is in France and she wants me and Mel to come visit her for 2 weeks" I said
"And you don't want to go?"
"Honestly? No"
"Because of Ness right?"
I looked up at him and nodded slowly "Yeah" I whispered "She just drives me crazy. Yesterday I couldn't sleep and went downstairs to get water and she was awake too and we talked and played Q&A and stuff" I told Jer.
"Nothing else happened right?"
"No Jer, you know I can't make a move on her.. Even though it sucks, I know I can't" I said softly looking out of the window next to me.
"Max, I can't see you like this buddy.. Since Beatrice, I've never seen you this crazy about a girl.. You need to talk to her and find out if she feels the same way about you" Jer said
"No, because if she doesn't have feelings for me, I'll lose her friendship and I seriously don't want that"
After my meetings, I went home.
When I opened the front door, I heard laughing.. I knew Ness was still here.
I walked into the living room and sat next to them.
"Hey girls" I said
"Hey" They replied
"Mel, we are flying to France tomorrow" I said
"What? Why?" She asked
"Because uncle Matt is there and grandma wanted us to come and visit her" I told her.
"You have a brother?" Ness asked surprised
I laughed "Yeah Matthew is 3 years younger than me" I said
"And they freaking look alike" Mel said "When I was little, I thought they were twins"
Ness laughed "Seriously?"
"And you once thought Matt was me when he came to pick you up from daycare" I told Mel
She laughed. "Long time no see" She said "Do you have picture of him now?"
I grabbed my phone and went to see his Whatsapp profile picture. I tapped on it and showed Mel.
Ness looked over her shoulder. "Damn! You guys seriously look alike" She said "You guys have pictures together?"
"Yeah" I scrolled down my phone and showed her a picture together
"Damn!!" She said surprised "You sure you guys aren't twins?"
I laughed "Yeah I'm sure" I said still laughing "I'm 30 he is 27"
"Ohh by the way dad!! Ness is going on a date with Kendrick!" Mel said excited
Wait! What?!
I faked a smile "Oh yeah? That's cool!" I said
She smiled at me "Yeah"
I looked down, I grabbed my phone and texted Jer.
Me: Jer, hit Eclipse?
Jer: Ight man, see yah in a bit.
Me: Ight bud.
"I'm going out, see you guys later"
"Where you're going dad?" Mel asked me
"Out with Jer" I said "Be back later"
I walked upstairs, changed my clothes and headed to Eclipse.
When I arrived, I parked my car and went in.
