Her eyes were glowing she jumped back against the wall as if the most terrifying thing had just happened
"W-what's happening" she let out with a painful scream broken with a voice crack
"Y/n what's wrong with your eyes.. and you in general"
"w-Weres Shirou" she was talking to someone but who
Then it snapped
She's completely lost
she can't hear me
I reached for her and shook her a little trying to wake her she was holding her head like she was in pain her ears plastered under her hands
She had tears streaming down her face she just kept whispering my name and mumbling help me in between
"SHIROU...HELP" she sounded desperate nothing else is wrong with her nothing physically at least
I got on the bed and sat in front of her trying to wake her but she didn't respond
"Dammit, y/n just wake up!" I was starting to get genuinely worried and irritated
if something happens to her that's on me
Then she stopped the silent cries were just silent she fell forward into my chest I was A bit confused for a moment I shook her but she was out cold
At least she didn't look troubled anymore
I let out a sigh of relief
I picked her up and laid her down correctly and since everything seemed okay I went back to bed but I couldn't stop thinking about why that happened
Your POV
~morning~
You woke up with a massive headache you tried getting up to go to the bathroom but you were dizzy
You went back to the room and saw Shirou was still asleep
"Shirou" you whispered "shirrooouuu" you whisper yelled
"shirouuuuuu" you whined
He turned around "what do you need"
"I have a headache," you said in a raspy whiney voice
"There's medicine downstairs ask Melisa"
"But I'm dizzzyyyy" you whined
He sighed and turned back around "just go back to bed then"
You proceeded to stand over him and poke his shoulder and say Shirou every time you poked him until you got what you needed
"Jesus, Fine," he said as he shot up out of bed you quickly followed behind him downstairs and into the kitchen where he pulled out a bottle of medicine gave it to you and grabbed a cup from another cabinet, and filled it with water and ice he gave you the water and took the medicine back
He opened the bottle and took out two small red tablets and gave them to you
You examined them for a second shrugged then threw the in your mouth you made a disgusted face "these are disgusting Shirou" he was now on the other side of the kitchen making coffee already
he looked over his shoulder at you "you're supposed to drink the water after you put it in Your mouth"
"Oh," you said sipping the water "ew the taste is still in my mouth" you pouted sticking your tongue out
Shirou handed you a bowl of little rainbow things you looked at it suspiciously "what is this" you said
"It's cereal trust me you'll like it it's loaded with sugar," he said leaning up against the counter
You took a slow bite of the cereal when it reached your mouth your eyes widened you smiled and started scarfing it down Shirou let out a small laugh at this
"So....do you have any idea what happened last night," Shirou said taking another sip of his coffee
You made a confused face and swallowed the last bite of your cereal "no why....did someone come after me" you panicked
"Y/n-
"I knew I wasn't gonna be safe there are so many people after me"

"I should just leave I don't wanna put you guys in dang-
"Y/N!" Shirou exclaimed
you kind of jumped a bit
"Nothing happened no one is after you and no one going to get you as long as you're under my protection you just started freaking out last night you had a bad dream that's all"
"O-oh I'm sorry," you said putting the bowl on the counter that was next to you
You turned around and went back upstairs silently embarrassed at yourself
You plopped down on your bed and dug your face into the mattress "uuugghhhh" you whined into the mattress after your little temper tantrum you got up and put on some new clothes
you ran downstairs but before you could reach the door you were caught by the one and only Shirou "where are you going"
"Out"
"I'm coming with you"
"Why must you be every were" you stated trying to get out out of his grasp
"If I let you go do you promise not to run away," he said irritated

"Ok, I-
As soon as he let you go you slipped used the door and out of the co-op building you let out a devilish laugh but that quickly ended when you ran into Shirou..again
"I just asked a thief to keep a promise so I guess that's on me," he said grabbing your wrist and dragging you into town "I wanna go by myself" you pouted "for a 19-year-old you do whine a lot"
"Do not" you whispered under your breath like a spoiled toddler "where are you even taking me?" you said still wiggling your wrist
"To make you an official citizen of anima city you have to sign a paper"
"I don't wanna do all that you do it," you said pulling backward you let out an exhausted irritated exhale "let me go," you said through your teeth as you started biting at his hand he didn't flinch "don't make me put you on a leash" you looked up at him with the same eyes you had the first time he caught you and you just stared for a minute "your the one wearing the damn collar stupid dog," you said in a more sarcastic tone as you started kicking his hand you were super exhausted at that point but you got an idea "hey shirou what do you do when your exhausted"
He gave you the side eye then quickly looked forward again "you rest"
"Correct," you said plopping down on the sidewalk laying flat with only your hand up that Shirou was holding he stared at you for a minute you had
a childish smile on your face thinking you got your way Shirou let your hand go but soon after he grabbed your waist and threw you over his shoulder "UGH" you let out a guttural groan
At that very moment, you got another idea
You flipped yourself to where your legs were on each side of his shoulders and you pulled yourself up now you were sitting on his shoulders he thought it was just a childish game so he grabbed on to your ankles as you hold onto backpack straps but you stood up on his shoulders and pushed him back propelling yourself forwards and him backward
You finally got out of his grasp oh ran as fast as you could throughout the fast city you looked behind you Shirou wasn't there
you snickered to yourself as you ran in between the buildings and once you made it to the park with the stands and fountain you finally had time to rest you got a cone of f/f ice cream
and sat on the bench after you were done you didn't realize you had accidentally turned into your beastman form and you were..wagging your tail? You quickly turned back into a human and made a weirded-out face at your new feature
Shirou was going to make fun of you for it after you called him a dog
The sky had a film of dark now covering its light you yawned as you walked back to the co-op with your eyes locked on the ground as you kicked a rock after a few minutes of walking and kicking you ran into someone thinking nothing of it you just mumbled sorry and kept walking "y/n"
You lazily brought your head up and looked over it was michru your eyes widened with excitement as you hugged her "uh y/n your tail" she giggled you quickly got off her and changed back into your human form as you mumbled profanities at your tail "Shiro sent me out to look for you"
"Oh well we can get back there faster if you want," you said now full of energy like the tiredness you just felt melted away faster than that Ice cream "o-ok" she hesitated "now get on my back" you smiled Turing into your beastman form
Mirichu got on your back and held on to your fur "your fur is really soft" she said kind of snuggling it "thanks" you said getting in a running position "here..we..GOO" you said taking off Michiru had dug her face into your fur out of fear but eventually she brought her head up she had noticed that you were going the wrong way you weren't heading for co-op "uh y/n" she yelled over the wind "yeah?" you yelled too "you're going the wrong way" she stated looking back "no...I'm not" you smirked you came to halt once you reached the edge of the bay you set Michiru down
You slowly walked over to the concrete wall you put both your hands down on it carefully and leaned over you closed your eyes and smelt the air so many memories came flooding in but that alone still couldn't drown out the broken ones your true smile quickly turned into a sad one the flood of memories escaping through your eyes you turned back into your human form as the tears started streaming down your face the sky began to cry with you
"Y/n...are you okay" Michiru had appeared next to you "when- you sniffled and whipped your face "oh yea I-I'm fine just allergies," you said with that fake sort of smile
she smiled at you to
"Must I do everything for you Tanuki"
"OH SHIROU I was just um we were just um" Shirou gave her a threatening glare she let out a sigh and looked at the ground "she brought us here BUT I promise I told her to go back it's just that-
"Don't get yourself in trouble Michiru?" you said turning around exposing your tear-stained face and crooked smile "beside...it was my fault?" you said jumping off the wall artificial happiness masking your face as you walked straight past Shirou not daring to look him in the eyes? "I thought coming here would make me feel better but I was wrong so let's just go back" you turned into your beastman and started running again overwhelmed with emotions ready to burn them off
when you got back to co-op you changed into your human form

and another guy with red hair was there "oh hello you must be miss l/n I don't think we've been properly introduced" you hummed your response walking past her too you went up to shirous room and sat on your bed you looked around the dark room you saw your cloak it was your mothers you put it on just to feel some kind of comfort your mind so scattered it horrified you to be clueless because cluelessness is weakness
You set up your arms on your knees and buried your face in them
You were so overwhelmed you didn't know what to do you cried loudly but not loud enough for anyone downstairs to hear
*knock knock*
You stopped crying and looked at the door slowly sniffling every now and then
"Is it okay if I come in" it was Shirou his voice sounded softer it was comforting too you hummed a yes he slowly opened the door and walked in "you okay?" he said sitting directly in front of you "yes.....no..shirou I can't do this anymore I'm weak I freak out over everything I just mess everything up I- I just-
"I don't think you weak"
"What" you sniffed
"Well if you were weak do you think you would've made it this far"
"I guess not"
"If your weak do you think you would've got past me the first day we met"
"No"
"So why, huh why do you think you're so weak-
"Because I couldn't save my mother and get away from my dad I'm fucking weak and useless" you snapped that sentence had shattered you into a million pieces
You started to cry again but you were quieter this time Shirou was silent he didn't wanna make you anymore upset he got up as he was about to leave but you grabbed him by his shirt you looked up at him for a few seconds before pulling him into you
You hugged him tightly and dug your face into the crook of his neck as you started to bawl Shirou didn't know what to do you were obviously in pain so the only choice he had was to comfort you he wrapped his arms around you
You were shaking a bit and letting out choppy breaths Shirou was warm it felt nice "if this helps you then by all means I will stay here with you"
