It's almost one month after Hae Jin accepted Jay's love for her and she's getting more anxious as their relationship grows longer . Her and Jake's secret deal was haunting her that she can't take it anymore but she doesn't know how to tell it to her lover . She really wanted to tell it to him but afraid that Jay might lose his trust on her or might look at her differently . She's so afraid .
Ever since they became a couple , both of them decided not to hide any secrets to each other . By that , Jay knew that her mom severely sick due to cancer . She hides the fact that Jake had helped her for her mom's medications and therapy multiple times in exchange of their secret deal .
But for the record , Hae Jin didn't do anything aside from keeping her friendship with Ni-ki . Ni-ki was the one who first made a move for them to be friends . She didn't even had an effort to it . She didn't made him fall for her , she doesn't even try in the first place . Because she knows Ni-ki's heart was for Shaira and no one else . Instead , she just accepted Jay's love for her because she also loves him dearly .
It wasn't her intention to get Jay's attention , but as months passes by .. she fells that Jay was so sincere in pursuing her . Yes , she had a crush at Jay ever since the day they first met . He was her knight in shining armor , her saviour .. She owes him big time but aside from that , she admires Jay for who he is .
He's that guy that you would feel comfortable and safe whenever he's by your side . He's so reliable and she loves him for that . He has a kind and soft heart for the poor , he doesn't think of himself high . Even he is from a well-known and wealthy family , he's still keeping his feet on the ground . That's how she fells for him , because he's so genuine .
But even though she knows Jay would try to understand her if she tells him her secret , there's a bit hesitation growing inside her heart .
What if he'll hate her ? What if he'll push her away after she confessed ? She's only thinking the negative come out .
Also there's another problem , it's Ni-ki . He is a dear friend to Hae Jin and she doesn't want to hurt him if he'll know about it . He once pushed away his most loved person .. he could do that again especially to her because she's just a friend , a new known friend . She doesn't want to broke Ni-ki's trust but she didn't predicted that they'll gonna be this close in the end .
All she thinks that time when she and Jake made this deal was her mom .. She doesn't think of what it may result in the end . She doesn't even think that she might hurt someone's feelings .
She's now at Jay's apartment fidgeting her hand as she look anxiously at Jay who's cooking carbonara , her favorite .
Jay invited her today because it's their monthsary celebration and the girl was so tired of their classy dates so instead of going to those , they'll just going to celebrate it in Jay's apartment and just cook it himself .
"love , are you okay ? You've been so quiet " Jay asked her while boiling some water for the pasta .
" I'm okay love " she couldn't make an eye contact ..
Jay looked at her girlfriend who's forcing herself to not look at him in the eyes . ' What is her problem ?' He asked in his mind then a thought suddenly crossed his mind
" oh my gosh .. love , are you thinking of something that might happen after the date ? " He shamelessly asked his girlfriend who's still playing with her fingers . He thinks of their last date that he also brought Hae Jin in his apartment where they almost do that thing . Good thing both of them come into their senses and stopped it before it's too late .
" No ! I mean .. I'm not thinking about that " she defended herself because it was not the thing that's invading her mind right now .. She looked away from her boyfriend blushing as she remembered their last date where she almost gave herself to him
" Then why are you blushing huh ?! You remember it when .. " he moved closer to her as he whispered but cutted off by Hae Jin
" Stop bringing that up Jay .. you're embarrassing me " she hides her face then walked away from her lover .
" Sorry love .. but it's okay if you want to do it later .. I won't judge you hehe " He said teasingly and loud for her to hear and giggled at the sight of her girlfriend being red as a tomato
" gosh she's so cute .. " he cooed then just continued cooking . After few minutes , he served Hae Jin's favorite
" Here's your food madame .. " Jay put her food in front of her and giving her his signature smile
" thanks love .. I'll enjoy this " she told the older
" lets eat ?! " Jay said then she just nodded . After they devoured the food , they rested a bit before washing the dishes
" I'm doing the dishes love .. you must be tired from cooking " she offered then went to the sink . Minutes after , she went back to where she last saw Jay .
" It's still early , what shall we do ? " Jay asked his girlfriend who's walking closer to him
" let's talk ? " she said then snuggled closer to him
" What do you want to talk ? About our future ? Don't worry , I'll give you a comfortable and happy life , love .. At what age do you want to get married ? So I could prepare for my proposal " He said that made the girl look at him and smile sweetly before she opened her mouth to speak
" I would love to be your wife love but that's not what we're going to talk about now " she simply said pinching Jay's cheeks
" Then what is it ? Is it about earlier ? We don't have to talk about it , just kiss me and I'll do the rest " he said in a teasing tone but the girl didn't fall for it .. instead , she hit Jay's shoulder then Jay let's out a loud 'aw!' she just laughed at her boyfriend's cuteness
" Don't be a tease love .. We can do it soon after we got married . But that's not my concern now .. It is just .. I can't even say " Jay looked at her attentively listening to her " I've been hesitant so many times to confess something to you because I'm afraid you'll get angry at me " she lowered her head as she continues
" go on love , whatever it is .. just say it I won't judge .. I'll try my best to understand it then we can sort things out and make solutions to it .. " He said to her that made her feel at ease . She gathered all her confidence to start her words
" just promise you won't get angry at me "
" I promise " he said as he hugged her at her back then kissed the top of her head .. He thinks that Hae Jin must be shy to say whatever it is so he just turned her away from him
"Jake .. " Jay tilted his head as she mentioned his friend's name .. Why is he involved ?
" Jake and I had a secret deal before .. He forced me to do this job . He knew my background , and he knows that I'm in need of money that time .. My mom's life was at stake that time and I couldn't refuse his offer even though I know it's bad " she paused for a moment and leaned closer to Jay's chest .. Jay just softly touched her head
" He said that I must befriend Ni-ki and make him fall in love with me " Jay gasped .. she could feel Jay's heartbeat racing through his chest . She changed her position and faced him to look at him in his eyes
" I wanted to refuse it at first , love .. but he said he'll shoulder all the medications and the therapy for my mom that I immediately agreed to it without even knowing what's his reason behind all of this .. Eventually that day came when me and Ni-ki became friends , but he's the one who befriend me .. you know it " Jay just nodded
" I didn't do anything for our deal actually but he just continued supporting for my mom's medications . I'm thankful for him for doing that .. You could say that I'm just using him because I didn't do my part " she laughed thinking about how stupid Jake is
" After me and Ni-ki became friends , he told me everything that had happened to him even that part about Shaira .. I knew he loves her so much that I couldn't do the next task , to make him fall for me .. and also that time , I'm already in love with someone else " Jay couldn't hide his smile and tomato cheeks
" yes , it's you love .. " she cupped Jay's face then pecked him in his lips
" anyways , I knew that Jake and Shaira was best friends .. and a thought came to me that Jake must be inlove with her for him to make this mess . He just wanted to prove that Ni-ki had already moved on with another girl . So he'll have a chance with Shaira . I knew he took pictures of Ni-ki and me whenever he's at the shop . Everytime Jake's at the cafe , the thing that we talked about was the deal .. That time when Ni-ki saw me crying , Jake's the reason of it ..he threatened me to stop supporting my mom if I don't do what he said and also he'll tell you that I have a crush on you " she lowered her head as she said the last part .. she's so shy to admit that she had a crush on him for a long time
It is Jay's time to kiss her now .. he hugged her after then whispered " don't be shy , I had a crush on you since the first day we met "
" really ? me too " they just both laughed
" I know he sends those pictures to Shaira .. And I feel that he really knows where she is but didn't tell you " Hae Jin told her boyfriend " so love .. what can you say ? " she asked
" well umm , can you tell me again from the start ? I only remember the part when you said that you're already inlove with me that time and when you cried because Jake threatened you to tell me that you have a crush on me " he said jokingly but Hae Jin just rolled her eyes
" love , I'm serious .. are you not angry at me ?" she asked him but Jay was about to laugh
" Why would I ? I promised you to not be angry , so why would I be angry to you ? You're so hilarious love " he chuckled
" really love ? that's your reaction ? I'm expecting you to freak out since I've been working with the devil and plotting some bad plans to your beloved child " she can't believe why Jay is so cool about it
" from what I heard love , you didn't to anything for him .. just the part where you agreed to him and nothing else so I'm not angry but proud instead haha " he laughed again
" proud ? why?" she's so confused
" come to think of it .. Jake's one of those intelligent person that I know but you just deceived him hahaha this is forever be hilarious " it made Hae Jin laugh also ..she really thinks Jake is stupid
" He's so keen but stupid at the same time .. So fool for love " Jay said wiping his tears for laughing so hard
" Are you not angry that he made this to Ni-ki ?" she asked her boyfriend who's embracing her now
" I am .. but I understand him , of course . But also , I won't tolerate this . I'll just talk to Heeseung hyung and Sunghoon about this " he answered
"I'm afraid they'll hate me after they know everything " she pouted .. he kissed her pouting lips but then she pushed him away from her
" Why are you pushing me ? You don't love me now ?" he said and forced himself to cry but even a single tear won't come out so he just acted that he's crying
" you're so dramatic love ..come here " she petted him like a dog
" don't worry love , they won't hate you .. I'll make sure of that . You must tell it to them personally and I promise I'll be there to protect you if something happens .. so don't think about it for now " he reassured
" okay ? so when will we meet them ? You should call Heeseung now .. " She suggested but Jay just shook his head
" I have a time for him tomorrow love .. all my time today is just for you " he seductively said which made her cringe at the moment
" what are you trying to say ? " she asked raising her right eyebrow
" well , love .. if you want , I mean if you need .." he said slightly leaning over and caressing Hae Jin's shoulder but he didn't finished what's he is saying when Hae jin slap his hand and pushed him away from her almost throwing him on the floor
" yah ! I need to go home now Mr. Park and from now on you don't have a girlfriend anymore . bye !" she said grabbing her jacket and bag " but let me kiss you for the last time love " she said then leaned to kiss Jay who's now at the floor
" hey love don't leave just yet . I'm sorry , I won't do it again " he said holding Hae Jin's hands pleading her to not leave him
" I'm just joking Jay .. get up . You look like a loser there . " she said then dropped her bag and jacket on the table then helped Jay to stand up
" I thought you're serious there .. I'm afraid you'd leave me " She felt pity for her boyfriend ..she didn't mean to joke him like that but he's a tease ..
" I won't do that to you Jay Park but I need to go home .. my brother is probably looking for me now " she told him
" alright , I'll drive you home "

The next day , Jake was so frustrated about his new branch of boutique somewhere in Seoul that he wants to open as soon as possible without going back to the country he has to stay in Australia for quite some time . There are some documents that was left in his apartment that is needed for the permit to operate . He have his trusted employees but he can't let them barge into his house even with permission . So he called Sunghoon to do him the favor . He only trusted his friend to enter his apartment .

" bro , I'll go straight to the point .. I need your help " Jake said through the line
"huh? You don't even ask me how I am but okay .. what is it ? " Sunghoon asked his friend
" I need you to enter my apartment and get some documents I left there for the new branch that I'm opening .. then hand it to my secretary " He said in an ordering tone
"You don't even say please .. And also you have your freaking secretary .. why me of all the people ? gosh I'm resting here just fine before you called " He said and not willing to do what his friend ordered him
" I'll just make it up to you when I get back .. So , please just do it . I don't trust other people to enter my apartment " He made sure that Sunghoon would hear the word please by saying it clearly but in sarcastic tone
"yeah yeah fine .. I'll do it Mr. Sim " Sunghoon answered him through the line rolling his eyes though Jake can't see it
" okay mate .. I'm counting on you .. "
" but where is it exactly ?" Sunghoon asked
" The drawer on my table , on the right side I guess ? I'm not really sure .. you can just search for it but it's just on my table " He said
"Do you need it now ?"
" yeah .. " he replied
" alright I'm on my way to your apartment .. same code right ?"
"yes hoon .. Call me later if you already found it .. I have to go now .. bye " Just then Jake ended the call

Sunghoon went to Jake's apartment to do his mission . He pressed the code to unlock it then entered right away . First things first , he headed to Jake's study room to find the documents he needed . He couldn't find it on the right drawer so he opened all the drawers one by one ..
He found the documents in a folder but then when he looked further inside of the drawer , he saw some envelopes stacked together .
And because he is a curious person , and he was so intrigued by the letters because he knows that it came from abroad by the looks of it so he get it to know who is it came from .
He gasped when he saw that it was from Shaira ..
" woah they've been sending letters but why is it he didn't told us ?" he asked confusedly
" And also why is it unopened ? It's from Shaira , his best friend .. Why didn't he open it yet ? " Then he saw a cute writing .. 'To Riki'
He was shocked at what he saw .. So all this time Shaira was sending letters to Ni-ki? Sunghoon thought as he scans all the letters from the outside .. all of them had the 'To Riki' on it and it's definitely for Ni-ki .. Why is it Jake didn't give it to him? The date here was already years ago .. the newest was a year ago . He couldn't believe Jake didn't give it to Ni-ki .
What is his purpose of it actually ? Why is he hiding it ? Is he up to something ? He questioned in his mind .. So he decided to call Jake for confirmation .. He has to know it from him .
