Hubris flows as easily as my ink:
A double-edged sword
On the brink of a new idea.
But I must reign in my excitement, and consult the writing books
Regardless of my fast-paced prose
Chastising me for reading during a fight scene.
I'm a warrior who learns by experience
A recipe for disaster, as messy as it looks
But I vow to breathe life into the skin and bones of my story
Squeezed between my studies, to write and rewrite
Under my bedroom lights
In a high-rise.
