Early in the morning Katalina  woke up to the sound of bird's  chirping outside her window.
As she climbed out of her bed, she went to draw back the curtains to discover a beautiful sunrise.

Grabbing  herself some  clean clothes, she quickly went had herself a shower and got changed into a black, white and
dark turquoise meium-length wrap dress with bell-shaped sleeves,  as well as a pair of  sandals and a short vest.
She than applied a touch of black  eye-liner, some lipgloss and tied her hair back into a  fishtal.

After heading into the kitchen and grabbing herself a coffee, she than headed outside to  sit on the porch.

Bouncing  around all over the place, Maximous nudged a ball in her direction as he barked and wagged his tail with
excitement.

" Oh you want to play fetch!"she said bending down to pick up the tennis ball and threw it.
Maximous  took off  like a rocket after the ball, catching it  midair, than running back and dropping it at her feet.

Jumping around  like a jack-rabbit waiting for Katalina to throw the ball again,Maximous  let out a massive loud  bark.
She picked  up the ball and threw it once more.
He took off after the ball and slid across the grass straight into the fence....SMACK!
Shaking  it off, he picked up the tennis ball, wobbled back over to Katalina  and dropped it at her feet.
Picking up the now very slobbered on ball, she shook her hand and said, "Yuck, gross boy. You sure did a damn good
job of slobbering over this ball. Okay you big lug, last one.... FETCH!!"

Five minutes  later she made her way to work. When she finally  arrived, she found Dayana  flat out loading up the
oven with freshly made pies and sausage  rolls.

"Good morning,  beautiful day isn't it? " she said as she grabbed her apron and started organizing  herself.
Dayana  nodded her head yes, as she continued on with what she was doing.

Work was hectic.

There was banging and clanging of pots and pan's  as they went about whipping up all sorts of cakes, buns, slices
and different kinds of bread.

The aromas coming from the bakery kitchen, was a combination of fruity,  lemony and minty... but gee's it smelt
bloody good.

No sooner had they stacked the shelves, the customers  cleared them  all  out.
One customer  in particular had brought 2 cheesecakes, 4 vanillia slices, 2 sausage rolls, 6 pies, 6 loafes of bread
and a bottle of milk.

"Did you happen to see what old man Beezley brought today? Bloody hell- it was enough to feed  a damn army.
Poor old Mrs Knox was standing there dumbfounded  and looked like she was about to asked him if he wanted
the kitchen sink to go with it," Dayana  laughed.
Katalina  looked at her and shook her head no.

By the end of the day, both girl's were completely  exhausted.  It had been awhile since the bakery had ever been
that busy.

"Thank goodness  that's  all over and done with. I'm absolutely  buggered. Now comes the fun part of trying to drag
my ass home,"Dayana  said as she hang up her apron.
"Do I hear a note of sarcasm  in that statement. "
"A note? More like symphony! "

After they had locked up shop, they decided to go get a coffee before calling it a day.

Once they ordered and paid for their lattes, both Katalina  and Dayana  went sat down in the booth near the window
facing onto the main street. When all of a sudden Katalina  noticed her mystery man standing  over in the far corner
by the jukebox.

She just sat there in a daze starring  straight back at him.
Dayana  had noticed the sudden change in her friend and asked if everything was alright.

Katalina looked at her strangly and said," Huh... did you say something? "
"Well yeah I did. For Fuck's sake.... what's wrong with you?  You look as if you've  just seen a fucken ghost."

Katalina laughed nervously, but kept her eyes glued on the mystery man  as she pointed in the direction  of
where he was standing  and told Dayana.

She rolled her eyes as if to say, "here we go again," as she told her friend she didn't  see anyone.
Than asked if she was postived she actually saw him.

Katalina nodded  her head and asured her she could see him as clear as day, cause he was stand right next
to the jukebox  looking straight back at her.

Dayana  simply lost it and told her outright that she couldn't  see anyone.
" Are you sure your not seeing thing's?  You didn't  bump or hit your head?"

"God DAMN IT!  NO I  did not hit my fucken head. I swear hecwas just there.  I'm not seeing thing's  and I'm  sure
as hell not imagining  shit neither," she said as she slammed her hand down on the table.

"Fair enough than,  explain  to me if you can, why is it no-one else desides you can see this guy? Oh I know  why -
it's  cause he's non existence!"

Katalina  buy this time had enough and she stormed right out of the coffee shop; almost knocking  over an innocent
bystander  in the progress.

She was spewing  -in fact she was past spewing -she was Pissed!
"How dare she talk to me this way.... she's suppose to be my best friend, and best friend's  certainly  don't  talk that
way to each other. To fucken hell with her," she thought out loud.

Once back at the house, Katalina  took off her coat, hung it up on the rack, walked into the kitchen and grabbed
herself a cold drink.
She was still quite peeved with Dayana  as she muttered something  under her breath as she headed outside to sit
on the patio. Not noticing her brother Kova who had asked her a question.

"Hey are you even listening to me?"
Katalina  just starred at him, as her mind was elsewhere.

"So I  take it you and Dayana  had some sort of disagreement? "
She looked at him and asked how did he know that.  He just smiled and told her he overheard her mumbling
as she came in through the front door.  But he asured her that everything  would be fine in a few days or so.

Katalina  shook her head and told Kova she highly doubt  it. Cause what Dayana  had said to her, hurt like a
knife and she wasn't  going to give her anytime  soon.
Kova shooked his head as he told her that they were both as stubborn as a damn  mule.

Meanwhile,  Kova went about setting the table and just started dishing out the tuna casserole  as both Katalina
and their father walked into the kitchen and took a seat.

"Something sure does smell nice son," Kova's father said taking a big whiff as he picked up his knife and fork
and started digging in.

Not long after dinner,  they all vamoosed to the lounge-room  for a bit of a nightcap before turning in for the  night.

Katalina pulled back the bed covers, climbed into her bed and made herself comfortable as she laid back to read a book.

Half an hour later, she was out like a light. She slipped into a deep meanful sleep and soon found herself inside
this small house which looks like an old castle and is in terrible condition. The interior is done in colors that remind
you of a night shade plant. The yard is small and looks very formal. Also, it's rumored to be built over and old burial
ground.

She had no idea how or why she was doing there.... But she knew there must be a logical  explanation  behind it all.

Unlike any of her previous  dreams, there definitely  was something  different  about this one and even though the
place creeped her out and sent chills down her spine, she couldn't  help the need to explore and find out more about
this run down old house.

As she proceed throughout the house, the old light's  flickered on and off and the floor board's  moaned and creeked
underneath  her feet.
In almost every room, paint was flaking away from the walls. Old paintings hung on the walls only by a thread and they
faded rapidly  over time. If you looked closely, you'd even swear they were starring right through your very soul.
There were cobs in every corner  of the room's and old faded laced curtains,  that looked as if they'd seen there days.

Coming from what seemed like the kitchen, was a loud banging, clacking and thundering noise.
How was that even possible,  when as far as she knew, she was the only person in this creepy old house.
But Katalina  being Katalina - couldn't  contain  herself.... Off she fled  to the kitchen.
However, what she discovered  in there, blew her mind.

Sitting on top of the old cast iron stove, seemed to be 4 pots of some disgusting,  putrid looking brew bubbling away.
Phew it really did stink!

How on earth was that even possible?   The house was as old as the hills and nobody had lived here in years.

None the less, how do you explain the pots, eye-droplets, wooden spoons, test tudes and some sort of spell book
spread out all over the benches.
Who's was it, and what we're they doing here?
None of it made any sense.

Just as she was about to step out of the kitchen, she noticed a bright light glowing through the floor boards.
Going over to find out exactly  where the light was coming from, Katalina  discovered a trapdoor.

"Interesting," she thought. "Now let's  see what serects your hiding under here," she said as she lifted the
trapdoor and lowered herself down a small set of stairs.

The room was all decked out with bottles on bottles full of herbs, froglegs, brews,  lotions, and all kinds of
other weird stuff. Books, plenty more books on witchcraft. And it looked like the person using all this stuff,
had been using it for awhile. But for what reason and why the hell this old house.
All these questions,  but no answers.....

However, Katalina  wasn't  going to let sleeping dogs lay.

She started checking everything out, but as she came to a small table, she spotted a dagger with blood on it.
As she reached out to pick it up to have a closer  look, the room suddenly  went pitch black and that was the
last thing she remembered  before hitting the floor.

Coming back through, she heard,"Woah, are you okay?" Looking up, she looked straight into the eyes of her
mystery man  and asked," W what happened  and why does my head hurt?"

Drayce  looked at her, as he helped her back up and told her he has no idea. He just found her on the floor knocked out.
"Did you see anyone?" he asked.
"Not that I  remember, " she told him.
"Okay, well let me help you. We need to get you back home safely  and into bed, as your going to have one hell of a
bump on your head in the morning. "
"That suits me to a tee, as I  don't  think I  want to be here anymore," she told him.

And before she could  say another word, she was back home in the comfort  of her own bed.
