Narrators POV:

Saturday came faster than (Y/N) expected.
The time on her phone was 8:57 the last time she checked it.

She picked her pace up seeing how she's still two corners away.

Her heels rhythmically clicked against the cobblestones underneath her feet, wind blew past her ruffling her hair up like a father giving his child a peach.
The music oozing from her earphones speakers made the whole experience enjoyable.

As, she approached the small store she noticed a figure waiting outside.

Upon closer inspection she noticed the buff body build and the buzz cut.
“Sorry for being late” she panted out she reached him.
Deus looked in the direction the voice came from and noticed her hunched over breathless from.

Well...

Breathless was a word that by that point was a way to describe him too.

He felt his breath getting stuck in his lungs as he scanned her over.
The black lace dress hugged her curves in all the right places and the heels added a few centimeters to her height.

She was still short compared to him but her choice of footwear also seemed to help her posture.

He stopped ogling at her as he said "It's
alright”
After a few more seconds she finally caught her breath, and they began walking to the ice cream parlor.

The cool wind felt soothing in comparison to the suns burning heat.

“How's your hand?” Deus asked her trying to take a look at the injured limb.
“It's fine. Still hurts a bit, but that's all.
No need to worry” she said trying to ease his worries.
“You really should be more careful”
“I know. I know, sorry”.

As, the two arrived to the store they noticed the miles long queue.

The (h/c) inwardly gulped.
Even the possibility of those people staring at her or being near her caused her anxiety to rise.
She bit down on her lower lip to try to relieve some of it.

He glanced over at his companion and seen a blanket of fear covering over the gentle look residing in her (e/c) orbs.

“Are you okay?”
“I'm fine” the (h/c) tried to be convincing with her lie yet one single look at him showed that he wasn't buying it at all.

“Do you... hate being around people?” He asked hitting bullseye with his question. The girl nodded.
“ I just don't really like crowds, that's all...” she trailed off.

“Then.... Do you want to go somewhere else?”
“ No need. I'll be fine.”

After, hearing this he sent her a worried look.
Even her voice was trembling, it was so obvious that she's afraid.

“Really, it'll be ok. I'm fine with waiting.” She reassured him with a forced smile.

Deus reached out and grabbed her hand.
“Squeeze my hand if you can't take it anymore, alright?”
She quickly nodded before trying to swat away the miniature blush dusting her cheeks.

A few minutes later a buzz came from her pocket.

'Hm?' she hummed to herself fishing her phone out of the jacket tied around her waist.
'A new message?' she cocked a brow as she opened it.

𝚏𝚛𝚘𝚖 𝚄𝚗𝚔𝚗𝚘𝚠𝚗:
𝙾𝚑 𝚖𝚢 𝙲𝚊𝚗𝚊𝚛𝚢, 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍𝚗'𝚝 𝚋𝚎 𝚜𝚞𝚌𝚑 𝚊 𝚋𝚊𝚍 𝚐𝚒𝚛𝚕.
𝙲𝚑𝚎𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚘𝚗 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚋𝚘𝚢𝚏𝚛𝚒𝚎𝚗𝚍 𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜?
𝚃𝚜𝚔 𝚝𝚜𝚔 𝚝𝚜𝚔
𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍 𝚕𝚎𝚝 𝚐𝚘 𝚘𝚏 𝚑𝚒𝚖 𝚋𝚎𝚏𝚘𝚛𝚎 𝙸 𝚌𝚞𝚝 𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚊𝚛𝚖 𝚘𝚏𝚏.

𝙷𝚎 𝚌𝚊𝚗'𝚝 𝚠𝚘𝚛𝚔 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚍𝚜, 𝚗𝚘𝚠 𝚌𝚊𝚗 𝚑𝚎?

The (h/c) was frozen in her spot as her mind deciphered the message.

*bzzzt*
𝙱𝚞𝚝 𝙸 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚝𝚘 𝚜𝚊𝚢.
𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚍𝚘 𝚕𝚘𝚘𝚔 𝚊𝚖𝚊𝚣𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚒𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚍𝚛𝚎𝚜𝚜 𝚏𝚛𝚘𝚖 𝚋𝚎𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚍.

She spun around on her heel trying to catch a glimpse of the creep who's messing around with her.

Numerous people were on their phones in the line behind her, so it would take a lifetime of luck to find the person amongst them.
After, all some of them looked really suspicious.

She turned back around
'Maybe I should tell Deus about this' she thought before shaking the idea off.

'No way, it might just be a sick prank'
'but what if it's not?' a sigh escaped her which got her companies attention.

“Is everything okay?”
“ Yeah... She trailed off. “ My arm just hurts a bit that's all.”
“Oh sorry” He said instantly letting go.

“ Was my grip too strong?”
She shook her head to the concerned looking ravenette.

With her anxiety now on top accompanied by the strong feeling of being watched (Y/N) tried to focus on something else to calm herself down a bit.

She started counting how many people were still in the line before them.
1
2
3
...
19

19 people were waiting impatiently for their cooling treat before the (h/c) and her acquaintance.

She cursed her lack of fortune.

At the only time where getting away would be the most important she's stuck in an almost inhumanly long queue with someone she can't even leave there.

A defeated sigh broke out of her as her shoulder slumped.
This is going to take forever...

Yandere POV:

I watched her anxious form feeling quite hurt due to her lack of verbal response.

It was entertaining to see her spin around and check the area for me.

I don't like seeing her scared but the thought of her looking for me made my heart skip a beat.
The fact that she listened to me and let go of that vermin's hand also counted as a positive outcome.

A content sigh escaped my lips as I rested my gaze on her from.
Even from so far away she looks so angelic.

The way her (h/l) (h/c) is gently moved by the breeze, the way the fabric of her dress blows slightly behind her, the way the sunshine radiates off of her (s/t) skin.

No wonder she stole my heart.

Her looks is just an extra.

Her kindness, generosity, friendliness and loving nature can't even be mentioned on the same page as that.

But her voice...

Oh my god, her voice is the most beautiful melody I've ever heard.

It's so full of emotions, full of warmth...
It's simply just enticing.

Ever since I started watching over her her songs never failed to bring tears to my eyes.

They sound so real, so heavenly…

Her voice is sweet like honey to my ears.

I can't wait to hear her call out my name with such a sweet tone.

Just the thought of her looking at me so lovingly, talking to me in that gentle tone of hers tempts me to just walk up to them and save her from that vermin's grasp.

But...

I can't.

She doesn't recognize me yet…
She doesn't see me in that way yet...

I shook my head trying to get rid of that voice telling me lies.

She remembers me.

She loves me!

Obviously! She knows that I'm hers and that she's mine!

As, I faced forward again my heart dropped to my stomach.

Where is she!?

She was here just a second ago!

That bastard must have stolen her away!

Seeing how the line moved forward the calming realization struck me.
She just went inside, that's all.

Narrator POV:

The girl looked at the selection with a childlike joyful glint in her eyes.
“Hey, welcome.
What would you two like?” The young cashier asked them.
“ A scoop of salty caramel” answered Deus.

“And your girlfriend?”
Both his and (Y/N)s cheeks flushed bright red at the misunderstanding.

“ We aren't together!” She exclaimed with her cheeks further darkening.
“Sorry.” the cashier muttered.

"So what do you want?”
“ One scoop of lavender and a scoop of tiramisu please”
“ Okay”

She reached for her wallet as the requested flavors were scooped out.

“Don't, I got this” Deus stopped her.

She shook her head and said
“No, I'll pay mine. You don't have to treat me” while handing her money over to the woman at the cash register.

'She's quite stubborn' he concluded to himself.

“Do you want to go somewhere else?” He asked her as they stepped outside.
“ I was planning on going to the bookstore”
“Let's go then”
He said walking beside her.

“But. Don't you have work today?”
Deus shook his head
"No, I don't. I have a day off.”
“ Oh, I see.”

That was all that came to the girls mind as they made their way to the nearest Libri.

Upon entering the building he witnessed that particularly enchanting reaction of hers again.

The way she lights up around the things she likes was blindingly obvious, yet it did have a kind of charm to it.

The way her big (e/c) eyes sparkle as she wanders around the shop, the smiles she sends the staff and the way she's hopping and stretching to reach the books too far up for her to reach all just served as reasons that made him smile like a lovesick fool.

“So… What book are you looking for?”
“I don't have a specific one I'm interested in, so I might just buy something from Gabriella Eld or from Darren Shan, and then we can go if you want to.” She said without sparing him a glance.

“ Why them of all writers? Why not Jane Austen or something?”
“Because I don't read her books while Darren Shan was my favorite as a preteen.
And Gabriella Eld has a series I like and I also I find writing style nice”.

The more time they spent there the bigger the pile of books in her hands became.

She was able to find books ranging from The vows and honor all the way to Tarnished are the stars.

Deus looked at the pile with a raised eyebrow seeing how the pile will soon be bigger than her.

“Need a hand?” He asked her.
“No need, I got this.” She answered.

“ Why do you even want so many books?”
“ Because those two have some amazing ones.
And for the rest is because of the lgbt+
representation...
It's hard to find some of these, so I'll try to get as many as possible.
Plus...”

She trailed of avoiding eye contact with him before she continued.

“It also feels nice to see some ace representation…

The handful of books that have asexual characters in them make me feel glad to finally be able to read about my own sexuality.”

She added with a miniature smile ghosting her pink lips perfectly matching her bashfully reddened cheeks.

Deus was caught off guard by her sudden coming out but to her luck didn't voice a negative opinion.

He did hear about that sexuality once but never thought he'd meet someone who identifies as such.

After she purchased her reading materials they left the shop with him carrying a third of her things after coercing her into letting him help.

According to the offer he made back at the store he walked her home.

When they arrived in front of the cracked, crumbly looking old building he didn't want to part ways from her.

After she told him what she actually is they barely spoke, therefore the trip here was mostly filled with a tense, awkward silence.

He sighed before looking down into her (e/c) eyes that she always averted from his form.

“Look at me please” he slightly pleaded.

As, her hesitant (e/c) orbs met his amber ones he began.

“Listen, it's okay if you're not interested in that, what you feel or in your case don't feel doesn't define you.

I'll accept you either way, you know that right?”

Her eyes widened at this sudden confession.

So many times people tried to ridicule her for who she was and tried to change her that now getting the opposite reaction successfully took her off guard.

(Y/N), still stunned from the sudden acceptance was only able to muster out an “I know.” before they parted ways.

That day the young (h/c) did something so different from usual, even she, herself would have thought it to be a dream had she not experienced it.

She walked through the front door of her home with a smile residing on her face.
