Most people think living in England, London is an incredible thing. Well im here to tell you, not exactly. I live in Brixton, not the safest place but that doesn't bother me. I recently moved from America and didn't live in the best neighbourhood. A lot of robery and shootings. That didn't bother my dad aswell. Infact the only reason we moved here is because of my dads' girlfriend. May i also mention that they met online. I didn't think their relationship would last this long but i guess it did. Her name is Lily. She got an amazing job offer and 'it's a huge opportunity' her words not mine, and my hopelessly in love father couldn't stand to be a part. I also don't exactly know what she does for a living, can't you tell we have a great relationship...We aren't wealthy, my dad recently got a job as a mechanic, the same job he had in America.
My mom passed away about 4 years ago, when i was only 12. We were close, we had a normal mother-daughter relationship. I miss her, all the time. My dad hasn't really been there for me, i don't blame him. He's moved on, now i have to.
"Sam! Were going out, might be home late." My father yells from the other room.
We lived in a tiny flat, on the 7th floor. It was summer so i don't start school until later.
"Okay" I wave my hand.
"Dont wait up." Lily adds
She irritates me. My father never spends time with me becuase he's too busy with her. I could leave for a few days and they wouldn't realize. It's not like theyre ever home.
We've been living here for a few weeks. Today's the day i go out and explore.
