The lights dimmed as the music and y/n's playing quieted down.
You could see the pain in y/n's eyes when she thought back to that night. Hope knew what night, the night she caught her with Landon. And here she was sitting next to him with his arm around her shoulder, questioning if she made the right choice knowing it was probably too late.

The crowd once again started cheering leaving the group of friends smiling and pulled one another into a group hug.
Alaric started to announce another act while the group walked back stage thought the curtains laughing.
"Ok you know what Saltzman, I thank you for that. I really needed that and it was fun to do, so thank you all for making me do that" y/n said gratefully for the small push she needed
"Anytime Salvatore, that's what friends are for" Josie said kindly
"And since you are kinda like our cousin" Lizzie said with some sass, like normal.
"Thanks Liz" y/n said sarcastically
All Lizzie did was wink back.
"That was fun, we totally need to jam out together more" Mg said excitedly
"Agreed" Josie and y/n said at the same time making the duo laugh
"Well it's been a long day so I think I'm just gonna head up to my dorm before jed gets back" y/n said to the group making them nod knowing how annoying of a roommate jed can be.
The group said their good nights before all walking back to the dorms.
What y/n didn't know was that someone was determined to talk with her. And it was just about to happen.

I was almost back to my dorm when I heard someone walking behind me.
I shrugged it off thinking It was another student walking back to their dorm as well when all of a sudden I feel a couple taps on my left shoulder.
I turn around and freeze at who's standing in front of me.
Hope Andrea freaking Mikealson.
"Before you walk away and never talk to me again, I really need to talk to you and explain some things I didn't get a chance to last time" hope said sounding determined yet nervous
I sighed but thought maybe this could help give me that last bit of closure I know that both Josie and I need.
"Fine, we can go talk in my dorm before Jed gets back, but you've got five minutes after that" I told her sternly making her nod quickly
After we got back to my dorm I took a seat in the chair that jed and I have in the corner of our room.
Hope was just standing in the middle of our dorm looking like she doesn't know where to start.
"You only got four minutes Mikealson, you better make them count" I said just wanting her to get to the point considering we haven't said a word to each other the whole walk here.
"Sorry I just don't know where to start. Well I just wanted to apologise for doing the things i did, heading you sing those songs today made me realize the pain that Landon and I out you through, me more so than landon but still...
I know no amount of apologies can help fix the damage I've done, I should of told you about my feelings for Landon when they started and not lie to you about it....
There is so many things I wish I could change about how we ended but all I can say is I'm sorry that I hurt you the way I did, and I'm sorry that while you've been in your own personal hell I've been living my life, happy with Landon" hope said with years in her eyes, having to stop a couple times so she wouldn't cry.
I was on the verge of tears, I knew all of this was true but it was hard to hear.

I swallowed the lump in my throat before standing up from my chair to stand a couple feet in front of her with my arms crossed and my head down.
I cleared my throat before looking up to meet her eyes.

"Hope...." I started off, I've only really ever called her by her first name when something was wrong or I was being sentimental.
"... You might have thought that this was a good idea to come and talk to me...but if I'm being honest I'm not sure I'm ready to be around you yet, yes I know that you came here to apologise but all I know is that having you close to me and talking with you just brings more pain to my chest thinking about how we got here..."
Hope let a tear fall from her eyes and she listens to what I have to say, even if it hurts the both of us to hear
"I know that you feel guilty for waiting so long to tell me about your feelings for Landon, and lying, but you looked me right in the eyes.. and you lied to me telling me that you only love me and that you were just helping landon figure out more about his phoenix."
I took a shakey breath before Continuing.
Hope and I both trying our best not to cry.
"That all those times you would come back to my dorm late was because you to we're studying more theories..
Damn it hope! You were the first person I allowed myself to love since Allison!" I raised my voice a little at the end making her flinch a bit back not used to hearing me yell
"I know.. I know and I'm sorry.. I promised you I would never leave you like she did but here I am" she said with guilt letting her tears fall know
I let out a low sad chuckle
"Oh hope.. you think you know me, there are things I haven't told anyone here but a few, I can only tell those few since I can trust them with my secrets and my life. You didn't leave me the way she did and I'm forever grateful for that...but it still hurts almost as bad." I said thinking about my past in beacon hills with my cousin Scott and our best friend stiles as well as our pack.
"What do you mean, please I need to know" hope said sounding a little desperate at this point
"Hope, I'm a Salvatore true alpha. That doesn't just happen, my siblings are human like my parents are now. They're normal, and I was too up until I was 15 and I went to live with my aunt Melissa and cousin Scott up in beacon hills. Let's just say things happened and thankfully we still help to keep people safe.. but not all of us were able to make it out" I said above a whisper at the end
Due to hope's wolf hearing she heard it, whispering herself the name "Allison"
'And unfortunately she wasn't the only one' I thought to myself, saddened at the memories and reminder of my friends.
She moved closer to me, trying to rest her hand on my arm before I pulled away last second, wiping away the tear that had fallen
"I uh.. think it would be best for you to go" I said turning away from her

I heard walking towards the door before opening and closing.
I let out a shakey breath before letting a few more tears fall from my eyes.

Hope made it back to her room seeing it was empty, she figured landon decided to sleep in his room that he shared with raf.
She closed and locked her room door before leaning up against it letting her tears fall as she cried.
" I wish I could know what you went through there, I wish I could help you, I wish we could try to be better" hope whispered to herself.
Little did she know, her wish might just come true, but she might also drag some people Along the way unknowingly...
