The school bell started screaming, and every kid ran out of class. A boy named Edric shouted in happiness, and ran out of class with his friends and his sister, Emira. One student had been watching Edric for a few months, named Aqua. Edric was the it-boy in highschool, and Aqua was one of his admirer's. Aqua got up, and put his books in his backpack, then pulled it on. Aqua was a blue demon, with black horns, and was in the abominations track and the potions track. He walked out of class and transferred his books from his backpack to his locker. Aqua looked into his locker, thinking about Edric. He turned away from his locker, and started walking...then got knocked over. "Ow!" Aqua said in pain. "O-oh! Sorry for knocking you over," A voice that aqua had recognized said. Aqua looked up, and saw Edric, with his smooth green hair and catching smile, Aqua just had to blush. "It's Okay! um-it was an accident, so I won't blame you!" Aqua awkwardly replied. "No, it's all good. I'll help you clean up." Edric replied. "Thank you~" Aqua said. "So, what's your name?" Edric asked. Aqua quickly replied: "Aqua." "Edric, but you may know me since I'm kinda a big-shot here, I do remember you from class though, you're pretty cool." Edric replied. "COOL? THANKS...." Aqua replied. "No problemo, wanna hang at the library later?" Edric asked. "Yes!" Aqua replied. "Cool, see you later." Edric replied as he walked out the doors of Hexside. As Aqua was walking away from his locker, an oracle girl walked by him and said: "I know what you're trying to do, but I saw Edric first. He's mine, and not yours." She said. Aqua ignored Vora and walked away. "Hey! Nobody Walks away from Vora, especially low-lifes like you." Vora stated. "Hey! COME BACK!" Vora screamed. Aqua didn't have a care in the world though, and just walked out of Hexside. Ugh, what a bitch. It's not like I said I'd "steal" Edric. Speaking of Edric, I gotta go meet him at the library! Aqua quickly went home, dropped his backpack, and ran to the library. Finally, something fun to do, I'll get to know Edric, and I'll be happy, right? Aqua thought. But he had no more time to think, due to him being at the library now. Aqua opened the door, and it closed behind him. He saw the librarian at the desk, and the librarian asked, "Are you here to read books, or hang out?" He asked. "Read books, of course." Aqua replied. "Good, just testing." the Librarian replied. Aqua walked by the demon decimal system, and saw the "Don't feed" sign. He followed those rules, and ignored it. He kept walking, looking for Edric. He looked into the kids section, and couldn't find him. Where is he? Aqua thought. He kept walking and walking, and finally saw Edric in the "Quiet" area. Edric turned around and saw Aqua. "Hey Aqua." he said. "Hi, Edric. Aren't there usually people here?" Aqua asked. "I hexed em' they're all cleaning, I was on duty but I wanted to hang with you." Edric replied. "Oh, so, what do you wanna talk about?" Aqua asked. "How about covens?" Edric replied. "What does it feel like to be in 2 covens?" Edric asked Aqua. "Well...people mix covens uniquely, I do experiments, I've been working on a few creatures. There isn't a particular way that we mix magic" Aqua replied. "Sounds fun. Wish I could be in 2 covens, but my parents always say that it isn't "The Blight Order '' which sucks. As soon as I graduate, I'm gonna join multiple covens." Edric said. "That-that's a nice dream, I hope you achieve it." Aqua replied. "Thank you, Aqua." Edric replied. "So, since covens have been the hot talk, how about we do a witches duel? Just for fun." Edric said in a charming way. "I was going to work on Experiment III, but it can wait I guess." Aqua said. "Follow me," Edric said. Aqua followed. Edric opened the library doors and they both walked out. "The best place that we can go to is the Grudgby field at school." Edric stated. "I can get us there without wasting any time." Aqua replied as he pulled out a beaker with abomination goop inside of it. He took off the top, and poured it into the floor. The goop came out of the floor, and formed a 2 person throne with wheels. "This is one of my experiments, I usually use this to get to places quicker than usual." Aqua said. Aqua sat on the throne, and said: "Hop in." Edric Sat down behind Aqua. "Are there...seatbelts?" Edric asked. "No. You ready?" Aqua asked. "Yeah." Edric answered. After he said that, the throne started to move. "Hold on tight to my back." Aqua said. Edric did just that, and the throne started to move at a faster speed. "How fast is this gonna go?" Edric asked. "It's as fast as a one person scooter, you expect faster?" Aqua asked. "Well usually, us blights get the fastest monsters...but I'll be grateful." Edric replied. "So when are we gonna get there...?" Edric added. "We're already here." Aqua said as he did a motion with his head to look up. Edric did, too, and saw it. "Oh-that was fast." He said. Aqua hopped off the throne, and Edric followed after. "Here we are, back at school." He said. Aqua tapped at the tip of the beaker, and the throne collapsed into a goop puddle, and it slithered into the beaker. "Let's go." Aqua said. Aqua and Edric walked side-by-side, and into the school. They walked through the halls quickly, and they passed Vora. "Hey Edric." She said. "Hey Vora." He replied. Aqua didn't say anything, and they kept walking. They got to the back door, which led into the grudgby field. Edric opened it and said, after you. "Thanks." Aqua said to him. Aqua stepped down the stairs, and started towards the field. He sat down. Edric followed, and said: "I challenge you to a witches duel!" "Sure. I'll accept." Aqua said. Vora walked outside, and sat in the stands. "Go Edric!" She said. Aqua groaned. He pulled out a beaker, and threw it onto the ground, the glass broke. After that, it sinked into the floor, and a huge hole opened up. Abomination goop came out of the floor, and had formed tentacles. It growled, and Edric stepped back. "Nice. But there's more to the illusion track than you think." Edric said. He jumped up, and a blue cloud formed around him that made a "poof" sound. When the cloud landed on the floor, a puddle of abomination goop was there. "That won't work, Edric. At least if I keep a distance. I think I'll be able to see the differences between my abomination from your fake form." Aqua said. "Let's find out." Edric replied. He quickly moved through the field, and formed a human form out of his fake abomination goop. As he was jumping up to punch the tentacles, they grabbed him. "Oh crap." He said as he struggled to move free from the tentacles. "If you give up, I'll free you." Aqua said. "I'm not losing, not yet." Edric said. His hands were free, so he formed a spell circle that created a skeleton arm. It pulled at Edric's leg until he was free. He fell back, and got up. He formed another spell circle, and it put a cloud around him. When it cleared, there were a bunch of clones of him. They all ran at Aqua and the abomination and made a battle cry. Half of them were attacking the tentacles, and the other half were attacking aqua. "Not so fast." Aqua said. Aqua pulled out empty beakers, and threw them at the clone's heads. One of them dogged it, meaning that was the real Edric. The tentacles had already stopped the other clones, so Edric was alone. "Abomination, rise." Aqua said as he pulled out another beaker from his pocket with abomination goop in it. It targeted Edric, and he got caught. This time, it got his hands too. "I give up. Good game." Edric said. "Oh...um, good game, Edric." Aqua replied. The goop fell, and Edric was now free. "So, wanna hang tomorrow?" Edric asked. "Yes please." Aqua replied. Vora got up from the stands, and Aqua saw her. She gave him a dirty look, and rolled her eyes. She walked up the stairs, and went into the school. "Uh oh. I forgot that I made a hole in the floor...I gotta fix that." Aqua said. "I got you covered." Edric replied. He ignited a spell circle towards the hole, and it was fixed. "Let's go, we got class." Aqua said. "Coming." Edric replied.
Later
Edric was walking to his house, and opened the door. He saw Emira, and she said: "Where were you? Mom and Dad were worried about you." "Tell them that I'm 16, not 8. I can take care of myself." Edric replied. "Whatever you say." Emira replied. Edric walked upstairs to his room, and sat on his bed. He put his head against the wall, and thought about Aqua. "Grom is next week...so....."
The Blight Manor
"Maybe I should ask Aqua to grom," Edric said to himself whilst sitting in his bed. Edric heard footsteps come upstairs. The floorboards made a squeaky wooden sound, so he knew someone was coming. Since his door was closed, the person knocked. He said: "Come in." He wasn't expecting to see his mother and father, and they looked disappointed. "Hey dad, mom." Edric said. "Ed, where were you?" Mrs. Blight asked. "I-" Edric didn't have time to spit out words, because Mr. Blight had cut him off. "Son, you must come home before the sun goes down, you know the rules." Mr. Blight said. Edric said: "I-after class I was hanging out with my friend and-" "If you do not say sorry this instant, we won't let you go to grom, at least Amity did better this week," Mr Blight said. "I'm sorry." Edric replied. "We know, just don't do it ever again, or you'll be in bigger trouble." Mrs. Blight said. The Blight parents walked out the door, and closed it behind them. Edric heard the footsteps down the stairs, and sat up. He ignited a spell circle, and it turned him invisible. He slowly and quietly opened his door, and walked down the halls. He steadily tiptoed down the stairs and overheard something. "...But Alador, Amity hasn't been focusing on the Emperor's Coven as much as she used to, her interests are elsewhere." Mrs. Blight said. "I'm sorry but a human, that's absurd-Did she ever even like the Emperor's Coven?" Mr. Blight asked. "Of course she did, we told her to, so if she isn't, we must put her in her place." Mrs. Blight replied. Edric saw his parents go upstairs to Amity's room. He was now visible, and he walked over to the big fridge in the manor, and got a gargoyle-eye sandwich with blood sauce. He quickly got a bag out of one of the many drawers in The Blight Manor, and put the sandwich in the bag. He got his backpack from the front of the door, and put supplies in it. Before he could open the door and leave, Emira saw him. "Please don't tell them, Emira please." Edric said to her. "Fine. But when I make that clone, you have to pay me when you get back." Emira said. "Deal." Edric said. "Safe travels. Where are you going?" Emira asked. "I don't know yet...but I just need a break." Edric told Emira. "Well, I gotta go fast!" Edric said. Emira replied: "You sound like some blue hedge-" Edric had no time to hear what Emira had to say, he knew Mr. and Mrs. Blight were coming down the stairs soon. Before Emira knew it, she saw the door close. Mr. and Mrs. Blight came right down the stairs as they heard the door slam. "What was that? We heard you talking with someone." Ms. Blight said. "Oh it was just the mother of that gargoyle that dad and Edric hunted a few months ago, I told her to go away." Emira said. "It waited that long?" Mr. Blight asked. "Well, uh, yeah I guess." Emira replied "Oh, good job Emira! You're our new starchild of the week!" Mrs. Blight said.
Aqua's House
Aqua was sitting on his bed, in pajamas, and watching GloomTube on his crystal ball. After a long break of doing just chemistry, trying to make his third successful experiment, he succeeded and was finally winding down. "Ah, this is so relaxing, my parents are asleep, I pretty much got the house to myself." Aqua said to himself. He turned off the crystal ball and closed his eyes, seconds after, he heard a knock at his door. "OH COME ON!" Aqua said out loud. He looked through the peepholes, and saw Edric. He quickly opened the door, and asked: "Woah, um, Edric, what are you doing here, I'm kinda underdressed, and um, how did you find my house?" Aqua asked him. "Well, I was checking out your Penstagram and uh, your newest selfie with your "Abomination Boyfriend" It kinda tagged your location into there." Edric said. Why was he checking out my Penstagram? It's not like he's interested in me, Aqua thought. "Well, I'm just gonna delete that photo, aaaand, come in." Aqua said. Aqua turned back around and stopped Edric from coming in though. "Wait, why are you here? My parents might get me in trouble, but I think I know a place where I could hide you." Aqua said. "Well, I just need a break from my parents.." Edric said. "Fair enough, heard they're strict from that Porter guy on the news." Aqua said. "Wish I could give you better treatment, but the best place that I could hide you is in my basement." Aqua added. "It's okay, it's better than being cooped-up in that mansion all your life." Edric said to Aqua. Aqua got a sleeping bag from his room, and put it onto the floor. "Well, good night Edric, sleep good." Aqua said. "Good night Aqua, you too." Edric replied. When he went down the steps, he saw a bunch of beakers on the table, and bins. Oh, so this is Aqua's experiment room. Good enough, kinda cold, but I have the sleeping bag! Edric put himself into the bag, and lay on the floor. Maybe it's a great time to ask Aqua to Grom, we're closer than ever now. I hope he says yes. Edric thought
Aqua's Room
Wish I could just say I love you to him, but I'm afraid he won't say it back. Aqua thought. He closed his eyes, and pulled on his covers. Night passed, and Aqua He opened his eyes. He yawned, and then took off his covers and sat up. He walked out of his room and into the kitchen. He got out apple blood, and monster eggs. He made 2 plates, and put some eggs on each. He opened the door to the basement, and Edric was there, quiet and asleep. Aqua smiled, and sat down next to the sleeping bag. He poked at it, and it took Edric a while to fully open his eyes. He rubbed them, and sat up. "Hey..Aqua." he said in a tired tone. "good morning, I made some food." Aqua told him. "cool, cool, I'll be out." Edric said, more awake than last time. Aqua walked out of the room, and Edric unzipped his sleeping bag. He quickly followed after Aqua, and saw the food on the table. He sat down, and began to eat along with Aqua. "Mhm, this is good. It's different, but good." Edric complimented. "Thanks, I don't cook much, I'm usually working on my experiments, so I kind of thought these would turn out bad myself." Aqua said. "Where are your parents?" Edric asked. "At their job." Aqua replied. "Oh. Same with my parents, but they usually get paid for reading books in the manor." "Oh, well, when you're done, I wanna show you something." Aqua added. "Mmm, okay." Edric said as he was chewing on his egg and gulping down his apple blood. Aqua went into the basement, and was waiting for Edric. Edric came running in a few seconds later. "I'm here! I'm here!" Edric said. Aqua smiled, and turned around towards a beaker. He pulled it, and a shelf moved to another side, leading into a secret room. "Ooh! Secret hideout!" Edric said. "More than that, after you." Aqua said as he made movements with his hands to come in. It wasn't just a hideout, it was a massive lab with three big tubes on one wall, and a shelf with 100s of beakers, and even a machine with a bunch of abomination body pillows being made. "So you're...selling those?" Edric asked. "Maybe." Aqua said. He saw the big table with chairs on the sides, papers, crystal balls, notebooks, pencils, beakers, and some abomination goop dripping from the table. "Yeah...I'm not very organized." Aqua said. "I like it! I wish my parents would allow me to have a messy room." Edric said. "That's strange...I really want to get my lab organized, yet I have so much work on my hands, plus school. DANG IT! SCHOOL! Edric, we gotta go!" Aqua remembered. "Actually, I'll stay here. My sister, Emira, created a clone that sort of acts like me, she'll be monitoring it." Edric said. "Ah, okay. Gotta go, bye!" Aqua said. Aqua ran out the basement, threw off his shirt and pants, and put on his uniform, and glasses, took his bag, and ran out. "Hm, so what now?" Edric asked himself out loud.
Hexside
Aqua was walking into class, and sat at his desk. "Hey, blue boy, where's Edric? Did you do something to him?" Vora asked. Aqua ignored vora. He took a small beaker from his pocket and opened it. It flew at Vora and hit her in the face. "Ow! Teacher, Teacher, The blue boy used abomination magic on me!" Vora tattled. "Aqua, go to the principal's office!" The teacher said. Vora walked back to her desk, with a smug face whilst looking at Aqua. Right when Aqua was going to walk out of the door, she saw Edric and Emira. "Stay in class, don't get into trouble." Emira said. Emira walked away, and Aqua looked at Edric. "What are you doing here?" Aqua whispered. "I'm a clone of Edric created by Emira. Who are you?" Edric C. asked. "I'm Edric's friend, uh, this is kinda awkward, I'm gonna go." Aqua said. Edric C. looked back in confusion. Aqua wasn't going to go to principal bump's office though, he was going home. Before Aqua was going to go home, he was going to Mr. Elixir, a stand with some of the rarest of potions. It was close to his house, since it's close to the middle of Bonesborough. The stand was open, and Aqua saw Morton running it, as always. "Oh, hey Aqua, you already ran out of beast blood potion?" Morton asked. "No, It was successful this time, I'm thinking of making a bear...or a symbiote that enhances strength." Aqua said. "Like steroids?" Morton asked. "Hell no! for like..injuries." Aqua replied. "But you're not in the healing track." Morton replied. "I know, but it's gonna be a secret, and I trust you to keep it. "So what do you have that could possibly enhance injuries?" Aqua asked. "I got a healing potion, I advise you not to mix it with abominations though." Morton replied. "Maybe I won't, maybe I will." Aqua replied. "That'll be 27 coppers." Morton replied. "Here." Aqua said as he put the currency on the table. "Thanks again, Aqua. It's you and the owl lady who really keep me in business." Morton said. Aqua walked away from the stand.
Aqua's House
Edric was reading over Aqua's papers, and organizing everything. Maybe I'll impress Aqua if I do this. Edric thought. He got teeth folders from a storage box, and filed all of the papers into them. The folder roared and ripped the bottom of one of the papers though, leaving teeth marks. "Maybe I should just...put that under that table." Edric said. The beakers were well organized, and he didn't want to mess up Aqua's way of science, so he kept the way they were. He walked out of the lab, and pushed the beaker back into the hole. The shelf was now covering the lab's entrance again. He was back in the basement, and picked up his bag. He got out his Scroll, and texted Aqua. Is it ok if I have more apple blood? Edric texted. Sure. I'm close by home soon anyway. Aqua texted back. Why so early? Edric asked. I got distracted, And got sent home. Aqua lied, because he knew that Edric had feelings for Vora. K, see u soon. Edric replied.
Later
Aqua knocked at the door, and Edric opened it. "Hey, Edric. Can you put this elixir into my lab?" Aqua asked. "Sure." Edric replied. He went into the basement, pulled the beaker, and the shelf moved to the side. Edric walked into the hideout, and put the elixir onto the table. Aqua followed behind, and Edric turned to him. "I-I have a question." Edric stated. "About the experiment? Well, I'm working on-" Aqua tried to speak, but got cut off by Edric. "Will you, go to grom with me?" Edric asked. Aqua stood still, widened his eyes, and blushed all over his face. It became a different shade of blue, and formed one word: "Yes. He said. "Really?" Edric had to make sure. "Yes." Aqua replied. "Well..I'm going to go back to the manor and get ready!" Edric said. He ran out of the room, and grabbed his bag. "Bye!" Edric said. "See ya." Aqua replied. I can't believe it...surely he's asking me because we're friends, right? Aqua thought to himself.
1 Week Later
Aqua was going through his closet, looking through his nice clothing. It had been almost a week since Edric asked Aqua to grom, and he had been thinking about it all week. Since grom was tonight, he had to choose to wear either a dress or a suit. Damn, I have no more time. Class is starting. Aqua preferred dresses over suits, so he was most likely going to choose that.
Hexside
Edric was sitting at his desk and was waiting in class for everyone else. He finally heard the door open and was expecting Aqua or even the teacher, but it was Vora. She was holding a bottle of Apple Blood. She walked over to his desk and smiled. "Hey, Edric, I've been wanting to ask you this for a long time. Will you go to grom with me?" She asked. "Wait...you really think I don't have a date already?" Edric asked. "Well...I mean...you're Edric Blight...aren't you too good for anyone in this school? Lemme guess, the person asked you first, and you didn't wanna be rude, so you HAD to say yes." Vora said. "Just because I'm a Blight, doesn't mean I think everyone else is below me. Besides, Aqua is special, I asked him." Edric said. Vora's eyes widened as she spat out the apple blood all over by Edric's Desk, and said: "YOU-YOU ASKED AQUA?" Vora yelled making sure what she heard was true. "Yes. And please, clean up around my desk." Edric replied. Fine. And guess I'll have to resort to Kaden. Vora thought. She walked out of class to get a towel. She came running back and cleaned the floor around Edric's desk. Once done, she went to sit at her desk and opened Penstagram. She looked onto Edric's page, and she realized he wasn't following her anymore, now following Aqua in advance. UGH! He has to ruin my life! I HATE him! I hate Aqua SO MUCH! She thought. About 5 minutes had passed, and every kid rushed into class. Edric looked at Aqua, with a smile, and Vora, the complete opposite. He sat down next to his deskmates: Tyler and Snow, and he seemed happier than ever. Aqua was actually paying attention to the lesson now, thinking time would pass by for Grom to come. Vora was sitting next to her deskmates, being Emira and Kaden. She tapped Emira's shoulder. "Hey, can you tell me why Edric didn't ask me to grom? He's your brother," Vora asked. Emira had a strange look on her face, and said: "Oh, of course, you're the only choice he can choose from." Emira said sarcastically. Vora rolled her eyes and turned to Kaden. "Hey Kaden, want to go to Grom with me?" Vora asked. "Sorry, I already got a date. I think Tyler, Monu, and Snow are the only open choices." He said. Even the ugly kids get dates, and not me?! Vora thought.
Lunch
At the lunch table, there sat Aqua, Edric, Snow, Tyler, Monu, Smoky, and Orchid. Vora walked up to Tyler. "Yes?" Tyler said. "You open to going to Grom with me?" She asked. "Um-I gotta go plant my Cactus!" Tyler said, which was an excuse. Vora sighed. She walked over to Monu. "You?" She asked. "Are you seriously going to keep asking every single last one of us? You've stooped so low to waste your time, you probably don't even like any of us, you're just trying to get your Grom pics on your Penstagram story." Monu spoke the truth. Vora's eyes started to tear up, and she ran out of the lunchroom. "Why so dramatic?" Monu asked. "Kinda harsh," Smoky said. "Not really, she looks at us like we're below her. And now she wants to be our friend because Edric is here." Aqua added. "I didn't even know that she was a jerk until earlier today, and she likes me?... I kinda feel bad for her." Edric said. Don't Aqua thought.
Aqua's House
I don't know how to dance, and I don't even know what to wear. Aqua thought to himself. He pulled out his scroll, and he saw a text from Edric. "I might be late, I gotta help out Luz the human, but I'll be there! See u later!" It said. Aqua smiled, and he thought: Maybe I should sleep on it. Too much stress. And he did just that, which was a mistake.
Grom Night
Edric and Emira opened the door to the dance floor, and there were decorations everywhere. Abomination balloons, dancing instruments, red tablecloths, colorful light spells, and a shiny disco-shell. "Let's wait for our dates in the stands," Emira said to Edric. They walked over to the stands and sat down. Edric got up to get fruit punch. He saw Tyler and Orchid bought their cactus with them and were playing with it in the corner. "Hey guys, got dates?" Edric asked. "Nope, but we got this cactus," Orchid said. "Cool, I'm just waiting for Aqua," Edric said. He sat back down in the stands. He looked over at Emira with her head down in her hands. "What's wrong?" He asked. "My date-they can't make it," Emira said in a quiet voice. "I'm sorry, Emira. I really am." Edric said. Emira got up and walked out of the dance room. Dang. Sucks for her. Wonder when Aqua is coming. Edric thought. As time went by, Aqua still wasn't there. Where is he? Edric thought. He saw Vora standing by herself, and he felt bad. He walked over to her and tapped her shoulder. "What do you want?" Vora asked. "I-I want to dance with you. I feel bad. And I'm sorry." Edric said. "What happened to Aqua?" Vora asked sarcastically. "He isn't here," Edric said disappointed. I knew he was a wimp. Abandoning Edric like that? What a jerk. Vora thought. "So, let's dance," Vora said excitedly. Vora got up, held hands with Edric, and they started slow dancing on the dance floor.
1 Day later
Aqua yawned and got up. He looked at the time. It was a day later. "Oh god. oh just kill me now," Aqua said quietly to himself as he put his hands over his face. Aqua took out penstagram and looked at Edric's page. He saw photos of Vora and Edric posing at Grom. "Dammit. Ugh. I'm so dumb. I can't believe it-I stood him up. I only had one chance, and I blew it." Aqua said as he threw his stuff across the room and hit his head against the wall, with anger. "How the hell am I supposed to reply to these texts??? I feel so bad but I don't wanna face Edric! And there's a frickin talent show next week!? I'm doomed." Aqua said out loud to himself.
Elsewhere, Hexside
Kaden ran over to Vora, who was walking through the school halls of Hexside like she owned the place, and asked her a question. "Hey Vora, how was grom?" Kaden asked. "Oh, it was great, one of the best days in a while, which was surprising for a hellhole like this place." she answered. "Oh- cool. Who'd you go with? I was alone. I thought nobody wanted to go with you." Kaden said. "Edric Blight, the hottest boy in this school. Well, the only hot guy." Vora bragged. "Wait a minute- Edric? what happened to Aqua?" Kaden asked. "Oh that guy? He was a wimp. He left Edric alone at grom, and after a few hours, Edric came to me." Vora told Kaden. "Oh-well congrats on getting a date! Kaden said. Vora laughed. "You wouldn't understand, but thanks I guess." Vora said with a smug smile on her face. "Well uh- bye Vora! See ya later." Kaden said as he walked into his class. Vora stood by her locker, waiting for Edric. Everybody passed by her, looking. "You heard that Vora hooked-up with Edric?" One kid whispered. "Yeah! I mean- Vora? She's not even all that-" The other kid whispered. When Vora was younger, she had struggles, but she had to fight her way to the top. She did this in a way that her classmates couldn't top, and it made them fear her. When she was younger, around the time when every other student in her class knew a simple light ball spell, Her classmates would always make fun of her for failing at magical ability. How did she succeed? It all started one day when she ran away from school during recess. She was missing four about an hour, but no one noticed, and no one cared. Her parents were working, and thought she was in school, so they weren't worried either.
I just want to get a snack, nothing else. They barely give me food. I gazed at the streets, with vehicles zooming everywhere. Traffic is insane today, how am I supposed to get across the street? Ugh, it doesn't matter. Though, I hadn't thought about the risk of getting run over. Just- RUN! I ran, but of course, I was being an idiot. "OW!", I was hit in the arm by a carriage, and got sprayed with mud on my face, "BWAAA!" The mud got in my mouth!I spit it out, I stumbled onto the wet, damp floor of the alleyway. It was dark and wet, and there were rodents everywhere. It's so cold-and-lonely. I thought. These huge buildings towering over a small rodent like me, It's like I don't exist, no one heard a thing. When you're one of the lowest beings in this world, nobody cares for you. I was still in the corner, and nobody walking by noticed since it was so dark. By then, my uniform was musty, and had gunk all over the back. My arm felt better, but still, alone, like nobody cared. I didn't want to cross the street, I would be hit again, and feel even more pain. I got up, and was thinking of what to do. I turned to my left, and there was a door. I approached it, and put my hand on the knob, but it was locked. "You hear that?" Asked a demon in a stand by the alley. His customers looked at him with a confused face. "Eh it's just my imagination, probably just them rodents back there. Sorry, customers" He said. Of course, I'm just a figment of someone's imagination. I kept trying to open it, obviously it wouldn't work since it was locked. I turned away from the door, but I heard a ka-click, and a low creak. Before I could turn around, I saw two hands coming out of the dark abyss that was behind that door. I let out a scream, and the door slammed shut. I heard the demon outside say: "Did y'all just hear that?" The demon at the stand asked. "No." the customers answered. "Don't scream." A voice said. The voice was coming from the person who was holding me. "H-how can I not?" I replied. "Jelv, turn on the light." The voice said. Then, I could see. I looked up, and saw that in the room, were a bunch of power glyphs on the wall hung up. I could also see wanted posters, of a woman with purple hair, and silver eyes wearing a robe. I turned around and saw that the person who was speaking, had an identical appearance to the person on the wanted poster. "Y-You're a criminal! Please let me go, I'm still just a student! I don't wanna die." Vora said. "Die? Oh no- we wanna help you!, we only do harm when the weak are attacked, we see that you're in need.." She said. We? I thought. "Oh no it's okay! The oppressing rulers of the isles want us gone, because they don't want the weak to be on their level, the isle's system is messed up. By the way, I'm Evanora. She said. "Jelv, Suka, Xul, it's okay come out!" She added. They came out of the dark corners of the room. Jelv was a young-adult demon with a ponytail, and he wore a torn hexside blank uniform. I was confused, why was he wearing a student's uniform? I thought. Though, it was most likely a long story, so I avoided asking. Suka had 3 hair buns, 2 on the side and 1 on her or his head, and a mini witch hat (Purple, White, and Green) on top of each of their buns. Suka was also wearing a simple green dress. Xul was grey, and had gargoyle-like wings, and wore metal armour to cover his torso, and a headdress for his face. He was very swol looking, but that was odd since his legs were very small goat-like legs. "You guys are very unique, why do you all need power glyphs so bad?" I asked. "Our place isn't out there, it's in here. We were all weak to the rest of society, I know, it's a basic way of wording things, but at least we understand that we don't belong out there." Evanora answered as she turned to her gang and smiled. "I-I'll be honest, I don't fit in either." I said. "All my classmates are ahead of me, and I'm just so weak." I told them. "Weak, you say? People like us help people like you!, and we just got ourselves a new shipment of power glyphs. Waddya say? Want a stock? Besides, we'd LOVE to help YOU!" Evanora asked. "Ah, it's okay, I don't have any money." Vora said in a sad tone. "How about no charge. For a weaker being like you, this advantage can be great. And I'd rather give you this since you're in need, and not a power-hungry warlock, like most of our customers." Evanora said. "I- thank you! Thank you so much!" Vora said in excitement. Evanora gave Vora a case with power glyphs in it, and she took it. "Take care, these are hard to get. Don't tell anyone you have these, or we'll be in big trouble." Evanora said. "I have nobody to tell, but what about my parents?" I asked. "I said don't tell anyone, or you'll be weak again, you don't want that, do you?" Evanora asked. I started sweating. "N-no." I replied. "Goody! Hoping we'll see you again, kid. By the way, what's your name?" Evanora asked. "Vora, I'm Vora." I told her. "Pretty name." Suka said. I smiled. No one had ever complimented me, this was a first. I'm sure that they'll be great friends! "Bye guys!" I said, and walked out the door.
For years, Vora had been using these power Glyphs. They got her to top-student in her grade, and all of her classmates feared her. Little did she know that Evanora and her gang were criminals with many instances of murder, and was getting the power glyphs illegally. But by now, Vora was a power wielding pro, and nothing would stop her. Today, she still uses the power glyphs, and no one knew.
Present Time
Aqua walked into his bathroom, and started combing his hair. He got some gargoyle gel, and put the hair in-place. He was wearing his glasses, and took them off. Aqua's eyes were black, sort of like a glass-like material, though, of course it wasn't glass. Aqua was always insecure about his eyes, because they were so different from the rest of his schoolmates. Though, it was also because his vision is tinted, so he wears his glasses to brighten them. Today was the Hexside talent show, and He went into his lab, and got a tube filled with abomination goop. Aqua wanted to talk to Edric, he really did. But he didn't want to get it wrong. He felt so awkward about apologizing right to Edric. Aqua went into the lab to get his canisters. He was going to show off his new symbiote abomination, which was his fifth successful experiment. What exactly did this one do? It would jump onto the user, and act as a strong armour, and would increase your general strength. Aqua got his backpack, and ran out the door.
Hexside
There, Aqua walked into the auditorium. A bunch of chairs were set down, and all of Hexside were there. That meant that Edric was there. Aqua had to buy time until he went up, so he looked at the talent show list. There, Aqua saw Vora Laueau, Tyler Greene (Cactus Tricks), Willow Park (Advanced Plant Magic), Gill Gydny, and himself. Alot less people this year. First up was Tyler, which he was going up in a few moments, showing off his cactus. Aqua saw Orchid, and sat down by him. "Aqua, where were you at grom? We were waiting for you- and- and you broke Edric's heart." Orchid said. "I- of course I did. Where is he? I have to apologize, to save our relationship." Aqua told Orchid. "He's up in the front row, sitting by Vora." Orchid said. Ugh, her. "All right. I'll go." Aqua said. He got up, but before he could walk to Edric, a teacher said: "Hey kid, sit back down!" They said. Edric turned around to see this "kid", but Aqua already sat back down. "Cacti, Pose." Tyler said to Cacti, his cactus. Cacti did just that, and it was flawless. Tyler's performance was about done, and now, it was Vora's turn. She walked up the steps to the stage, and said: "Hello, I am Vora! Now, you all may know me as the best oracle student, and I can say this, you're not wrong!" Today, I'll show you all how to summon ghosts." Vora added. But to Aqua, it was all Blah- Blah Blah- Oracles- blah. Aqua waited for his turn after Vora, and it finally came. "Next up is Aqua Aenon!" Principal Bump said. Now, It was Aqua's turn. He was ready. He walked past the front row, and saw Edric and Vora. He put his head down and ran faster to the steps, with his bags. There were extra beakers with failed versions of the symbiote that he wanted to show off, and the final product. "Hello, I'm Aqua. And today, I'll be showing you my Abominations/Potion experiment. I call this one: Lovely Experiment V." Aqua told the audience. "And what does it do?" The abomination professor asked. Well, it's not your normal abomination, this time, with the help of a mixing of potions magic, it's a symbiote." Aqua replied. "I'm going to show off my failed attempts first, and then my successful one." Aqua added. Aqua took out 4 beakers from his bag. "My first attempt, too liquidy. Second, too solid. Third, incorrect mixing, and fourth, too many materials. This time, I managed to create a living organism." Aqua told the crowd. He pulled the big canister out of his bag, and it was moving! "Aqua is it supposed to do that?" The potions asked. "Yes, now, watch this." Aqua replied. Aqua opened the canister, and the symbiote jumped onto him. It spread across his entire body, and now, Aqua was an abomination. "It increases strength, and overall speed." Aqua said. "Magnificent!" The abomination professor said. Aqua snapped his fingers, the goop departed from his body, and bowed. "Thank you, Thank you!" Aqua said. The crowd clapped, all except for Vora.
After the talent show
Aqua was walking through the halls, and dropped off his experiment in abomination class, since the school day was about to start. Before he could leave the door, he saw a hand. Then, a full body. There, stood Edric. "Oh, um, Edric! Weird seeing you here, isn't it?!" Aqua said. Edric laughed. "I liked your performance, it was pretty unique, just like you." Edric said. Aqua blushed. "Edric i'm- im sorry for leaving you alone at grom." Aqua told him. "I know, I could see it in your face when you looked at me." Edric said. Aqua scratched his hair. "Thanks, though, we don't have to be friends if you don't want to-" Aqua replied. "Nah, let's be friends, besides, it's time to eat. Wanna sit by me? Edric asked. Aqua chuckled. "Sure." Aqua told him. "Cool, lets go." Edric replied. Vora was outside the door and heard their conversation. Not again. she thought. They sat down at a lunch table, and started talking. "Hey, look! Aqua and Edric are sitting next to each other again!" Orchid told Tyler, who whispered the news into Snow's ears, and then, Snow told Smokey, and then so on, until Kaden accidentally whispered it into Vora's ears. "Oops." He said. "No need to rub it in, how about you leave me be!" Vora said to him. "Sorry Vora." Kaden said. Ugh, what a pushover. Vora thought. "Next!" The Cafeteria Chef said. Aqua saw Orchid and Tyler walking towards the table. "Hey guys, nice to know that you 2 are uh- back?" Orchid said to Aqua and Edric. "B-back?" Edric asked. Kaden walked over, "Weren't you guys a thing?" He asked. "Who said that?" Edric said. "Yeah! We're just friends." Aqua revealed. Just friends? Edric thought to himself, he sighed, and continued to eat. After a few minutes, Snow and the others walked over. The group were having a good time, laughing and eating. Vora was furious when she saw this. How does Aqua have friends? Real friends? Vora thought. Maybe I should try to be friends with Aqua, since he's SOOO popular. Maybe these idiots will see that I'm overall a better person when I befriend them. Vora hadn't thought about how this could go wrong. "I have to go to the restroom." Aqua told everyone at the table. He walked out of the cafeteria, but not to use the bathroom. Now, let's see how she talks about me behind my back. Aqua thought to himself. He opened a canister of abomination goop, and it slithered into the cafeteria slow and steadily. Aqua was trying to create an audio player, to hear the conversation at the table. The abomination slithered under the table, to hear the voices. "Hey Vora!" Kaden said. "Hi- Kaden. Hi Edric! Have you all seen Aqua?" Vora asked. "Why do you need to know?" Monu asked. "Oh, we're friends, and I'm worried about him, he's been a jerk lately." Vora lied. Monu chuckled. "Friends? since when?" He asked. "I'm worried about him." Vora lied, once again. Aqua walked into the door, and ran over to the table. Oh, so he's approaching me? Vora thought, as she started sweating. "We're not friends, You treat me like crap- ALL of us, and now you wanna be friends? Why?" Aqua asked. "I- you-" Vora tried to speak, but Edric came into the conversation. "It's because of me, right? I know you like me, but don't put my friends into your dramatic life, Vora. I actually felt bad for you." Edric told Vora. Vora's face turned gray, her expression turning into an angry face, and screamed. "AAAAUGH!!! AQUA! You ruined my life! My love! My pride! I'll get you!" Vora screamed at Aqua. "Heh, good luck." Aqua replied. Vora stormed out of the cafeteria. Oh, I'll get you. I'll destroy something Aqua loves dearly! Oh- such excitement. Vora thought maliciously. She walked into the class where Aqua left his experiment, and opened it. Vora threw the failed versions of the experiment onto the floor, and the brand new one too. Vora wanted to destroy the Goop, so she slammed her foot into it, but something was wrong. "Hey! Let go!" She said. But the goop grabbed her, and it consumed her leg. "OW!" Vora screamed, as she fell over with a loud THUMP! The goop was consuming her right leg, and the arms- torso, "HELP ME! Please!" Vora screamed out for help. Kaden was walking to the bathroom, but before he went there, he heard the scream. He ran to the abominations class, and opened the door. "KADEN! HELP!" Vora screamed, as the abomination goop went into her mouth, she started coughing out blood, and crying as it was consuming her body. Kaden was in shock, and the abomination picked him up, walked out the door, and slammed him onto the floor. The monster ran back into the class. Kaden was injured, and groaned. Aqua and the others were walking back to the class to hang out, but saw Kaden on the floor, injured with abomination goop on his face. "Kaden!" Tyler said, as they all ran over to him. "What the hell happened?" Smokey asked Kaden. "L-look." Kaden said, as he weakly raised his arm, and pointed at the class. "You guys stay here." Aqua said. "No, I'm coming with you." Edric said. Aqua smiled. He opened the door, but nothing was there except a broken window, blood, and abomination goop. Aqua approached the door. He put his hands on the doorknob. Edric followed behind for Aqua's safety. "What the hell could've done this?" Aqua asked himself. He opened the door, and viewed the contents. Blood, Abomination goop, glass, A broken window. A huge mess. Surely, someone wouldn't have done this on accident. It was a sabotage. Aqua thought, and then looked at Edric. Aqua got up and walked out the door. Edric followed. "Kaden, what exactly hit you?" Aqua asked. Kaden pointed at his jaw, and tried to spit out words. "I-it hurl-hurts." Kaden said. Everyone else was crouched down helping Kaden, but Tyler stood up. "I'll go get the Healing Coven." Tyler told everyone. "Who's gonna go with you?" Snow asked. "I've got Cacti. He may not be able to speak yet, but I've taught him well." Tyler said. Cacti popped out of Tyler's pocket. "Let's go." Tyler said to Cacti, who nodded. "Good luck." Edric said. Tyler ran to the other side of the school, to the Healing Coven class. Tyler slowed down, and turned to the right. There, he saw the Healing Coven class. "I'm going to go follow that thing. I don't know what it is, but I have to find it, you guys can come with me if you want." Aqua announced. "Of course I'm coming." Edric told Aqua. "I'll go." Orchid said. "Me too!" Snow announced. Aqua lifted his arms, and pointed at Monu and Smokey. "You guys take care of Kaden." Aqua said. "Alright- I barely know the guy but fine-" Monu said. Smokey nodded. "Let's do this." Aqua said. "We should get supplies first- we don't know what we're facing, It could seriously put up a fight." Orchid suggested. "That's true, but where are we gonna get them? it's not like we have time- that thing might be on a rampage as we know it." Edric said. "You guys can come to my house, I can make gear in at least 20 minutes. Just commission me." Orchid said. "COMMISION?! We're in a crisis-" Snow said. "Relax- It was a joke, by the way, my house is like- 2 blocks away." Orchid said. "There's some stuff that I gotta get from my place. Let's meet at the Grudgby field." Aqua told them, and he walked out the door.
Orchid's House
Orchid opened a door to the basement in his home. "Orch, Honey! Tell your friends I said hi!"his mother said. "Alright mom!" Orchid yelled back. Hmm, so- Edric wants a hammer- Snow wants a sword. Easy. I got those done months ago. Orchid thought. He pulled out the sword, and wrapped the handle in cyan fabric, and welded the letter S, and the bottom of the sword, then he placed it in a scabbard. Orchid quickly ran out the door, and there he saw Snow and Edric outside. "Here guys." Orchid said. He handed the sword to Snow, and the hammer to Edric. "It's beautiful-" Snow said. Orchid laughed. "Thanks. Never really showed my work to the public before." Orchid told them. "Ah, no problem. Let's go check on Kaden and the others." Snow said.
Hexside
Tyler turned the corner and opened the door to the class. The healing teacher saw Tyler, and said: "You're not supposed to be here, sapling. How about you go back to your plant class." The Healing Teacher said. "This is important!" Tyler revealed. "Did your teacher send you?" The Healing Teacher asked. Tyler replied: "N-no. But my fr-" "Then it doesn't matter. How about you go back to your class." The Healing Teacher said. "Hey Teacher, he might be saying something important." One of the students in the class said. "Now, Is it as important as this class? Hm? Is it?" The Healing Teacher asked. "It might be!" The student replied. "What did you say?!" The Healing Teacher asked. Cacti looked at Tyler, and did a little dance. Tyler saw him, and nodded. Cacti jumped out the pot, and started towards the Healing Teacher. Cacti stabbed the healing teacher. "AUGH!!" The teacher screamed. They collapsed. "Did that thing just kill our teacher?" Bo asked. "Nope, just put em' to sleep." Tyler said. "Listen up, my friend is injured, and he's going to need you guy's help." Tyler said. "What's the reward?" A student asked. "Uh- Extra credit!" Tyler announced. "Fine, come on classmates." The student said. They got up out of their desks, and followed Tyler. They walked over to Kaden, who was by the abomination class. "Allright classmates, we've practiced this spell many, many times, so healing one student shouldn't be hard! Let's do this!" The Healing student said. The whole class ignited their spell circles, and pointed at Kaden. Monu and Smokey stepped back. A loud hum surrounded the room, and a blue hue surrounded Kaden. It stopped, and Kaden groaned. He got up, and said this: "It was Vora! Vora did it-" Kaden revealed. "Vora?!" Edric asked in a surprised way. "She was being consumed by Aqua's abomination thing- " Kaden added. "We have to tell Aqua. He has to be here." Tyler said. The door to Hexside swung open, and there, they saw Aqua. He had a bag filled with potions, and a vacuum-looking thing. "Aqua! We know what hurt Kaden." Edric told him. "Who?" Aqua asked. "Vora. Though, I don't think she's in control- when I saw her- she was screaming for help- crying- and the goop was coming from her mouth- it was so disturbing." Kaden revealed to Aqua. "As much as I dislike her, we have to save her. Not because I care, because I- it doesn't feel right to just leave her." Aqua said. "Where did she go?" Edric asked. "Well, earlier I found a path of abomination goop that led into the forest- We should start there." Aqua said. "Follow me." Aqua said. Tyler, Edric, Snow, and Orchid followed Aqua out of the school. Aqua pointed at the forest by the school. "We're ready. We have weapons, and if we lose, we have magic." Aqua said. The group walked into the forest, and were about to embark on their journey to stop Vora. Aqua, Tyler, Snow, Edric, Kaden, Orchid and Cacti looked around the forest, noticing how dark and grim it was. The trees were black. The grass was dead. Tiny creatures scurried their way across the path, chirping about something. "They're running away. Vora is most likely terrorizing this forest as we know it. We have to save this place" Tyler said. "Finding Vora and recovering my experiment is more important than saving this place." Aqua said. "Have you no respect for the outside world?" Tyler questioned Aqua. "I know that you're into plants, but we have to get going! I don't have time for this." Aqua told Tyler. "No time? We have all the time to find Vora. You only care about your experiment." Tyler thought. "Of course I only care about it. It's the only reason that I'm "saving" Vora." Aqua said, putting his fingers in quotations when he said saving. "Wow. You don't even care about people as much as your abominations." Tyler said. "Ew, you're getting emotional." Aqua said. "Shut up, honestly, it's not like you even have a single emotion, you're just like your abominations. Nothing to feel." Tyler said. Aqua groaned, he balled his fists. He walked over to a different side of the forest. "I'm looking for Vora. Who's with me?" Aqua asked. Edric looked at the others. "I know that none of us agree with Aqua, but he needs supervision, especially since he's stubborn." Edric said. Orchid, Kaden and Snow nodded, and Tyler just stood there in annoyance. Edric walked over to the side of the forest where Aqua was standing. "Good luck." Snow said. "Thanks." Edric replied. Aqua and Edric walked away, and into the other side. "So uh- what's the plan?" Kaden asked. "I'll use my plant magic to fix this forest. After that's done, we go after Vora." Tyler said. "How can we help?" Orchid asked. "Wait- honestly, I can do this on my own. You guys should Take Cacti with you, and find Vora already." Tyler said. "Alright, lets go." Snow said. In another area of the forest, Aqua and Edric were looking out for Vora. Edric stopped. Aqua kept walking, and noticed that Edric stopped. "Hey Edric, what's with the delay?" Aqua asked as he turned around and saw him looking down. "I have to tell you something." Edric told Aqua. "We don't have time!" Aqua said. "I know- but it's very important." Edric admitted. "What's possibly more important than finding my work?!" Aqua asked Edric. "Nevermind." Edric told Aqua. They continued walking. A loud sound in the distance shook the forest, the birds flew away, chattering in fear. Aqua and Edric heard it, and the others heard it too. "It came from over there!" Kaden told Snow, Orchid, and Cacti. "Yeah, we better check it out." Snow added. "Let's go. I'm sure Aqua, Edric, and Tyler heard it too. It came from over there!" Orchid said as he pointed straight forward. They walked towards the forest, and saw a huge, humanoid blob of abomination goop knocking down trees and infecting the inhabitants. "Did Aqua know that this thing could infect living things?!" Kaden asked. Cacti put his arms up and shook his head. "Guys! I'm here!" Tyler announced. "I thought you were planting-" Kaden said. "I saw the trees, and followed the sound." Tyler said. "I had to check." He added. "We should hide here until Aqua and Edric get here. Besides, Aqua has that special abomination gear." Kaden said. "Good idea. Let's hide." Snow added to the idea.
As Aqua and Edric were walking, Edric heard a shuffle in the bushes. He stopped Aqua from walking. "Did you hear that?" He asked. "Hear what?" Aqua asked him. Shuffle. Shuffle. "Look!" Edric shouted, as a creature jumped from the bushes and almost attacked Aqua, yet Edric pushed him out of the way. Edric was crouched over Aqua, and was breathing heavily. Aqua blushed, and said: "I'm sorry Edric. What was it that you wanted to tell me earlier?" Aqua had considered Edric's feelings, finally. Edric spit out a few words: "I lik-" yet, was distracted as he turned around and saw the creature once again, jumping at the pair. He pulled out his hammer and slammed it on top of the creature, smashing it into bits. Aqua stared at Edric, and ran over to him. He was sweating, and his hammer was still on the ground. It was heavy, so he needed to take a breath. "Edric. It's okay, take your hands off of it now." Aqua told him. Edric sighed. "Aqua, I like you. I really do. I like-like you." Edric confessed. Aqua's face lit up, and he hugged Edric. But as they stopped, Aqua went in for a kiss. Edric complied, Just as he responded with such enthusiasm, and reminded himself of what was happening- he was really kissing Aqua, and he was really kissing him, and for a few seconds of that kiss, the world around them was meaningless. As they separated lips, Aqua smiled, and put his arms behind his back. Edric blushed, and reached out to Aqua. "We can do this together." He said. Aqua took his hand, and they walked together. By the time that they found the others, it was nighttime. "Guys! You found us!" Snow said. "Yeah. Sorry that we're late-" Aqua apologized to the others. "And Tyler, I'm sorry for being an asshole." Aqua told Tyler. "I forgive you." Tyler said. Orchid slapped Kaden, who was awake. "Wake up!" he said. "AHHHH HUMAN!" Kaden screamed loudly as he jumped over the wall. This revealed their location to the monster. "Oh No-." Kaden realized what he had done. Kaden ran back to the wall, and screamed: "RUN!!!!" Kaden was way ahead of everyone else, yet they all followed. The creature was chasing after them. Aqua stopped, as everyone else was running. "Are we missing someone?!" Snow asked. "Aqua!" Edric yelled. "Don't worry! I'll use my gear to stop this." Aqua replied. He pulled out a wand looking device, with a battery. He also put down a disk on the floor, and it created a force-field so the creature couldn't attack Aqua. "Now, Vora, if you can hear me, look at this little wand thing. You may wonder what it does, right? If you can hear me that is. Welp, this object can do almost any type of magic. Now, how did I get to that length in science? I won't reveal my secrets. But I call it EUOM, "Every Usage of Magic. Not very catchy, is it?" Aqua said. He turned off the force field, and used the wand to blast himself into the air, he did a backflip, and landed behind the creature. He used an explosion spell, and some of the goop flew off of the creature. The loose goop scurried away into the bushes. Aqua ran towards the creature, and dove into the goop. He dug through it, and felt a flesh area in the goop. Vora! He thought. He pulled out divining gear, and went inside. It reformed the destroyed goop. The other saw the creature stop, it seemed like it was shocked. Aqua was surprised to see this, as he saw her with goop inside her mouth, and Vora tied up with it. "Damn- I kind of feel bad-" Aqua said to himself. "She's still annoying though." He added. Aqua untied Vora, yet the goop in her mouth was still there. He tried to pull it out, yet failed to do so. Aqua sighed. "This may hurt." He said. He pulled and pulled at the goop, and yanked it out of the goop wall. Vora started coughing, yet, she was still unconscious. The creature's hide started to crumble, so Aqua pulled out the EUOM, and used the explosion spell. There was an opening, and jumped out of the creature, dragging Vora with him. As they were falling, Aqua pulled out a beaker with abomination goop and poured it onto the ground for a soft surface for them to land on. When they landed, Edric, Orchid, Kaden, Snow, Cacti, and Tyler ran over to help Aqua out. "Is she- is she dead?" Kaden asked Aqua. "No. Just unconscious." Aqua told him. Kaden sighed in relief. "So uh- what now?" Orchid asked. "I'll call an rambulance." Tyler said. "Good idea." Snow said. Edric ran over to hug Aqua. "You okay?" Edric asked. "Yeah, I'm good." Aqua said as hugged Edric tighter. "They should be here soon." Tyler said. There, the friends stood there, thinking about their journey that had just ended, and they all sat down and looked at the sunset.
2 Weeks Later
"You promise you'll be here this time?" Edric asked, as he put on his shiny blue suit. "Promise." Aqua said. Edric closed the door to his room, and walked down the stairs. "Where are you going?" Amity asked. "A date." Edric told her. "You're lucky. The person that I like is so oblivious." Amity told him. "Your loss. How about you tell him?" Edric said. Amity laughed. Him? She thought. As Edric walked out the door, he saw the carriage that he ordered. He opened the door and hopped in. "Hidey-Ho!" The Carriageman said as the demons who controlled the carriage started flying. The carriage was very high up in the air. Edric looked outside, and put both his arms outside of the carriage. Though, he accidentally dropped his phone. "Dammit." He said to himself.
Aqua was waiting at the table in the diner, looking at his watch. Where is he? Aqua thought. Just as he tried to call Edric, Edric ran over to the table. "You're here!" Aqua said. "You look nice." Edric told Aqua, who was wearing a yellow dress. "I'd say the same for you, but you're more than nice." Aqua said. "Very funny. So, what do you want to order?" Edric asked. "I'll get a Burnt-Eel-Sandwich." Aqua told him. "Hmmmm. I'll think of something." Edric said. As Edric was thinking about what to eat, a man with a cloak and a hat with horns walked over to their table. "Are you two Aqua and Edric?" The man asked. "Yeah- who's asking?" Aqua asked. "Me, Lex Bloise, the leader of The Emperor's Coven Scientific study." Lex said. "What did we do?!" Edric asked in fear. "Nothing. We're impressed by Aqua's feats. How did you create the Abomination symbiote? Or the EUOM?" Lex asked. "Wouldn't you like to know." Aqua said to him. "Also, I have news about Vora." Lex said. "You managed to almost murder someone un-intentionally." He added. "Not my fault that she mixed the bottles-" Aqua whispered to himself. "Her status is severe. The rouge abomination goop damaged her bile sack, leaving her in a coma, and her magical ability most likely gone." Lex revealed. "Interesting. So- Aqua- wanna work on a cure?" Lex asked. "What- hell no! I'm not in the healing track-" Aqua said. "Welp, you're basically responsible for this, but we won't arrest you, you're too young and It was obviously an accident." Lex said. "Thanks, I don't need my parents to know my business." Aqua said. Lex walked away, and Aqua and Edric continued their menu search. "Y'know what, I'll just get what you got." Edric said. Aqua laughed. "Good luck enjoying it, it takes time to get used to it." Aqua told him. "I'll take my time." Edric told him.
