Me: wanna hang out today?😃
Shelby: no I'm sorry but I can't, I have a lot to do😬

Shelby: yeah sure
I know Shelby said she hadn't been distanced because of me and that she's fine, but I can't help but to think maybe she is mad at me for some reason
Because she's still making up excuses not to hang around me as much, she still acting a little weird
But everytime I ask her she say 'it's nothing'

A light knock happen on the door before Martha walked in
"Wassuh?" I asked sitting up
"Me and Marcus are going bowling and I know how much you love bowling so I was wondering do you wanna come?" She asked

"You and who?" I asked looking confused
"Marcus" she repeated
"Who the fuck is Marcus?" I asked
"This guy that I been seeing" she said blushing
"What? You're seeing some one and you're just now telling me?" I asked
"You've been very busy lately and you barley even hang out or talk to me anymore" she said shrugging
I felt bad, have I really been this blind with Shelby that I haven't been hanging out with my sister
"I'm sorry" I said genuinely
"It's okay, but are you coming?" She asked
"Um sure" I said getting up and putting on my shoes
"So do I know this Marcus guy?" I asked
She shrugged "I don't think so, but I'm not sure" she responded
"How did you guys meet?" I asked
"At Fatin's party, but he not really in school, he graduated last year" she answered
We started walking outside
"Do you like him?" I asked
"I really do Toni, he's funny, he's cute, he smart, and he is so sweet" she answered smiling ear to ear
I nodded, I can tell she really like him just off the way she light up when she talks about him
We got into a car and she sat in the passenger sit and I sat in the back
As soon as I shut the car door I was greeted with a bright smile on some dude I'm guessing Marcus face
"Hey I'm Marcus and I'm guessing you're Toni?" He asked with his hand out to shake
"Yeah yeah yeah, cut the bullshit, what's your intentions with Marty?" I asked staring at him
"Well my intentions is to make her my girl real soon" he said smiling at her, than he turned to face me again
"I heard a lot about you, Martha always talks about you" he said
"Yeah? Well I heard not much about you, I just find out you exist like 5-10 minutes ago" I responded
He chuckled... "Marty was right you are funny" he said
"Hey, I'm the only one who can call her Marty" I said
"Toni... stop it's fine" Martha said looking back at me
I rolled my eyes
"Fine, but you better not be one of those dudes who wants a girl just to get in her pants and once you do that you never call again, cause if that's the case... I'll cut your little thing off and feed it to Marty's cat" I said
"TONI" Martha called out as Marcus just laughed
"What? I'm just saying, and he's laughing Martha, lighten up" I said shrugging
Once he laughter died down he started to talk... "first off ouch, and second don't worry I'm not that type of guy" he said

"Good cause Marty is the best person I ever met, and she deserves the world and more" I said sitting my hand on her shoulder, she looked at me like she really appreciate what I said
"And I'm the lucky guy that's going to give it to her" he responded
"You guys are the best" Martha said smiling widely
Shelby pov
Since my little brother won the final goal in soccer my daddy decided we should celebrate
So we went to a restaurant and ate and talk having great family time
I love family time, we usually have it like every Sunday, but when we do something good we celebrate by eating whatever we want without daddy saying anything
We have so much fun just talking and laughing with each other, and being goofy
As we was laughing and talking two guys holding hands came in
I watched as my dad's smile dropped and he shook his head at the couple
"Do you see that?" He asked
"We can't even sit in the restaurant without being uncomfortable" he said
"Honey it's fine, don't let it ruin your mood" my mom spoke
"Jobeth it won't ruin my mood, because how much I can't stand that way of life, as long as my family ain't involved or around that sinful life than I'm okay" he spoke
I dropped my head at the harsh words
"God sent his only begotten son to die on the cross for our sins just for people to repay him like this" he said
"Honey, can we not talk about this we are suppose to be celebrating Spencer" my mom spoke seeing me get tense
"I'm just saying, I don't want anybody to burn in hell, but it's look like it's going that way" he said
"Dave that's enough for today" my mom said semi yelling
He looked at her like she was crazy
"We suppose to be having fun and you taking it away, Spencer just scored the final point, we here to celebrate not to talk about our beliefs" she said
"Jobeth you know God is everywhere, and he is always watching over us, and my beliefs is everywhere" he spoke
"Guys can we talk about something else, I don't want you guys to fight" my sister Mel spoke
"We're not fighting" my mom said
"Yeah let's just leave this topic behind" my dad spoke
All I could do is think
if he this disgusted by random people, how will he feel if it's his own daughter?
He probably will disown me
See look at me doubting telling him, Toni deserve so much better
Daddy probably would want to send me away if he found out about her, he probably would want me to forget about her and stop talking to her
