I was standing inside my bedroom, I kept glancing back at the opened letter on my desk.
It was clearly from Father, but the letter neither agreed nor denied her request to have a debutante ball...
Right now, I'm just assuming that he agrees since I am still a royal family member, I could still have my debutante.
I just hope he remembers to send a seamstress and ask for my opinions regarding the party.
I sat down and read the letter, it was the first letter that I received from Father, all my previous letters, especially those that I have sent on my birthdays, didn't have a response.
The rest of the week passed, and it's only a few weeks before my debutante... but I still haven't been informed of any plans.
Four days ago, a seamstress arrived, she was friendly... I hope...
She took my measurements, asked what I wanted on my dress, the colour of it, and the designs.
I haven't seen Athanasia nor Father since the last time, I wonder when's her debutante... I'm secretly hoping it's not on the same day as mine.
It may seem selfish, but I don't want to share my special day, my day of debuting to society, to be shared.
I went near the head maid, she turned her head to me and bowed.
"Are there any news of any preparation?"
The head maid looked at the other maids first and they left leaving me and her, "There are no announcements yet, Princess. His Majesty hasn't mentioned or ordered any servants yet."
What she said pained me. But I can't think negatively. I just nodded and returned to my chamber.
A seamstress had already come, it means a party will be happening... maybe it's a surprise?!
I suddenly felt giddy thinking that Father might be planning a surprise party, that's why there's no rushing.
I laughed at the thought.
'I can't wait!'
The day passed by with a blur. I am mostly focused on my homework but sometimes I get sidetracked thinking about the party.
All kinds of 'what ifs' entered my mind throughout the day, but after eating dinner, I felt tired and fell asleep instantly once I fell onto her bed.
I suddenly woke up, and when I looked around it is already midnight.
I grabbed a shawl that is laying on one of my couches, I left the room, and soon stepped outside of my palace.
It's been so long.
I roamed around, but not too far, just in case I need to come back quickly. While walking, I heard faint noises.
I tiptoed and tried to peek where the noises are coming from, and once I saw the source of the noise, my eyes widened.
I saw Athanasia leaning her head on a man's shoulder, He had long hair but was currently tied. They were sitting on the grass and looking up to the sky filled with stars.
They were chatting, and I felt disgusted.
I wasn't disgusted by the thought of me peeking on her but I was disgusted for her.
How could she meet with a man, in the middle of the night and she hasn't even debuted yet! I left the two of them there and went back to my chamber, without making any noise.
Once I arrived, I laid down and forced myself to sleep again, which worked since it made me drowsy, and my mind was filled with thoughts about what I saw, but one thing was the last thing I thought about before I fell asleep once again.
How could you disgrace the royal family's name?!'
