They had just settled into the compartment, and Fred and George had just left their compartment to catch up with Lee and his siblings. Ophelia, Cedric and Luca were all exhausted from their trip, and the jetlag was not helping either.
"Do you realize that we only have a year left at Hogwarts?" Ophelia murmured as the train started, looking out the window at the passing scenery. "Feels like I've been here forever even though it's only my second year. I loved Ilvermorny, but sometimes I wonder how fun it would've been if I really grew up in the castle with all of you."
"Yeah," Luca replied, propping his feet up against the window. "It's not like you missed much, just Ced going through some painful puberty and me being beautiful as always."
"Seriously?"
"Yeah you should've seen him third year—his voice would be cracking every time he spoke. Once you'd talk to him, you'd know what he got kicked out of the Frog Choir."
Ophelia laughed, thinking back to when they were still preteens, when her and Naomi would try all the different skincare products to find ones that would make their skin clearer, or when they would hide their "scandalous" clothes from their parents. She really missed her.
"Alright alright," Cedric interrupted. "Let's not talk about that...period of time."
"Well, it seems like puberty did it's job right, so." Ophelia smirked, tracing a finger around his sharp jawline. "But seriously, seventh year is going to pass by so fast, just like how this year has. I mean who knew last year this time that Ced would be the next Triwizard Tournament Champion?"
"Not yet," Cedric corrected.
"You will be." Ophelia said firmly. "Speaking of which, when's the last task?"
"June, I think. Have no fucking clue what it is either."
"You'll be fine," Luca waved off. "We'll help you prepare."
"I don't know...all the tournaments I've read about...the third task is the hardest, most dangerous one of all."
Ophelia was worried, but she didn't want to show it for Cedric's sake. Somehow she had a bad feeling about it. "2 months," she echoed.
"And exams in between," Luca added.
"Ah fuck," Ophelia rolled her eyes. "Had an amazing spring break, and now we just gotta push through these two months of probably absolute academic hell."
hey guys! It's been so long I didn't even realize :( I had midterms this month and that shit during online learning sucks. Also I just wanted to say that it sucks that so many amazing books are being removed/ halted bc the HP fandom is getting toxic or because of the new owners of wattpad? that's what I've heard but I'm not even sure. For me if there are any negative comments(I love you all, btw) I kind of just ignore them bc this is just for both mine and you guys' fun so if you don't like it then too bad. It's just sad that some of my favorite comfort books are now gone but i totally respect any decisions any of the authors on wattpad make bc they're all so amazing, and if it's because of wattpad itself than that sucks just let us write what we want to write(especially with all the effort put into them). Sorry for the short chapter, now that I'm done w school work they'll be another one coming up really soon! xx
