"You... fell off a cliff?" Tanjiro blinks.
"Voluntarily." You correct him.
"You... voluntarily fell off a cliff?" Tanjiro blinks.
You throw your right arm up in defeat, "Why is that the thing to focus on?"
"Because you fell off a cliff!" Kyojuro comments.
"Voluntarily!"
Sanemi shakes his head, "That really doesn't make it better."
You were back at the Butterfly Estate after the meeting with the Pillars.
Tanjiro had apparently accompanied Kyojuro to the Estate to help carry your things to take you back to the Rengoku Estate. Nezuko had stayed back at the Estate since Tanjiro was going to have to carry Sekido.
Sanemi was with you because he "wanted to make sure you don't swallow your own tongue".
Simps.
You were waiting for Shinobu to come back to redo your bandages on your left shoulder since the one you had was half assed so you could see Ubuyashiki.
She's also supposed to come back with medical supplies so you could treat your wounds on your own. It was easy to convince her to let you go since you've had some "training" in the medical field considering you were studying to become a surgeon.
Once you get to the Rengoku Estate, you're going to have to write a letter to Gerik.
Fuckos One, Two, and Three forgot to retrieve your kama from the forest. So now you were without a weapon.
Sad boi hours.
"Onē-Chan!"
You look over from your bed to see Naho, Kiyo, and Sumi. Sumi had a pink folded clothing article, and Kiyo had a white one.
"Things One, Two and Three!" You grin, "How are you girls doing?"
"A lot better now that you're okay!" Kiyo nods.
"Yeah! You were only gone for a few days and you already got yourself hurt," Sumi pouts.
"Onē-Chan can't be left unsupervised!" Naho gasps.
"Wha-I had Giyuu with me!" You feel kind of offended because they were 100% right.
"Tomioka is an airhead," Sanemi scoffs, "He can't be left unsupervised either."
"You shouldn't say that, Sanemi," You frown, "It's not nice and it's not fair to talk about someone who isn't here to defend themselves."
Sanemi rolls his eyes and mutters a "fine whatever".
"What are those that you have, girls?" Kyojuro smiles.
Kiyo pipes up and walks over to hand the white clothing article to Sanemi, "We cleaned your haori and sewed back up!"
Sanemi takes his haori and pats Kiyo softly on her head, "Thank you."
Kiyo squeals quietly as Sumi holds out the pink clothing to you.
"This is the vest that was tied around your shoulder!" Sumi smiles as you take the vest, "The material is so soft, and it's really strong, too!"
You chuckle and hold the vest out in front of you, "I forgot about this! Thanks for cleaning it up for me!"
"Hey!" Tanjiro points at it accusingly, "Is-Isn't that Akaza's?!"
You sweat nervously, "Uh-"
"-It is!" Kyojuro points to the vest too, "That's his! I remember!"
"Why do you have it?" Sanemi frowns as he points to the vest as well.
"Wha-Why are you all ganging up on me?!" You hug the vest to your chest instinctively to keep it safe, "I kept it so that I wouldn't bleed to my death! I didn't even know they kept it and were cleaning it, okay? Give me a break!"
"Yeah! You can't just overwhelm Onē-Chan like that!" Sumi defends.
"Yeah! She's really hurt and you're all bombarding her with accusations? Are you really that insensitive?" Naho scoffs.
"Yeah! You think she wants to be targeted the way she is? She doesn't even have her haori anymore, she needs something to cover herself up! Just leave her alone!" Kiyo huffs.
Oh dip.
"Wh-I-Yeah! I am the victim here!" You pathetically try to add on to the girls attacks.
"Sorry." The men mutter out in shame.
"Hey, Kiyo," You call out, "You know if Sekido is ready?"
Kiyo cocks her head side to side, "Sekido said something about the tear wanting to close, but he didn't want it to close, but it the tear didn't care about what Sekido wanted, and that the tear was taking the kids, and then Sekido cried and fell asleep."
What the fuck Sekido?
"Wait, what was that about the tear closing?" Tanjiro pipes up.
"What about the tear taking the kids? What the fuck was that?" Sanemi questions.
Kiyo shrugs, "I'm sorry, but I don't know."
That's Taisho Era slang for "Op what the FUCK does this mean?" And "I don't fucking know dude."
"I'll talk to him later when we arrive at the Rengoku Estate," You said, "Thanks for the update, Kiyo."
"Alright, (Y/n)!" Shinobu walks in with Aoi coming in right behind her, "Let's get you patched up and you'll be on your way!"

"Shinazugawa," Kyojuro smiles, "Are you... planning to come with us or...?"
Sanemi tilts his head and cocks an eyebrow, "Huh?"
"You are waiting with us when you don't have to, and you came along with us as well. I just assumed-"
"-I just need to ask (Y/n) a question before she goes," Sanemi says.
Tanjiro, Kyojuro, and Sanemi were waiting out in the hallway as Shinobu and Aoi worked to clean your wound and patch it up before you go.
At first, they were going to just stay in the room, but then you started to take off your shirt so they quickly left.
Sanemi and Kyojuro we're leaning against the wall while Tanjiro stood in front of Kyojuro.
"Did you and (Y/n) have a bonding moment or something?" Tanjiro wasn't the type to poke fun like that, but he picked up on some of your worst habits.
"Watch it, Kamado."
"He's just teasing you, Shinazugawa!" Kyojuro laughs, "Although, I wonder the same thing. You did give her your haori before she went on her assignment with Tomioka, did you not?"
"Wha-I-" Sanemi cross his arms and turns away, "-That's none of your damn business!"
"Hey!" A small child's voice rang out, "Can one of you guys help me out?"
The three stooges turn to their left and see a tiny Sekido wearing big clothes, struggling to drag his box and your backpack out of a room he stayed in.
Tanjiro smiles while walking towards the demon, "Sure! I'll be the one to carry your box today!"
Sekido lets go of the straps and plops down on the floor.
He looks so teeny.
So tiny.
Baby.
"I've seen how you move. Always jumping and running around. Nezuko probably gets sick and headaches," Sekido sinks down to hide in his clothes, "I am not looking forward to this."
Tanjiro sulks at Sekido's words while he helps him into the box.
Sanemi scoffs and looks away.
He didn't like Sekido. Not one bit. The only reason why he's tolerating the demon is because your life's on the line.
Even if Sekido was admittedly a chill person, the fact that he's a demon that's eaten people was enough for Sanemi to stand by his opinion.
"You know, he's right, Tanjiro," Kyojuro smiles, "Be careful with Sekido or he might give (Y/n) a complaint."
Sekido would never do that. He's mean but he's not an asshole. Still, he didn't deny it since the look of panic on Tanjiro's face was priceless.
"Huh?! What?! N-No!! Sekido w-You wouldn't do that, right?!"
Sekido shrugs as he crawls into his box with your backpack. He should probably decorate the inside of the box at some point.
"Maybe. Maybe not. We'll see how this goes first." Sekido hums.
Tanjiro carefully closes the box and carefully lifts it from the ground. Carefully, he slips the straps on and carefully adjusts the box to be more comfortable. He does all this very carefully.
Sekido knocks from inside the box: "Horrible. I hated it. 0 stars."
Tanjiro cries like a bitch baby: "HUH?! BUT I-"
"-Sekido, are you bullying Tanjiro?" You interrupt.
You came out the room in your uniform with Shinobu and Aoi coming out after you. You had a brown bag filled with medical supplies and Akaza's vest was in there too. Aoi takes a long look at you before smiling and leaving to attend other patients.
"Yes, he is!" Tanjiro huffs.
"Aw, poor baby-"
Sanemi rolls his eyes.
"-Want me to yell at him?"
Tanjiro sighs, "No, that's not necessary. Let me carry that for-"
"-I'll carry that for you, (Y/n)," Kyojuro walks behind you and takes the bag out of your hand, "You shouldn't strain yourself at the moment."
You pout at the Flame Pillar, "Huh? But I-"
"-He's right!" Shinobu chimes in, "At least for the next 30 days, you need to relax your upper body as much as you can."
You nod and sigh, "Yeah I know. I just feel bad."
"Don't feel bad, (Y/n)," Kyojuro rubs the right side of your back, "Just focus on healing."
You scoff dramatically and look over to Sanemi with an exasperated look.
The corner of your lips quirk up: "Can you believe this shit, 'Nemi?"
Sanemi squints before sighing quietly, "Can I talk (Y/n) alone? I want to ask her something that's really none of your guy's business."
Oh???
You all look at the Wind Pillar in surprise. Though the two other Pillars and Tanjiro nod in agreement, Shinobu was giving Sanemi a knowing look as the three of them leave the hallway to give you and Sanemi privacy.
You were standing across the Pillar stiffly, very confused on why he'd want a one-on-one with you.
"Um, look," You awkwardly rub the back of your neck, "If you're gonna scold me for ruining your haori, you can save it. I feel really bad about it, I really do. I swear I-"
"-What did I say about apologizing so much?" Sanemi pushes himself off the wall to stand closer.
You grin at his tired tone, "Sorry."
"Dude."
"You've never said dude before," You laugh, "Hey, but seriously, what's up?"
"I wanted to ask you about your clairvoyance," Sanemi crosses his arms over his chest, "You're not really clairvoyance, right? You're hiding something, aren't you?"
Oh son of a bitch.
