"where the hell are you?" hyejin grunted to the other side of the phone call, trying to make her way through the crowd. it was extremely crowded in hongdae, barely any space to move around.
"here dumbass."
"where?" hyejin sounded more puzzled than ever, frowning as her eyes zoomed across the area in front of her. there was no blonde figure in sight that looked like xiaojun.
"boo."
frightened, hyejin let out a sharp shriek as she turned to the direction of where the voice was from. xiaojun was standing right behind her, grinning from ear to ear while waving cheekily at her.
"xiaojun!" hyejin's expression was mad, trying to look all serious, but xiaojun only thought she looked cute instead. "here," xiaojun said as he handed her a styrofoam bowl of fish balls bought from a nearby vendor. "eat something and don't starve yourself."
nodding and thanking xiaojun, hyejin took the bowl of fish balls and began eating them as she led the way to where shotaro was. loud music could be heard blasting through the speakers and more people were seen gathering at one area.
the two stopped and joined in a crowd of people who were cheering loudly. the performance was absolutely spectacular, but shotaro seemed to stand out when compared to others in his team with his extraordinary dancing skills.
"this is for my sister!" shotaro shouted as he tapped on a different song on his phone, and a familiar tune began to play from the speakers.
"the stealer by the boyz!" hyejin began jumping up and down, squealing with joy and excitement. "god i love my brother!"
the performance continued with hyejin's screaming from time to time, which was then followed by another small crowd in the audience cheering for shotaro. hyejin beamed proudly and clapped enthusiastically when the music ended.
shotaro and his team began packing up, and the crowd began to disperse. "shotaro!" hyejin ran up to her brother and gave him a small playful push.
shotaro turned around and saw his sister, in which he showed a warm smile in response. "you came!"
"i did, and xiaojun is here too!"
xiaojun and shotaro exchanged mysterious glances with each other as a cheeky smile creeped up on both their faces. "i absolutely loved your dance of the stealer, it was so good!"
just as shotaro was about to thank hyejin, his teammates came up to him while cheering loudly. "shotaro the stealer performance is legendary!"
"shut it! especially you sungchan!"
the tall boy stuck his tongue out to shotaro playfully before running back to pack up. his teammates followed, running back one by one. "i think i should go help them out now, i'll meet you at home."
"sure, i'll be waiting for you at home then," hyejin reassured him as she began to walk in the opposite direction with xiaojun. "bye shotaro!" her brother waved back, walking away to join his teammates.
"now what, where do we go?"
"do you want to just call it a day? or do you have anything you want to do in mind?" hyejin asked xiaojun, kicking a stone on the road.
xiaojun shook his head, but he didn't really want the hangout to end. it's been quite a while since they've spent time and had fun with each other, and he certainly enjoyed the day a lot with hyejin's presence.
"wait actually," xiaojun turned to his friend who was speaking. "do you mind coming to my home to help with cooking? shotaro has had a busy day and he will probably feel tired when he gets home so i don't think he'll have the energy to cook. i want to cook but you know for a fact that i'll burn down the kitchen," hyejin rambled on and on until she finally stopped with a why-am-i-talking-so-much look on her face.
xiaojun began to snicker at his friend's look, which in return he earned a glare from hyejin.
"i'll go i'll go! now stop glaring because you look scary doing that!"
a smug smile appeared on hyejin's face as she swung her arm around xiaojun's shoulder, leading the way home.
