A few weeks had passed and me and Von still was avoiding each other. I was supposed to go see him today so that I could get Dayvon from him and that was it. I felt better about the situation and felt like I was ready to put all of it in the past but I didn't know how Von was feeling. I woke up at 11:30am to go get him and I put on some grey sweatpants and a hoodie. I put on some boots then I walked in Mani's room. Mani: "Hey bitch. Where you goin?" Me: "I need you to take me to get Dayvon." Mani: "Ight. How you been feeling?" She put a long sleeve shirt over her tank top and I said "I feel better. Ion know how Von doin tho so I'm just gon wait it out." Mani: "See, time is all y'all needed." Me: "We don't know bout him tho so I'm not gon get my hopes up. I'm just preparing myself for the worst." Mani: "Stop. Don't do dat" She put her shoes on and said "It's unhealthy." We walked downstairs and I seen Momma and Daddy in the kitchen talking. Daddy: "Hey babygirl." Me: "Hi." Mom: "How you feelin baby?" Me: "A lot better than I did a lil while ago." Mom: "Good. Where y'all goin?" Mani: "She gotta go pick up Dayvon." Mom: "Oh ight just take my car." She gave me a kiss on the cheek and handed Mani her keys. I opened the door and we walked out to the car. We got in and she drove me to the house. Mani: "You quiet." Me: "Hm?" Mani: "You quieter than usual today." Me: "Oh... I jus been thinking bout a lot of stuff. Imma be out inna minute." I got out and knocked on the door then Von opened the door. He was standing there wearing the same outfit I was and we stared at each other. Von: "Lemme go get his stuff." I stepped in and shut the door then I seen Dayvon sitting in the floor in his seat. Me: "Hi baby. I missed you" I gave him some kisses then Von came back downstairs with the diaper bag and said "All his stuff should be in there." Me: "Ight.. I preciate it." I picked the car seat up and Von said "Mani out there?" Me: "Yeah." Von: "Go put him inna car and come back. I needa talk to you." My stomach started flopping because I was starting to think the worst. Von: "It might take a minute too so just tell her to take Dayvon back to yo mama house. I'll bring you back too." Me: "Okay..." I walked back out and put Dayvon in the backseat then I said "He wants to talk so... just take him back." Mani: "You sure? Cus I can wait." Me: "Yeah. He said he gon bring me home so imma be back in a lil bit." Mani: "Tell me what happened when he brings you back." Me: "Okay." She rolled the window up then she pulled off. I walked back in the house and Von was sitting on the couch watching TV. Me: "So whatchu needa talk bout?" He cut the TV off then he said "Us." My stomach started feeling heavy and I just wanted to cry but I kept it all in the best way I could. I sat on the couch and said "Uh... that's a good idea." Von: "Look I'm sorry." I felt tears coming down my face and I tried not to look at him. Von: "Whatchu cryin for?" Me: "Nothing..." He wiped my face with his sleeve then he said "I just needa let you know a few things. I know it be lookin like ion care and shit but I'm tellin you rn I care bout everything you tell me. I'm sorry I was bein rude to you and shit ma. You know I love you doe.. You helped me thru a lot of shit and kept me outta trouble. You been on my mind a lot and I been feeling weird without you here wimme. I fuckin hate when yeen around." I put my head down and kept wiping my eyes then he said "Ion know how to express allat shit Lai. I was pissed off at myself for hurtin yo feelings da way I did. Imma start explainin shit to you better, emotions and allat shit. Imma need you to help me wit dat doe. Mani told me you good wit dat shit. Ion know how you feeling but I been wanting to let you know dat for a minute." I kept my face down then he said "You lookin cute today doe." I laughed and he said "What?" Me: "Nothing." Von: "You keep sayin nothin but I think it's sum. You good?" Me: "I am now." Von: "Good." Me: "You had me thinking you was tryna leave me." Von: "Hell naw. I told you bout allat." Me: "I know but I was just over thinkin it." We got quiet and I stared at the floor. I got up and said "Um... can you take me back?" Von: "Yeah I gotchu." He ran upstairs then he came back down a few minutes later putting stuff in his pockets. Von: "I see you tryna match me 🤣." I shook my head then we walked outside. I got in the car and he took me back to my parents house. We sat in the car in silence for a few minutes before I walked in. Von: "Just call me whenever you ready ight?" Me: "Okay..." We looked at each other then I gave him a quick kiss and got out the car. He rolled the window down and said "Aye." I turned around and he got out then he gave me a kiss and said "There you go ma." He gave me a hug then I heard Mani say "WHOO I SEE Y'ALL" I started laughing then Von put his hands on my waist. Von: "Imma let chu get inna house na." Me: "Okay.." He gave me another kiss then I walked in the house. Momma turned around and said "Who da hell was Imani yellin at?" Me: "Me and Von.." Daddy: "Oh you went to see him?" Me: "Yeah he brought me back." Mom: "So y'all good na?" Me: "Uh I guess so?" Daddy: "Dats good." Mani came downstairs with Dayvon on her hip then she said "Awww y'all was so cutee. Wit ya lil matchin fits." Me: "I ain't even know he was gon be wearing this.." Mani: "Instinct." She handed me the baby and said "At least he ain't gotta be bouncing around between houses no mo." Me: "Aye ion know if we gon good terms again.." Mani: "Girl please da way y'all was kissin? Y'all good." I started laughing then she said "So what y'all finna do?" Me: "Ion know... He told me to call him whenever I was ready but I'm nervous." Mani: "Aw." Me: "I got butterflies... I feel like we just met or sum." Mani started squealing then she said "Laiyaaaa. Aw. You need to go see him again." Me: "I want to..." Mom: "Then go. He told you to go when you was ready." Me: "I'm nervous and ion know why" Daddy: "Well you figure out whenever you wanna call em." I took Dayvon upstairs with me and laid him on the bed. He was giggling whenever I did anything so I was just sitting there making him laugh. Me: "Whatchu so happy for tinka?" Mani came in and said "Call himmm." Me: "Not now. I wanna spend time wit my tinka butt first. I ain't seen him inna minute" Mani: "Fine. But you have to go then." Me: "Fine." She sat on the bed with me then she started playing with him too. After it started getting dark outside, Dayvon started getting cranky so I fed him and put him in his swing so he could go to sleep. I got up to take a shower then I knocked on the bathroom door. Mani: "Yes?" Me: "I'm tryna take a shower come out." She walked out and said "You betta hurry up. Me: "I will just come on." She walked out and I got in the shower.
I got out about an hour later then I went in my room. Dayvon was still layin in his swing asleep. I decided to just take him out and let him lay on the bed since I was gon be in the room with him. Q texted me like he did every day to check up on me. He told me he was genuinely concerned and didn't want me to hurt myself so he said he was gon text me every day until he felt like I was doing good. He ended up calling me and saying "You doin ight today?" Me: "Yeah.. I went to see him today" Q: "How'd it go?" Me: "We talked about it and he just told me to call him whenever." Q: "Did you?" Me: "No I been nervous... I might call him tomorrow" Q: "Ugh wack. I wanna know something todayyy." Me: "I want to see him now but I'm real nervous. Imma have to ask Mani to watch the baby... What if he's sleep?" Q: "Girl bye." Me: "I'm scared" Q: "Of what? That's basically yo husband bitch. Y'all know each other like da back of yo hand." Me: "I don't know Q... I feel like he's a lil school crush or sum" Q started laughing then he said "Aww. I ain't gon force you to go girl. Go on yo time." Me: "Imma prolly go tomorrow." Q: "You betta. Imma call you sometime tomorrow ight?" Me: "Okay byee." Q: "You bet not hurt yo self." Me: "I'm not 🤣" Q: "Good. Bye frennn." He hung up and I started laughing. I was getting a lil tired myself so I put Dayvon in his swing then I kissed his head. Me: "Look just like yo daddy. Don't matter whatchu doin." I pulled my blanket back then I got in the bed and went to sleep.

My phone started ringing at 2:30am and I seen that I had a few missed calls from Von. He started to facetime me and I picked up and rolled over. Von: "Lai." Me: "Hm?" Von: "You up?" Me: "I was sleep." Von: "Damn my bad... I'll let chu go back to sleep." Me: "Nah I'm up now." Von: "Is Dayvon sleep?" Me: "I know you ain't call me at 2 inna morning to check onnat boy." He started laughing and I seen a lil bit of his face in the camera. Von: "Yeah.. I wanted to call you and see if you was ight." Me: "I'm good." Von: "Put yo face inna camera ma." Me: "Uhnt uhn I just woke up." Von: "I've seen you while you sleep before. And when you first wake up so lemme see it." Me: "Why.." Von: "Cus you look good" I started smiling then I said "No." Von: "Why yo room so dark?" Me: "Cus I cut everything off before I went to sleep" Von: "Baby come home." Me: "Huh?" Von: "Come home bruh" Me: "Why?" Von: "Cus I miss you. I ain't seen you inna minute." Me: "Ion know... I wanna see you too" Von: "Den come on. You grown na" Me: "I'm scared" Von: "Why?" Me: "Cus what if it's too early..." Von: "If we got a problem we gon talk it out." Me: "Fr?" Von: "Yeah. I'm fr sorry for bein dat rude to you Lai. I been feelin bad bout it since. Von: "Nah it's been like dis I just ain't know how to show it." I felt myself blushing then I sighed and said "I preciate you makin an effort." Von: "I'm not letting you go nowhere ma." Me: "I know." Von: "So you gon come home?" Me: "I ain't got nobody to watch Dayvon." Von: "Get Mani." Me: "Ion know if she up.." Von: "She should be. She was jus out wit Durk a cuppa minutes ago." Me: "Hollon." I got up and walked in her room and she was standing in her mirror wrapping her hair up. Mani: "Damn bitch. Bussin up in here like dat. I thought you was sleep" Me: "I was. Can you watch Dayvon?" Mani: "Yeah where he at?" Me: "My room. He sleep, I just wanna make sure somebody there if he wake up." Mani: "Ight I gotchu. Where you finna go?" Me: "Von wants me to come over..." Mani: "Ouuu 😏" Me: "Quit. Ion even think it's like dat 😂. We just miss each other a lot." Mani: "Make up sex. I called it." Me: "Hush. You gon watch him?" Mani: "Mhm. You got a ride?" Me: "Imma prolly just take Momma's car." Mani: "Okay. Be safee." She threw a condom at me and started laughing. Me: "Ion need this 🤣" Mani: "You gon end up with another kid." Me: "We not gon be fuckin." Mani: "You neva know." I rolled my eyes and went back in my room. Von was still on the phone but I didn't know if he could hear me. Me: "Von?" He popped his head in the camera and said "Yeo." Me: "Imma be over inna lil bit." Von: "Ight bet. Imma see you den." He poked his lips out at the camera and I started laughing. Von: "Nigga you posed to do it back?" Me: "Why? Ion know what dat is 😭" Von: "Bruh issa kiss. You posed to do it back." He poked his lips out again and I did the same thing then he said "Yeahhh." Me: "Imma see you in a cuppa minutes 😂" Von: "Ight be safe ma." I hung up and laid back on the bed. Mani walked in and said "Sooo? You goin?" Me: "Yeah I gotta get dressed." I got up and grabbed a zip up jacket to put on over my bra then I put on some leggings and slippers. Mani: "You look homeless." Me: "It's almost 3am, I'm not finna be gettin all dressed up and shit." Mani: "I'm just sayin... no effort." Me: "Girl bye worry bout you." I threw my hair up in a messy bun then I said "Ight I'm not gon be out long." Mani: "Okay be safe fr." Me: "I will." I grabbed my phone and went downstairs then I picked up Momma's keys.
I got to the house in about 20 minutes then I sat in the car for a few minutes. Me: "Ion think I should be here... I can't go home tho, I told him I was coming." I stared at the door for a while then I got out and walked on the porch. I knocked on the door and started looking around to make sure nobody was coming up behind me. A few minutes later, Von opened the door and stared at me for a few seconds. He had on basketball shorts and a tank top with white socks on. Me: "Hi.." Von: "Wassup. It's cold come on." He let me in and I stood in the middle of the floor. Von: "Sit down. Dis yo house too" Me: "But yo uncle gave it to you." Von: "Us." Me: "You kicked me out tho.." Von: "Yeah I'm sorry bout allat. I just wanna work thru it and put it in the past" I sat on the couch and he said "You want sum to drink?" Me: "No." He sat next to me and he just kept staring. Me: "Whatchu starin at" Von: "You. I told you bout dat outfit mane." I started blushing again and he said "Ah sheit. I ain't seent dat inna minute." We started laughing then he put his arm around me and pulled me closer. I laid my head on his chest and he said "I ain't used to you bein gone dat long." Me: "It don't feel right." I looked up and he was staring at the TV. I sat up and gave him a kiss then he said "Yeahh. A nigga been waitin onnat." I started laughing and he gave me another kiss. He just kept kissing me then he said "I feel bad mane. I ain't wanna hurt yo feelings like dat ma." Me: "I'm not worried bout it no mo. You ain't gotta be either." Von: "Nah.. ion like dat." I shook my head and got up. Von: "Where you goin?" Me: "To the bathroom." I went upstairs and went in the bathroom. I stared at myself in the mirror then I rubbed my face. "He seems torn up bout allat stuff... Ion know what to do." I splashed some water on my face then I walked out and looked downstairs. All the lights was off so I walked in the bedroom and seen Von digging in the closet. Me: "Whatchu doin?" Von: "Tryna look for a shirt. I spilled juice on my shit" Something red fell out the closet and he picked it up and I said "Da fuck is dat?" Von started laughing then he said "Yo Christmas present from Mani." Me: "Huh..." He held it up and I realized it was the lil lingerie piece Mani bought me Christmas before last. Me: "Oh wow..." Von kept laughing then I snatched it out his hands. Von: "You only wore dat once and dat was just to try it on." Me: "And.." Von: "I'm tryna see you innat mug ma. You was lookin good asf" I laughed and said "It prolly ain't gon fit. I done had a baby and allat." Von: "Go see." I went in the bathroom and put it on and it actually fit good. I came out and looked at myself in the full body mirror and Von turned around and said "Goddamn" I started laughing and he kissed me on my neck. Me: "Move 🤣" Von: "Uhnt uhn. You put something red in front of a bull and it's gon go crazy" I turned around and put my arms around his neck then I said "You really like it?" Von: "Mhm. Ion care whatchu got on" I gave him a kiss then I said "You bein so much more opennn. You don't seem all uptight and nonchalant." Von: "Cus Mani helped me out and... I ain't wanna lose you." Me: "Aww stop you gon make me cry." Von: "I'm fr 😂" Me: "I love you." Von: "I love you too. I mean dat wit everything in me." Me: "Nique showed me dem messages." Von: "Huh?" Me: "Allem messages where you was sayin I had yo heartt" His face got a lil red and I started laughing. Von: "Aye it don't even matter. You know dat you my whole heart" Me: "Stop. You want me to cry." Von: "If it's happy cryin den yeah." I put my face in his chest and said "I'm sorry for sayin allat to you too." Von: "Ion eva wanna get into it witchu dat bad again." Me: "Me either." Von: "I was tryin hard asf not to call you doe 😂" I gave him a kiss then I started backing him up on the bed. He laid back and said "Uhnt uhn. You gon get some shit started dat youn wanna finish." Me: "Finish it for me den bae." I started laughing then I licked his neck and he said "Lai I'm tellin you." Me: "I missed you boo" Von: "I can see dat 🤣" I crawled on his chest and he said "You just needa gon head and take dat lil suit off cus it ain't gon do shit but get you pregnant." Me: "Suit?" Von: "Man whateva." I kept laughing then he put his hand on my throat and tongue kissed me. Me: "Chile." We was kissing each other for a few minutes then I got off of him and started pulling at the strings on his shorts. Von: "Ole freak ass." Me: "You started it." Von: "Uhnt uhn. You put da suit on and started gettin freaky." Me: "No you started telling me allat shit." Von: "What? Dats yo choice to be nasty den." Me: "Uhnt uhn. You know what's finna happen when you do dat." Von: "And I told you what's finna happen when you put dat damn suit on." Me: "Issa lingerie piece." Von: "Issa freak suit." I lifted his shirt and started rubbing his chest then I pulled his shorts down and started giving him head. Von: "Damn.." I was going crazy onnat thing just for him. About 10 minutes in, he stopped me and put me on the bed. He made me arch my back then he started goin ham. It felt like we was in a competition or something the way we was goin back and forth.
By the time we got done, my back was hurting and the sun was starting to come up. I was hunched over and crawling up the bed then I laid on my stomach. Von: "Told you bout dat damn suit 😂" Me: "I can't move." Von: "Cap." Me: "I'm sore." Von: "Damn... I was goin crazy on foenemmm" He started laughing then I said "Shut up." Von: "Damn the sun comin up?" Me: "Yeah.. I wasn't posed to be here this long" Von: "Oh yeen wanna be here? Dats cool." Me: "No I told Mani I was gon be gone for an hour only. She's watchin Dayvon.." Von: "Oh shit.. Hurry up and put ya clothes on." Me: "Imma have to move slow. I'm sore" Von: "I told you bout dat suit mane." Me: "Nah you just missed me." I rolled over and pulled him over top of me and gave him a kiss. He was kissing my neck then we got back into it again and he was putting my legs behind my head. He was kissing me and whispering nasty shit the whole time and I felt like I was evaporating. This time we finished at 8am and I said "I gotta go. Dayvon gon be up soon" Von: "You need me to take you home?" Me: "I took Momma's car here. Wait... fuck, fuck, fuck... Momma gotta be at work in like half an hour. Damn" Von: "I can jus take you home in ya mama car." Me: "But how you gon get back here?" Von: "I'll be ight sittin at yo parents for a lil bit." Me: "Ight." Von: "You betta hurry up and put yo clothes on 🤣" I got up and tried to stand as straight as I could then I said "Hand me allat." He tossed me my clothes then I took off what I had and put the other ones on. I got up and handed him Momma's keys then he said "You good to be walkin downstairs?" Me: "Yeah.." I started walking and I felt myself limping. Von started laughing and I said "Why you do it so hard?" Von: "You was goin crazy so I was matching the energy. Had yo ass feelin right doe huh? 😂" Me: "You coulda been gentle.. Everybody gon know." Von: "Let em know." Me: "Ion want em to know, it ain't they business." I went down the rest of the steps and we walked out. Von took me back to my parents house and we got out quick. I opened the door and snuck in then I said "You gotta be quiet." He came in behind me and closed the door softly then I peeked around the corner and Momma was sitting on the couch in her robe staring at me. Me: "Uh... Hi Momma.." Mom: "Where da fuck was you at all night? And why did you take my car?" Me: "Um... I was gon bring it back." Mom: "You brought it back at 8am." Me: "Why ain't you dressed for work?" Mom: "Aht aht aht. I get to ask questions. I'm off today but I'm still curious as to why my car was gone when I woke up. And who you sneakin in my house?" Von peeked around and said "Hey Ro." Mom: "Mhm. Dats all you hadda say Lai. My gas tank bet not be empty." Me: "I only went from here to his house." Mom: "What time did you leave?" Me: "Um.." Mom: "Laiya." Me: "Like.. 3am." Mom: "Really?" I nodded and she shook her head. Mom: "I'm glad to see y'all talkin again." Me: "Yeah." I stared at her for a minute then she said "Da hell you staring at me for?" Me: "You just sitting downstairs onna couch wit no lights on sippin on coffee. It's weird." Mom: "Girl shut up. Gon head upstairs." Me: "Uh... I'm good." Mom: "Huh?" Me: "I'm gon sit down here for a minute." Mom: "Good make me another cup please." Me: "Momma." She held out her cup and said "What?" Me: "I can't.. You got legs." Mom: "I know you ain't... girl. You got one mo time. Come here." I walked over to her and she stared at me the whole time. Mom: "Da hell-" Me: "Nothing." Von started smiling then Momma said "Lai what did I tell you?" Me: "What did you tell me mother?" Mom: "About the goin slow thing." Me: "We did go slow. We wasn't talkin for 3 weeks." Mom: "Not dat. You remember I told you to tell him to hit it-" Me: "Momma! Shh." Mom: "Don't be shushing me. I'm tryna make sure youn look a damn fool hoppin around. Von baby, you gotta start goin slow so she ain't limpin." I walked in the kitchen and put my head on the counter. Mom: "Like you can put da leg up and go slow den boom. She won't be limpin." Von started laughing and I said "Momma please stop..." Mom: "Whattt? I'm tryna help y'all." I handed her the cup of coffee then I said "Imma go upstairs." Mom: "Take dat advice. It's gon help a lot inna future." I shook my head and went upstairs in my room. I didn't see Dayvon's swing so I went in Mani's room to look for it. He was sitting in the floor shaking his toy then he seen me and Von and started kicking his feet. Von took him out the seat and said "Wassup lil folks?" He kissed his face then Mani rolled over and squinted at us. Mani: "Bitch I should smack tf outta you. You said you was gon be gone for an hour." Me: "I know I'm sorry 😭." Mani: "Why tf do Dayvon be up dat early??" Me: "At like 5?" Mani: "Yes." Me: "Ion know." Mani: "I'm pissed off at you." Me: "I'm sorry damn. I'll pay you." Mani: "Okay I'm not mad no mo." She started giggling then she said "Waittt hey Von. When did y'all get here?" Me: "Not dat long ago. Imma take Dayvon tho." Mani: "We should fall him Day Day." Von: "Hell naw." I started laughing and she said "Whyy" Von: "We already know a DaeDae and dat nigga stupid asf" Mani: "Ughh I forgot bout him." Me: "Imma let you go back to sleep." Mani: "You needa go to sleep. You been gone since like 2am." Me: "How you know I ain't gts over at my house?" Mani: "Trust me boo I know. I ain't gon say how but I do. You remember what I threw at you last night?" Me: "Yeah?" Mani: "Yeen use it?" Me: "No 🤣. I told you I didn't need to." Von: "Fuck is yall talkin bout?" We started laughing then she said "Don't worry bout it luv." Von: "Imma go take him in here." Me: "Okay imma be inn there inna lil bit." He walked out and Mani said "Shut my door." I closed it and she said "Y'all fucked obviously." Me: "What?" Mani: "Girl you standing all types of crooked so don't try sayin you didn't." Me: "Well shit... Okay so you remember whatchu got me for Christmas?" Mani: "Which Christmas?" Me: "The one before last." Mani: "Ohhh dat lil red lace thing?" Me: "Mhm." Mani: "What about it?" Me: "So I never wore it except once to try it on and-" Mani: "You bitch. I spent a lot of money onnat." Me: "Listen damn 😭." She rolled her eyes and I said "It fell out the closet and I put it on to see if it still fit then Von started tellin me a bunch of sweet shit and he was apologizing and allat and we went crazy." Mani: "Aww." Me: "I missed him so much." Mani: "I know he missed you." Me: "How you know?" Mani: "Me and Durk been over there checkin up on him." I heard my phone ringing in the other room then I said "Hollon." I ran in my room and seen Q tryna facetime me. I answered it and said "Heyy." Q: "Heyyy. You inna good mood. Wassup wit dat?" Von was sitting in the floor with Dayvon then he got up and sat on the bed with me. Me: "Nun I'm just inna good mood." Q: "Well girl you finna go see Von today." He put Dayvon between us then he put his arm around me and I said "I already did." Q: "When?" Von: "Middle of da night." Q: "Oh heyyyy." He started waving and I laughed. Q: "Waitt put him inna camera." I held up the phone over all 3 of us and Q said "Aww look at y'all." He started taking pictures and I said "Aye chill you doin too much na." Q: "Family portrait. Anywaysss. Yeen went to sleep?" Me: "I did earlier but I woke up around 3am and been up since." Q: "You need sleep miss gurl." Me: "I gotta watch Dayvon." Q: "Girl put dat nigga to sleep then you go to sleep." Von started messing with my hair and I smacked his hand and said "If I make him go back to sleep, he just gon be up all night. Ion need dat." Q: "Bitch you gon pass out." Me: "Imma be ight." Momma came in my room and said "Lai I- Hiii baby" She picked Dayvon up and started kissing his cheek then she said "When did dis fat man get up huh? Gramma gon take you out wit ha today." Me: "Where?" Mom: "I'm jus gon run some errands. Where his car seat at?" Me: "Somewhere downstairs... Imma go to sleep if you take him." Mom: "Okay. Gramma gon find you some baby food na." Me: "He ain't old enough for dat." Mom: "He bout 4 months ain't he?" Me: "Yeah?" Mom: "Mhm. He ready." Me: "Whatt? He growing up so quick." Mom: "Dats what happens when you have kids. How you think I feel. Gramma gon get tinka all da goodies today." She carried him out and Q said "Who was dat?" Me: "My mom." Q: "Ohh.
