Narration
Today's the closing ceremony for the annual sports competition among the top four universities in their city, and Kim Jisoo was very happy while holding a trophy.
Yes, they won, and yes, they were the cheerleading champion. Each of the squad members were so hype, feeling overwhelmed with the fact that they just won, with less time of preparation, not to add that they faced a lot of struggles—and oh, when I say struggles, Kiana Jung's included.
The squad was planning for a celebration. In fact, they weren't listening to the speaker infront who was now calling the winners in swimming competition. They were too focused on discussing the kind of celebration that they'll do.
"Why don't we just settle in one house, let's bring drinks and foods and party all night!", Bambam suggested, and Lisa immediately scoffed.
"Seriously Bam? Dude, you're boring", she spat.
"Excuse me? What's boring in that? Dude, I said 'party all night', just incase you didn't heard it right".
Lisa rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, and you also said 'settle in one house', so yeah, that's boooooooring", she said.
Before Bambam could fired back and before the two start an endless bickering, Seulgi immediately stopped them.
"Okay kiddos, quit the bickering please. If Lisa's not in a relationship with Jungkook, I might assume you guys were meant for each other. With your love and hate relationship haha", she said to which Nayeon immediately agreed on.
"Oh yes! The more you hate, the more you love!"
"I mean, you two would make a great couple, if ever", Seulgi added.
And the next thing they knew, both Lisa and Bambam were faking to vomit, they were acting as if they were puking.
"Eww, me and her?", Bambam uttered while pointing to him then to Lisa. "No way! I'd rather die single and virgin!"
"It's not as if I wanted to be in a relationship with you too. Like duh, you're the last person I imagined myself to be in a relationship with", Lisa said in 'duh' tone. "And besides, I already have Jungkook".
The two exchange sharp glares with each other, they were both narrowing their eyes and their arms were both crossed over their chests.
The members laughed at the sight of the two. Well then, CU's cheerleading squad's day wouldn't be completed if this two wouldn't bicker.
"Forget about this two, can we go back to our previous topic please", Rosé uttered feeling excited.
"Yes please! I wanted to hear the final plan before this awarding ends", Jennie added.
Then suddenly, Jackson spoke up.
"Why don't we go out for beach? Or in resorts? It's more fun, we'd be able to enjoy water activities!"
Silence...
And then after a moment of silence, the whole squad, except Jackson, clapped their hands.
The people around them thought that their claps were for Cha Eunwoo, the swimming champion who was called on the stage just exactly when they clapped their hands. But they were wrong, because just like what's mentioned earlier, they weren't listening on the awarding ceremony. And their claps weren't for Cha Eunwoo, it's for Jackson.
"Did I heard it right? Was it really you who said that?", Yugyeom asked, in an OA manner.
Jackson nodded being weirded by his friends.
"This is another thing to celebrate! For the first time, Jackson suggested something with sense! Oh my gosh! This is a miracle! Now I believe that miracle do exist! Thank you lord!", Bambam exclaimed and went to Jackson.
He placed both of his hands on Jackson's shoulder and began shaking him.
"Man, I'm so proud of you!", he said.
Jackson slapped his hands.
"Aish, you're overreacting", he told him while removing his hands from his shoulders. "And you guys also, you're all bunch of OA people".
"It's because you finally suggested something with sense! It's the first time bro!", Mark exclaimed.
"Yah! You're speaking as if I speak nonsense things all the time!"
"Oh you do. I mean, you always speak nonsense", Jennie said.
"What? Hey, that's ain't true!", he defend himself.
"Oh really? Then remember when we were tasked to perform before the football game during the intramurals? Jisoo asked if which among our costumes should we used and then you answered 'let's just not wear any costumes, it's more cool", Seulgi uttered.
"Yeah, and after that performance. When Irene asked where should we sit since the benches were already fully occupied, you said 'why not sit in the middle of the field. Atleast we'll have a great view of the game'." Momo added.
"Oh I also remembered when Mr. Lee asked us if where do we wanted to perform, the choices were the school gym and the open field. But there you are, suggesting that why not perform in the rooftop, 'for difference', you say", Wendy shrugged.
"And when we were deciding for the design of our costume, you suggested the color combinations as yellow and red because you said you were craving for Mc Fries and the crowd would love it if we appeared as 'walking french fries'. ", Tzuyu uttered.
"Hey! Atleast Rosé agreed to me in that one", Jackson said.
"Ofcourse she will. Rosé automatically agreed if it's something connected with food, even if it's a dumb idea", Jennie spat, Rosé could only pout.
"Even in not cheerleading related, you always speak nonsense. Just like when we're eating in the cafeteria and Mina asked if what dessert should we buy, then you say there's no need to buy one, you'll just poop on our plate and we just have to assume that it's a cake".
They all groaned after hearing Mark.
"Oh man, I still get goosebumps every time I remembered that. I mean, I choked on my cola after hearing that", Yugyeom uttered.
"And when---"
Bambam wasn't able to finish his words because Jackson stopped him immediately.
"Okay okay. Fine people of the earth. Y'all win", he said and raised both of his hands as if he surrendered.
The squad laughed together, seeing how cute he is while sulking.
"But seriously, I agreed on Jackson's suggestion about the beach thingy. That's a good idea since we haven't done it before", Jisoo said earning approval from the group.
"Yes, we always do indoor celebration, let's go out this time", Jennie said.
"So it's a deal then? We'll be going for an outing?"
They all nod to Joy.
"I know a good beach nearby, and I'll take care for the hotel reservation too", Mark volunteered.
"Thanks Marky! You're the best!", Rosé exclaimed giving him a thumbs up.
"When? And how many days?", Jihyo asked.
"This weekend? Let's go there on Friday night and we'll go home on Sunday night", Lisa answered her.
"That's a good idea! Im'ma prepare my swimsuit later!", Jennie exclaimed excitedly.
"Yes, me too! I'll make sure to wear my sexiest swimsuit. Who knows I'm going to meet my soulmate there", Tzuyu uttered.
"Why look for your soulmate? I'm already here you know...", Sana joked and Dahyun immediately disagreed.
"Excuse me? I'm her soulmate duh", she said.
"Wow, so you're competing over me? I guess I'm so pretty then", Tzuyu joked and flip her hair.
The three alongside with the other members laughed.
Their laughter were cut off when the crowd yelled loudly, and so they all looked infront. That's when they realized that it's already the football champion who was being announced now.
Jisoo unknowingly smiled, because she knew already who's the champion is.
She smiled when their university's football team was called. It's not a surprise though. Everyone already assumed that CU Football Team would be the champion 'again' this year. They've been the champion for the past three years though, ever since Taehyung and his friends played for the school.
And the game results of the football matches yesterday and earlier says it all, because CU's Football Team won in all their games. Their opponents didn't have even a single chance to beat them.
She looked at him, at Kim Taehyung, and she couldn't help but to feel proud seeing him holding their trophy while smiling widely.
He deserved it. She thought.
Then suddenly, he looked at her direction, and their eyes met. She stiffened for a moment when he smiled at her, but then, she gladly smiled back.
When the program ended, the squad were the last one to leave the place, because they were told by Mr. Lee to help cleaning the venue.
Bambam kept on complaining while picking up and collecting the garbages, saying he wasn't even part of the student council yet he's doing their tasks.
Lisa who was being annoyed with his endless complaints threatened him that she'll put him in the garbage bag and will throw him on a pit if he wouldn't shut up. So that made him zip his mouth, because he was so sure that Lisa would actually do her threats. She's a woman of her words, she always say that.
"Finally! It's done already!", Bambam exclaimed. "I really hate Mr. Lee, I mean why do we need to be the one to clean the venue, it's not like it's our tas---"
He immediately closed his mouth and acted as if he zipped it when he saw Lisa glaring at him.
Lisa raised an eyebrow at him. He chuckled nervously and ran towards Jackson who was now preparing to leave.
"I'll go now guys! Bye!"
"I'll go with Jackson", Bambam uttered.
"Me too", Yugyeom said.
"Me three", Mark added.
"Okay then, take care boys! Rest well! Bye!", Jisoo uttered.
"We're going now too Chu!", Tzuyu said, Sana and Dahyun were both clinging in her arms.
"Oh wow, they weren't still done competing over you?", Jisoo said while chuckling.
"Well, I'm really pretty that's why they were fighting over me", she joked.
The girls giggled then bid their goodbyes once again before walking away.
"Oh the boyfriends are here already, guessed we have to get going now!", Seulgi uttered and picked her bag.
"We'll be leaving now girls, bye!", Irene said happily and waved her hands.
"Bye guys! Take care! Congrats again to us!", Jennie said and waved her hands too.
That's leave only the four of them---
"What's up ladies!"
They all looked at the owner of the voice and saw Park Jimin together with his three friends.
"So that's what Seulgi meant when she said something about boyfriends being here", Jisoo mumbled only to herself. "But it's not like I have a boyfriend in any if them".
"Hey guys!", Lisa greeted. "Congrats on your win!"
"And same goes to your squad. Congrats too!", Jungkook said happily.
Jimin then walked towards Rosé with a very wide smile.
"Hi there pretty, I believe we have a date to attend to", he said and offered his arms.
Rosé giggled before linking her hands onto his arms.
"I believe so too", she said making Jimin to smile even more.
"Let's date too? We're both busy this past days and I missed hanging out with you, and ofcourse, I miss you as well", Jungkook told Lisa, the latter immediately nod.
"I miss you too", she said while blushing.
"Oh my, what's this? Am I really seeing Lalisa blushing?", Jennie teased her.
Yoongi, who was back hugging her chuckled.
"It's my first time hearing Jungkook saying sweet words too", he said and his girlfriend giggled.
"Yah!", Lisa and Jungkook said in unison, both of their cheeks were red.
Jisoo smiled at the sight of her friends together with the guys they like. She's happy for them, and she's very happy as well that they found the right guys for them.
"Jisoo..."
She froze, hearing that very familiar deep voice calling her name.
"Oops, I think that's our cue to leave", Rosé uttered.
"Triple date sounds good, let's go?", they all nodded to Jennie and just like that, the couples walked away while giggling after bidding goodbye to her and to Taehyung.
Speaking of....
She looked at him, and she felt her knees wobbled when their eyes met. The familiar butterflies on her stomach stroke again, and her heart beats so loud and fast.
She swallowed the lump on her throat.
"T-Taehyung", she stuttered.
For a moment, she felt like she just drowned by just looking in his eyes, his eyes who was speaking a thousand of words and emotions.
She felt like she was melting with the way he looked at her, with the way he stared at her.
He walked towards her, and she didn't step back. He then bit his lower lip, before opening his mouth.
"Let's talk"
