~Ruby's P.O.V~
The sun beamed through the glass windows and yet, my mind is clouded in grey. Anytime she saw a familiar shade of blue she immediately thought about Sal Fisher. The days of them flirting back and forth was a silly game they played. The laughs they shared echoed throughout her mind like a boomerang. Intimate kisses although they were along her face began to slowly burn in the back of her mind yet, not forgotten. Each moment they shared together felt precious to her but, she couldn't bear to hurt herself again.
However, no matter what she did, Sal found his way into her mind. Infected by his charm her face began to glow as red as her lips. No! stop it! Don't think about him! she yelled at herself slapping her cheeks causing more than just blood to flow
The sound of someone clearing their throat loudly stopped her from shenanigans. "Miss Rose, is everything alright?" Mrs.Bauble asked rubbing her pregnant belly with a stern expression
Rose shook her head laughing nervously causing the entire class to laugh. In embarrassment, Ruby threw her hands on the desk and her along with them. After class, she saw the handsome hair eyed devil himself waiting for her across the hall. Staring at him for a moment was all it took for her to book it. To her fear, she wasn't fast enough when she felt his big skinny hand on her wrist. Oh no she thought dread filled her bones
Without giving her time to turn around to meet those ocean pools, he whisked her away in a random classroom. Darkness eloped the two in complete silence. "What the hell do you think you're doing Sal Fisher?" she whispered angrily
"I could be asking you the same thing" he challenged
"What?" she asked in disbelief
Is he serious right now? I'm not the one who was being a jerk! she exclaimed herself crossing her arms over her chest "You're the one in the wrong here!" she reminded him
"I know. Trust me, I know." he ran his fingers through his hair surprised she's even talking to him at all
"You have 2 minutes to tell me why you dragged me in here or I'll scream" tightening up the grip over her chest
"I'm here to apologize," he started rubbing the back of his neck feeling his anxiety growing inside of him
"Obviously" she stated confidently waiting for him to continue
"I'm sorry for being an asshole. You didn't deserve that and you did warn me that it might hit home for me. It did but, that doesn't mean I should've treated you that way. I just..." he trailed off looking away from the chocolate eyed beauty before him
"What? you can tell me..." she finally uncrossed her arms
"like you..." he confessed blushing to stare into endless darkness
Ruby blushed hearing his confession of affection towards her. I lit a flame in my heart unlike any other before. "Really?" she whispered shyly
"Of course." he quickly replied taking her small delicate soft hands into his own "Of course," he repeated in a low whisper
It sent shivers down her spine when she felt his hands for the first time holding hers. The way his voice grew low made butterflies appear inside the pit of her belly. I can't see him and he still has this powerful effect on me. My body suddenly had a mind of its own and I gently squeezed his hand. "Do you feel how I feel?" he asked in a seductive whisper
Instead of answering him I slowly put my hands at the of his mask. My fingers gently grazing across soft flesh underneath. Feeling Sal flench against the gentle touch I pause. I can hear his breathing change in the silent room. Sal took his time and I was patient when he finally made his move. His hand met my own pushing them down on his chest while his other hand slowly pushed up his mask exposing the lower half of his face.
Thump-thump, Thump-thump, thump-thump was the song his heart played as I continued to wait for him to take the lead. My cheeks are practically on fire and I can only imagine how pink they are from my hand vibrating against his heartbeat. Sal must've noticed my change in attitude because I heard a slight chuckle escape his lips. "I'll take that as a yes then" he concluded imagining a smirk playing on those smug lips
Gently taking her hand back into his, he guided her towards one of his scars and allowed her to explore. "Don't scream. If you get scared just tell me." he closed his eyes trying to relax but he's beyond terrified. No one has ever touched his face let alone be this close to him.
Ruby began to quietly explore his surface and what she felt made a low gasp escape from her luscious lips. Her hands continued to tour his flesh running past inches of scars. Deep scarring directly under his right eye and along his right cheek. Feeling the left side of his face, her fingers glided past something strange. A hole...? she thought suddenly feeling something hard yet wet. However, when she moved her fingers to the right she felt his lips. What is this? she thought continuing to poke at the hard wet mysterious surface. Sal gently moved her hands "Those are my teeth" he answered as if he read her mind which caused her to gasp "I told you, I was a monster." he sighed knowing this was a huge shot in the dark taking a step away from the crimson goddess
"No!" she screamed causing Sal to shush her and put his index finger over her lips
Ruby quickly moved his finger off of her lips "You're not a monster." she whispered taking a step toward him "And if you're a monster then so is every other loser who calls you and your friends freaks." she took another step forward getting closer to him
"Don't be stupid. You're practically a damn goddess flirting and teasing me as if I had a chance" he exclaimed knowing their entire "relationship" is a recipe waiting for disaster
"You're just as good as any other guy that has tried to court me!" she screamed back
"And what makes me so damn special huh? I'm not some hot jock!" he huffed running his fingers through his hair in frustration that they're fighting all over again
"No, and thank god you're not! You're some hot blue-haired guitarist who has his own story to tell! You're some freak that caught my attention because I saw something more in you! You're!" her rant was cut off when he roughly pulled her into her sealing the space between them
The kiss was heated and yet passionate. Their hands uncontrollably feeling on one another hungry for more. A room that once felt like a prison full of awkward tension was now filled with what they thought a slice of heaven felt like. Hands that were once exploring each other's clothed bodies were now tangled in each other's hair. Low moans and sighs can be heard echoing in the darkness of the room. Ruby felt as though she were truly drowning in his hair, drenched with a new-found knowledge of his feelings were calming. Meanwhile, Sal felt as though he were drenched with oil. The longer this went on, the more his body started to catch on fire. Sal cursed under his breath when they finally pulled away for oxygen to fill their lungs.
Silence filled the room once more as they caught their breath looking away from each other. Flustered from their make-out session they began quietly laughing under the circumstances. "You're one hell of a kisser Sal," she murmured feeling her lips with the tip of her fingers
Sal smirked feeling his blush glow brighter "You're one to talk cherry" he teased now knowing the taste of her lips
Strawberry my ass he rolled his eyes at Travis's claim. Although, he did kiss her about a few weeks ago. Sal thought to himself then it hit like a truck coming down a freeway going 90 miles. She's still with him he groaned out loud
"What's wrong?" she asked innocently looking over at the dark silhouette in front of her
"Aren't you and Travis a thing?" he questioned
"No. I don't think so..." she replied poking her index fingers together
Sal could only sigh "This is a huge mess I've gotten myself into"
"I'm sorry Sally" she murmured feeling guilty
"I'll tell Travis to take a hike." she offered immediately
"Are you crazy? That will make everything ten times worse. No" he shook his head disapprovingly
"Then what should I do? I would rather be with you," she admitted grabbing his hand
"You can't be seen with me. If you're seen with me then everyone other than Travis will have an issue with it. You're a goddess, remember." he informed ruby knowingly
It was Ruby's turn to groan and curse herself for having a weird effect on the opposite sex. Sal immediately came to the rescue and told her not to stress about it too much. "You can't just make-out with someone you just confessed your feelings to and not stress over it, Sal." she puffed her cheeks cutely
Sally burst into a fit of laughter finally pulling out his cell phone from his back pocket. Scrolling through it he turned on his flashlight feature and turned it upside down on a nearby desk so he could see her. "Wow" she gasps in amazement gently touching his cheeks once more smiling at him "You're very handsome," she whispered
Hearing such a compliment caused his face to become cherry red as her lips paralyzing him. "U-uh..." he murmured looking away from those enticing chocolate eyes
A sweet giggle oozed out of her lips and a smile tattooed on her face as she continued admiring him. "Please don't ever say you're a monster. You are so much more than that." she complimented
"Stop saying stuff like that before I-" he paused running his fingers through his hair again desiring a smoke
"Before you what? Lock me in a dark room with you?" she joked
"I'll do worse" he admitted feeling his blush grow a darker shade of red if it were even possible
As Ruby finally understood what he was insinuating a blush slowly crept onto her cheeks. "Sally!!" She shrieked repeating to punch his arm
"Ow." He faked the agony of her beatings chuckling
"I'm kidding, besides we have to figure out a temporary solution to our little problem," he said stopping their childish banter
Ruby's shoulders slumped remembering the issue at hand. She's supposedly still considered Travis's girlfriend although she desires to be with Sal.
"Hey don't worry about it too much. Besides I don't want to make you anymore upset than I already have." He shrugs grabbing a seat beside him pulling his girl into his lap
"Sal.." She murmured
He shushed her "I know. Don't worry I'll think of something for the both of us." He concluded laying his head on the back of her spine while holding her
Although a new relationship between the two teens began to bubble and take form there's a dark force coming to rip them apart.
