"Hello, favourite peoples," Jay greets Adi and me when he finally came in the class.
I grin up at him, which shows my 32 very perfectly and mutter a 'hey'. While, Adi gives a 'hello' without looking up from his homework which he had forgotten to do.
"Never knew we are your favourite people," we hear Kunal's voice from behind us.
I look behind to see Dhruv nodding along with him. They both give me a teasing smile making me roll my eyes. I know what they are going to say now.
"Kia, see his favourite peoples are us two, how sweet na?" Dhruv imitates in a girls voice, making faces in between.
"Are you sure?" I ask, raising my eyebrows.
"Ohh, we have a bold girl here. Have you eaten something different today? Or is it just because you are getting influenced by Jay and Adi?" Dhruv says, pulling my pony.
"I love this version tho," Kunal winks at me, making Jay scowl at him.
"Shut up and do your homework, idiots. I will tell Myra to say to Mr Hitler to check books today if you continue this," Jay snaps at him and sits beside me.
"Anyways, you are here after so many days," Dhruv says, pulling my pony once again. I scowl at him and pull my hair away from him.
"You are saying as if you have not spent time with me just one day before," I say moving ahead.
"Phir bhi," Kunal says. (Then also)
I wave my hand nonchalantly at them and look at Jay who is looking ahead.
"New guy?" Jay asks, looking at Rudra who is talking to Tushar.
"Oh, he is Rudra, remember Avni's friend," I say, and he nods.
"Oh," he nods.
"Yaar Kia, show me how to solve this sum," Adi smacks me on the head lightly making me frown at him. A lot for asking help.
After a while, when the sum is finally solved, we three talk about nothing and everything as the teacher is late today.
"Hey guys, can I sit with you both? There are no seats available in the front," we hear Rudra asks Kunal and Dhruv who of course had let Rudra sit with them.
"Hello, Kia and the guy from before," we once again hear Rudra making us turn towards him.
"Hello, and 'the guy from before's name is Aditya," I smile at him, extra sweetly if may I add. He seems rude to me now.
"Oh, hello Aditya," Rudra rubs the back of his head and smiles. He looks at Jay and asks, "And you are?"
"Jay," he smiles at Rudra who in return nods, "I am Rudra, and I have heard from Avni about you."
"Oh," Jay mutters.
"Hey, Avni," Rudra shouts as Avni and Misha settles ahead.
"Oh, I see you have settled here very comfortably," she says.
"Yes, your friends are very amazing," he looks at us for a second while saying.
"Oh, I am sure about that," she says and looks ahead as Mr Hitler enters.
Surprisingly, he is in a happy mood, so, he only taught us for half lecture.
Jay looks at me sweetly and whispers, "You know you look more beautiful day by day."
I blush and smile which of course would have come out as shy.
Adi scoffs and mutters, "maybe puberty is hitting her now."
I roll my eyes at him, and he says, "I am off to sleep. Yesterday, I had watched the whole series, and now I am having its side effects. Good night."
I feel Jay take my hand below the desk and rubs it.
I had missed this. Holding hands secretly in class is unique and wonderful in its self.
He put the textbook of economic in front of us so it would look like we are studying. But in reality, we are just whisper-talking and feeling shy because we are holding hands.
"Did anyone took your attendance?" Mr Hitler asks as one of the helpers comes with the attendance book or whatever they call it. Every day, our class teacher Sneha Ma'am takes it, but I think she didn't come today.
"No, sir," he nods and starts taking attendance.
"Kiu, I wanted to ask you something," Jay says, making me look at him.
"Huh," I nod, looking at Mr Hitler, who is taking the attendance.
"4?" Mr Hitler continues. I shake Adi to wake him up.
"I wanted to ask that will you come out with me today?" he asks nervously.
"As in you know," he nudges me while I look at him with wide eyes. Is he asking me on a date?
"And I promise, we will not go out of our area," he says, making me smile. He is so understanding.
"7?" Mr Hitler asks, making me snap into action as my roll number come.
"Yes... sir," I say, looking at Jay giving my answer to both.
He gives me his most amazing smile and squeezes my hand, which is in his.
He was about to say something when Rudra calls me making me groan inwardly.
"Yes?" I ask Rudra without leaving my hand away from Jay so Jay won't feel bad.
"Can you come to my home today at 3? Avni and Misha are coming. They have also told your other two friends. And they both will also come," he points at Dhruv and Kunal and then continues, "And tell both of them too." He points at Jay and Adi.
"I have to check that I am free today or not so I don't know, but I will inform Avni or Misha afterwards about that," I shrug remembering that I am going out with Jay today, and he nods, smiling at me.
I move ahead and inform both Adi and Jay about it.
"What do you say, Jay?" Adi asks.
"Let's go if everyone is going," he says, shrugging.
He comes close to me, not much that anyone would think something else and not too far that anyone can hear our convo.
"And we will go out at five," he whispers, making my heart thump in my chest.
And at this moment I know that he is no more a crush.
I like him a lot.
