Eliey’s p.o.v
We settled inside my torn down house in the hall after Keith was tied in chains and put in a car, that would take him to a place where all Deams that misused their power were put in.
“I’m sorry Miss Colby” the woman spoke. She looked old, around 50 maybe. She had introduced herself as the current queen to the coven, her name was Adel.
We sat there for hours, talking about how the covens system worked and how my mother got her position in the coven. She said it was more about courage than hereditary. She told me how I possessed a great power like my mother did and that I was next to be queen in the line.
After the talks with Adel, I was introduced to the rest of the 20 coven members, all of a different age. They told me stories of my mother and my father, how she was made queen, how Tenace’s father had to track down my mother so he could train her and show her where her future lied.
It was a long day. Stories went on all day. Some were impossible to believe.
“Scott is a smart man, he asked his sister Jess to call us at 6, if we knew he wanted to give you a shot at a fight we would have come earlier, we wouldn’t risk you both being in danger but well, we were proved wrong. You are as powerful as your mother” Adel praised me.
“I didn’t want Eliey to feel less of herself. I wanted her to know who she was, I wanted to give her a real shot of her abilities” Scott answered to Adel’s talks.
“I didn’t get one thing” I looked at Scott, “You said the champagne was the drug, well whoever drank it, it worked on them but you had a sip of it yourself, didn’t your brain freeze?” I asked him.
“I took a sip, because I knew Keith would use my weakness against you, he knew me well, so I took a sip hoping my brain would freeze a little so I couldn’t use my entire power on you but it didn’t work, this power is like a drug to me, stuck , undefeatable” Scott said, looking away in disgust.
“It’s alright young man, you have a great control. You are nothing like your father, you ought to be proud of yourself!” Adel told him and the rest of the coven agreed.
“I’m glad it’s all over. Although it hurts to know, my aunt and uncle would be hurt more than before” I said feeling really low.
“Actually quite the opposite, after your uncle and aunt and your friends Hop and Dia were recovered from Scott’s house where Jess had kept them safe, we explained them the entire situation and today they no longer have the sadness of having lost Keith in their lives, they finally have the happiness of gaining a woman who can protect them and love them for the rest of their lives” Adel told me.
“It all makes sense now. Then also would you explain your plan clearly to me now” I looked at Scott pleadingly.
“The formulae I had created would work only once it would strike 12. Once it was 12 I went down the stairs, took your aunts, uncles, Dia’s and Hop’s body out of the house and into the jeep, where Jess was in the driver’s seat. She would safely transport them to my house, where Keith would have not been aware of and would be unable to access their brain. I asked Jess to ask the coven to come meet us at 6 am at your house, telling them they would need to come and witness the wrong happening to you and your family right now, and so it happened. This was my plan” Scott smiled, wincing at Jess who was tying a white band around his injured head.
“Smart isn’t it?” Adel laughed and everybody agreed.
It had turned almost evening, with all the cleaning up and everything. Once all the risky situations were cleared, we had called James parents up and told them the tragedy that had taken place among us. The coven came along and helped explain everything. Sitting at Saint Carls Hospital, we held each other’s hands and grieved the loss we had experienced. It was unacceptable to me.
A Few Days Later.
June 24th 2012
“We have come to mourn the loss of James John Still. A young brave man, who battled with great hopes in his life. A hero, a son, a friend and a loved one. He was a man one could look up too, a man who did not fear, a man who everybody is proud of. May the good lord, take him in his arms and bless his soul for all eternity. His courage shall never be forgotten. Amen” The priest prayed for James soul and we wiped away every last tear we had to say our goodbye.
His body rested peacefully in his coffin and it was lowered down after the ceremony got over. A grave was put up, in an open meadow on a hill, mentioning the day he was born till the day he died.
The funeral was on a hill top graveyard, a beautiful place where flowers bloomed all around, near our home in California.
I stood away in the corner watching his parents cry, like they had never before, they lost their only son and it was heart aching watching them crumble to pieces without him.
“They will be alright” Scott spoke, slipping his hands in mine as he watched along with me.
“How?” I asked feeling tears well up in my eyes and feeling completely responsible for it all.
“Like we got over the death our parents. They will get over the death of their son. That’s how it works, the circle of life, you move on”
Scott’s words were true and maybe effective for another day, but today it was about James and we would mourn, we would miss him and feel his absence for the rest of our lives.
After the ceremony was over we went back to Scott’s house, that was decorated with flowers and kept in a better condition for the guests to sit at. Jess and Scott equally felt responsible for James death along with me, so that is why Scott and Jess decided to keep the rest of the mourning ceremony at their home.
Max was awfully quiet, he was a smart dog, he understood the situation.
Eve dropped in on us and no one realised the entire day had passed since the burial that had taken place in the morning.
People were leaving and retreating to their homes and finally as the night crept in only the coven and my close family stayed behind.
Exhausted that came with the terrible day I sat in the front porch, alone, curling up on my chair and watched the stars that lit up the sky.
“Care for a walk?” Scott asked me finally walking out to the front and looking at me with loving eyes.
“Yes please” I whispered and put my hands in his as we walked through the barren fields walking towards a small hill that was near his house.
It was a beautiful sight. It had an orange tree that stood so strong and high, with the big moon shining brightly in front of it.
“It looks like I can almost touch the moon” I laughed once we had reached the hill and stared down at the sleepy town below.
“I’m sorry for everything” Scott whispered looking down at me, feeling responsible for everything that had happened.
“I’m sorry too, for whatever that happened, but let’s not live in the past. The past is what’s done and shall never come back isn’t that’s why they call it the past?” I told him smiling after what seemed like decades and Scott’s eyes lit up too.
He scooped me in his arms and hugged me tight, pushing my chin up with his finger and touching his lips softly over mine.
“Excuse me?” We heard Adel’s voice from behind and immediately let go of each other.
“The coven had a talk this afternoon and we came to the conclusion about one thing” she said.
“We have decided, you are ready to be our queen, you have beautiful powers that can be developed and you could protect our kingdom very well” she said crossing her hands and smiling at me.
I looked thoughtfully into Scott’s eyes that were smiling down at me, like he trusted the decision that I would take and then looked at Adel.
“Adel if I may say, I don’t want to be Queen. I saw what happened to my mother and I don’t want that to happening to us or to our future to our child.” I said calmly.
Scott raised an eyebrow at the word ‘our child’ but I ignored him, not wanting to burst out in laughter.
“I am proud of my powers and I will follow the rules the coven asks us too but I will not be Queen.”
“Very well, we respect the decision you have taken and wish you a very happy life together” she smiled waving us a goodbye and leaving.
“Our babies huh?” Scott teased me and I punched his chest hard.
“Shut up, don’t make me change my mind about dreaming about marrying you” I rolled my eyes and giggle at the words I said.
“Well you know, if you do plan on marrying, you shall not be spared on minute of the teasing I shall give you for the rest of your life!” Scott warned and picked me up in his arms and twirled me around making me laugh like a maniac.
“You’re crazy Scott put me down!!” I shouted laughing as he tickled me and played around, eventually leading both of us to fall down over each other.
“I love you Eliey Colby!” Scott smiled, holding me close to his chest and kissing my cheeks.
“And I love you Scott whose sir-name I don’t know” I grinned and he shut my mouth and kissed my lips making it feel finally like I was living a fairytale happy ending.

i wrote this chapter directly after the one before. i had to complete it, but i wanted it to be a different chapter. So yea this has ended and it been so so so amazing, I cant believe i wrote the squeal and ppl liked it! anyways i shall write an authors note to the reader in an hr since im cooking and my moms screaming so sorry wait for an hr for the authors note, its contains the breif of my new up coming boook weee :P
