*The appointment has been done and the results was mailed to the store that makes everything. Lai's family is up in Chicago for the party and it's 1 day until the party starts. Von's birthday is gonna be on the day of the gender reveal party too*
I got up and went in Mani's room then I said "So what's goin on wit everything?" Mani: "We gon need to set some stuff up today and finish tomorrow. Imma get Nique, Durk and some of they family to help. You not gon be movin anything." Me: "What? Why not? I can help." Mani: "You preggent." I rolled my eyes and she said "Did you tell Von about the party?" Me: "Not yet.. Imma tell him it's tomorrow then I gotta get him some stuff for his birthday." Mani: "Good." Nique came in her room and his eyes was red and low then he said "Nigga... I just realized if Lai's pregnant, dat means she been gettin dat meat" Mani: "Go sit down somewhere" Nique looked at me and started laughing then he said "You nasty." I shook my head and Mani said "Go get Von up then we can go to y'all's house and get some stuff set up." I went in my room and started shaking Von to wake him up. He stretched and stared at me then he said "Wassup ma." Me: "Wake uppp" Von: "I'm up bruh." Me: "Guess what." Von: "What?" Me: "We get to find out the gender tomorrow" Von: "Fr? On my birthday??" Me: "Mhm." He sat up and gave me a hug that squeezed the life outta me. Von: "Damn shawty you got me all excited and shit. A nigga gon be cheesin all day" Me: "We gotta go to the house and set up some stuff. Mani gon be in charge I guess cus she don't want me doing anything" Von: "Ight." Mani came in and said "Y'all needa get ready cus we boutta leave" Von: "Gimme bout 5 minutes." She closed the door and Von got up and put a tank top on. He threw on some basketball shorts then put on some tennis shoes and picked up his slides. Von: "Carry dese fa me." Me: "Okay." We went in Mani's room and Nique was in there staring at the ceiling. Me: "Where Mani?" Nique: "Downstairs." Me: "Come on we boutta leave" He sat up and said "Nigga I'm tweakin" We walked downstairs and Mani was otp wit Durk. Mani: "Okay imma get them to show us. You almost there? Ight ight gimme a lil bit of time. Okay bye" She hung up and said "Yall needa show me where da house at." Me: "Ight Von can take us" We got in the car and went to the house Nique said "Damnnn dis you?" Me: "Yeah." Von: "It's empty onna inside" Nique: "Bet I wanna go see." I got out and unlocked the front door and cut some lights on. Mani: "Aww it's so nice in here." Nique: "It's so much room. What's upstairs." Me: "2 bedrooms and a bathroom." Mani: "Y'all got a nice lil back yard. Dis gon be perfect for the party." We heard a horn honking outside then she said "Ouu that's prolly Durk and allem." She walked outside and Nique said "Dis bitch think she da boss man 😂" A few minutes later Durk came in with Loc, Doodie, DaeDae and some more of Von's family. They had white plastic tables and some metal chairs. Durk: "Aye we got more chairs and stuff inna back of da truck" Mani: "Ight just put it all right here for now then we can set up everything." I pulled her to the side and said "I still gotta get Von some stuff for his birthday.." Mani: "Okay, just go and come back later." Me: "I need somebody to take me..." Mani: "Call Q and Maurice. They been talking bout hangin out for a minute." Me: "Okay..." Mani: "Be safe luv you" She gave me a hug then I went over to Von and nem and said "Aye imma go hang out wit Q for a lil bit. Imma be back in a cuppa hours" Von: "Ight ma be careful" I gave him a kiss and he pulled me back and kissed me even longer. Doodie: "We don't needa see how dat baby got here mane 🤣" Von: "Shut up" Loc: "Man I'm tryna find out da gender. Silk gon be a broke mf" Me: "Right 😭" I went outside and called Q and he picked up instantly. Q: "Heyyy" Me: "Hi can you come get me?" Q: "Fasho wya?" I sent him the location and he said "Ight imma be there in bout 20 minutes. Maurice gon be wimme too, is dat okay?" Me: "Yeah ion mind" Q: "Ight jus gimme a lil bit and we'll be down" I hung up and went back inside. Mani was telling everybody where to set up tables and chairs then she opened the sliding door that led into the backyard and said "Y'all bring some of them tables out and just sit em up against the wall." I sat down and Nique was in the kitchen munching on chips. Me: "Where you get dem at?" Nique: "Von threw em at me so I ate em." Me: "Gimme sum." Mani came over and said "Nique go help. I thought you was leaving." Me: "They otw" Nique: "What I gotta help for?" Mani: "Cus they need it. Yo ass don't needa be in here smackin on these damn chips anyways" She snatched the bag out his hands and he sucked his teeth and walked in the living room. Nique: "I'm da older sibling, I shouldn't be gettin talked to like dis. Respect yo elders Imani." Mani pointed at the door and he walked out. Mani: "Dat nigga irk my nerves." We went to the mall and they walked into Foot Locker with me to get Von's stuff. I bought him 3 pairs of shoes and a few outfits. I was in the line and the cashier said "Hm.. this can't be for you." Me: "What?" He started laughing and said "I'm just playin witchu." Q: "Yeah don't do dat" I paid for all the stuff and the cashier handed me the bags. Q took me to Walmart and I got some snacks and a bucket for him. Maurice: "Girl what da fuck." Me: "Imma fill dis bucket up wit all da food." Maurice: "Dat boy ain't gon eat allat, he's so lil" Q: "I seen sum dat wasn't lil.." I busted out laughing and Q said "I am traumatized." Maurice: "Hush and come on." I bought some tissue paper and candy to put in his bucket. Q: "You jus finna make a lil goody bucket?" Me: "Mhm. Got him dem shoes and clothes he been wanting too" I got the rest of the stuff I needed then he took me home. Me: "Y'all can come in" I opened the door and Momma was standing in the living room. Mom: "Who is this?" Me: "Some of my friends from work. Q and Maurice" Mom: "Ohh. Well hey" Maurice: "Hey gurll" Mom: "What's allat stuff you got?" Me: "Stuff for Von's birthday." Mom: "When's his birthday??" Me: "Tomorrow" Mom: "Why didn't you tell me? Imma have to go buy him something" Me: "Imma sit down here and wrap his stuff up." She walked in the kitchen and picked up the phone. I sat in the floor and started wrapping up all the shoe boxes then I stuffed tissue paper. I stuffed the candy, chips, drinks, and a couple of the shirts in there then Momma said "Imma add sum in there later. Go put it in my closet so he won't see it." I took everything upstairs and put it in her closet then I got Bug out his cage. I let him run around downstairs and Q said "Uhn uhn dat mf look weird" Me: "Leave him alone 😭" I put his leash on him and said "We can go back now." Maurice: "Bettt let's goooo"
We got back to the house around 3pm and I walked in and seen all the tables and chairs set up. I looked out back and seen Von sitting in a chair with no shirt on. He was wiping his forehead with a balled up shirt and pushing his dreads back. Me: "Why you so sweaty?" Von: "We been movin shit for 2 hours" I handed him a soda then I sat next to him. Me: "Where everybody go?" Von: "Back home to pick some mo stuff up." Q and Maurice sat down then Q said "Whatchu gon do on yo birthday Von?" Von: "I ain't gon be worried bout nun else til I find out what dat baby is" Maurice: "Period fren." Me: "How long ago did they leave?" Von: "Bout 45 minutes ago" We sat outside talking for a few more minutes then Mani came back in the house with a few bags of food. Me: "You ain't get me nun?" Mani: "You know I did piggy" Me: "And did you get-" Mani: "Yes I got the hot sauce Laiya" Me: "Preciate it boo" She handed me a to go box and a small bottle of hot sauce. Durk: "She really made us stop at a separate store jus to get dat damn hot sauce" Loc: "Yo ass betta use every drop" Mani had got extra food for everybody but Q said he didn't want it. I finished eating about 20 minutes later and I sat down with my hands on my stomach. I kept trying to get the baby to move as much as I could but it was being stubborn. Nique: "Keep messin wit it and it's gon come out wit an attitude 🤣" Doodie: "Damn her stomach got big asf just innat lil bit of time." Mani: "It was about 4 weeks." Von: "Can't wait til tomorrow mane" Durk: "We finna t-up fa yo birthday lil bruh" DaeDae: "Ong" Von: "We finna wait til after da party or sum nigga 😂"
Von took me back to his house because he said he needed to take a shower. Mani rode back with Durk and allem to Loc's house. I was sitting in his room and his mom walked in and said "Ou girl it's hot as hell in here. Lemme cut dis air on. I wanna make sure you comfortable. Where Von at?" Me: "He been inna shower for a lil bit" Yvette: "Oh okay. You hungry? Need anything?" Me: "No thank you. I preciate it doe" She walked out and I rolled on my side and scrolled through my timeline. Von walked in a few minutes later and sat on his bed. Von: "You good?" Me: "Yeah" He laid next to me and said "It's gon be a girl. I can feel it" Me: "Me too. I'm so excited tho" Von: "Sheit who you tellin? Ion even care what it is" He put his arm over my shoulder and kissed me. I rolled over and got on his chest and he said "Oh wassup den" I kissed his neck and he started rubbing my thighs. I got off of him and he sucked his teeth. Von: "You always do dat shit 😒" Me: "Yo birthday ain't til tomorrow luv 😂" Von: "Whatchu get me?" Me: "Don't worry bout it." Von: "Man... Can I know one thing?" Me: "Nope." Von: "If I can guess one is you gon lemme know?" Me: "Nope." He started guessing a bunch of stuff that he thought I got him but I just sat there in silence then I said "You done?" Von: "Mane fuck you fr" I started laughing then he rubbed my stomach. He lifted my shirt up and kissed it then he said "You needa hurry up" I rubbed his head and he just kept talking to the baby. I rolled over and went to sleep an hour later.

I sat up the next morning at 9:30am because the baby was moving all night. I looked over at Von and he was still sleeping so I got on him and said "Happy Birthdayyyyy!" I started kissing his face multiple times and he started laughing. Me: "Happy birthday baby daddy" Von: "Preciate it" He sat up and gave me a kiss then I rolled off of him and he hovered over me and kept kissing me. Durk walked in and said "I see y'all startin da celebration early 😂" He handed Von a card and a new playstation controller and Von said "I preciate it." Durk: "Happy birthday lil bro" His mom yelled from the bottom of the steps, "Is my baby up!? Whooo yall come on!" His whole family came upstairs in his room and started screaming and singing happy birthday and he was laughing the whole time. Ms. Yvette handed him a card with some money in it then his dad did too and she said "Happy birthday baby" Von: "Thank you Mama." He got up and gave them hugs then he hugged his siblings. Silk: "So whatchu gon do today?" Von: "I'm ready for dat party man." Me: "It don't start til 1pm 🤣" Silk: "For yall. We gotta be there at 11am" Von: "I'll go back to sleep jus so it can come faster" Yvette: "Uhnt uhn. Yeen finna be sleep all damn day" Me: "Exactly. Get dressed" Von: "Why?" I picked up some of his birthday money and threw it at him then I said "Take it off" He started laughing and said "I ain't no stripper mane 😂" Me: "You wouldn't wanna be my personal stripper? 😭" He stared at me then he buckled up his pants. I got up and tried to pick up the money but it was getting hard to bend over. Me: "Can you get dat" Von: "Imma start throwin shit inna floor na so you can't pick it up 🤣." Me: "I will whoop yo ass while you sleep." We went downstairs and he said "Imma be gone for a lil bit" Yvette: "Okay be safe!" We got in the car and he took me back to my house. Von: "Whatchu get me?" Me: "You gon see inna minute." I went in the house then Momma came downstairs and said "Heyyy! Happy birthday sweetheart." Von: "Preciate it" Mani came down after her and said "Happy birthday frennn." She gave him a hug then I said "Momma where's his present?" Mom: "Oh lemme go get it." Me: "Imma be back too" I went upstairs and grabbed all the boxes then I brought em downstairs. Von was diggin in his lil snack bucket and said "Damnnn" I seen a five $50 bills in there. Me: "Momma did you put dat in there??" Mom: "I did some and yo daddy did some" Von: "Damn she got all my favorite shit mane" He started laughing then I sat all the boxes in the floor. Von: "What's dat?" Me: "Open em" Von: "Why is it so many?" Me: "Just open em Von 😭" He tore into the wrapping and seen the shoe box then he said "Lai.. Me: "Open the other ones" He opened the other 2 and his reaction got better each time. He took us to a breakfast diner about 20 minutes away then we walked in. It was a bunch of old white people sitting in a booth that stared at us as soon as we walked in. We sat in a booth and a lady came and said "Your menus are right there and I'll be back inna lil bit to see what you want." I looked down at the menu and seen a lot of stuff. I didn't know what I wanted cus it didn't look good so I said "Whatchu finna get?" Von: "Dis shit look nasty" Me: "It do..." Von: "Fuck dis. Come on" We got up and left and he said "Waste of my time 🤣" Me: "It looked nasty 😭" Von: "Ion know where to go na" Me: "Ion care where we eat at. I'm hungry" Von: "Fat ass" Me: "Shut up" He took us somewhere else to eat then we went back to my house so he could get his shoes. There was a note on the counter when I walked in that said "Lai, we went to the house to set up everything for the party. I gotta go pick up the gender thing in about an hour. BE THERE AT 1PM!! -Mani" Von: "What's dat" Me: "They left to set some stuff up" He took it and skimmed over it then he said "She act like we ain't gon show up 😂" Me: "Exactly." I looked at the time and it was around 10:30am. Me: "We still got some time. Whatchu wanna do?" Von: "Nun. I'm done goin out until da party" We went upstairs and watched TV until I got a call from Mani around 11. Mani: "Everybody is starting to come in, y'all might be able to come early but I'll let you know. Y'all bet not be late" Me: "Why would we be late?" Mani: "Cus y'all could be gettin it in for his birthday and lose track of time" I put my hand on my forehead and said "I'm pregnant." Mani: "I'm aware of that. You can still have sex when you're pregnant Lai." Me: "What? Fr?" Mani: "You betta not. I want y'all here on time" Me: "Okay, okay. Just call me whenever you make up yo mind" Mani: "We waitin on they uncle and auntie then we gotta pick up a few more snacks. Ion know how long allat will take tho" Me: "Ight." She hung up and I looked at Von. He was sleep so I got up and got Bug out his cage. He was starting to get a lil bigger so I was gon stop putting him in there. I got up and went in the bathroom so I could take a shower. I was in the shower for 30 minutes thinking about the party. I was nervous but excited to find out what it was. Von started knocking on the bathroom door then I said "It's open" He walked in and handed me my phone. Von: "It's Mani" Me: "Hello?" Mani: "Okay we got everything set up and everybody's here. Y'all can come early." Me: "We need time to get ready" She groaned and said "Well hurry pleaseee we're waiting" Me: "Okay we'll hurry" I got out and wrapped my towel around me and Von said "Lookin all fine and shit" Me: "Lemme get ready den we can go to yo house and go to the party" I went in my room and put on a sundress that Mani picked out for me to wear then I put some sandals on and left my hair down. Me: "Damn this shit shows my whole bump" Von put his hands on my stomach and said "It look good ma" I gave him a kiss then I said "We gotta go to your house now." We got in the car and went to his house then upstairs in his room. I sat him down on the bed and looked in his closet. I picked out a white button up shirt with short sleeves. Von: "Uhnt uhn" Me: "Mhm." I threw it at him and he put it on over his tank top. I stood in front of him and pulled his dreads back into a ponytail then I pulled a few out in the front. I handed him his earring to put in and he stood up and said "Ight" Me: "Look at youuu. Aweee you look so good" Von: "Come on before Mani call and start yappin 🤣" We got to the party at 1pm and it was a bunch of people in the backyard. Gramma seen me and said "Aw you look so beautiful baby" She gave me a kiss on my cheek then I said "Where's Mani?" She pointed in to the table and I seen Mani putting some ice in a cooler. Me: "Heyy" Mani: "Aww hey. You look good innat. Where Von at?" Me: "Inna house wit Durk and nem" Mani: "Well since y'all here we can get ready to start. Go tell everybody in the house." I went in the house and said "Von, we bout to start... y'all come on" He got up and started smiling then we went outside. Everybody stood back and Mani put me and Von in the front. Silk: "Aye dat bet still stands!" Loc: "You gon be a broke mf." I seen Q and Maurice walk out with Kim and Myra then I said "Heyy y'all." They gave me a hug and said "Did y'all do it?" Me: "No we bout to... I'm scared" Von: "Aye let's go I'm tryna do dis" Mani handed me a ball that was a little heavy but I was scared to break it. Me: "Von you do it..." He took it and held it in his hands. He gave me a hug then he said "Ight... imma do it na" I seen a few people recording with their phones and Mani said "3,2,1.... Do it!" Von threw the ball on the ground and a bunch of blue smoke came out of it. Everybody started screaming and Von said "LET'S GOOOO!" He was jumping around and hugging a bunch of people then he ran over to me and picked me up. He gave me a kiss and I put my face in his neck. Silk: "Aye nigga y'all betta gimme my fuckin money!!" Von: "I'm finna have a fuckin son bruh!" Mani: "Awww." Me: "Get it from Von he got it" He went over to Von then he pulled out a wad of money and started counting. Silk: "Dats $250. Everybody stayed at the party until around 10:30pm then they started leaving. Our parents went home first then Gramma and Auntie Shirley went back to the hotel. I stayed back with Mani, Durk, Nique and Loc. Doodie and DaeDae left to take a few people home but they was supposed to be back quick. Von had been smiling all day and I was happy to see that he was so excited about our son. I was sitting in a chair watching Mani and Durk clean up. Q: "I'm so mad bruh. I was hoping it was a girl." Maurice: "Rightt 😭. Y'all sure issa boy? Sometimes the baby can be sitting in a weird way and it'll look like sum it's not" Mani handed them another ultrasound picture and said "Bow. Dassa dick" I took it from her and said "Aww where did you get this?" Mani: "It came with the results. They gave it back with the ball and just told me not to look" Durk: "Aye Silk made bank tonight doe 🤣" Me: "Fr" Nique sat next to me then said "Do it move?" Me: "Y'all makin him mad or something" Kim: "Aww I feel him in thereee" Mani: "I can't wait to go shopping for him." Von: "Imma get him so much shit" Nique: "We jus gon ignore her sittin on my lap?" Mani: "You da one letting her sit there" Kim stood up and Nique said "Naw shawty yeen gotta get up." Kim: "You talk so country. Where you from?" Nique: "We from Atlanta" Q: "I'm from Savannah." I went upstairs and sat in the floor of the bathroom. Von came in 10 minutes later and said "You good?" Me: "Yeah I felt sick but nothing came up." I went and sat in the baby's room and Von came in there with me. We was laid back in the floor talking about the baby and everything we was gon do for it. Von was laying on his back and I was sitting in the floor with my back against the wall. Me: "I can't wait til he gets here" Von: "When he posed to come out?" Me: "Some time in December." Von: "Damn dats a long way" Me: "I can't believe issa boy" Von: "Me too. I wanted it to be a boy but I felt like it was gon be a girl" Me: "He gon be mean, I know it" Von: "You been havin lil attitudes too 😂" He tapped my chin and I moved my head. We sat upstairs talking for about an hour then Mani came upstairs and said "What y'all doin? Y'all been up here forever" Me: "Talkin" Mani: "Well we boutta head out. Ion know what yall wanna do but yeah" Von: "Imma prolly take Lai home" Mani: "Ight. Imma be at Loc house. Oh Lai, yo parents at da hotel wit Gramma and Mama" Me: "Ight" Von got up and helped me up then we walked downstairs. Von: "When we gon move everything in here?" Me: "Ion know... First thing we gon order is a bed so we can actually stay here. Then a couch and everything else" He took me back to my house within an hour then we went upstairs and in my room. I kicked off my sandals and took off the dress then I looked for something else to wear. Von came up behind me and started rubbing on my back and waist. Von: "Aye I'm finna take a shower" Me: "Lemme go witchu" He started laughing and took his shirt off. Me: "What?" Von: "Go on somewhere. You play too much" He took some of his clothes out of my dresser and I said "You think I'm playin? Come on" He walked in the bathroom and I followed him in there. Von: "Nigga 🤣" Me: "Any other time you wanna take a shower together. Come onnnn" Von: "You needa put yo clothes on before yo parents come home." Me: "Ohh dats whatchu worried bout? Ight hollon." I went in Momma's room and grabbed the bathroom key then I brought it in the bathroom and locked the door. Von: "Nigga what is you doin?" Me: "It's locked from the outside." Von: "You playin too many games 😂" I sat on the sink and pulled him closer to me by his belt then I kissed on his neck. He sucked his teeth and said "Man ight" We stepped in the shower and he said "You weird" Me: "You da one that said you wanted to. I'm tryna make sure you happy fa yo birthday baee" I started rubbing his chest with soap and he said "If I fall imma kick yo ass" Me: "What?" He leaned in and started kissing me then I leaned up against the wall and he put his hands on my waist and picked me up. He put it in and was going slow then I was grabbing the skin on his back. Von: "Damn ma" He started kissing me then he went a little faster. I put my head on the wall and wrapped my arms around his neck. We was in the shower for about an hour then we got out. We went straight in my room without even drying off then we kept going. He slammed my door and locked it then got back on me. He didn't let me lay on my stomach cus of the baby but he also told me he wanted to see my face. He was pushing my legs back as far as he could and strokin deep.
We finished at around 2am then he wiped himself off and said "Where yo parents at?" I was still laid back on my bed staring at the ceiling then he said "Aye" Me: "Hm?" Von: "Why ain't yo parents back?" Me: "Ion know. Call em" I pointed to my phone on the table and he picked it up then we heard the door open downstairs. I threw my robe on and walked out my room. I seen Momma throw her shoes in the floor and start walking up the steps. Me: "Why y'all take so long?" Momma: "First we got lost otw there then we stayed for a lil bit and ya daddy ain't know how to come back" Daddy came in after her and said "Oh hush. We back home na ain't we? Shit." Momma: "You hush. I'm grown as hell don't be talkin to me like dat." Her and Daddy started talking over each other and getting a little louder so I went back in my room. Von was sitting on the side of my bed with no shirt on then he said "Wassup wit dem?" Me: "They havin they usual lil arguements when they get tired. They gon be asleep in about 10 minutes" Von: "What about Mani?" Me: "Out wit Durk still." I sat behind him and put my chin on his shoulder and rubbed his chest. Von: "You nasty." Me: "All. Fa. Youu" I kissed his face and he started laughing. Bug was layin out in the floor so I threw his blanket over him and laid back on the bed. Von got next to me and put his arm across my stomach. I rubbed his head and played in his dreads until he went to sleep. I cut my light off then I rolled over and went to sleep.
