"Let's get something to eat!" Sangmi started jumping around leaving the platform that led to the roller coaster they were currently leaving from.
All of them were slightly dizzy as they took small steps down the stairs.
Gently smiling, Eunji nodded.
Yes, she was shaking and yes, she thought she was going to die in those 45 seconds of hell his but on the other hand Eunji never felt this free before. It was exactly how she imagined being a bird and she had enjoyed every second of it.
Jealousy and negativity had left Eunji's mind long ago and she felt content and satisfied, almost forgetting completely about the awful events that happened the past days.
"Eunji." Jungwon's serious voice made her turn around.
"What's wrong?"
"What was that about?" He spoke clearly, frowning deeply as he was still worried.
He couldn't believe it.
Why didn't she tell him beforehand that she actually was the one being scared of heights?
Eunji just giggled once again, feeling almost drunk of happiness. She gently reached her hand towards his face, wandering over his forehead with a smile. "You should stop scowling so much or else you will end up looking all old and grumpy." She joked, this time it was more of a laughter than a giggle.
She felt so warm inside, knowing that Jungwon was worried.
The boy on the other hand was speechless and just looked at her with wide eyes. His frown gone long ago.
"Eun-"
"We should hurry up." She turned around, the smile not once leaving her face, "The others are almost at the restaurant. The last one to arrive needs to buy the other chocolate."
"Running is the last thing you should do now." He stopped her actions by grabbing her wrist, "Let's take our time. It's not like they will be lonely or anything."
"Alright." Eunji nodded at him, this time her smile even brighter, knowing that she was going to have some time alone with Jungwon.
"Guys let's order!" Sangmi happily spoke, after the two had finally arrived at the restaurant.
It was rather small, but had a big variety of desserts, so they decided to eat here.
"I will take a piece of the blueberry cake." Eunji spoke quietly, as she shuffled around her seat uncomfortablely.
Who would knew that her happiness wouldn't last long, because right now she sat next to Dongsoo, while Jungwon was next to Sangmi.
"How about we share? What do you think, Eunji?" Dongsoo smirked and laughed it off, acting like it was a joke, but Eunji could see in his eyes that he was serious. Dead serious.
"I-it's alright." Eunji laughed too, looking away and peeking at Jungwon, just to see him peacefully looking through the menu with Sangmi.
"Guys, I will take the blueberry cake too." Dongsoo spoke out, almost proudly, as Jungwon eyed him suspiciously.
"I will go take mine and Eunji's order first." Sangmi's boyfriend continued and stood up, making Eunji look down.
There was a short silence, before Sangmi decided to break it.
"So, since when are you guys going out?" Sangmi then asked, the moment the boy left, making Jungwon's eyes widen.
"We-"
"We are not going out." Eunji interrupted Jungwon hurriedly, her voice being almost too calm, as she took a sip from her water, feeling more uncomfortable each minute passed.
Warmth shot up Sangmi's face, before she covered up her face in shame and apologised, "I'm sorry, I didn't know-"
"It's alright." Eunji smiled gently and nodded, looking away.
"It's not like it's your business either." Jungwon added harshly. Eunji saw him rolling his eyes, before he looked through the menu once again, while Sangmi directed her gaze to the ground.
Eunji on the other hand frowned and stayed quiet, unsure of how to react.
That's when Dongsoo returned from taking his order with a big grin on his face.
"Hurry up. Take your orders already." Dongsoo rolled his eyes at Jungwon and Sangmi, as he let himself drop onto his seat next to Eunji almost aggressively.
"Yep, we will be right back." Sangmi smiled at her boyfriend and stood up. Jungwon following her actions.
The two of them walked to the counter almost in slomotion, when Eunji let out a sigh unconsciously.
She didn't like the idea of being alone with Dongsoo at all.
"Don't you think they are way too close..?" The boy next to her snickered, leaning closer to Eunji.
"I don't know." Eunji answered him nonchalant, trying to ignore the small gap that was separating the two.
She felt more than uncomfortable.
"Look at them"
Eunji didn't know what got into her, but she listened to Dongsoo's words and turned her head to the front.
But she immediately regretted it and wish she didn't.
The sight of Sangmi trying to break Jungwon's cold walls by being affectionate and having her arm around him and Jungwon blushing as a result, was enough to snap her back to reality from her delusional self.
Sangmi let out a delightful laugh, while Jungwon scratched the nape of his neck in embarrassment.
It was obvious.
Jungwon was never going to get over Sangmi.
"How annoyi-"
"Please, shut the fuck up." Eunji snapped, balling both her fists and scooting away from Dongsoo, as she looked down.
"Why? Are you that jealous?" The boy scoffed, "Do you think I'm ehe villain in this? I'm a victim too! Your boyfriend is flirting with my girlfriend—"
Dongsoo took a big sip from his water glass, as he scoffed one more time.
"If you are not going to keep your boyfriend on the leash and let him continue going near my girlfriend, it won't be fun. For any of you..." The boy's hand went close to the girl's face as a mischievous smirk played his lips.
Slapping Dongsoo's hand away, it was now Eunji's turn to scoff, "I'd like to see you try—"
Eunji stopped abruptly, her throat drying out in a snap. She stood up, gasping quietly and fearing the worst already.
Her hands started to sweat.
She felt her whole body burning and her chest tightening way too familiarly.
The panic in her body started to increase as she looked around anxiously for an escape.
There was this feeling again.
The result of hanahaki.
"Where are you going, Eunji?" Dongsoo smirked at her, but she ignored it, "Your order hasn't arrived yet!"
The guy's loud voice agonised Eunji even more, as she dashed out of the building.
The girl didn't know where she was heading to, but she knew she had to leave.
Running out of the restaurant, Eunji started to walk hurriedly towards a small cottage standing offside, almost smiling at her welcomenly.
Her bag scratching agaknst her leg, while she lazily dragged it after her. She knew she needed a new bag after this.
The cottage was a bit far away from the amusement park, leading to a forest right behind it.
The perfect place to hide.
Eunji's mind was going crazy, she didn't know what to do.
She thought after all the times this had already happened to her, she should be prepared, but she isn't.
She never was.
Eunji never was prepared no matter how many times she threw up those petals.
"Please..Not now.." Eunji kneeled down, her hand tightly on her throat, as she shut her eyes closed like she always did.
Her knees scraped against the rocky ground, leaving small scratches on both her legs.
But her pleading was never heard, because the next moment she had to endure her misery all over again in the same repetitive pattern, which she grew sick of for so long now.
Right in that moment, when the flowers had already fallen to the ground, a voice startled her from behind.
Someone had watched her.
"Eunji..Are you here- Eunji?! What is all of this?"
