"Umm Julie, could I talk to you outside?" Luke says nudging me awake. After last night, we spent all night out here. we all just talked and laughed, I was just so so happy to have them back that i stayed. I was worried if I left that I would never see them again.
"Sure" I stand up and we walk outside. I close the door carefully behind me, hoping to not wake Alex and Reggie.
"What's up Luke?" I ask staring at the ground nervously.
"Jules, I can touch you, like really," he says grabbing my hand. "How?"
"I-i don't know" I stumble over my words. I look at his puppy dog eyes and smile. he returns it, a grin appears on his face.
"What are we?" he says catching me off guard.
"Well i mean umm-" i start, tripping over my words. what do i even say? oh i'm in love with you Luke Patterson. ugh
"Cause you could touch Alex and Reggie too, how is this possible?" oh right of course, he didn't mean me and him. That makes more sense.
"Right, right. I really have no idea." I say covering up. "Was that all?"
"Yeah, we should probably wake up the guys" he says and I nod. I start to walk away but he's still holding onto my hand and he isn't moving.
"Julie wait" he says shaking his head at himself.
"Okay,'' I walked back to him and he looked at me with his puppy dog eyes again.
" Did you really want us to join his club?" he ask tucking a piece of hair behind my ear.
"Of course not, but I couldn't just lose you, not like that.'' I say with a tear rolling down my face.
"I'm right here Julie" Luke says wiping the tears from my face and hugging me. he wraps his arms around my shoulder and i wrap mine around his waist.
"I know, I never wanna lose you guys," I say against his chest. He holds like that for a moment until we hear a thud come from the garage. The door falls open and Reggie falls down. He hops up.
"We definitely weren't listening to y'all" he says, stumbling, Luke goes and pulls open the door to Alex on the other side. Alex stumbles out and looks like a deer in the head lights.
"Hi guys'' he says with an awkward smile plastered on his face. My dad comes down the path and stares at me stopping in his tracks.
"Morning Julie, is this the band?"
"What?" i say staring at him then back at the boys.
"Umm julie, the 3 guys behind you sweetie" he says gesturing behind me.
"You can see them?" i say shocked
"Of course i can, it's not like they're ghost" my dad laughs adn shakes his head. He walks over to me.
"Right" I say , shallowing the lump in my throat.
"So?"
"Right, dad this is Luke, Alex, and Reggie"
"Nice to meet y'all" he says smiling and goes to shake their hands. I suck in a huge breath but he shakes each of their hands. What is happening?
"It's nice to meet you, Julie has told us all about you" Luke smiles at him
"Would y'all like to join us for breakfast?" my dad ask
"I could eat" Reggie says beaming. He's a fan of my dad, so this is probably a big deal to him.
"Great!" my dad chirps. he seems rather happy and i smile a little. its nice to see him in a good mood.
" well be in there in a moment dad" i say smiling, really beaming.
"Okay sweetie" my dad says and walks back up the path to our house. As soon as he's gone behind the gate, I turn back to the guys.
"How did he?" I say
"Maybe we're not ghosts," Alex says looking at us all with a serious look on his face.
