A.N: this is Leo's 2nd POV and its going to be a bit of each main event that happened from the chapters of the ball to the encounter with aurora in the kitchen.

at the ball
Leo's POV:
i was shooting the other mafia mercilessly. i didn't even have an ounce of guilt or regret.
they all deserved a painful death, even more painful than this. when you choose to step your boundaries with Leonidas Gambino, deal with the consequences.
i heard a high pitched scream. i didn't pay it any attention until i heard that voice.
"LET GO OF ME YOU ASSHOLE!"
Aurora.
i don't know what came up to me, but all i could think of was killing who thought they could harm her. I'm the only one who can fight her.
I'm doing this for Liam, i told myself
i tried moving past the sea of people fighting , but i couldn't. she was light enough for them to run with her. i saw how they hit her in the back of her head making her fall unconscious. at this point i couldn't see clearly.
who ever came in my way, saw Leonidas Gambino before they saw darkness.

12 hours later
"CHASE!" i yelled from my office
a minute later chase came barging in "WHAT? you don't have to yell asshole!"
"DONT TELL ME WHAT TO DO!" i stood up
"i don't care right now, i found auroras location, I'm going to go get her."
a part of me started planning some homicide, and the other part wanted to let her die. she was my dilemma.
"I'm coming with you, they messed with a member of MY mafia." he nodded
bipolar? maybe, maybe not.
in 10 minutes, a 100 soldiers where ready and armed with vehicles just to storm the mafia that chose to step over the line. they're called 'Bellatorem'. a small Sicily based gang. they were nothing compared to us. but somehow they took us by surprise and were able to capture many of our soldiers.
the payment is due now.

At Bellatorem Base
we ran over our entire plan. over and over till i made sure no one was gonna make a mistake.
No mercy.
No pity.
No hesitation.
once we reached an approximate 100ft radius from their base, we stepped out and planted explosives on their front gate and backed away. the bombs exploded the outside wall completely allowing us to enter and start our plan.
soldiers got down from the cars and started fighting and shooting members of the Bellatorem that were guarding the blown up main fence. at least who survived from them.
we got to the front gate of the main warehouse and the rest of my soldiers got out of the cars and started shooting and killing any person who tried stopping us.
i scoffed, what's the point of trying, when you've reached your end anyway?
Chase, Antonio, the rest of the guys and I headed inside after breaking down the door and immediately searched for aurora or any mafia members left. we couldn't stay for long since we got a huge signal from our radars indicating that there is outside intrusion. meaning they asked for backup from another gang. only a 100 men were tasked on this mission so we couldn't risk a fight.
i heard chase screaming.
"AURORA!"
i followed his shouts and was immediately saw red. my body was fueled on rage at this moment.
i saw a man choking Aurora while raising her on the ground.
i quickly punched the fucker in the face making him drop to the ground while chase quickly started helping his sister up from the ground and leaving the house. with all the rage in my body i threw punches and kicked the man with all the force in my body.
"BOSS THEYRE HALF A KILOMETER AWAY! we have to get out" i heard Xavier shout from across the room
i quickly caught up to them forgetting all about the other mafia's boss.
until i heard aurora shout towards him "we will meet again bestfriend!"
at that moment, all my rage transferred towards her.
i strode towards her but was quickly stopped chase.
"NO! she was almost choked to death, she doesn't want to deal with your shit!" he yelled and quickly ran towards his sister and whispering something in her ears, making her turn towards me in fear and get in the car.

at the mansion
i got out of the car and made my way to chase's car, and i caught a glimpse of Aurora running towards the house while laughing.
this made the anger inside be build up even more.
"AURORA!"
"FIND HER NOW!" i yelled at my soldiers and made my way towards the direction she left in.

20 minutes. 20 minutes of searching the entire fucking house and still not finding aurora anywhere. in MY house!
i heard shuffling as i passed the 3rd floor's library. i quickly opened the door and heard her reading.
"If all else perished, and he remained, I should still continue to be; and if all else remained, and he were annihilated, the universe would turn to a mighty stranger." she read as i froze at the door
i snapped out of my trance and remembered why i was here in the first place. and as i did, the anger started building up inside me again, and the calmness she caused 2 seconds ago has disappeared.
"What do you think your doing?! give me one reason to not kill you for becoming 'bestfriends' with a mafia leader who attacked our mafia alliance, hiding somewhere in the car and immediately disappearing when we parked the cars, and lastly for entering my property and especially venturing into a place i have banned EVERYONE from entering, and reading a book like you've done nothing!" i screamed in one breath at the top of my lungs
she froze in her place from fear, it was so evident on her face even if she didn't utter a word.
her eyes, I've never noticed how blue they were. like blue orbs against the sun rays.
i quickly got out of my short trance when i saw that they were brimmed with tears that started slowly dripping down.
she suddenly spoke in while trying not to sob "because, you forced me into this"
"you forced me to sign a contract just because i brought you information from a rival gang that your hackers haven't been able to find for ages. you put me through hell, and yet i stayed, not for you but for Chase, Liam, Ayla, Jaxon, and the rest of the mafia that are like a family to me."
"funny you act all tough and strong, but in the end your as broken as i am, if not even more"
"I'm not the one that needs saving" i showed no emotion "its funny really, your as broken as i am but we both try to hide that "
"maybe it was fate." she said out of the blue
"what about fate..?"i asked genuinely confused
"only people that have gone through what you've been through will understand your pain and be able to heal you. it was fate, it brought us together, your as broken as i am, our fears are one. but you will never realize that till you open your eyes." she explained
i felt a tug at my heart for a second, pain. i just realized what she was trying to do.
i lifted my fist up to punch her out of pure anger and frustration, but Liam's picture came in my head, how happy she made him.
i turned around and exited the room quickly making sure to bang the door in the process.
as i was walking my phone rang.
"Leonidas Gambino"
"Leo its me, aunt Susan" i heard my aunts old tired voice on the other end
"Susan..? what is it?" i wasn't in the mood for her family gatherings
"my boy, they found all your mothers belongings, even the place she was placed in after she was murdered." she said while trying to hold a sob
i threw the phone that was in my hand and made it break into pieces as it made contact with the wall.
i ran downstairs and i punched anyone that came across me with so much force it knocked them out cold. and the cycle went on.....

i was constantly punching chase, who chose to try to calm me down.
i couldn't even think at this point.
till i heard someone shout
"LEONIDAS GAMBINO IF YOU DONT STOP RIGHT NOW SO HELP ME GOD I WILL MAKE IT THE LAST DAY YOU BREATH!" aurora shouted so loud causing both me and chase to look up at her
i non hesitantly and quickly made my way to her as she screamed "DONT YOU DARE GET NEAR ME" without even stepping back once
"YOU DONT TELL ME WHAT TO DO!" i yelled back at her and grabbed her neck with my hands and lifted her fragile body up
her brother hollered at me but i payed him no attention.
she suddenly lifted both her legs up while bending them and pushed me ,making me drop her on the ground. i lifted my hand up to punch her and made sure to put all my force in this one.
she crossed the line one too many times, she didn't understand the consequences of her actions, but she was about to.
before i could even react....
"would you have done this if your mother was here?"
i stood there not knowing what to do, my anger was slowly perishing, and i didn't even know why. aurora closed her eyes waiting for a blow that was never gonna come.
My mother. she lost her life trying to defend me, and here i am, breaking her house and ruining the empire she and father built.
her memory made me break down all my mental barriers. aurora really is like her, my mother was free and alive, she was kind and caring, she was the only person who never gave up on me.
with out any rational thinking i started walking up to her and wrapped my hands around her petite body.
i remembered my mother, her scent, her touch, her presence, her voice. Aurora was exactly like her, Liam was right. her presence does remind me of mom. her kindness, her urge to protect and sacrifice her happiness for her loved ones. her forgiveness. her smile.
she looked up at me as i looked down into those blue orbs. that beautiful ocean, that sea full of happiness. full of humanity, full of emotion.
she lifted her small soft hand up and wiped my tears, her touch was electric.
"you really do remind me of my mother."
"why?" she asked making me close my eyes and shake my head, i wasn't ready to tell anyone, i wasn't to ready to admit anything, and especially to myself.
she got on her tippy toes and kissed my cheek.
i was so shocked and confused from this affection.
she smiled at me and i couldn't resist the urge to smile back, so i did.
"told you fate knows what its doing" she laughed with her angelic voice
"maybe it does.." i agreed still looking at her deep eyes
this girl was making me feel things, and for once I'm not objecting.

both aurora and Leo don't even understand what they're feeling so their first instinct is to ignore it and hate each other, but they cant deny the attraction. ya know what i mean..?
