Prompt: 'After the door shut and the footsteps died away'
Alec slumped against the floor of his cell after the door door shut and the footsteps had died away.
'Why do the keep me here?' he thought to himself.
Next thing he knew, the cell door opened with a groan. His head snapped up imediately, causing him to be blinded by the halo of white light shining around the girl standing there. After his eyes had adjusted, he realized that her hair was curly and a flaming bright red. He could not see her face but he would recognize that hair anywhere.
"Emi, what are you doing here? You'll get into trouble."
She dropped to her knees in front of him.
"Oh God. Alec, Im so sorry. He doesn't know who you are. All he knows is that you share my scent. It drove his wolf crazy. I will get you released imediately."
Next thing they knew, a voice thundered out across the small space in the tiny room.
"Emi. Get away from that prisoner. He is dangerous."
Emi threw herself in front of Alec, sheilding him from the furious man.
"Are you implying that my brother, my own flesh and blood, would hurt me Luke?"
